IND vs WI 1st T20 Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report | IND vs WI 1st T20 Dream11 Prediction Today | Trinidad Pitch Report
After the end of an exciting ODI series, West Indies and India will now focus on the T20I format. The first of the five-match series will take place on 3rd August, two days after the conclusion of the 50-over series.
The West Indies will finally be returning to their most preferred format, even though they haven’t been as good in this format either. They missed out on the main part of the T20 World Cup last year and will be hoping to prepare well for the next one, which is set to be played at their home in 2024.
There are several match-winners in their team, especially in the batting unit, who can take the game away from the opponents single-handedly. However, the Men in Maroon have lacked collective team performances in the past and will hope to improve in that aspect.
Meanwhile, India have also started planning for the next year’s World Cup, as they have consistently given opportunities to fresh faces after their loss against England in the global event in Australia. The Men in Blue have started to look past the experienced players in an attempt to build a strong force in the shortest version. The new ones will be eager to showcase their supreme talent under a young captain Hardik Pandya.

IND vs WI 1st T20 Dream11 Prediction – Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
West Indies:
- Kyle Mayers failed to impress in the ODI series, but this is a different format. Mayers can exploit the powerplay overs and provide a brisk start to his team. Moreover, Mayers can also chip in with a few overs, making him a good package.
- Johnson Charles has been in terrific touch in the T20s this year. He has 454 runs at an average of 50.44 and a strike rate of 166.91 so far. Charles has also amassed two centuries.
- Nicholas Pooran was at his threatening best in the recently-concluded Major League Cricket tournament. He was the highest run-getter (388) at an average of 64.67 and a strike rate of 167.24, including a magnificent century in the final. He can again cause serious damage.
- Shimron Hetmyer didn’t do much in the three ODIs. However, the southpaw has been a consistent performer in the T20 format and is among the reliable batters in the West Indies unit.
- Akeal Hosein has been one of the most improved bowlers in the T20 format of late. Hosein can trouble the Indian batters with his variations, especially with his arm ball. He can also bat a bit.
India:
- Shubman Gill has barely put a foot wrong in the T20 format this year. He has 1092 runs at an average of 54.60 and a strike rate of 159.18 in 2023. Gill has also amassed four half-centuries and as many centuries.
- Ishan Kishan was in sublime form in the ODI series, ending with the most runs (184). Expect him to continue his good form in the five-match T20I series as well.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal is coming on the back of a tremendous IPL and debut Test series against the West Indies last month. With the kind of form he’s in, Yashasvi becomes a definite pick in the fantasy teams.
- Suryakumar Yadav requires no validation in the T20s. He has been India’s best batter in this format for the past couple of years and will look to extend that run further in the series.
- Hardik Pandya is a complete package. He played a fine knock of 70* in the final ODI. Another good outing can not be ruled out.
- Arshdeep Singh has been one of India’s main bowlers in the T20Is in the last year or so. He can swing the new ball up front and nail yorkers at his will in the slog overs. Hence, Arshdeep becomes a value pick in this game.
