Four days after the greatest comeback in IPL history, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s season is over. Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the Eliminator by four wickets, and have thus booked a showdown with Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2.

Having won ths toss and bowled, RR kept RCB in check after Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli threatened to run away with proceedings in the powerplay. Led by R Ashwin, RR picked up regular wickets as RCB sought to take the ascendency but couldn’t.

In the field, RCB fought hard in the middle overs to give themselves hope of a seventh-straight win. Cameron Green bowled well, while Kohli’s run out of Jurel looked to have brought the momentum back RCB’s way. However, Shimron Hetmyer’s impactful 14-ball 26 complemented Riyan Parag’s innings perfectly as RR got closer.

After a small stutter by RR, Rovman Powell (16 off 8 balls) added the finishing touches courtesy of two fours and a six to seal a four-wicket win with an over to spare.

Reactions: CSK fans enjoy RR’s victory over RCB in the IPL 2024 Eliminator

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans were particularly happy with RCB’s defeat. On Saturday, RCB pulled off an excellent 27-run win over the Yellow Army which sealed their playoffs qualification. Afterwards, videos emerged of RCB supporters taunting CSK fans in the streets of India and on social media.

Here are some of the most hilarious reactions from RR’s victory over RCB in the IPL 2024 Eliminator.

RR will play SRH at Chepauk on Friday. The winner will play KKR in Sunday’s final at the same venue.

For RCB, their comeback to make the playoffs was incredible. However, it ultimately another year without the title, with planning sure to start soon regarding next season’s mega auction.
