Twitter reactions to Bangladesh all out for 76 | Twitter reactions to Bangladesh getting all-out for 76 in the 3rd T20I against New Zealand
Just a few days after rolling New Zealand for 60, Bangladesh were handed a bit of a taste of their own medicine. The Black Caps returned serve, knocking over the home side for 76 to seal a convincing 52-run victory to keep the series alive.
Tom Latham’s team came into the game after pushing Bangladesh all the way in the second T20I. However, they found themselves in trouble once again at 62/5. But, Henry Nicholls (36*) and Tom Blundell (30*) highlighted New Zealand’s fight as they fought their way to a defendable 128/5.
Thereafter, Bangladesh were never in the hunt. Led by player of the match Ajaz Patel, New Zealand’s spinners ran riot to leave the home side reeling. On another slow, low pitch, Bangladesh struggled badly, with none of their batsmen finding any rythym as they were bowled out for 76 in 19.4 overs.
Ajaz Patel produced the goods with 4/16. He spoke about how nice it is for spinners to operate in such conditions.
“I think as a spinner you thrive on conditions like this. It was nice to get a few up at the top and our spinners collectively did a good job,” said Patel in the post-match presentation.
“I think both Cole and Rachin bowled brilliantly and we identified what ball was the hardest to play on this surface. We know these conditions may not be necessarily easy, but overall it was a good bowling effort. Yeah, Dan gave me clarity about what more these conditions can offer you.”
