Stuart MacGill blows up at Cricket Unfiltered co-host Andrew Menczel during live podcast in huge rant

Stuart MacGill has launched an extraordinary rant at co-host Andrew Menczel during Monday’s episode of the Cricket Unfiltered Podcast.

While discussing Australia’s upcoming Test commitments, including a highly-anticipated three-match tour of South Africa in October, Menczel and MacGill were speaking about hostile crowds. Menczel then referenced the scenes witnessed during Australia’s last tour in 2018, mentioning the treatment of Candice Warner.

“I do think the sexist treatment of Candice Warner by the South African crowds went way over the line,” Menczel said.

“Going in with Sonny Bill Williams masks to try and taunt Warner is low. That is low behaviour. It’s targeting his wife, which I think is pretty poor, and they can go pretty low.”

Stuart MacGill unleashes at co-host during Cricket Unfiltered Podcast episode

MacGill blew up, dismissing Menczel’s words in an extraordinary rant. The former legspinner took exception to the fact that Menczel would even mention the incident, calling him a “f***ing idiot” and “pig-headed”.

“Well I think it’s pretty low talking about it for starters, Menners. I think you didn’t need to go into details there. I think that’s s***. You’re a f***ing idiot. You shouldn’t go into details about things like this because you’re doing exactly the same as the crowd. OK,” MacGill said.

Things began to simmer further as Menczel said it wasn’t his intention. However, MacGill was enraged.

“No, not really, because they were taunting him” replied Menczel, before MacGill saw red, saying “No, no you are. Listen to me now, you’ve raised exactly the same issues, you’re saying the same thing that they did. And that is s***. So we’re not going to talk about that anymore.

“If we’re going to talk about issues to do with one particular player, we can say they’ve talked about personal issues relating to that player.

“Menners, what I want you to do right this minute, because otherwise this is going to be a very, very short-lived relationship, you need to respect players and their families a lot more than you do at the moment,” MacGill said.

“I do respect them … I felt sorry for her,” Menczel replied.

“Listen mate, listen. She’s a friend of mine as well. Listen, I feel sorry for you because you’re obviously so pig-headed because you do not realise you said exactly the same thing as the South African crowd. Exactly the same,” MacGill said.

“And if you cut that out, it’s the last time I ever work with you. You are a moron. Continue. Next topic.”

Menczel was trying to speak from his perspective, but MacGill was having none of it, even threatening to jump over the microphone.

“I won’t cut it out at all, I’ll leave it in. I just think you’re missing the point. You’re missing what I’m trying to say,” Menczel said.

“Move on, move on, move on, move on, move on. Listen, you muppet. When I say move on, I’m not saying keep talking about something,” MacGill replied.

“I may jump across the mic at any second,” he then said as Menczel said the former legspinner looked irritable.

After a few attempts to divert the conversation to Australia’s Test series against Bangladesh in August, a visibly surprised and stunned Menczel decided to end the episode.

“Australia are going up north for three… for two Test matches… actually you know what? That’s it for this episode. Thanks for joining us.”

Comments critical of MacGill’s behaviour during episode

As of 1:30pm Sydney time on Tuesday, the majority of comments on the YouTube video were critical of MacGill’s reaction.

“McGill behaving like a playground bully, what a shame,” wrote one fan.

“Could see exactly this sort of thing coming from a mile away as soon as MacGill came on board.. From the very first episode he was imposing himself on the discussion like it was his podcast and something heated like this always appeared to be just a matter of when.. Menners you need to cut him loose immediately.. The show was actually better before MacGill came into it anyway,” wrote another.

Menczel founded the Cricket Unfiltered Podcast in 2013. MacGill joined as co-host in January this year, but the relationship has quickly turned sour.

You can watch the interaction below from 19:10 onwards.

IND vs WI Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 52nd Match

Two teams with a very aggressive approach, India and the West Indies, will meet in the 52nd match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Eden Gardens, Chennai, will host this game on 1st March 2026 at 7 PM IST. It’s a do-or-die game for both teams to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

India defeated Zimbabwe in their last game, but they still failed to perform at their best as a side. Dropped catches helped them, while a few decisions like bowling Shivam Dube are some areas where they need to work on. Abhishek Sharma finally got going, but he still didn’t look at his fluent best.

The form of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya form is their strength, while Varun Chakaravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah also continued on their consistency. This is a must-win game for team India, and they’ll have to be on their toes against the Windies.

The West Indies, meanwhile, lost their last game against South Africa by nine wickets. Their batters continued their ‘go big or go home’ approach, and they found themselves struggling at 83-7 before Jason Holder (49 runs) and Romario Shepherd (52*) steadied the ship.

Shai Hope and Brandon King’s inconsistency at the top is a big concern for them, while the bowlers also looked helpless in the last match. Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder, and Romario Shepherd will be the key batters for the two-time champions.

Bowling-wise, they need the likes of Shamar Joseph and Matthew Forde to deliver in this all-important encounter. Their batting depth is the main strength for the West Indies, and they’ll have to be at their best against a very strong Indian side.

This promises to be one of the best matches in the tournament as two explosive sides will lock horns in a virtual quarter-final.

Eden Gardens Kolkata Pitch Report and Weather

A good batting track with plenty of runs will await both sides. The ball will come onto the bat nicely, allowing the batters to play their shots. There will be something for the spinners, but the batters are expected to dominate this game. The average first innings score in Eden in 2026 (T20Is) is 181 runs, and chasing sides have won seven out of 16 games played here in the last five years.

The weather will be clear when the game starts. The temperature will be around 26 degrees Celsius and no rain is predicted.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for IND vs WI: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Ishan Kishan has 214 runs at an average of 35.66 and has struck at a rate of 186.08. He is getting his side off to a flying start in almost every match and will be a key batter for India at the top. He will be a good C/VC option as well.

Key batter picks:

  • Abhishek Sharma scored 55 runs in the last game after a string of low scores. He’ll be itching to continue his form from the last game and do well against the West Indies. He can decimate any bowling attack on his day. Abhishek is another good C/VC choice.
  • Suryakumar Yadav did well in the last game, and his side will expect more from him in this game and in the upcoming games if India qualifies. He plays all around the ground and has scored 213 runs at an average of 42.60, but his strike rate is on the lower side – 138.31. Surya will be an excellent C/VC pick.
  • Shimron Hetmyer has been the main man for the Windies with the bat. He has 221 runs in six games at an average of 44.20 and has struck at 182.64 with two fifties in this WC. He’s good against the spinners and will play a crucial role against the Indian spinners.
  • Sherfane Rutherford has been in terrific touch since the SA20 2025-26. He has been scoring runs consistently and averages 84.50 at a strike rate of 181.72 for his 169 runs in five innings this tournament. He will be a must in your fantasy teams.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Hardik Pandya is the backbone of the Indian team. He contributes in every game with both bat and ball. Hardik has 155 runs and 5 wickets in 6 matches. He will be an ideal C/VC choice, considering his all-round attributes.
  • Shivam Dube is bowling 2-3 overs in every game and has been in top form with the bat. He will be the key batter against the West Indian spin attack. He has five wickets and 158 runs in six matches so far. Try him as C/VC in some of your teams.
  • Jason Holder is in sublime touch with the bat, and twice he has scored crucial runs down the order for his team. He has 104 runs and eight wickets to his name till now. Holder will be a key bowler for his side with the new ball, as they must pick up early wickets if they are to win.
  • Romario Shepherd scored 52* runs in the last game. He’s one of the most aggressive batters going around and can turn the game on its head when on song. Shepherd will bowl 2-3 overs, as he can trouble the Indian batters with his hard lengths.
  • Roston Chase can trouble the Indian batters, as they’ve had their struggles against off-spin in recent times. Chase is a wily bowler and can be a threat to the Indian left-handers. He’s good against the spinners and can contribute with the bat too.

Key bowler picks:

  • Jasprit Bumrah has seven wickets in the tournament so far. He will pose a big threat to the West Indian batters as they like to attack the bowlers. Try him as C/VC in this match, as he can pick up wickets in clusters.
  • Varun Chakaravarthy is another threat to the West Indies considering how they like to bat. He can pick up 2-3 wickets easily if they go on to attack him. He’ll be an ideal C/VC pick too.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026, 52nd Match: IND vs WI Match Prediction: Who will win?

Both sides like to bat aggressively and take on the bowlers. The West Indies have insane batting depth, while India also bats very deep. The game will be decided on how the spinners perform from either of the two teams. The West Indies will have to take on Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakaravarthy, and it may prove too much for them.

India to win.

SA vs ZIM Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 51st Match

South Africa will take on Zimbabwe in the 51st match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on 1st March 2026, at 3 PM IST. It’s a dead rubber, as South Africa has already qualified for the playoffs, while Zimbabwe are out.

South Africa is the only undefeated side in the tournament. They have been in phenomenal form as a side with their batters and bowlers performing exceptionally well. Their top three are scoring runs consistently while the bowlers are playing as a unit.

The likes of Aiden Markram (264 runs), Quinton de Kock (171 runs), Ryan Rickelton (197 runs), and David Miller (146 runs) will be the pillars of their batting, while Lungi Ngidi (11 wickets), Marco Jansen (11 wickets), and Corbin Bosch (9 wickets) will lead the bowling.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe have had a poor Super 8 after an excellent group stage. The difference in their depth and experience was quite visible compared to the other sides, but this has been an inspiring campaign nonetheless. They defeated Australia and Sri Lanka, which is a great sign.

Brian Bennett (277 runs) scored a brilliant 97* in the last game against India. Sikandar Raza has also played well for his 133 runs. However, can the bowlers, who have conceded two 250+ scores in a row, keep South Africa in check?

Zimbabwe will look to play for pride and end their campaign on a winning note.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 51st Match: SA vs ZIM Probable Playing XIs

South Africa: 1. Aiden Markram (c), 2. Quinton de Kock (wk), 3. Ryan Rickelton, 4. Dewald Brevis, 5. David Miller, 6. Tristan Stubbs/Jason Smith, 7. Marco Jansen, 8. Corbin Bosch, 9. Kagiso Rabada, 10. Keshav Maharaj/George Linde, 11. Lungi Ngidi

Zimbabwe: 1. Briant Bennett, 2. Tadiwanashe Marumani (wk), 3. Ryan Burl, 4. Sikandar Raza (c), 5. Dion Myers, 6. Tony Munyonga, 7. Tashinga Musekiwa, 8. Brad Evans, 9. Wellington Masakadza/Tinotenda Maposa, 10. Richard Ngarava, 11. Blessing Muzarabani

Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score is 160 runs, and chasing sides have won four of the five games played here. There will be something on offer for the spinners, but batters will enjoy here, as the wicket will be relatively flatter, and the small boundary dimensions will mean only one thing – runs.

The weather will be clear with no chance of rain, and the temperature will be around 22 degrees Celsius at the start of the game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for SA vs ZIM: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Quinton de Kock scored a quick-fire 47 in the last game. He is averaging 28.50 at a strike rate of 137.90 with one fifty in this World Cup. De Kock hasn’t been at his best, and it’ll be a good time for him to do that ahead of the semi-final. He’ll be a good C/VC choice too.
  • Ryan Rickelton has been in top form for the Proteas. He is a good batter against the spinners and has been very consistent. Rickelton has 197 runs so far, including a fifty. He scored 48* in the last game. Another good C/VC pick.

Key batter picks:

  • Dewlad Brevis will be a good pick from the batting section. He’s been far from his best, but he’s a match-winner on his day, and we saw that against India. He can decimate the spinners and likes to hit sixes for fun.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Marco Jansen has been bowling brilliantly. He’s picking up wickets consistently with his pace, bounce, and variations. Jansen has 11 wickets at a strike rate of 10.80. He will trouble the Zimbabwe batters. Try him as C/VC in this match.
  • Sikandar Raza has 133 runs and two wickets to his name so far. He’s been in good form in the last few matches and is the best player for his team. Raza will be determined to do well in this game.
  • Aiden Markram is in magnificent form. He is the third-highest run-scorer with 264 runs at an average of 66 and a strike rate of 178.37 with three fifties. He scored a match-winning 86* in the last game. Markram will be the best captain choice for this match.
  • Brian Bennett has shown his class in the tournament so far. He has scored runs in almost every game Zimbabwe has played except one. He’s the second highest run-scorer with 277 runs in five games and has been dismissed only once with three fifties to his name. He will be a top C/VC option.

Key bowler picks:

  • Lungi Ngidi is bullying the batters with his slower delivery. We saw that against India and in the last match against the West Indies. He has 11 wickets at an economy of just 6.80. He will be a top C/VC pick.
  • Blessing Muzarabani has 12 wickets at an economy of 7.80 and a bowling strike rate of 10. He’s picking up wickets in every game, but the fielders will need to support him well if Zimbabwe is to win this game.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • Keshav Mahraj/George Linde
  • Brad Evans
  • Corbin Bosch
  • Richard Ngarava

Other Matchups and Facts

  • South Africa is undefeated in the tournament so far.
  • Sikandar Raza vs Lungi Ngidi (T20Is): 0 runs, 1 dismissal in 4 deliveries.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 51st Match: SA vs ZIM Match Prediction: Who will win?

South Africa will be the clear favourites to win this game, but this tournament so far has taught us that Zimbabwe are not to be taken lightly. But Zimbabwe is heavily reliant on a few batters for the bulk of the scoring, and that can turn out to be the decisive factor in this game.

South Africa to win.

What margin do Pakistan need to beat Sri Lanka by to qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup semi-finals?

Another ICC tournament, another net run rate scenario for Pakistan. England’s stunning win over New Zealand on Friday means Pakistan enter their final match against already-eliminated Sri Lanka with their tournament still alive.

However, the fact New Zealand lost narrowly means the Black Caps are still in the box seat to qualify for the semi-finals. Mitchell Santner’s team still boast a net run rate of 1.390 compared to Pakistan’s -0.461.

Scenario: Pakistan need to beat Sri Lanka by big margin to qualify for 2026 T20 World Cup semi-finals

To overtake New Zealand on net run rate, Pakistan need to win by 65 runs or chase any target in 13.1 overs. In both scenarios, Pakistan must bowl Sri Lanka out cheaply.

If Pakistan set a target of 180, they will need to bowl Sri Lanka for 115 or less. If they bowl first, limiting Sri Lanka to a similar kind of score gives them a chance of chasing it in 79 balls or less.

However, Pakistan also must deliver the kind of batting impact they’ve failed to produce for most of the tournament. Only Sahibzada Farhan and Shadab Khan have scored more than 100 runs for Pakistan in this World Cup, as the likes of Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha and Babar Azam have struggled to get going.

Sri Lanka’s awful form, though, gives Pakistan hope. The co-hosts batted terribly against England and New Zealand, losing the matches by 51 runs and 61 runs respectively.

The performances left Sri Lanka fans very disappointed. Dasun Shanaka acknowledged the embarrassing performances, while also pointing to public negativity as a reason for the team’s poor display. So, will Sri Lanka be motivated by pride in this match against Pakistan?

“It is very embarrassing to disappoint the home crowd. You know, they’ve been very supportive,” Dasun Shanaka said after the New Zealand defeat, as quoted by NDTV Sports.

“A lot of times what we see and hear are negative things. No matter how we as cricketers try to stay positive, there is negativity outside,” Shanaka said.

“That’s a big loss for Sri Lankan cricket. This is the only sport we have, and I don’t know if we’ll be able to protect it. If you look outside the stadium, you’ll see how many people are standing outside with mics, and people will say stuff without having watched the match.”

SL vs PAK Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 50th Match

Sri Lanka and Pakistan will lock horns against each other in the 10th Super 8 contest (50th match) of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The match will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele, on 28th February 2026, at 7 PM IST.

Co-hosts Sri Lanka are already ruled out of the semifinal race. They lost their last game against New Zealand by 61 runs and are yet to win a game in the Super 8 round. Their batters disappointed in this tournament, as Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka carried the batting, and when they got out early, none of the other batters got going consistently.

Their bowling has been good with Dushamantha Chameera, Maheesh Theekshana, and Dunith Wellalage doing well. Defeating Australia by eight wickets is their only considerable achievement in the tournament, and they’ll be itching to sign off with a win.

Pakistan, meanwhile, got a lifeline as England defeated New Zealand from a bleak-looking situation, which gave Pakistan the chance to qualify for the semis if they win this game by a big margin.

They are having their own issues in batting, as no one apart from Sahibzada Farhan has performed for them. The situation is so bad that apart from Farhan, only Shadab Khan has scored 100+ runs in the tournament so far, and he’s their lower middle-order/finisher with the bat.

Bowling-wise, Shaheen Afridi showed signs of returning to form, and Usman Tariq has bowled well. They’ll need contributions from the other bowlers and batters if they are to win this game by either 64 runs or in 13.1 overs and qualify for the semi-final.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 50th Match: SL vs PAK Probable Playing XIs

Sri Lanka: 1. Pathum Nissanka, 2. Kusal Mendis (wk), 3. Charith Asalanka, 4. Pavan Rathnayake, 5. Dasun Shanaka (c), 6. Kamindu Mendis, 7. Dushan Hemantha, 8. Dunith Wellalage, 9. Dushmantha Chameera, 10. Maheesh Theekshana, 11. Dilshan Madushanka

The key question for Pakistan is where Babar Azam bats. Could they be tempted to open with him and drop Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha slightly down the order?

Also, do Pakistan play Abrar Ahmed? Conditions should suit him and he has nine wickets against Sri Lanka at an average of 14.33 and economy of 5.86.

Pakistan: 1. Sahibzada Farhan, 2. Saim Ayub, 3. Salman Ali Agha (c), 4. Babar Azam, 5. Usman Khan (wk), 6. Fakhar Zaman, 7. Shadab Khan, 8. Faheem Ashraf, 9. Mohammad Nawaz/Abrar Ahmed, 10. Shaheen Afridi, 11. Usman Tariq

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

The pitch at Pallekele has been a good one for batting this tournament, but the spinners have dominated in the last couple of games. There will be grip and turn, and batters will have to work hard for their runs.

However, batters, once set, can play their shots. We should see a similar kind of wicket is for this game too. Scores in the range of 150-170 are expected, and teams may prefer chasing, but batting first will be a good option as well.

It will be a clear day at Pallekele with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 21 degrees Celsius with 74% humidity at the start of the game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for SL vs PAK: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Kusal Mendis has scored three fifties in the tournament so far, but he’s failed to score when the team needed it the most. He averages 39.40 at a strike rate of 114.53 for his 197 runs. He will be the best option from the wicket-keeping section in fantasy cricket.

Key batter picks:

  • Pathum Nissanka has one hundred and one fifty to his name, and he has scored 208 runs in six games at an average of 41.60, striking at 152.90. However, nearly half of those runs came in one innings. He is capable of delivering here, though.
  • Sahibzada Farhan has 283 runs infive5 innings at an average of 70.75 at a strike rate of 158.10, with two fifties and one century to his name. He’s currently the highest run-scorer of the tournament and has been the best batter for Pakistan. He will be a top C/VC choice for your fantasy teams.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Saim Ayub has been in abysmal form with the bat, scoring just 70 runs in five innings. But he’ll bat at the top and bowl 3-4 overs consistently. So, he will fetch points, which makes him a good fantasy pick.
  • Shadab Khan will be a key batter in the middle order for Pakistan, as he’s the only one except Farhan who has shown some signs of good batting form. He will bowl 3-4 overs too and will be a good C/VC option as well. He has 111 runs and five wickets so far in the tournament.
  • Kamindu Mendis has 114 runs at a strike rate of 175.38 and has picked up two wickets too. He has batted aggressively and is expected to bowl a few overs in this game. Mendis is a good player of spin bowling and will be a key batter for his side.

Key bowler picks:

  • Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up four wickets in the last game against England. He picked wickets with the new ball, which is his strength. He also used variations assessing the conditions in the death overs. Afridi can go through Sri Lanka’s shaky top order on his day.
  • Usman Tariq will be the player you can’t miss out on. He is a wicket-taker and has 10 wickets in four innings at an economy of 6.32 and a bowling strike rate of just 9.3 in the ICC T20 WC 2026. The conditions will suit him, and he’ll be an excellent C/VC choice.
  • Maheesh Theekshana has 11 wickets in six games. He’s been the best bowler for Sri Lanka and will pose a threat to Pakistan’s struggling batting unit. The conditions will aid the spinners, and Theekshana can exploit that.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • Dushan Hemantha
  • Mohammad Nawaz
  • Dushmantha Chameera
  • Babar Azam

Other Matchups and Facts

  • Pakistan must win this game by 61 runs or in 13.1 overs to overcome New Zealand’s net run-rate and qualify for the semifinals.
  • Sahibzada Farhan has two fifties in six T20Is against Sri Lanka (196 runs, avg. 39.20, SR148.48).

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 50th Match: SL vs PAK Match Prediction: Who will win?

Both teams have struggled with the bat so far and are heavily reliant on one or two batters to do the bulk of the scoring. Pakistan has more batting depth in their squad, and it can turn the game in their favour, especially considering the conditions.

Pakistan to win.

What is the Kolkata weather for the IND vs WI 2026 T20 World Cup match?

The Kolkata weather paints a positive picture for cricket fans. Clear skies are forecast for the next week, with a 0% chance of rain on March 1 according to Google, AccuWeather and BBC Weather.

It will be a warm day on Sunday with a top temperature of 33 degrees, which will drop to about 26 degrees at the start of the match. The clear conditions means there is the possibility of dew.

The average first innings score at Eden Gardens in this World Cup is 181.6. Teams batting first have won four of the five matches. However, the captain who wins the toss could choose to field given this is the first all-night game here in this tournament.

India and West Indies will meet in a T20I for the first time since 2023. The Windies won that five-match series 3-2 in the Caribbean and US. But, India have gone from strength-to-strength since, winning the majority of their matches and sealing the 2024 T20 World Cup title.

Both teams have a case to win this match. West Indies were previously unbeaten in this tournament before their loss to South Africa. India, after their own loss to South Africa which threatened to derail their campaign, got back on track with a huge win over Zimbabwe.

The match will begin at 7:00pm local time.

ENG vs NZ Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 49th Match

Two contenders for the 2026 T20 World Cup title go head-to-head in the 49th match of the tournament. England are through to the semi-finals, while victory for New Zealand here will seal top place in Group 2 of the Super Eights.

Both teams have found themselves in trouble at certain times in this World Cup, but they’ve been able to recover. England, courtesy of Harry Brook’s magnificent hundred, beat Pakistan two nights ago to confirm their passage to the knockouts. New Zealand were in all sorts of trouble against Sri Lanka, but then turned 98/6 off 16 overs into a 61-run win.

However, what the games showed is both teams have room for improvement. While England prevailed against Pakistan, it was an error-riddled match where Brook’s brilliance stood out like a sore thumb. For New Zealand, their collapse is something they don’t want to repeat as they have a shot at a semi-final berth.

Both sides have plenty of depth, which can hold them in good stead here. Will Jacks has been England’s best player, while Mitchell Santner continues to deliver with the bat in recent times. Also, the emergence of Cole McConchie can give the Black Caps another dimension.

T20 World Cup 2026 49th Match: ENG vs NZ Possible Playing XIs

One area of concern for England is Jos Buttler’s horrendous form. But, England are likely to stick with their greatest white-ball batter.

England: 1. Phil Salt, 2. Jos Buttler (wk), 3. Harry Brook (c), 4. Jacob Bethell, 5. Tom Banton, 6. Sam Curran, 7. Will Jacks, 8. Jamie Overton, 9. Liam Dawson, 10. Jofra Archer, 11. Adil Rashid.

New Zealand will likely stick with the same XI.

New Zealand: 1. Tim Seifert (wk), 2. Finn Allen, 3. Rachin Ravindra, 4. Glenn Phillips, 5. Daryl Mitchell, 6. Mark Chapman, 7. Mitchell Santner (c), 8. Cole McConchie, 9. Matt Henry, 10. Ish Sodhi, 11. Lockie Ferguson

R. Premadasa Stadium Colombo Pitch Report and Weather

As confirmed by ESPNcricinfo, this game will be played on the same pitch where New Zealand thrashed Sri Lanka. The ball spun plenty in that game, and the spinners will be a key factor once again.

The average first innings score on this ground in this World Cup is 172.5. Teams batting first have won four of the five matches. As a result, there is the good option of batting first for the captain who wins the toss.

A clear and humid evening is forecast with no chance of rain.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for ENG vs NZ: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicketkeeper picks:

  • Phil Salt has one fifty in two T20I innings against England. The opener played beautifully two games ago in slow conditions against Sri Lanka.
  • Tim Seifert is yet to score a fifty in 12 T20I innings against England, but has plenty of starts. He averages 28.80 with a strike rate of 140.48.

Key batter picks:

  • Harry Brook batted at number three against Pakistan and he reaped the rewards, hitting a magnificent 51-ball 100. In seven T20I innings against New Zealand, Brook has smashed 227 runs at an average of 37.83 and strike rate of 173.28.
  • Rachin Ravindra has found form in the past two matches (59* vs. Canada and 32 vs. Sri Lanka). Also, he played a crucial role with the ball against Sri Lanka, taking 4/27. England have a number of right-handers, so expect Ravindra to bowl again.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Glenn Phillips has enjoyed past success against England, hitting two fifties in six T20Is (238 runs, avg. 39.66, SR 154.54). His bowling will also be key in these conditions.
  • Not only is Mitchell Santner a threat with the ball on these pitches, but his batting has gone to another level. Since the start of 2025, Santner has scored 310 T20I runs at an average of 38.8 and strike rate of 170.3. The captain also has the most wickets in ENG-NZ T20Is (23) at an average of 20.34 and strike rate of 15.17.
  • Will Jacks has been outstanding in this World Cup. He is striking at 176.66 with the bat and has five wickets to his name.

Key bowler picks:

  • Matt Henry has conceded a whopping 68 off 30 balls in all T20s against Jos Buttler. But, given Buttler’s terrible form, an opportunity awaits Henry to strike early.
  • Jofra Archer is England’s leading wicket-taker in this World Cup (10). He is striking every 13.80 deliveries.

Other Players to consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Sam Curran’s changes of pace will be key at Colombo.
  • There is a big difference between Finn Allen’s numbers against pace (avg. 67, SR 200) and spin (avg. 13, SR 113) in this World Cup. It will be interesting to see what he can produce in these conditions.
  • Jacob Bethell can pick up fantasy points in all three facets of the game. Provided his hand injury has healed, he can be called on to bowl overs in these conditions.
  • Liam Dawson is selected by 34.05% of Dream11 teams. He is an excellent differential pick on Sri Lankan pitches, especially after taking 3/24 against Pakistan. He can also contribute with the bat.
  • Jamie Overton has nine wickets in this World Cup, striking every 13.80 deliveries.
  • Adil Rashid in T20Is against New Zealand: 14 inns, 18 wickets, avg. 30.20, SR 21.20.

  • Sam Curran vs. Tim Seifert in all T20s: 59 balls, 96 runs, one wicket.
  • Adil Rashid vs. Daryl Mitchell in all T20s: 25 balls, 31 runs, one wicket.
  • Mitchell Santner vs. Phil Salt in all T20s: 31 balls, 43 runs, one wicket.

IND vs ZIM Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 48th Match

India will take on Zimbabwe in the 48th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, will host this game on 26th February 2026 at 7 PM IST. It’s a do-or-die game for both teams to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

India lost their last game against South Africa by 76 runs. They started off well with the ball, but fell away badly afterwards. The batters failed to get going, and eventually they suffered a big – and potentially fatal – loss. India now needs to win both their games, including this one, by a big margin and hope that South Africa defeats the West Indies.

India needs Abhishek Sharma to get going, and it’ll be a headache for them to decide whether to continue with Tilak Varma or get Sanju Samson back in the XI. Axar Patel should also come back to the side. The bowlers are doing well, but there is still room for improvement, while the top four must fire in this game if India is to keep their hopes alive.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, lost their last game against the West Indies by 107 runs. The dropped catch off Shimron Hetmyer proved to be very costly. The bowlers are in good form, but they need contributions from the batters, except Brian Bennett and Sikandar Raza to an extent.

They’ll have to be sharp in the field and catch their chances, as it’s not going to be an easy game against India but they’ve reached here after defeating Australia and Sri Lanka, so they cannot be taken lightly.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 48th Match: IND vs ZIM Probable Playing XIs

India: 1. Sanju Samson, 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Ishan Kishan (wk), 4. Suryakumar Yadav (c), 5. Rinku Singh, 6. Hardik Pandya, 7. Shivam Dube, 8. Axar Patel, 9. Jasprit Bumrah, 10. Arshdeep Singh, 11. Varun Chakaravarthy

Zimbabwe: 1. Briant Bennett, 2. Tadiwanashe Marumani (wk), 3. Ryan Burl, 4. Sikandar Raza (c), 5. Dion Myers, 6. Tony Munyonga, 7. Tashinga Musekiwa, 8. Brad Evans, 9. Richard Ngarava, 10. Graeme Cremer, 11. Blessing Muzarabani

MA Chidambaram Stadium Chepauk Chennai Pitch Report and Weather

The wicket at Chepauk has been an excellent one for batting. The average first innings score here is 187 runs this tournament.

The ball comes onto the bat nicely, and there is little to no help for the bowlers, including the spinners. Teams may prefer chasing, but batting first will be a good option too. Scores in the range of 160-180 are expected; it can be more if India bats first.

The weather will be clear and humid when the game starts. The temperature will be around 26 degrees Celsius with 73% humidity.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for IND vs ZIM: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Ishan Kishan is in great form and is scoring runs consistently at a very high strike rate. He has 176 runs at a strike rate of 193.40, including two fifties. He’ll be a key batter for India at the top and a popular C/VC choice.

Key batter picks:

  • Abhishek Sharma will be a key batter for India. He too will attack from the first ball and can be very dangerous on his day. His current form has been abysmal, but he’s a quality player, and it’s just a matter of time before he fires. Try him as C/VC in this match.
  • Suryakumar Yadav, apart from that one innings against the USA, hasn’t been at his fluent best. He has scored 180 runs, but his strike rate is just 127.65. Despite all this, he will be a must in your fantasy teams.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Hardik Pandya has 105 runs at a strike rate of 143.83, including a fifty, and he has picked up five wickets as well. Hardik is arguably the best all-rounder in white-ball cricket at the moment, and you can’t miss out on him in your fantasy teams.
  • Shivam Dube is one of the most consistent performers for India in the tournament so far. He has 158 runs at an average of 31.60 and has struck at a rate of 154.90 with one fifty to his name. He has picked up four wickets as well.
  • Brian Bennett has been the best batter for his side till now. He has 180 runs in four innings. He hasn’t batted at a high strike rate but has played well, holding one end with the others playing around him. Bennett can roll his arm over as well in this match.
  • Sikandar Raza has been showing glimpses of him coming back to form with the bat. He has 102 runs in 4 innings at an average of 51 and a strike rate of 167.21. His bowling will be key as India have had their struggles against offspin.
  • Brad Evans is bowling well, and he showed his batting skills in the last game (43 runs, including 5 sixes). He has picked up nine wickets as well at an economy of 8.51. Evans will be akey player for Zimbabwe and in fantasy cricket.

Key bowler picks:

  • Jasprit Bumrah has seven wickets in the tournament so far. He will pose a big threat to Zimbabwe’s top order. Try him as C/VC in this match, as he can pick up wickets in clusters.
  • Varun Chakaravarthy is a genuine wicket-taker. He will fancy his chances in this match. Varun has 10 wickets at a strike rate of 9.6, and his economy is 6.81. He’ll be another excellent C/VC choice.
  • Arshdeep Singh is another must-have in your fantasy teams. He can pick up wickets with the new ball and has five wickets in the tournament so far.
  • Blessing Muzarabani is the go-to man for Zimbabwe with the ball. He is bowling at a good pace and hitting the right areas. Muzarabani has picked up 11 wickets at an economy of 7.06, and his bowling strike rate is just 8.70 in this World Cup.

Other Matchups and Facts

  • The losing team will be all-but-out of semi-finals contention.
  • Abhishek Sharma vs Blessing Muzarabani (T20Is): 5 runs, 7 deliveries, and one dismissal.
  • Sanju Samson vs Blessing Muzarabani (T20Is): 14 runs, 13 deliveries, and one dismissal.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 48th Match: IND vs ZIM Match Prediction: Who will win?

Despite Zimbabwe’s promising campaign, India will start as the clear favourites to win this game. But they shouldn’t take things for granted, as Zimbabwe can defeat any side, and we have already seen that twice.

However, Zimbabwe lack in batting firepower and this is where they can lose this game.

India to win.

WI vs SA Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – T20 World Cup 2026 47th Match

West Indies and South Africa will lock horns against each other in the 47th game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on 26th February 2026, at 3 PM IST. Both sides are unbeaten and are in excellent form. It promises to be a thriller.

The West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by a big margin of 107 runs in their first Super 8 game. Shimron Hetmyer (85 runs) showed his hitting prowess while Rovman Powell (59 runs) also performed superbly. Gudakesh Motie (4 wickets) continued his good form while the other bowlers also chipped in for the Windies.

They have been very consistent with both bat and ball in the tournament so far and are one of the top contenders to lift the title. They bat deep, their spinners are in good form, the pacers are also bowling well, and the all-rounders are contributing consistently.

Meanwhile, South Africa defeated India in their last game by 76 runs. David Miller (63 runs) held the batting after a top-order collapse alongside Dewald Brevis (45 runs) and Tristan Stubbs (44 runs*). Marco Jansen (4 wickets) and Keshav Maharaj (3 wickets) were disciplined with their bowling and saw their side over the line.

The Proteas are also in excellent form. They bat very deep, and their bowlers have been in exceptional form. They still need some consistency from Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton in the Super 8 round, but overall, they’re one of the strongest sides in the competition.

Narendra Modi Ahmedabad Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium has been a balanced one. The batters can play their shots, pacers get movement with the new ball and spinners also get good purchase as the game progresses.

Overall, we should see a sporting pitch for this game. Scores in the range of 180-200 are expected. Teams may prefer chasing, but batting first has been fruitful at this venue, especially if you score 180+.

The weather will be clear with no chance of rain, and the temperature will be around 33 degrees Celsius at the start of the game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for WI vs SA: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Quinton de Kock has failed to get going in the last two games, but he’s been in top form lately. He will look to attack the West Indian bowlers in the powerplay, and he scored a century against them just before the T20 World Cup. De Kock will be a must in your fantasy teams.

Key batter picks:

  • Shimron Hetmyer is in the form of his life. He’s scoring runs consistently and hitting sixes for fun. He will be a key batter for his side against the likes of Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen. Hetmyer will be a top C/VC pick as well. Hetmyer in T20 WC 2026: 219 runs at an average of 54.75 at a strike rate of 185.59 with 2 fifties.
  • Sherfane Rutherford is another in-form batter in this game. He has 157 runs at a strike rate of 189.15. He’s performing consistently in the lower middle order for his side and will be another must-pick.
  • Dewald Brevis played a crucial knock of 45 runs against India. He looked comfortable and attacked when the ball was in his zone. Brevis will be the most important batter for his side against the likes of Gudakesh Motie and Akeal Hosein, considering his spin-hitting abilities.
  • David Miller played one of the best knocks in T20 WC history against India. He held his nerves and batted brilliantly. Miller has been in top form and is taking on the spinners. You can’t miss out on him in your fantasy teams as he loves Ahmedabad too.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Marco Jansen has been bowling brilliantly. His new knuckle-cutter delivery is deceiving the batters, and he’s hitting the deck hard alongside moving the new ball. He’s more than capable with the bat and will be an excellent C/VC option.
  • Romario Shepherd didn’t bowl in the last game but scored a crucial 21 runs off just 10 deliveries. He’s a brute hitter and has picked up six wickets in two innings, including a hat trick and a fifer in the game against Scotland.
  • Jason Holder has eight wickets and 55 runs (196.42 strike rate) in this World Cup. He is performing consistently and will fetch points from both bat and ball. Holder’s hitting has improved quite a lot in recent times, and he’ll play a key role in this game with both bat and ball.
  • Protea skipper Aiden Markram is again a must-have in your fantasy teams. He has 182 runs at an average of 45.40 and a strike rate of 178.43, including a couple of fifties to his name. He will surely come on to bowl against Hetmyer and Rutherford which makes him an ideal C/VC pick.

Key bowler picks:

  • Gudakesh Motie is wreaking havoc in the middle overs. He is bowling chinaman as well to go with his traditional left-arm orthodox bowling style. Motie has 10 wickets in five games at a strike rate of 10.80. It will be an exciting contest between he and the South African middle order.

India need international cricket more than they think they do – Greg Chappell

Greg Chappell believes India, despite their financial might, still need international cricket.

The former Australia batsman, who coached India from June 2005 to April 2007, revealed that an official told him just before the birth of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that India are strong enough to operate on their own. The IPL has since become a phenomenon and one of the richest leagues in the world.

Greg Chappell on why India needs international cricket

However, Chappell said a strong international game helps the IPL thrive, and the sport can have even greater financial power with Indians moving to different parts of the world.

“They need it [international cricket] more than they think they do,” Chappell said on The Grade Cricketer Podcast.

“I remember many years ago, when I was in India and IPL was just starting out, an Indian official told me that India don’t need the rest of the world. We can play, we can do it ourselves.

“I said well that might be so, but you’ll find that you’ll be needing players from all around the world to make this the competition you really want it to be.”

Overseas stars have lit up the IPL over the years, including Brendon McCullum who smashed 158* in the first-ever game in 2008. Each team can field up to four internationals in their XI.

Chappell then said India can’t play the game in a vacuum as they also have so many passionate fans around the world.

“India can’t play the game in a vacuum. I don’t think they want to in that sense,” he said.

“It is the Indian diaspora that are taking cricket around the world; making cricket one of the fastest-growing sports in the world because Indian people have moved to many parts of the world.

“I wasn’t joking when I said in 2050, the US will be one of the top three cricket countries in the world.”

India generates a huge portion of the ICC’s revenue – believed to be between 80-90%. The BCCI receives approximately 40% in the ICC’s revenue distribution per year between 2024 and 2027, with $533 million distributed between the 12 Full Member nations and $67 million between the Associates.
