CSK vs GT Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 62 | CSK vs GT Dream11 Prediction Today | Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans Key Players | Wankhede Pitch Report

One of the most established and successful teams in IPL history have been shown up by the newbies. Chennai Super Kings only have pride to play for now after an abject batting display against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. Their 97-all out was a huge anti-climax after the momentum they had built in previous matches – reflective of their IPL 2022 campaign.

The opposite can be said of Gujarat Titans. They became the first team to qualify for the playoffs after an outstanding bowling display to dismantle fellow newbies Lucknow, and they will now be aiming for more of the same with the ball to lock up a top-two spot. Rashid Khan continues to weave his magic with 450 T20 wickets now to his name, while on the batting front, Shubman Gill has important time at the crease under his belt.

A game against a team with nothing to lose is a good test for Gujarat. They will look to further tune their performance in time for the playoffs, and this is good preparation. For Chennai, it is a chance for a number of players to put their hands up and show some pride. After all, there is always the question of retentions for next season and beyond.

The previous meeting between the teams was a classic Gujarat heist. David Miller smashed a memorable 94* off 51 balls and Rashid Khan belted 40 off 21 balls. What does this game have in store?

Possible Playing 11

Chennai Super Kings: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Devon Conway, 3. Moeen Ali, 4. Robin Uthappa, 5. Ambati Rayudu, 6. MS Dhoni (c & wk), 7. Shivam Dube, 8. Dwayne Bravo, 9. Simarjeet Singh, 10. Maheesh Theekshana, 11. Mukesh Choudhary

Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill, 2. Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 3. Matthew Wade, 4. Hardik Pandya (c), 5. David Miller, 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7.
Rashid Khan, 8. Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, 9. Alzarri Joseph, 10. Yash Dayal, 11. Mohammed Shami

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Chennai Super Kings:

  • Devon Conway fell for a golden duck last game after three consecutive fifties. If he gets through the powerplay today, watch out as he has a strike rate of 196.55 vs spin this season (114 runs off 58 balls, one dismissal).
  • Ruturaj Gaikwad has struggled for the most part this season. However, one of his good days was against Gujarat, where he scored 73 off 48 balls.
  • Gaikwad has good numbers against Rashid Khan, with 43 runs off 25 balls (one dismissal).
  • Moeen Ali is also a recognised spin-hitter in the middle overs. He has a strike rate of 148.87 in eight matches at the Wankhede, with a total of 198 runs at an average of 28.29. There are also a few left-handers Moeen can target with his off-spin.
  • Dwayne Bravo has taken the most wickets at the death this season (11). He was superb against GT earlier in IPL 2022, where he took 3/23. Also, he has taken 28 wickets in 21 T20s on this ground at a strike rate of 15.86.
  • Maheesh Theekshana has taken six wickets in the powerplay this season at an average of 19.83. He took 2/24 against GT earlier in IPL 2022, and will be key against their left-handers in particular.
  • Mukesh Choudhary has taken the most powerplay wickets this season (11).

Gujarat Titans:

  • Shubman Gill has struck two consecutive half-centuries and 177 runs in his past five knocks. He does have two half-centuries in nine knocks vs CSK, but only averages 22.25 against them. Also, he has scored just 49 runs in six innings at the Wankhede. It’s a big game for him.
  • David Miller played one of his best ever IPL knocks against CSK earlier this season (94*). Overall, he has smashed 349 runs in 12 innings vs CSK at an average of 38.78 and strike rate of 147.88.
  • Hardik Pandya missed the match vs CSK earlier this season. He strikes at 157.69 against them in his IPL career. He will be aiming to return to form at a ground he has plenty of experience at: 39 inns, 820 runs, avg. 32.80, SR 134.65.
  • Rashid Khan was at his brilliant best in the last game (4/24). He takes less than one wicket per match on average vs CSK (SR 26.40), but he has good numbers against Moeen (3/43 in 32 balls).
  • Yash Dayal has taken nine wickets in his past five matches. His battle with Gaikwad will be key, given the CSK opener’s struggles against left-arm seam in the IPL (10 dismissals, avg. 16.7).
  • Mohammed Shami loves bowling at the Wankhede. He takes two wickets per match on average (16 in eight games, SR 12), and will be looking to improve on his record vs CSK: 10 inns, 7 wickets, avg. 41.71, SR 31.43.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Gujarat (170/7) pulled off a stunning run-chase against CSK earlier in IPL 2022.
  • Wriddhiman Saha has been dismissed just twice in the powerplay this season. He has scored 154 runs at an average of 77.00 and strike rate of 133.91 in this period.
  • Ambati Rayudu was CSK’s second-highest scorer against the Titans earlier this season (46 off 31 balls).
  • David Miller vs Dwayne Bravo in franchise T20 cricket: 54 balls faced, 82 runs scored, two dismissals.
  • MS Dhoni has scored 34 runs off 18 balls against Mohammed Shami without dismissal.

Wankhede Pitch Report and Weather

Dew won’t be an issue in this day game, but the players will have to contend with a very hot Mumbai afternoon. Rajasthan chased down Punjab’s 189 in the day game on this ground last week, and there have been three scores above 180 in the past five matches.

KKR vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 61

KKR vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 61 | KOL vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today | Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Key Players | Pune Pitch Report

Win and move to two points within Royal Challengers Bangalore. Lose and it’s just about season over.

That is the equation facing Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders today. Both teams have endured indifferent campaigns, with periods of good form outdone by prolonged runs of poor results. SRH have lost their past four after winning five in a row, while KKR got a much-needed victory over Mumbai Indians after losing six of their previous seven. It’s must-win territory.

SRH will be hoping both Washington Sundar and T Natarajan are fit. According to reports, they are set to play, and the men in orange need them badly as they have missed their respective influences. Also, more is needed from Kane Williamson, whose low strike rate has been the subject of attention at this year’s IPL.

For KKR, it’s about building on the big 52-run win over MI earlier this week. However, as Jasprit Bumrah’s 5/10 showed, their batting consistency is clearly an issue, but one positive they can draw from is that the Venkatesh Iyer-Ajinkya Rahane opening combination might be their best bet.

Possible Playing 11

Pat Cummins is out for the rest of IPL 2022 with a hip injury. KKR could replace him with Aaron Finch, but they might not want to disrupt the opening combination. So, Sam Billings is an option.

Also, Umesh Yadav is a chance of returning, but there is no official word yet.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Ajinkya Rahane, 2. Venkatesh Iyer, 3. Shreyas Iyer (c), 4. Nitish Rana, 5. Rinku Singh, 6. Sam Billings (wk), 7. Andre Russell, 8. Umesh Yadav/Shivam Mavi, 9. Sunil Narine, 10. Tim Southee, 11. Varun Chakravarthy

T Natarajan and Washington Sundar could return for SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Kane Williamson (c), 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Rahul Tripathi, 4. Aiden Markram, 5. Nicholas Pooran (wk), 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Washington Sundar/J Suchith, 8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9. Marco Jansen/Fazalhaq Farooqi/Romario Shepherd, 10. Umran Malik, 11. T Natarajan/Kartik Tyagi

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • The ever-present Andre Russell is almost a certainty for all fantasy teams. With Pat Cummins out and Umesh Yadav still in doubt, Russell is likely to do more bowling. He is KKR’s second-highest wicket-taker this season (14) with a strike rate of 9.0. Also, he has smashed 281 runs at a strike rate of 183.66, including a 25-ball 49* vs SRH.
  • Venkatesh Iyer stormed back into form last game with a 24-ball 43. If he puts SRH under pressure early, it will trigger recent memories of Kane Williamson’s team conceding three 190+ scores in their past four matches.
  • SRH is Shreyas Iyer’s second-most prolific opponent (406 runs). He averages 33.83 against them with a strike rate of 113.73, including a 25-ball 28 earlier this season. He has struck seven 20+ scores in 12 matches this season.
  • Nitish Rana struck 54 off 36 balls against SRH earlier in IPL 2022. He has a good overall record for KKR against SRH (10 inns, 340 runs, avg. 34.00, SR 134.39).
  • However, Rana doesn’t have the most favourable of matchups against SRH’s key bowlers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has dismissed him twice in 33 balls (39 runs), T Natarajan twice in 26 balls (40 runs) and Washington Sundar twice in 18 balls (22 runs).
  • Tim Southee has taken eight wickets in his last six matches against SRH at an average of 23.75. Also, he has been terrific this season, with 12 wickets in seven games at an average of 16.25 and an economy of 7.22. He will be key in exploiting SRH’s powerplay struggles.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

  • Rahul Tripathi was player of the match against KKR earlier this season. He belted 71 off 37 balls. He has a very favourable matchup against Sunil Narine, with 67 runs off 36 balls for no dismissal in the IPL.
  • Aiden Markram also starred against KKR this season. He belted a 36-ball 68*, part of 326 runs in nine innings at an average of 65.20 and a strike rate of 142.98 in IPL 2022. Also, he scored 57* off 41 at Pune earlier this season.
  • KKR are conceding 11.32 runs per over at the death in IPL 2022. So, Nicholas Pooran can pounce. The keeper-batsman has five not outs to his name in 10 innings, with a total of 261 runs at an average of 52.20 and strike rate of 147.45.
  • SRH will be hoping T Natarajan is fit and firing. He took 3/37 vs KKR earlier this season, part of 17 wickets in just nine matches in IPL 2022. Six have come in the powerplay and eight at the death (second-most).
  • Natarajan has dismissed Russell once in nine balls in the IPL, whilst only conceding 13.
  • Umran Malik is wicketless in his past three matches, but we saw how KKR struggled against the pace of Jasprit Bumrah a few nights ago. Malik took 2/27 against KKR earlier this season, which included the wicket of Shreyas Iyer.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar has enjoyed success against Ajinkya Rahane. He has dismissed him six times in 96 balls, whilst only conceding 89. He also has an excellent record against Shreyas Iyer: 44 runs, 49 balls, three dismissals.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 22, KKR 14, SRH 8.
  • SRH (176/3) beat KKR (175/8) with 15 balls to spare earlier in IPL 2022.
  • Rinku Singh has struck scores of 23*, 6, 42*, 23 and 35. Also, he has taken nine catches and inflicted one run-out.
  • Andre Russell has smashed 51 runs off 21 balls against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the IPL (one dismissal).
  • Russell has dismissed Nicholas Pooran five times in 75 balls in T20s (113 runs).
  • Kane Williamson has a strike rate of 96.13 in IPL 2022. This is the lowest for any batsman with at least 100 runs.
  • If Washington Sundar is unavailable, J Suchith remains a handy replacement. He is yet to go wicketless this season, with six wickets in four matches at a strike rate of 14.
  • Sunil Narine has taken just 10 wickets in 19 matches vs SRH (avg. 47.50).

Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium Pune Pitch Report and Weather

Nine of the 12 matches on this ground have been won by the team batting first, including the past six. The average first innings score in the past six matches is 165.33, with the teams batting second faltering badly in the past two games (101 by KKR vs LSG and 82 by LSG vs GT).

The surface has showed signs of being two-paced. So, the captain who wins the toss might be tempted to bat first and try get 160+ on the board despite the likely presence of dew.

RCB vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 60

RCB vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 60 | BLR vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Today | Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Punjab Kings Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

Match 60 is absolutely crucial. A win for either team will significantly boost their playoff hopes, while the other will have to sit, wait and hope other results go their way (IPL 2022 scenarios here).

Punjab Kings are yet to win consecutive matches, following a win-loss pattern right throughout IPL 2022. The good news, perhaps, is that they lost their previous match, so they are due a win if history is to repeat itself. However, the pressure is well and truly on Mayank Agarwal’s men, who must win this match to stand a realistic chance of qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade.

It is the kind of pressure that Royal Challengers Bangalore have faltered under in the past. However, they have the experience of playoffs’ qualification in 2020 and 2021, so they will be hoping that holds them in good stead. Unlike PBKS, RCB are coming off a crucial victory that snapped a three-match losing streak, swatting aside SRH over the weekend to keep their destiny in their own hands.

These two teams met way back in the third game of the season. Faf du Plessis struck 88, but it was Odean Smith who stole the show. With players in either side in a great form – notably Liam Livingstone and Wanindu Hasaranga – this has the makings of another cracking contest.

Possible Playing 11

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1. Virat Kohli, 2. Faf du Plessis (c), 3. Rajat Patidar, 4. Glenn Maxwell, 5. Shahbaz Ahmed, 6. Mahipal Lomror, 7. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 8. Wanindu Hasaranga, 9. Harshal Patel, 10. Josh Hazlewood, 11. Mohammed Siraj

Punjab Kings: 1. Jonny Bairstow, 2. Shikhar Dhawan, 3. Bhanuka Rajapaksa, 4. Mayank Agarwal (c), 5. Liam Livingstone, 6. Jitesh Sharma (wk), 7. Rishi Dhawan, 8. Kagiso Rabada, 9. Rahul Chahar, 10. Arshdeep Singh, 11. Sandeep Sharma

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

  • Faf du Plessis loves playing the Punjab Kings. In his last 10 matches against them, he has struck nine 30+ scores and a total of 621 runs at an average of 77.63 and strike rate of 143.09.
  • Rajat Patidar has been the standout player in RCB’s top four in recent matches. The right-hander has scored 52, 21 and 48 in his last three outings. According to ESPNCricinfo, Patidar has batting impact score of 39.75, which is the best for RCB this season.
  • Glenn Maxwell is threatening to break loose. He has struck six double-figure scores in his past eight knocks, but has only crossed 35 once. He has made scores of 12 and 33 at Brabourne this season.
  • Dinesh Karthik has the best strike rate of any player with at least 150 runs this season. His 274 runs come at an incredible strike rate of 200, which includes a 14-ball 32 against PBKS earlier in IPL 2022.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga is coming off a magnificent 5/18 against SRH. Three of his wickets came in the middle overs, where he will be key today against PBKS’ hard-hitting lineup.
  • Josh Hazlewood continues to go from strength-to-strength. He has taken 13 wickets in eight games at an economy of 6.81, including four wickets at an economy of 5.58 in the powerplay and five wickets at an economy of 4.75 in the middle overs (7-16).
  • Since the beginning of 2021, Hazlewood has taken 55 wickets in 35 T20s at an average of 17.13 and economy rate of 7.13.

Punjab Kings:

  • Shikhar Dhawan (381 runs in IPL 2022 – sixth-most) has struck scores of 50, 32, 54, 6, 43 and 43 in his last six innings against RCB. He has five 30+ scores in five innings at Brabourne (total of 274 runs, avg. 30.44, SR 131.10).
  • Jonny Bairstow found some form last game against RR (56 off 40 balls). He has scored 187 runs at a strike rate of 166.96 in his three matches against RCB.
  • Liam Livingstone has struck two 50+ scores at Brabourne this season. With Wanindu Hasaranga and RCB finding success in the middle overs, it will be on Livingstone to help PBKS keep the momentum going.
  • Livingstone is PBKS’ second-highest run-scorer this season: 315 in 11 games at a strike rate of 184.21.
  • Kagiso Rabada will be key in the powerplay – a period where RCB have struggled in at times in IPL 2022. The Protea has taken eight wickets in 10 matches in the first six overs this season. Also, he has a very impressive 13 wickets in six matches vs RCB.
  • Rabada has got the better of Virat Kohli in T20s: 33 balls bowled, 37 runs conceded, three dismissals. Also, Rabada will be key against Dinesh Karthik, whom he has dismissed three times in 19 balls in the IPL (14 runs).
  • Rahul Chahar has gone wicketless in three of his past four matches. However, he has performed well at Brabourne, with figures of 3/24, 1/41 and 1/21.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 29, RCB 13, PBKS 16.
  • Sandeep Sharma has dismissed Virat Kohli seven times in 59 deliveries in the IPL.
  • Bhanuka Rajapaksa has struck five 20+ scores in seven matches this season at an overall strike rate of 166.11. He has scored 51 off 35 against Hasaranga in T20s (one dismissal).
  • Arshdeep Singh has been magnificent at the death. Also, he has conceded just five sixes in 38 overs, the least of any bowler who has bowled at least 35.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga has conceded just 23 runs off 27 balls vs Dhawan (one dismissal) and six runs off nine balls vs Bairstow (one dismissal).

Brabourne Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

This is the first match on this ground in a week. The last match between MI and GT saw some grip and turn, but this one could play differently as it will be a fresh surface. In fact, Brabourne is home to the highest run rate (9.17) this season.

Humidity levels will be around 70%, so there will be a chance of dew.

CSK vs MI Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 59

CSK vs MI Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 59 | CSK vs MI Dream11 Prediction Today | Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians Key Players | Wankhede Pitch Report

Only pride is on the line for the Mumbai Indians, but you know the Wankhede will still be rocking. Chennai Super Kings have a tiny ray of hope left, especially given Rajasthan’s loss to Delhi yesterday. So, the CSK fans will definitely be rocking.

No matter where these two old rivals are placed on the IPL 2022 table, the IPL El Classico is always a significant occasion. It was the case the last time these two teams met earlier this season, where MS Dhoni rescued CSK with some trademark finishing to send DY Patil and social media into raptures.

Now, with MI officially knocked out, all they can do is aim to take CSK with them. Given the rivalry between the teams, that is quite the motivation, and Jasprit Bumrah is coming off a magnificent 5/10 that he will want to build on. MS Dhoni’s team must win all their remaining three matches to stand a chance at a miracle qualification, and with the incredible form of Devon Conway and talent sprinkled throughout their team, anything is possible.

Possible Playing 11

A rib injury has ended Ravindra Jadeja’s IPL 2022 campaign. He sustained it two games ago against RCB.

Chennai Super Kings: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Devon Conway, 3. Moeen Ali, 4. Robin Uthappa, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. Ambati Rayudu, 7. MS Dhoni (c & wk), 8. Dwayne Bravo, 9. Simarjeet Singh, 10. Maheesh Theekshana, 11. Mukesh Choudhary

Suryakumar Yadav is also out of IPL 2022 due to a forearm injury sustained against Gujarat.

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma (c), 2. Ishan Kishan (wk), 3. Tilak Varma, 4. Tristan Stubbs/Ramandeep Singh, 5. Tim David, 6. Kieron Pollard, 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Hrithik Shokeen, 9. Kumar Kartikeya, 10. Jasprit Bumrah, 11. Basil Thampi/Riley Meredith

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Chennai Super Kings:

  • Devon Conway has belted three half-centuries in a row: 87 (49), 56 (37) and 85 (55). He has been particularly brutal on spinners, with 114 runs at a strike rate of 196.55 and just one dismissal.
  • Ruturaj Gaikwad has a score of 88 vs MI, but just four runs in his remaining three innings against them. He has struck some form in recent matches, with scores of 30, 99, 28 and 41 in his last four outings.
  • Moeen Ali took 3/13 in his last match vs DC, and he could be key today with left-handers Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma in MI’s top three. Also, Moeen smashed 58 off 36 against MI on this ground last season.
  • Ambati Rayudu could be the gamechanger in this match. He has scored 296 runs in 11 innings vs MI since the start of 2017 at an average of 37.00 and strike rate of 137.67. He is also one of three players to have 1,000+ runs at the Wankhede.
  • Dwayne Bravo has the most wickets in MI-CSK matches. The impressive Bravo has taken 32 wickets in 20 matches vs MI, including 2/36 earlier this season. Also, no bowler has taken more wickets at the death this season than the West Indian (11).
  • Also, CSK could look to use Bravo early. He has dismissed Rohit five times in 72 deliveries in the IPL for a total of 82 runs.
  • Mukesh Choudhary ripped MI apart earlier this season. The left-armer took 3/19, including the wickets of both openers Rohit and Ishan.

Mumbai Indians:

  • Ishan Kishan has found some form. The left-hander has struck 51 and 45 in his last two games. Also, he has scored 170 runs against CSK at an average of 34.00 and strike rate 126.87.
  • However, can Ishan turn around a poor record at the Wankhede? He has scored 242 runs in 13 innings on this ground at an average of 18.62 and strike rate of 138.29.
  • Tilak Varma missed out last game vs KKR (6), but that doesn’t take away from his brilliant season: 11 innings, 334 runs, avg. 37.11, SR 136.32. He is MI’s leading scorer in IPL 2022.
  • Kieron Pollard has struggled with the bat this season, but he could be key with the ball today. He has dismissed Conway thrice in 17 balls (17 runs), Uthappa thrice in 32 balls (42 runs) and Moeen twice in 25 balls (25 runs).
  • Daniel Sams will be key up-front. He dismissed Gaikwad first ball in their earlier meeting in IPL 2022. In fact, Gaikwad has been dismissed nine times by left-arm seam in just 127 deliveries in the IPL (avg. 18.3, SR 129.9).
  • Sams took 4/30 against CSK earlier this season. In addition to Gaikwad, he also dismissed Dube and Rayudu.
  • Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in his first 10 matches this season, and then took a brilliant 5/10 vs KKR. He will be aiming to improve on his record vs CSK, which reads: 13 inns, 11 wickets, avg. 36.64, econ. 7.95.
  • Bumrah has the third-most wickets at the Wankhede (39, SR 21.69). He has dismissed Uthappa twice in 40 deliveries for 54 runs, Rayudu twice in 38 deliveries for 54 runs and Dube twice in 17 deliveries for 10 runs.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 34, MI 20, CSK 15.
  • Rohit Sharma has the most runs for MI against CSK: 693 runs, avg. 30.13, SR 128.33. Also, he has the most runs of any player the Wankhede (1,990, avg. 35.54), with his last six scores reading: 39, 71, 55, 24, 28 and 47
  • Dwayne Bravo vs Kieron Pollard in T20s: 168 balls bowled, 265 runs scored, 10 dismissals.
  • Bravo has taken five wickets in two matches at Wankhede this season.
  • Maheesh Theekshana has taken six wickets in the powerplay this season, the most of any spinner.

Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

There have been three 190+ scores in the last four matches at the Wankhede. The team batting first and second have won two matches each in this time. In this game, chasing may be the way to go with some dew around.

RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 58

RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 58 | RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction Today | Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals Key Players | DY Patil Pitch Report

It has been an up and down season for Delhi Capitals. The last match against CSK was a significant down, so will today be an up? COVID-19 played a role once again for Rishabh Pant’s team this season, as a fresh positive case emerged in their camp before the 91-run drubbing at the hands of CSK. They must bounce back today as they need to win their remaining matches to stand a realistic chance of qualifying for the playoffs (IPL 2022 playoff qualification scenarios here).

In addition to the uncertainty off the field, there has been uncertainty on it. Just as they look to build some momentum, they suffer a defeat to halt whatever progress they make. They have had a win-loss pattern in their past eight games, and if that pattern continues here, they will pick up a crucial win.

There is also a big incentive for Rajasthan Royals. Lucknow’s heavy defeat yesterday means that Sanju Samson’s team can move into second place on net run rate today, which can be vital in their quest for a first title since 2008. However, they will have to overcome the absence of the brilliant Shimron Hetmyer, who is currently on paternity leave. Whoever comes in needs to make an impact in the middle – a period where the Royals fell away a little in their final-over victory against Punjab on Saturday.

Possible Playing 11

Shimron Hetmyer is unavailable due to the birth of his child. The Royals could bring in either Rassie van der Dussen or Jimmy Neesham in his place.

Rajasthan Royals: 1. Jos Buttler, 2. Yashasvi Jaiswal, 3. Sanju Samson (c & wk), 4. Devdutt Padikkal, 5. Rassie van der Dussen/Jimmy Neesham, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. R Ashwin, 8. Trent Boult, 9. Prasidh Krishna, 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. Kuldeep Sen

For the Capitals, Prithvi Shaw is still in doubt with a fever.

Delhi Capitals: 1. David Warner, 2. KS Bharat/Prithvi Shaw, 3. Mitchell Marsh, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Rovman Powell, 6. Ripal Patel/Lalit Yadav, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Kuldeep Yadav, 10. Anrich Nortje, 11. Khaleel Ahmed

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Rajasthan Royals:

  • Jos Buttler took DC apart earlier this season (116 off 65 balls). The Orange Cap holder (618 runs) also has a magnificent record at the DY Patil, with two half-centuries and a century in his three matches.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal made a successful return to the team last match. He top scored with a 41-ball 68.
  • Sanju Samson has the numbers against DC that are reflective of his career. He has struck 280 runs for the Royals against Delhi at an average of 28.00 and strike rate of 138.61. This does include a blistering 19-ball 46* earlier in IPL 2022, after the openers put on a massive stand of 155.
  • Samson has struck eight double-figure scores in a row in IPL 2022. However, he has crossed 50 just once in that time. Will today be the day?
  • Prasidh Krishna was a gamechanger against DC earlier this season (3/22). This included a wicket-maiden in the 19th over of a tight run chase. He dismissed Warner, Pant and Lalit Yadav that night.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is coming off a brilliant spell against PBKS (3/22). The Purple Cap holder (22 wickets) took 1/28 against DC in a 200 vs 200 match earlier in IPL 2022. He takes a wicket every 21 deliveries on average against Delhi.
  • Trent Boult has taken just two wickets in his past six matches. But, he does have some decent numbers against DC’s openers. He has dismissed Warner twice for 48 runs in 50 deliveries and Shaw thrice for 28 runs in 25 deliveries.

Delhi Capitals:

  • David Warner has struck six 20+ scores in his last seven innings against the Royals. One of the IPL’s best ever players is striking at 156.90 this season, and is one of the top-five run-scorers (375).
  • It has been a bit of a frustrating season for Mitchell Marsh. The all-rounder has looked good in most innings he has played, and has struck five double-figure scores in five matches. His top score is 37.
  • Similar applies to Rishabh Pant, who has made start after start in IPL 2022. He has struck 281 runs this season at an average of 31.22 and strike rate of 152.71 without a single 50+ score. This includes a 24-ball 44 vs RR earlier this season.
  • Pant has magnificent numbers against the Royals: 8 inns, 344 runs, avg. 57.33, SR 166.99.
  • Rovman Powell has smashed 138 runs off his last 81 deliveries, including a 15-ball 36* against RR. The Royals have the second-worst economy rate at the death this season (11.70), so Powell could be key.
  • RR were a little shaky in the middle overs against Punjab. This is where Khaleel Ahmed can make an impact. The left-armer has taken seven wickets in 54 deliveries between overs 7-15 in IPL 2022. This is part of 16 wickets in eight matches this season.
  • Shardul Thakur has dismissed Devdutt Padikkal thrice in 22 deliveries in T20s.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 25, RR 13, DC 12.
  • RR (222/2) beat DC (207/8) in a high-scoring thriller earlier in IPL 2022.
  • If Warner gets through the initial overs, watch out. He has excellent numbers against Chahal in T20s: 76 balls faced, 128 runs scored, one dismissal.
  • Since the start of IPL 2021, Jaiswal has struck 223 runs at an strike rate of 142.03 in the powerplay.
  • Jos Buttler struck 34 off 11 balls against Kuldeep Yadav earlier this season. Before that game, Kuldeep had figures of 2/36 in 35 balls vs Buttler in T20s.
  • Mitch Marsh has taken a wicket in his last two matches and has excellent batting numbers in T20s since the start of 2021: 44 inns, 1,280 runs, avg. 38.78, SR 138.22.

DY Patil Pitch Report and Weather

The pitches at the DY Patil have been a little two-paced in recent matches. The team batting first has won the past two matches, with CSK smashing 208/6 before KKR beat MI after scoring 165/9. KKR did look good for many more, but Bumrah had other ideas with 5/10.

Another warm evening is forecast, with some dew likely.

Australia Cricket Schedule 2022-23: Bumper Tours & World Cups

Cricket News: Australia Cricket Schedule 2022-23: Bumper Tours & World Cups | Australia men’s cricket team schedule 2022 and 2023

The Australia men’s cricket team has a bumper schedule over 2022-23, with huge tours, high-profile visits and two World Cups headlining the calendar.

Soon after the 2022 Indian Premier League concludes, Australia will tour Sri Lanka for three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests, of which they have named a 34-man squad. The last time Australia toured Sri Lanka, they were blanked 3-0 in the Tests, and will now want redemption especially after a morale-building 1-0 win in challenging conditions in Pakistan earlier this year.

Australia’s home season will kick off in August with three ODIs in Townsville against Zimbabwe. This series was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, New Zealand are set to visit for three ODIs all to be played in Cairns. This will be New Zealand’s first appearance in Australia since the Sydney ODI behind closed doors in March 2020.

It is believed Australia tour India for three T20Is in September, but that is yet to be confirmed. Australia will then play five T20Is at home against West Indies and England, before aiming to defend their T20 World Cup crown at home in October-November. Four days after the World Cup Final, Australia will begin their three-match ODI series vs England.

Australia Cricket Schedule 2022-23: Australia will aim to defend their T20 World Cup crown on home soil.

Then, it will be all about the Tests. West Indies will play two Test matches down under, followed by a highly-anticipated visit by South Africa for three matches and then a three-match ODI series. The Proteas have an excellent record in Australia, and will be aiming to continue that in 2022-23.

Following the conclusion of the home season, Australia will tour India for four Test matches in February-March 2023. Not since 2004 have the Aussies won a Test series in India, and they have only tasted success once in 14 matches on Indian soil since that historic series win.

In June-July 2023, Australia will attempt to retain the Ashes on enemy soil. Steve Smith and Pat Cummins led the way in England in 2019, as they retained the urn courtesy of a 2-2 series draw.

Following that, Pat Cummins’ team will tour South Africa in August 2023 for three Tests. This series was scheduled for March 2021, but Australia pulled out at the 11th hour due to COVID-19. However, the tour of South Africa might not be set in stone, as the 2023 ODI World Cup is also scheduled for August in India.

Australia men’s cricket schedule 2022-23

  • June-July 2022: Tour of Sri Lanka, three T20Is, three ODIs, two Tests
  • August-September 2022: Host Zimbabwe (three ODIs) and New Zealand (three ODIs)
  • September 2022: Tour of India, three T20Is (yet to be confirmed)
  • October 2022: Host West Indies (two T20Is) and England (three T20Is)
  • October-November 2022: T20 World Cup in Australia
  • November 2022: Host England (three ODIs)
  • December 2022-January 2023: Host West Indies (two Tests) and South Africa (three Tests)
  • January 2023: Host South Africa (three ODIs)
  • February-March 2023: Tour of India, four Tests
  • June-July 2023: Ashes tour of England, five Tests
  • August 2023: Tour of South Africa, three Tests (yet to be confirmed)

LSG vs GT Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 57

LSG vs GT Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 57 | LKN vs GT Dream11 Prediction Today | Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans Key Players | Pune Pitch Report

It’s the newbies that have set the benchmark in this year’s IPL. Lucknow Super Giants, now top of the table, meet their closest challengers, Gujarat Titans, in an important battle.

While both are set for a playoffs’ berth, it is a top two spot that will be on the minds of KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya. More often than not in the IPL, finishing in the top two can be the difference between winning the title and falling short, and both these two sides have it in them to go all the way.

LSG have been particularly impressive in recent times. They have won four straight matches, and look a very well-oiled machine. Even with KL Rahul not facing a ball, they smashed KKR over the weekend, with their finishing and bowling at a high standard. Another win here and they will have one foot in a coveted top two spot (IPL 2022 scenarios here).

For GT, they have lost two straight matches. This is the perfect opportunity to rectify that against the team they won their first match against back in the early stages of IPL 2022. The fact that their openers were both in the runs againt MI is cause for optimism, while they will be aiming to rediscover some of that bowling punch they had earlier in the season.

Possible Playing 11

Both teams look settled, which is a key part of their success this season.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1. Quinton de Kock (wk), 2. KL Rahul (c), 3. Deepak Hooda, 4. Krunal Pandya, 5. Ayush Badoni, 6. Marcus Stoinis, 7. Jason Holder, 8. Avesh Khan, 9. Mohsin Khan, 10. Dushmantha Chameera, 11. Ravi Bishnoi

Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill, 2. Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 3. B Sai Sudharsan, 4. Hardik Pandya (c), 5. David Miller, 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7. Rashid Khan, 8. Alzarri Joseph, 9. Lockie Ferguson, 10. Mohammed Shami, 11. Pradeep Sangwan

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Lucknow Super Giants:

  • KL Rahul will be raring to go after being run out without facing a ball vs KKR. He is the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2022 (451, avg. 50.11, SR 145.01), and has been the most consistent batsman over the past few years.
  • However, while Rahul has a half-century at Pune, he has scored just 20 runs in his remaining three knocks. He has the class to turn that around.
  • Quinton de Kock has struck scores of 46, 23 and 50 in his past three matches. He is now the sixth-highest run-scorer in IPL 2022, with 344 runs in 11 matches at an average of 31.27 and strike rate of 138.70.
  • Deepak Hooda has been solid for LSG this season. He struck a 41-ball 55 vs Gujarat earlier in IPL 2022 and has scores of 34 and 41 on this ground. Also, number three is his most prolific position in T20s: 26 matches, 783 runs, avg. 32.62, SR 148.57.
  • Jason Holder has taken at least one wicket in six of his nine matches this season. Out of his 12 wickets, six have come in the death overs. Given GT can be strong at this stage, Holder will be key.
  • As will Avesh Khan. The seamer is LSG’s leading wicket-taker this season, with 14 wickets in nine matches at an average of 19.00 and strike rate of 14.00. He took 3/19 vs KKR, and was adjudged player of the match.
  • Mohsin Khan has also been outstanding. The left-armer is considered to be one of India’s brightest seam options given his ability to move the ball around in the powerplay. He has taken nine wickets in five matches this season at an economy of 5.35.

Gujarat Titans:

  • Shubman Gill found some form last game with a 36-ball 52. It came in a run-chase, and it was no surprise as he is more prolific when batting second (avg. 38.1) compared to batting first (avg. 25.8).
  • Wriddhiman Saha has struck five 20+ scores in a row. Also, he has been excellent in the powerplay this season, with 149 runs at a strike rate of 143.26 and just one dismissal.
  • Hardik Pandya was looking good vs MI (24 off 14 balls) before getting run out. He remains GT’s highest run-scorer this season, with 333 runs in 10 games at an average of 41.62. Also, he has three 30+ scores in seven innings at Pune.
  • Mohammed Shami has been off colour in the last three matches, with combined figures of 2/124 in 12 overs. If there is a game to bounce back, this is it, as he got the better of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock earlier this season to finish with 3/25. In fact, he has figures of 3/42 in 26 deliveries vs de Kock in the IPL.
  • Also, Shami has taken three wickets in two matches on this ground at an economy rate of 6.25.
  • GT could look to use Rashid Khan in the powerplay. The leg-spinner has dismissed KL Rahul thrice in 30 deliveries in the IPL, whilst only conceding 18.

Other Stats and Facts

  • GT (161/5) chased LSG’s 158/6 with two balls to spare in their previous meeting.
  • Wriddhiman Saha has an average of 57.1 against pacers in IPL 2022.
  • Dushmantha Chameera dismissed Shubman Gill for a duck earlier this season.
  • Avesh Khan has dismissed Gill twice in 28 deliveries in T20s, and has only conceded 25.
  • Rahul Tewatia and David Miller struck a combined 70 runs off 45 deliveries against LSG earlier in IPL 2022. Tewatia’s 24-ball 40 helped get GT over the line.

Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium Pune Pitch Report and Weather

The team batting first has won the past five matches on this ground. This is an interesting fact for today’s match as LSG are the best defenders (six wins out of seven) and Gujarat are the best chasing team (five wins out of six).

The average first innings score in the past five matches at Pune is 169.6, including totals of 202, 173 and 176 in the past three games.

MI vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 56

MI vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 56 | MI vs KOL Dream11 Prediction Today | Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders Key Players | DY Patil Pitch Report

It’s now or never for Kolkata Knight Riders. After they began their IPL 2022 campaign with such promise, they have lost six of their past seven matches to sink to the brink of elimination.

Their batting has been particularly poor, with an over-reliance on Andre Russell. There has been no consistency from their opening combinations, while Shreyas Iyer has rarely made use of his starts. If they have dreams of a miracle qualification to the playoffs, they must fix this, and fast.

And it won’t be easy, despite playing last-placed Mumbai Indians. Rohit’s team has found a new lease of life, winning their past two games after losing all their previous eight. Tim David showed why he is the most expensive Australian at this season’s IPL, while there has been a little more offered by the bowlers.

Today, MI play their bogey team. Although they lost to KKR earlier this season, MI often dominate this fixture, and a win today will officially end KKR’s season. That in itself can serve as plenty of motivation.

Possible Playing 11

MI could look to stick with their winning combination.

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma (c), 2. Ishan Kishan (wk), 3. Suryakumar Yadav, 4. Tilak Varma, 5. Kieron Pollard, 6. Tim David, 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Murugan Ashwin, 9. Kumar Kartikeya, 10. Jasprit Bumrah, 11. Riley Meredith

Expect some changes for KKR as their season hangs by a thread. They simply must win this match and hope other results go their way (scenarios here).

Aaron Finch could make way for either a domestic or overseas option. Same with Baba Indrajith. Also, Pat Cummins, who tormented MI last time, could come in. Also, there is no official word on Umesh Yadav’s availability.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Aaron Finch/Ajinkya Rahane/Sam Billings, 2. Baba Indrajith/Venkatesh Iyer, 3. Shreyas Iyer (c), 4. Nitish Rana, 5. Rinku Singh, 6. Andre Russell, 7. Sunil Narine, 8. Anukul Roy, 9. Tim Southee, 10. Harshit Rana/Umesh Yadav, 11. Shivam Mavi/Pat Cummins

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Mumbai Indians:

  • Rohit Sharma found some form last game vs GT, with a 28-ball 43. The MI captain easily has the most runs in MI-KKR matches, with 902 at an average of 47.47 and strike rate of 130.72.
  • Suryakumar Yadav also has strong numbers vs KKR. MI’s second-highest run-scorer this season (303, avg. 43.28) has scored 337 runs in nine innings vs KKR at an average of 42.13 and strike rate of 145.26. This includes a 36-ball 52 earlier this season.
  • Tilak Varma struck a 27-ball 38* in the same game. The youngster is MI’s leading run-scorer this season: 328 runs, avg. 41.00, SR 136.66.
  • Tim David was player of the match last time out against GT. He struck a 21-ball 44*, and he will be key against a KKR side struggling at the death. He has scored 251 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 207.43 in the death overs in T20s in 2022.
  • Despite missing a few matches, Murugan Ashwin is MI’s leading wicket-taker (8). Also, KKR have lost 24 wickets to wrist-spin this season at an average of just 9.58, so Murugan will play a key role.
  • Will Daniel Sams have a better outing than he did against KKR earlier this season? Sams is MI’s second-highest wicket-taker this season (7). He will be key against Aaron Finch (if picked), given Finch’s struggle vs left-armers.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • Shreyas Iyer has crossed double figures in 10 of his 11 innings this season, with seven scores above 20. But, he has reached 50+ just twice. Will today be the day?
  • Andre Russell has been magnificent in IPL 2022. He has scored 272 runs in 11 games at a strike rate of 183.78, along with 12 wickets. 11 of those 12 wickets have come in the second-half of the innings.
  • Can Russell improve on his numbers vs MI? The all-rounder has scored just 194 runs in 11 innings at an average of 19.40 and strike rate of 146.97. His 11 wickets come at an economy rate of 9.31.
  • KKR could look to use Sunil Narine early to Rohit. The mystery spinner has dismissed the MI captain nine times in 170 deliveries in T20s, whilst only conceding 183. Also, Narine has 23 wickets in 19 matches vs MI at an average of 21.83 and economy of 6.68.
  • Pat Cummins to make a return? He smashed 56* off 15 vs MI earlier this season, including 35 runs off a single Sams over to win the match. He also took 2/49.
  • Tim Southee has dismissed Rohit four times in 14 deliveries at an economy rate of under seven per over.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 30, MI 22, KKR 8.
  • KKR have won the past two matches between the teams.
  • Murugan Ashwin has taken 23 of his 34 IPL wickets in the second innings.
  • Ishan Kishan has struck 26 (18) and 45 (29) in his past two knocks. He struggled against KKR earlier this season (14 off 21 balls).
  • Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed Andre Russell thrice in 49 balls, with a batting strike rate of just 134.69.
  • KKR must win their remaining three games to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs (IPL 2022 scenarios here).

DY Patil Pitch Report and Weather

It will be very humid, so dew is expected to play a role. The chasing team has won three of the past five matches on this ground, with the average first innings score 164 in these matches.

GT vs MI Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 51 | GT vs MI Dream11 Prediction Today | Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

If someone had told you at the start of the season that Gujarat Titans will be on top with eight wins from 10 matches and five-time champions Mumbai Indians bottom with one win after nine, you may have laughed in their face.

However, it’s now no joke. The Titans are all but set for a playoffs berth in their first season, and will now look towards a top two finish. For Mumbai, they are now officially out of the playoffs race, and can only play spoilsport for the other teams. Rohit’s men finally got on the board in their last match with a victory over the Royals, and will be aiming for more of the same here.

For Hardik Pandya’s team, it is about bouncing back after a disappointing display against Punjab Kings. The Titans skipper wanted to test his team by batting first, but the batting lineup didn’t respond and were caught well short. Against an MI attack that has largely struggled this season, here is a chance for the likes of Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya in particular to rediscover their mojo.

Possible Playing 11

Gujarat may look to go with the same team, unless Yash Dayal is fit.

Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill, 2. Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 3. Sai Sudharsan, 4. Hardik Pandya (c), 5. David Miller, 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7. Rashid Khan, 8. Alzarri Joseph, 9. Lockie Ferguson, 10. Mohammed Shami, 11. Pradeep Sangwan/Yash Dayal

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma (c), 2. Ishan Kishan (wk), 3. Suryakumar Yadav, 4. Tilak Varma, 5. Kieron Pollard, 6. Tim David, 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Kumar Kartikeya Singh, 9. Hrithik Shokeen, 10. Jasprit Bumrah, 11. Riley Meredith

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Gujarat Titans:

  • Hardik Pandya will come up against MI for the first time. It is the perfect opportunity to rediscover his form after scores of 10, 3 and 1 in his past three matches. He is still GT’s top run-scorer this season: 9 inns, 309 runs, avg. 44.14, SR 132.05.
  • Wriddhiman Saha has struck 112 runs in the powerplay in IPL 2022 at a strike rate of 138.27. He has only been dismissed once in this period. Also, Saha has strong numbers against MI: 13 inns, 350 runs, avg. 38.89, SR 127.74.
  • David Miller has struck 287 runs at an average of 57.40 and strike rate of 145.68 in IPL 2022. Rahul Tewatia has smashed 131 runs off 65 deliveries in the death overs this season. Given that MI are conceding 12 runs per over at the death (second-worst in the league), both Miller and Tewatia have an opportunity to pounce.
  • Rashid Khan takes a wicket every four overs on average vs MI. He has the wood over Rohit Sharma in the IPL, with two dismissals for just 19 in 16 deliveries. Also, he has conceded just 55 runs in 66 deliveries against Pollard in the IPL (one dismissal).
  • Mohammed Shami has dismissed Rohit twice in 40 deliveries, whilst conceding just 46. He has also dismissed Suryakumar Yadav once in 14 balls (21 runs). Overall, he has taken 12 wickets in 10 matches vs MI at a strike rate of 18.50.

Mumbai Indians:

  • It has been a disappointing season for Ishan Kishan, but this could be his game as he has solid head-to-head numbers against GT’s key bowlers. He has scored 30 off 25 vs Shami (no dismissal) and 64 off 51 vs Rashid (no dismissal).
  • Tilak Varma has been a shining light for MI. He is their highest run-scorer with 307 runs in nine innings at an average of 43.85 and strike rate of 137.05. He has scored 36, 26, 51*, 38 and 35 in his past five knocks.
  • Suryakumar Yadav has also been strong. His 290 runs this season come at an average of 48.33 and strike rate of 147.20. GT has a pace-predominant attack, and Suryakumar has been magnificent vs pace this season: 163 runs, SR 171.57, one dismissal.
  • Jasprit Bumrah just has the five wickets this season, but he will be key against GT’s key players today. He has dismissed Shubman Gill once in 20 deliveries, whilst conceding just 24. Also, he has conceded just 37 off 44 balls against Saha (one dismissal).
  • Riley Meredith has taken five wickets in three matches this season, including four in his last two outings.
  • If the pitch assists spinners, watch out for Kumar Kartikeya Singh, who took 1/19 vs Royals with his wrist-spin variations. Also, off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen has been getting nice shape on the ball.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Rohit Sharma does have a century to his name on this ground. However, he has scored just 103 runs in his remaining six knocks at Brabourne.
  • Hardik vs Daniel Sams in T20s: 15 balls faced, 39 runs scored, zero dismissals.
  • Kieron Pollard vs Mohammed Shami in T20s: 33 balls faced, 50 runs scored, zero dismissals.
  • Lockie Ferguson has dismissed Ishan Kishan once in four deliveries in the IPL (two runs).
  • Rashid Khan has never dismissed Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL (32 off 28), but GT could look to use him against the MI batsman. Suryakumar has been dismissed by spin four times for a total of 127 runs and strike rate of 124.50.
  • Shubman Gill averages 25.8 batting first in the IPL compared to 37.5 batting second.

Brabourne Pitch Report and Weather

The Brabourne pitch can aid seamers in the powerplay and then spinners, with an average first innings score of 142.5 in the past four matches (before the DC-SRH match), which includes totals of 68 (by RCB vs SRH) and 115 (by Punjab against DC).

A humid evening is forecast, so chasing could be the way to go. A win for Gujarat will set them up for a top two finish (check out the scenarios here).

DC vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 50

DC vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 50 | DC vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today | Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

David Warner has surely been waiting for this one. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner’s former team whom he fell out with last season, will meet Delhi Capitals for the first time this season in a crucial match in the IPL 2022 playoffs race.

The Capitals have had their moments this season, but have been inconsistent. Injuries and COVID-19 have played a part, but with their full team pretty much on deck now, Rishabh Pant and his team must deliver if they intend to play in the playoffs. A win for DC today will put them just two points behind fourth-placed RCB with a game in hand and much superior net run rate.

Sunrisers, on the other hand, have been more consistent, but in bursts. They lost their first two, won their next five and have lost their next two again. A key part of the recent defeats has been conceding big totals, as Gujarat chased down 190+ and CSK struck over 200 against them. With DC a team capable of making a big score, SRH’s bowlers need to get back into the swing of things.

And, of course, there is the small issue of Kane Williamson’s sub-100 strike rate in IPL 2022. Can he fire, and will the others around him keep the pressure on DC’s up-and-down attack? Crucial game.

Possible Playing 11

Delhi Capitals: 1. David Warner, 2. Prithvi Shaw, 3. Mitchell Marsh, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Lalit Yadav, 6. Rovman Powell, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Kuldeep Yadav, 10. Mustafizur Rahman, 11. Chetan Sakariya

Washington Sundar split a webbing in his hand once again, but there has been no official word yet on his availability. Also, T Natarajan had a niggle against CSK, but he did come back to bowl his overs.

Also, the spotlight is on Kane Williamson’s strike rate. According to CricViz, his batting impact this season is -73 (details here).

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Kane Williamson (c), 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Rahul Tripathi, 4. Aiden Markram, 5. Nicholas Pooran (wk), 6 Shashank Singh, 7 Washington Sundar/J Suchith, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Marco Jansen, 10 Umran Malik, 11 T Natarajan/Kartik Tyagi

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Delhi Capitals:

  • What will David Warner produce? He has struck two half-centuries in four matches at Brabourne, and he will be keen for a third against his former team. In fact, he has struck scores of 60* (30) and 61 (45) at this venue in IPL 2022.
  • Warner is DC’s leading run-scorer this season. The left-hander has scored 264 runs in seven innings at an average of 44.00 and strike rate of 156.21.
  • Prithvi Shaw and Warner average 48 together this season at a run rate of 10.23. Shaw also has good numbers at Brabourne, with 130 runs in three innings at an average of 43.33 and strike rate of 178.08.
  • Mitchell Marsh looked in magnificent touch last game against Lucknow (37 off 19 balls) before walking despite not nicking the ball to the keeper. Since the start of 2021, Marsh has scored 1245 runs in 42 T20s at an average of 40.16 and a strike rate of 138.48.
  • Rishabh Pant has brilliant numbers against SRH. The DC skipper has smashed 466 runs in 14 innings at an average of 46.60 and strike rate of 147.94. He has struck 79 off 33 vs Bhuvneshwar (one dismissal) and 21 off 18 against Natarajan (no dismissal).
  • Axar Patel is striking at 166.66 with the bat this season. Against SRH, he has taken six wickets in eight matches at an average of 33.50 and economy rate of 7.18. He will also be key in the field.
  • Kuldeep Yadav as a fantasy cricket captaincy option? Kuldeep has been magnificent at Brabourne this season, with nine wickets at an average of 8.55 and economy of 6.41.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

  • Abhishek Sharma has been one of the surprise packets of IPL 2022. He has scored the fourth-most runs this season (324, SR 134.43) and can move to third above Shikhar Dhawan if he scores 46+ today.
  • Kane Williamson has been a shadow of his usual self this season. However, today could be the day he fires as he has magnificent numbers against the Capitals: 12 inns, 489 runs, avg. 61.13, SR 130.40.
  • Aiden Markram is Sunrisers’ second-highest run-scorer this season, with 263 runs in seven innings at an outstanding average/strike rate of 87.66/149.43. Nicholas Pooran has also been strong when he has got the opportunity (180 runs, avg. 60.00, SR 139.53), including 64* off 33 last game vs Capitals.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be key against DC’s opening pair. The seamer has dismissed Shaw twice in 35 deliveries (35 runs) and Warner once in 19 deliveries (13 runs). Also, Kumar has the third-most wickets at the death this season (7).
  • T Natarajan has the second-most wickets at the death in IPL 2022 (8). He is the fourth-highest wicket-taker this season, with 17 wickets in nine matches at an average of 17.82 and economy rate of 8.65.
  • Umran Malik went wicketless last game vs CSK, but that takes nothing away from the brilliant season he is having. He will be key as a middle overs enforcer against a DC team that can lose wickets at this stage. The speedster has 15 scalps to his name in IPL 2022, including 12 in four matches before his last game.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 20, DC 9, SRH 11.
  • Rahul Tripathi has a strike rate of 172 this season. This is the highest among any Sunrisers batsman with at least 180 runs. Also, he has scored 34 runs off 14 balls (one dismissal) against Kuldeep.
  • Shardul Thakur took all of DC’s wickets last game vs LSG. He has blown hot and cold this season, but he can deliver with both ball and bat, as knocks of 22 (11) and 29 (11) have shown.
  • Abhishek Sharma has the joint-most 30+ scores this season (6). Also, he has scored 120 runs at a strike rate of 169.01 with three dismissals against spin in IPL 2022.
  • Kuldeep Yadav has won player of the match in each of DC’s three matches at Brabourne this season.
  • Rovman Powell has smashed 104 runs off 52 balls in the last three matches.

Brabourne Pitch Report and Weather

DC have won three of their four matches on this ground. SRH have won both of theirs. The Brabourne pitch can aid seamers in the powerplay and then spinners, with an average first innings score of 142.5 in the past four matches, which includes totals of 68 (by RCB vs SRH) and 115 (by Punjab against DC).

A humid evening is forecast, so chasing could be the way to go. Delhi need to win this match to get right back into playoffs contention (check out the scenarios here).
