THU vs SCO Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – BBL 2025/26 16th Match

Sydney Thunder host Perth Scorchers in a match both teams need to win. They each have just one win, with the Thunder particularly disappointing in their last two defeats.

David Warner’s team have been thrashed by the Sydney Sixers (47 runs) and Melbourne Stars (nine wickets) in the last 10 days. The batting has only fired in their one victory (against Brisbane Heat), which was set up by a strong opening partnership. The Scorchers have had their bowling issues, so here is an opportunity for the hosts to perform.

Regarding the Scorchers, they too struggled to get going with the bat against Hobart Hurricanes on Boxing Day. Josh Inglis’ return is a welcome boost as more is required from their middle order. Also, the decision-making of skipper Ashton Turner is in the spotlight after opting to bowl Aaron Hardie at crucial moments against the Hurricanes last week.

BBL 2025/26 16th Match: THU vs SCO Possible Playing XIs

Shadab Khan has been selected in Pakistan’s T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka. That three-match contest kicks off on January 7, so Shadab is still available for the Thunder. He has been named in the squad.

Sydney Thunder: 1. Sam Konstas, 2. Matt Gilkes, 3. David Warner, 4. Cameron Bancroft, 5. Sam Billings (OS, wk), 6. Shadab Khan (OS), 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Chris Green, 9. Ryan Hadley/Nathan McAndrew, 10. Tanveer Sangha, 11. Reece Topley (OS)

Josh Inglis is in the Scorchers squad. He could slot in at four and replace Nick Hobson in the XI.

Offspinner Corey Rocchiccioli is a chance of playing given spin is often a factor at this venue.

Perth Scorchers: 1. Mitchell Marsh, 2. Finn Allen (OS), 3. Cooper Connolly, 4. Josh Inglis (wk), 5. Aaron Hardie, 6. Ashton Turner (c), 7. Laurie Evans (OS), 8. Ashton Agar, 9. Joel Paris, 10. Brody Couch/Corey Rocchiccioli, 11. Mahli Beardman

ENGIE Stadium Sydney Showground Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score in the last five BBL matches is 162. Teams batting first have won four of these games.

Sydney Sixers hit 198/5 against the Thunder on December 20. It was a truer pitch compared to previous seasons.

Since the start of 2023, pace bowlers have taken 74 wickets at Sydney Showground at an average of 23.76 and economy of 8.05. Spinners have picked up 38 wickets at an average of 23.34 and economy of 6.82.

A partly cloudy day is forecast with only a very small chance of afternoon showers.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for THU vs SCO 2025/26: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Finn Allen had a strike rate of 208.11 in two matches against the Thunder last season (77 runs). The Scorchers opener is in fine form so far this season: 3 inns, 138 runs, avg. 46.00, SR 200.
  • Matt Gilkes is strking at 183.33 for his 132 runs in BBL 2025/26. He has picked up 258 Dream11 points.

Key batter picks:

  • Between 2012 and 2021, Mitch Marsh struck 259 runs against the Thunder at an average of 64.75 and strike rate of 122.17. Is this the day he gets going in BBL 2025/26?
  • Sam Konstas showed promising form two games ago against the Brisbane Heat. The Thunder opener struck a half-century against the Scorchers last season.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Cooper Connolly will have a central role to play especially on this ground. He has 142 runs (SR 189.33) and three wickets so far this season.
  • Shadab Khan is one of four Thunder players with 100+ runs in BBL 2025/26. He is also their top wicket-taker with six at a strike rate of 15.

Key bowler picks:

  • Joel Paris will fancy his matchup against Matt Gilkes, who averages just 15 against left-arm seam in all T20s.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Sam Billings has a fine career record against the Scorchers: 10 inns, 327 runs, avg. 36.33, SR 150.69.
  • Ashton Agar has taken at least one wicket in five of his six matches at Sydney Showground Stadium (6 inns, 7 wickets, avg. 18.7, econ. 5.95).
  • David Warner is the Thunder’s most experienced batsman. But, he hasn’t fired yet and there are question marks on whether he should bat at three. In six BBL innings on this ground, Warner has scored 151 runs at an average of 37.8 and strike rate of 133.6.
  • Daniel Sams has a woeful record against the Scorchers, with just four wickets in 10 innings at an average of 70.00 and economy of 9.08.
  • Aaron Hardie is struggling with bat (45 runs, avg. 15) and ball (1 wicket, avg. 104) this season. He remains an attractive fantasy pick as he often bats in the top five and bowls 2-3 overs, but keep in mind his poor form.
  • Mahli Beardman was very impressive against the Hurricanes (1/25). He will be key against a very inconsistent Thunder batting lineup.
  • Chris Green against Perth Scorchers: 14 inns, 16 wickets, avg. 19.38, econ. 7.02.

BBL 2025/26 16th Match: THU vs SCO Match Prediction – Who will win?

Thunder beat Scorchers by 61 runs on a turning pitch in January. But, this surface is expected to be truer, so I back the Scorchers to win with their more powerful batting lineup.

Greg Chappell warns bleak future for Test cricket after MCG Ashes Test

Greg Chappell has sent a huge warning for Test cricket after the Boxing Day Ashes encounter ended inside two days. Chappell, one of Australia’s finest ever, was scathing of the batsmen rather than the pitch, criticising them for opting to hit out instead of fighting through the difficult periods,

In his piece for Sydney Morning Herald, Chappell compared the current group of players to those of yesteryear, including the Centenary Test in 1977 and Don Bradman’s magnificent 1936/37 side.

Greg Chappell does not miss in his assessment of Australia and England in 2025 Boxing Day Test

“Batters from both sides crumpled like autumn leaves in a gale. Wickets tumbled in clusters, scores hovered in the low hundreds, and the crowd, that vast sea of 90,000 souls at the MCG, was left cheated of the epic they deserved,” Chappell wrote.

“What shocked me most was not the conditions themselves, for cricket has always been a game at the mercy of the elements.

“No, it was the batters’ reactions: gestures of disbelief, muttered oaths, wry smiles as they trudged off, as if they alone had been cursed by a rogue delivery in the sport’s long history. They behaved like novices encountering adversity for the first time, oblivious to the blood, sweat, and sheer willpower that have sustained Test cricket through far worse trials.”

Chappell then questioned the desire of the Australian and English players in the 2025 Boxing Day Test that lasted 142 overs. While the MCG pitch was difficult for batting, the number of technical mistakes that were on show was remarkable.

“Two Tests in the series have failed to reach day three, not due to superior skill but a glaring absence of desire. Batters slashed wildly, abandoning technique for bravado, as if ‘playing their natural game’ excused capitulation,” Chappell wrote.

“They let down predecessors who bled for this rivalry; they shortchanged fans who braved the holiday heat; they betrayed their own generation by forsaking cricket’s core tenets – playing each ball on merit, scrapping for every run, enduring bruises for the greater good. I cannot believe any player left the field thinking they had given their all.”

Chappell critical of Matt Page being made to front the media

MCG curator Matt Page faced the media on what was meant to be the third day of the Test. He admitted the surface, which had 10mm of grass, was too favourable to the seam bowlers. However, Chappell was critical of Page being made to front the media instead of the focus being on the batsmen.

“I get that white-ball cricket has changed the game and power is valued more in the marketplace today than the ability to absorb pressure, but if the modern player does value Test cricket, as they say, then they must show it by being able to bat collectively for a minimum of 100 overs in any conditions. If they can’t, or won’t, do that, then the format is doomed,” Chappell wrote.

“They hurled [Matt] Page under the bus, blaming the pitch rather than their own frailties. Few put their body on the line, gesturing, laughing and cursing as they departed as if the surface was unplayable. Appalling.

“This is Test cricket, not a casual net. Get over yourselves and honour the format that has elevated you. Fight for your comrades, your colours. Absorb blows to extend the contest, ensuring spectators witness the drama they crave.”

England won the Boxing Day Test by four wickets, chasing down the 175-run target as the pitch continued to offer plenty of seam movement. It was their first win down under since 2011.

The action will move to Sydney for the New Years’ Test which begins on Sunday, January 4.

SEC vs PC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – SA20 2025/26 5th Match

Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) had a phenomenal start to their campaign in SA20 2025/26. They won their first game by a huge margin of 137 runs. Batting first, they scored 186/4 thanks to a collective batting effort. Jordan Hermann (64* runs), Quinton de Kock (42 runs), Jonny Bairstow, and Matthew Breetzke (31 runs each) helped their side post a good total.

The bowlers then took care of things as they bundled out the Paarl Royals for just 49 runs. Anrich Nortje (4 wickets) looked in excellent rhythm. Adam Milne (2 wickets) and Tharindu Rathnayake (2 wickets) also bowled well. The Sunrisers are looking very balanced with their batters and bowlers in good form, and they’ll look to carry forward the winning form in this match too.

The Pretoria Capitals, meanwhile, lost their first game against the Joburg Super Kings by 22 runs. At one point, they had JSK struggling at 138-6, but they leaked a few runs at the end that allowed JSK to reach 168. Tymal Mills, Codi Yusuf, and Bryce Parson picked up 2 wickets each.

Their batters failed to get going, restricted to 146 runs. Will Smeed (34 runs) and Bryce Parsons (41 runs) put up 71 runs for the first wicket, but things went off track after that. The Capitals will have to be on their toes against a confident Sunrisers side. They’ll get a big boost if Andre Russell and Sherfane Rutherford are available for this match.

St George’s Park. Gqeberha will host the 5th game of the SA20 2025-26 between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals. The match will start at 9:00 PM IST on 29th December 2025.

SA20 2025/26 5th Match: SEC vs PC Probable Playing XIs

Sunrisers Eastern Cape: 1. Quinton de Kock (wk), 2. Jonny Bairstow, 3. Matthew Breetzke, 4. Jordan Hermann, 5. Tristan Stubbs (c), 6. Marco Jansen, 7. Lewis Gregory, 8. Senuran Muthusamy, 9. Tharindu Rathnayake, 10. Adam Milne, 11. Anrich Nortje

Pretoria Capitals: 1. Will Smeed, 2. Bryce Parsons, 3. Shai Hope, 4. Dewald Brevis, 5. Connor Esterhuizen, 6. Sherfane Rutherford/Roston Chase, 7. Andre Russell/Daniel Smith, 8. Codi Yusuf, 9. Keshav Maharaj (c), 10. Tymal Mills, 11. Lungi Ngidi

St George’s Park Qbeberha Pitch Report and Weather

A balanced wicket is expected for this game. It will be good for batting, and the bowlers will also get some assistance. There will be help for the pacers with the new ball, and spinners will come into play as the game progresses. Batters can play their shots trusting the wicket. The average first-innings score here in the last edition was 158 runs. Teams batting first won 9 of the 15 games played here last season.

A clear day is expected for this match with no chance of rain. Humidity will be around 70-80% at the start of the game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for SEC vs PC: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Quinton de Kock (42 runs) continued his good form from the recent India tour. He played his shots and took on the bowlers from the first over itself. De Kock will be a must in your fantasy teams and a good C/VC option too. However, his record at the venue is very poor – 27 runs in 3 innings at an average of 9.
  • Jonny Bairstow scored 31 runs, but it was a scratchy knock, as it took 33 deliveries. Bairstow is one of the most aggressive batters when he’s on song and will be a good fantasy pick.
  • Shai Hope will bat at 3 for the Capitals. He scored only 2 runs in the first game, but he’s a class batter and has been in good form too. Try him as C/VC in one of your teams.
  • Tristan Stubbs batted too low in the last game, but he’s expected to bat at 4 or 5 in this match. He can score runs freely in the middle and death overs and can be the game changer for his side on his day.
  • He’s the second-highest run-scorer at St. George’s Park in SA20: 294 runs in 12 innings at an average of 29.40, striking at 154.74, including a fifty.

Key batter picks:

  • Dewald Brevis was dismissed cheaply in the first game, but he’s the main batter for his side in the middle order. He thrashes spin and can change the course of the game in just a few overs.
  • Brevis at St. George’s Park in SA20: 142 runs in 4 innings at an average of 47.33. Strike rate 133.96, including a fifty.
  • Will Smeed took on the bowlers from the word go in the last match. He likes to put pressure on the bowlers and looked in good touch as well. Smeed will have to be cautious against Sunrisers’ bowling with the new ball, but he can score big and will be a good fantasy pick.
  • Jordan Hermann continued his good form from the last season. He played a sublime knock of 64* in just 28 deliveries. He can be promoted up the order too. A must in your fantasy teams.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Marco Jansen was promoted at 3 in the last game after a good start. He scored 8 runs and picked up a wicket. Jansen is the highest wicket-taker at the venue: 21 wickets in 13 games at an economy of 6.73 and a strike rate of 12.86. He will be the best C/VC choice.

Key bowler picks:

  • Anrich Nortje was at his best in the last game. He was bowling at a good pace and was hitting the bat hard. Nortje will bowl the crucial overs for his side.
  • Tymal Mills bowled with the new ball and then towards the end of the innings for Pretoria. He can swing the new ball, has good pace and a great slower delivery as well. Try him as C/VC while bowling first.
  • Adam Milne (2 wickets) also looked in great rhythm. He can swing the new ball both ways and hits the deck hard. He has good variations too in his arsenal. Another top fantasy pick.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • Bryce Parsons picked up 2 wickets and then scored 41 runs in the last game. He is expected to bowl a few overs in this match too. He looked in good touch and, considering all-round value, will be a good fantasy pick.

Alternative picks you can consider:

  • Tharindu Rahtnayake
  • Codi Yusuf (bowl first)
  • Lungi Ngidi (bowl first)
  • Keshav Maharaj

Other Matchups and Facts

  • Head to Head: Pretoria Capitals 4 – Sunrisers Eastern Cape 3
  • Jordan Hermann vs Keshav Maharaj (T20s): 35 balls, 35 runs, and 4 dismissals.
  • Dewald Brevis vs Marco Jansen (T20s): 36 deliveries, 37 runs, and 3 dismissals
  • Dewald Brevis vs Anrich Nortje (T20s): 22 deliveries, 18 runs and 2 dismissals.

SA20 2025/26 5th Match: SEC vs PC Match Prediction: Who will win?

Sunrisers Eastern Cape has a strong bowling attack and good batting depth. They’ll be the confident side coming to this match. Pretoria, on the other hand, will have to be at their best, especially with the bat given the absence of Andre Russell and Sherfane Rutherford, if they are to win this game.

Considering team balance and squad depth, Sunrisers Eastern Cape should win this game.

HUR vs REN Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – BBL 2025/26 15th Match

Melbourne Renegades are finally back in action after an eight-day break. They have played just two games so far, and their match against Hobart Hurricanes today will mark the first of three encounters they will play between now and January 4.

The Hurricanes smashed the Renegades eight days ago, so here is an opportunity for Will Sutherland’s team to extract revenge. They couldn’t get going with the bat on that occasion, with Chris Jordan’s 4/19 playing a central role in limiting the Renegades to 145/9.

The Hurricanes will be looking to build on their solid start to the season, which includes a win in Perth on Boxing Day. However, they will be without Tim David who is out with a hamstring injury. So, the onus will be on their top order and bowling attack to deliver the goods.

BBL 2025/26 15th Match: HUR vs REN Possible Playing XIs

Beau Webster is available for this match after he was released from Australia’s Ashes squad. He could be the straight replacement for David.

Hobart Hurricanes: 1. Mitch Owen, 2. Tim Ward, 3. Nikhil Chaudhary, 4. Ben McDermott, 5. Beau Webster, 6. Mac Wright/Matthew Wade, 7. Chris Jordan (OS), 8. Rehan Ahmed (OS), 9. Nathan Ellis (c), 10. Rishad Hossain, 11. Riley Meredith

Caleb Jewell returns to the Renegades’ squad in place of Fergus O’Neill. Jewell could feature in the XI given his experience at Bellerive Oval.

Melbourne Renegades: 1. Josh Brown/Caleb Jewell, 2. Tim Seifert (OS), 3. Muhammad Rizwan (wk, OS), 4. Jake Fraser-McGurk, 5. Oliver Peake, 6. Hassan Khan (OS), 7. Will Sutherland (c), 8. Gurinder Sandhu, 9. AJ Tye/Sam Ellott, 10. Adam Zampa, 11. Jason Behrendhorff

Bellerive Oval Hobart Pitch Report and Weather

In last season’s BBL, the average first innings score was 167.86. Chasing teams won five of the seven matches, scoring at 8.78 per over compared to the 8.39 by teams batting first. Earlier this season, Hurricanes chased the Thunder’s 180 with four wickets and one ball to spare.

In the 2023/24 and 2024/25 BBL seasons, pace bowlers took 113 wickets at Hobart at an average of 26.77 and economy of 8.58. Spinners picked up 46 wickets at an average of 34.89 and economy of 8.04.

A mostly sunny and cool day is forecast with no rain expected. Temperatures will drop to about 15 degrees during the game. Expect the team who wins the toss to bowl first with the possibility of dew.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for HUR vs REN 2025/26: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Tim Seifert has enjoyed a strong start to the BBL season. The Kiwi has scored 136 runs at a strike rate of 176.62, including a century.
  • Ben McDermott has an outstanding record against the Renegades. He’s scored 648 runs at an average of 72 and strike rate of 152.5. He struck 49* off 33 balls eight days ago.

Key batter picks:

  • Nikhil Chaudhary bats in the top three and will go hard at the Renegades attack. He smashed 79 off 38 balls against them in their earlier meeting this season.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Chris Jordan won man of the match against the Renegades earlier this season. He took 4/19. He picks up plenty of fantasy points in the field as well, with 374 Dream11 points so far this season.
  • With the ball, Will Sutherland averages 45.6 with a strike rate of 31 against the Hurricanes. Can he improve on these numbers? Given his all-round value, he remains a strong pick in fantasy cricket.
  • Mitchell Owen has had a poor start to the season and averages 11.3 in three matches against the Renegades. But, this is the game he can deliver in as he loves batting at Bellerive Oval in the BBL: 9 inns, 384 runs, avg. 48, SR 202.1

Key bowler picks:

  • Rishad Hossain has taken six wickets in four matches to be the Hurricanes’ leading wicket-taker this season. He can be a threat against the Renegades’ inconsistent batting.
  • Riley Meredith has taken 22 wickets in 14 innings against the Renegades. He has dismissed Josh Brown three times for 16 runs in 26 balls.
  • Jason Behrendhorff dismissed Mitch Owen first ball in their last meeting. Overall, the left-armer has 18 wickets in 15 matches against the Hurricanes (avg. 20.8, SR 17.3).

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Jake Fraser-McGurk can go big on his day, but he’s largely struggled for any consistency since the start of last season. He has scored just 69 runs in nine matches against the Hurricanes.
  • Oliver Peake can be an excellent differential pick as he provides value in the middle order. The youngster scored 57 (29) in the Renegades’ opening game of the BBL 2025/26 season.
  • Nathan Ellis bowls in the key overs, which brings wicket-taking opportunities. He has 14 wickets in 12 matches against the Renegades and 42 wickets in 31 BBL innings at Bellerive Oval (SR 16.9).
  • Muhammad Rizwan has struggled for rhythm so far in BBL 2025/26, but he has had a solid year in all T20s: 18 inns, 630 runs, avg. 48.5, SR 132.1.

Other Stats and Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: Matches 22, Renegades 9, Hurricanes 13.
  • Jake Fraser-McGurk has been dismissed ten times by legspin at an average of 20.5 in all T20s. This represents an opportunity for Rishad Hossain and Rehan Ahmed.
  • Adam Zampa at Bellerive Oval in the BBL: 8 inns, 5 wickets, avg. 49.2, SR 38.4.
  • Will Sutherland vs Ben McDermott: 25 balls, 43 runs, no wicket.
  • Jason Behrendhorff vs Ben McDermott: 35 balls, 31 runs, two wickets.
  • Jason Behrendhorff vs Beau Webster: 14 balls, 20 runs, two wickets.
  • Nathan Ellis vs Tim Seifert: 20 balls, 32 runs, no wicket.
  • Nathan Ellis vs Jake Fraser-McGurk in T20s: 11 balls, 11 runs, one wicket.

DSG vs MICT Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – SA20 2025/26 4th Match

Durban Super Giants (DSG) will take on the MI Cape Town (MICT) in a rematch of the first match of SA20 2025/26. Kingsmead, Durban will host this game on 28th December 2025 at 7 PM IST.

DSG won the first game (this season) between these two sides by 15 runs after a brilliant batting effort. Devon Conway (64 runs), Kane Williamson (40 runs), Aiden Markram (35 runs), and Evan Jones (33 runs) helped Durban score 232 runs batting first.

Their bowlers then held their nerve and restricted MICT to 217 runs. Eathan Bosch picked up four wickets, while Kwena Maphaka and Noor Ahmad also bowled well. The Super Giants will be eyeing a double on Cape Town by winning this match.

MICT, meanwhile, looked pretty comfortable while chasing a big total, but they lost track towards the end. Ryan Rickelton’s century (113 runs) went in vain. Jason Smith (41 runs) also contributed with the bat, but none of the other batters could get going for MI.

Bowling was a concern for MI, especially as Rashid Khan is not in the best of form. Apart from Trent Boult, all the bowlers had an economy of 11 or more. But there’s a lot of experience in the MI dugout, and they’ll be eager to settle the score in this match.

SA20 2025/26 4th Match: DSG vs MICT Probable Playing XIs

Durban Super Giants: 1. Devon Conway, 2. Aiden Markram (c), 3. Jos Buttler (wk), 4. Kane Williamson, 5. Heinrich Klaasen, 6. David Wiese, 7. Eathan Bosch, 8. Gerald Coetzee, 9. Simon Harmer, 10. Noor Ahmad, 11. Kwena Maphaka

MI Cape Town: 1. Reeza Hendricks, 2. Ryan Rickelton, 3. Rassie van der Dussen, 4. Jason Smith, 5. Nicholas Pooran (wk), 6. George Linde, 7. Corbin Bosch, 8. Dwaine Pretorius, 9. Rashid Khan (c), 10. Tristan Luus, 11. Trent Boult

Kingsmead Durban Pitch Report and Weather

A good batting track will await both sides for this game. The ball will come onto the bat nicely, allowing the batters to play their shots. The pacers will get some assistance with the new ball for the first few overs, and the spinners have done well at this venue in the last five years (economy 7.60). Expect the teams to prefer chasing.

There is a chance of rain in the evening. The temperature will hover around 19-21 degrees Celsius during the game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for DSG vs MICT 2025/26: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Jos Buttler scored 20 runs in the first game, and looked in good touch. He will be a top fantasy pick, as we all know what he can do on his day.
  • Buttler will be a key batter for DSG. In T20s this year, he has scored 1025 runs in 28 innings at an average of 46.60, striking at 153.70 with 10 fifties.
  • Heinrich Klaasen (22 runs) also looked in decent touch in the first game. He will bat at 4 or 5 depending on his entry point. Klaasen is the highest run-scorer at Durban in the SA20 league (396 runs at an average of 33 and strike rate of 174.45).
  • Ryan Rickelton was fabulous in the first game, and he loves playing at Durban (105 runs in 2 innings, average 55, strike rate 175 with one fifty). He will be a must in your fantasy teams and a top C/VC pick.
  • Devon Conway looked in sublime touch for his 64 runs in the last game. He took on the bowlers and got his side off to a great start. Conway is another great fantasy pick for this match.

Key batter picks:

  • Rassie van der Dussen got out cheaply in the last game, but he will open the innings and can exploit the field restrictions. He will be a good fantasy pick for this match.
  • Kane Williamson will open the innings, and it increases his fantasy value. He looked to play attacking cricket and can score big once he gets his eye in. Williamson scored 40 runs in the last game and will again fancy his chances against MI’s bowling attack.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Aiden Markram is batting at 4 or 5 in this batting unit, but he’s bowling 2-3 overs, which makes him an ideal fantasy pick. Markram scored a quickfire 35 and helped his side post a big total. He bowled two overs as well.
  • Corbin Bosch picked up one wicket, and he will contribute with the bat too. He’ll bowl the key overs for MI and has been in good form lately.

Key bowler picks:

  • Noor Ahmad has the most wickets at Durban in SA20, with 14 wickets in eight games at a strike rate of 12.57 and an economy of 6.75. He is a genuine wicket-taker and will be a must in your fantasy teams.
  • Rashid Khan has been off-color for some time now, but he’s a quality player and can win games on his own when on song. He will be a good fantasy pick.
  • Eathan Bosch bowled well in the last game. He will bowl in the powerplay and then towards the end of the innings. A top fantasy pick, especially while bowling second.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • David Wiese will bowl the key overs for Durban, and he can tonk the ball on his day. Wiese was in good form in the Abu Dhabi T10 league and will be a top differential choice.

Alternative picks you can consider:

  • Dwaine Pretorius
  • Evan Jones
  • Kwena Maphaka

Head-to-head

  • Durban Super Giants registered their 5th win against MI Cape Town in their 7th meeting in the SA20. They’ve had the upper hand over the defending champions.

SA20 2025/26 4th Match: DSG vs MICT Match Prediction: Who will win?

MI Cape Town’s bowling will be an issue for them. If Trent Boult and George Linde had an off day, then it’ll be difficult for them, as Rashid Khan is going through a lean patch, while Corbin Bosch and others were very expensive.

DSG, too, needs to be disciplined with the ball, as they nearly lost the game even after scoring 232 runs. But overall, the Durban Super Giants will start as the favorites to win the game.

STA vs THU Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – BBL 2025/26 14th Match

Is this the year of the Melbourne Stars? It’s still early days, but the Stars have looked fantastic so far in this edition of the BBL, winning their first three matches so far.

The form of Sam Harper has been a huge breath of fresh air. The keeper-batsman is producing the type of performances many believed he can produce. He comes into this match on the back of a dominant century at the SCG on Boxing Day, backing up another excellent bowling performance by his teammates, including 41-year-old Peter Siddle.

So, this shapes up as a tough test for the Sydney Thunder. David Warner’s team got off the mark in their last outing against the Brisbane Heat on this ground, but they’ll need a big performance here to knock off an in-form side. Sam Konstas and Matt Gilkes’ strong opening partnership set the platform, and the Thunder will be hoping for something similar today.

BBL 2025/26 14th Match: STA vs THU Possible Playing XIs

Melbourne Stars have added batsman Tom Rogers to their squad. However, they could stick with an unchanged XI from the victory over the Sixers on Boxing Day, unless they opt to drop Joe Clarke or Jonathan Merlo.

Melbourne Stars: 1. Joe Clarke (OS), 2. Sam Harper (wk), 3. Campbell Kellaway, 4. Marcus Stoinis (c), 5. Glenn Maxwell, 6. Tom Rogers/Jonathan Merlo, 7. Hilton Cartwright, 8. Tom Curran (OS), 9. Mitchell Swepson, 10. Haris Rauf (OS), 11. Peter Siddle

Sydney Thunder have named an unchanged squad. They could go with an unchanged XI as well.

Sydney Thunder: 1. Sam Konstas, 2. Matt Gilkes (wk), 3. David Warner (c), 4. Cameron Bancroft, 5. Sam Billings (OS, wk), 6. Shadab Khan (OS), 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Chris Green, 9. Nathan McAndrew, 10. Tanveer Sangha, 11. Reece Topley (OS)

Manuka Oval Canberra Pitch Report and Weather

Chasing teams have won four of the past six BBL matches at Manuka Oval. The average first innings score in these games is 165.

Sydney Thunder smashed 193/4 last week against the Brisbane Heat, but off-pace deliveries into the surface worked quite well. The likes of Marcus Stoinis usually employ these tactics.

Since the start of 2023, pace bowlers have taken 35 wickets in the BBL at an average of 30.94 and economy of 8.50. Spinners have fared better, taking 42 wickets at an average of 18.79 and economy of 7.54.

A clear and pleasant evening is forecast with a top of 24 degrees. There is a chance of dew in the second innings, so chasing may be preferred.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for STA vs THU 2025/26: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Sam Harper is in the form of his life. The right-hander has smashed 165 runs so far this season at a strike rate of 171.87.
  • Matt Gilkes showed promising signs in his first two matches this season, and he then followed it up with 76 (48) against the Brisbane Heat on this ground. Today will be a good test.

Key batter picks:

  • Sam Konstas has two fifties in two BBL matches on this ground (56 and 63). Can he get through the powerplay against an in-form Stars attack?
  • Campbell Kellaway bats in the top order. As a result, he is a safer pick than some of his Stars teammates. The left-hander is in decent form this season: 3 inns, 83 runs, avg. 41.50, SR 122.05.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Shadab Khan took 4/24 on this ground earlier this week. The legspinner has started well in this season’s BBL, taking six wickets and making scores of 34 and 41 so far.
  • Marcus Stoinis has amassed 381 Dream11 points so far in BBL 2025/26. The Stars captain has scored 457 runs against the Thunder (28.56, SR 125.55) and has six wickets.
  • Tom Curran has taken two three-wicket hauls in a row. This includes three wickets in the powerplay. Expect him to test the Thunder top order.

Key bowler picks:

  • Peter Siddle has taken seven wickets at an average of 10.85 and economy of 6.33 so far this season. Overall in his career, Siddle has 22 wickets in 15 innings against the Thunder.
  • Haris Rauf has picked up nine wickets in four matches against the Thunder at an average of 9.33 and economy of 5.60.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Sam Billings enjoys batting at Manuka Oval, with 365 runs at an average of 40.6 and strike rate of 149.6.
  • Glenn Maxwell’s has had a limited batting role so far in this tournament. He’s a more assured fantasy pick if the Stars bat first, but he also offers value with the ball and in the field.
  • Daniel Sams has 311 runs (avg. 28.3, SR 169.9) and 25 wickets (avg. 22.2, SR 16.5) in T20s at Manuka Oval. He also has 19 wickets in 13 innings against the Stars.
  • David Warner is one of the experienced batters to watch out for, but his position in the Thunder lineup is quite fluid. Expect him to bat at three if an early wicket falls.
  • Tanveer Sangha at Manuka Oval: 14 inns, 19 wickets, avg. 18.5, SR 15.6. He has a very good record against Glenn Maxwell (4/66 off 49 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (1/18 off 19 balls).

Other Stats and Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: Matches 22, Stars 10, Thunder 12.

Fans, pundits fuming as MCG Boxing Day Test ends in two days

England have finally broken their drought down under, winning their first Test in Australia since 2011 courtesy of a four-wicket win inside two days at the MCG. 36 wickets fell on two days in one of the craziest Tests on Australian soil, and this result will hit Cricket Australia’s pockets hard with up to US$10m in lost revenue expected.

Truth be told, it was a combination of very poor batting and a surprisingly spicy pitch that had fans frustrated. Australia’s batting on day two, with the opportunity to build a strong lead, left so much to be desired, with a host of poor dismissals. On a surface offering plenty of seam movement, Australia’s batters, like England yesterday, seemed to panic with a lack of trust in their defence.

At times, the action resembled a park cricket match as most players sought to hit out rather than fight through the difficult periods. This was particularly disappointing for Australia as England were a bowler down with Gus Atkinson going off with a hamstring injury. Brydon Carse (4/34), Ben Stokes (3/24) and man of the match Josh Tongue (2/44) all stepped up in his absense.

“They’ve only got themselves to blame with their batting today. Yes, it was difficult, but some of the dismissals we saw weren’t good enough for Test match cricket,” Ricky Ponting said on Channel 7, as quoted by Fox Sports.

Chasing 175, England chose to throw defence out the window and chance their hand. Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley combined for a crucial 51-run stand against some ill-disciplined Australian bowling, with Duckett in particular playing a host of audacious shots. Then, in another moment that would have sent shivers down the spine of all cricket purists, Brydon Carse was sent in at three to strike a few lusty blows.

Crawley then combined with Jacob Bethell (40) for a crucial 47-run stand. Joe Root (15) and Harry Brook (18*) ensured there was no back-to-back wickets as England reached the target with four wickets and more than three days to spare.

“Not Test cricket” – Fans fume at the state of play as MCG Boxing Day Test ends in two days

This is the second Test to end inside two days in this Ashes after Perth. However, the Perth Stadium track received the best possible rating as seam movement wasn’t as pronounced.

It will be a surprise if the MCG pitch doesn’t come under scrutiny from the ICC. The curators decided to leave 10mm of grass on the surface, and it resulted in one of the toughest batting pitches on Australian soil in the last 20 years. Given the 2023 and 2024 Tests against Pakistan and India were cracking matches played on balanced surfaces, it will be fascinating to hear the reasons as to why this MCG track needed to be different.

“Grass was left on this pitch because of the weather forecast for days three, four and five,” Kerry O’Keeffe said on Fox Cricket commentary. “And we haven’t even got there.”

CricViz’s overall PitchViz rating for this Test is 8.9 out of 10. This high score indicates tougher batting conditions. This is the highest for any Test in Australia since 2006, as reported by CODE Sports.

Fans and pundits expressed their disappointment on social media. Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen labelled the Test as an “utter shambles and complete disrespect to the greatest form of the game.”

Brydon Coverdale, former ESPNcricinfo writer and current chaser on The Chase Australia, said Test cricket is the loser in this situation.

Captains Ben Stokes and Steve Smith critical of MCG pitch

England captain Ben Stokes was critical of the pitch despite his team’s drought-breaking win.

“When you go out there and you’re faced with those conditions, you’ve got to crack on and deal with it. But being brutally honest, that’s not really what you want,” Stokes said.

“You know, Boxing Day Test match, you don’t want a game finishing in less than two days. It’s not ideal, but you can’t change it once you start the game and you’ve just got to play what’s in front of you.”

Australia captain Steve Smith echoed Stokes’ thoughts. “It was tricky. No one could really get in. I think when you see 36 wickets across two days, that’s probably too much,” he said.

“It probably did a little bit more than they wanted it to. Maybe if we dropped it down to eight millimetres [of grass], it would be about right.”

The fifth and final Test of the Ashes will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, starting January 4, 2026.

PR vs SEC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – SA20 2025/26 3rd Match

Paarl Royals (PR) will challenge the Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) in the 3rd match of SA20 2025/26. The match will be played at Boland Park, Paarl, at 9:30 PM IST.

Paarl Royals did well in the last edition of the tournament, winning seven of their 10 league stage games, but they failed to make it to the final. Their main strength is their spin attack on the low and slow track at their home venue, and they’ll look to exploit that in this match too.

They have a very strong spin attack, but their batting depth might be an issue. The likes of David Miller, Sikandar Raza, Dan Lawrence, and Delano Potgieter have a task on their hands in the middle and lower order for the Royals. Lhuan-Dre Pretorius and Rubin Hermann are two young explosive openers they will banking on for fast starts.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape, on the other hand, is the most successful side of the tournament. They have won the title twice in three editions. But a lot has changed for them in this season, as their skipper Aiden Markram has moved to the Durban Super Giants.

Tristan Stubbs will lead the side now, and they’ve got many new signings in Jonny Bairstow, Quinton de Kock, Adam Milne, Anrich Nortje, James Coles, and Allah Ghazanfar. Their squad looks pretty good with most bases covered.

SA20 2025/26 3rd Match: PR vs SEC Possible Playing XIs

Paarl Royals: 1. Lhuan-Dre Pretorius, 2. Rubin Hermann (wk), 3. Dan Lawrence, 4. David Miller (c), 5. Sikandar Raza, 6. Delano Potgieter, 7. Hardus Viljoen, 8. Gudakesh Motie, 9. Mujeeb ur Rahman, 10. Ottniel Baartman, 11. Nqaba Peter

Sunrisers Eastern Cape: 1. Quinton de Kock (wk), 2. Matthew Breetzke, 3. James Coles/Jordan Hermann, 4. Jonny Bairstow, 5. Tristan Stubbs (wk), 6. Marco Jansen, 7. Lewis Gregory, 8. Senuran Muhthusamy, 9. Lutho Sipamla, 10. Adam Milne, 11. Anrich Nortje

Boland Park Paarl Pitch Report and Weather

A low and slow pitch is expected for this game considering the home team’s spin attack. The wicket generally got better for batting as the game progressed in the last season during day/night matches. Teams should prefer chasing here. Spinners will thrive, and top-order batters from the chasing side are expected to do well.

A clear day is expected for this match with no chance of rain.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PR vs SEC 2025/26: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Lhuan-Dre Pretorius likes to attack from the first ball and can take the game away from the opposition in just a few overs. He will be a must in your fantasy teams.
  • Pretorius was the highest run-scorer of the last edition with 397 runs in 12 innings at an average of 33.08, striking at 166.80 with three fifties.
  • Quinton de Kock made just 159 runs in 10 games last year. But he was in great touch in the recent series against India and will be a must in your fantasy teams.
  • Jonny Bairstow is a good player of spin bowling and will be a key batter for the Sunrisers. He scored 232 runs in eight innings last season with one fifty to his name. He averaged 38.66 with a strike rate of 134.10.

Key batter picks:

  • Tristan Stubbs had a forgettable last season with 232 runs in 11 innings at an average of just 29 and strike rate of just 118.97. However, Stubbs is a quality player, and you should back him in your fantasy teams.
  • David Miller averaged 58.50 in the last edition at a strike rate of 136.84 for his 234 runs in 9 innings. He will be a key player for his side and will be a top fantasy pick.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Marco Jansen was the highest wicket-taker (19 wickets) of the last edition and he scored 204 runs as well. Jansen is a proper all-rounder and can win games with both bat and ball. He will be the best C/VC pick.
  • Sikandar Raza is another top all-rounder pick for this game. He will bat at number 5-6 and should bowl a minimum of 2-3 overs. Raza is another popular C/VC choice.
  • James Coles is expected to bat at 3 and bowl a few overs. He was impressive in the Hundred this year.
  • Bjorn Fortuin picked up 11 wickets in 11 games in the last season. He will bowl two overs in the powerplay and then in the middle overs. Considering the conditions and Sunrisers’ right-hand-heavy middle order, he will be a good pick.
  • Hardus Viljoen picked up 14 wickets in just eight games last year for JSK. The Royals will expect something similar from him this year. He will be a good pick, especially while bowling first.

Key bowler picks:

  • Mujeeb ur Rahman bowled a lot in the death overs for Paarl, and he can swing his bat. He can bowl in any phase of the innings, and with the conditions aiding the spinners, you can try him as C/VC in one or two teams.
  • Gudakesh Motie will be a key spinner for Paarl. He is a genuine wicket-taker and is handy with the bat as well. Motie can wreak havoc on his day, especially at Boland Park. Try him as C/VC in one or two teams.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • Rubin Hermann while chasing will be a good option. He scored 333 runs in nine innings at an average of 41.62 with three fifties last year.
  • Delano Potgieter is expected to bowl 1-2 overs, and he can tonk the ball when he gets the chance. A good all-rounder for fantasy cricket.

Alternative picks you can consider:

  • Dan Lawrence
  • Nqaba Peter
  • Lutho Sipamla (bowl first)
  • Lewis Gregory (if plays)

Other Matchups and Facts

  • Sunrisers Easter Cape has won 5 of the 7 games played between the two teams.
  • David Miller vs Marco Jansen (T20s): 14 balls, 9 runs, and 2 dismissals.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape has a strong bowling attack and good batting depth. They also have plenty of options to choose from. While the Paarl Royals will rely heavily on their middle order. They’ll try to choke the Sunrisers batters with their spinners.

Considering team balance and squad depth, Sunrisers Eastern Cape should win this game.

PC vs JSK Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – SA20 2025/26 2nd Match

The 2nd game of the SA20 2025/26 sees Pretoria Capitals (PC) take on the Joburg Super Kings (JSK). The match will be played at the SuperSport Park at 4:30 PM IST.

Pretoria Capitals finished fifth in the points table last season with only two wins in 10 games. They failed to get going, reflected in their position in the points table.

But this time around, they’ve added some big names like Dewald Brevis, Shai Hope, Sherfane Rutherford and Jordan Cox to their lineup. Batting depth can be an issue for them, but overall, their squad looks pretty good on paper, as they have a good mix of domestic and overseas players for SA20 2025-26.

Joburg Super Kings, meanwhile, finished fourth and then lost in the second qualifier in the last edition. They’ve also made some big changes to their squad for this season. They have many young names, and it’ll be interesting to see how they go in a very competitive tournament.

Experienced players like Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, Rilee Roussouw and Richard Gleeson are there, but everyone’s eager to see the likes of Matthew de Villiers, Steve Stolk and Dian Forrester in action.

JSK, too, looks pretty balanced, and it’ll be a thrilling encounter between them and the Capitals.

SA20 2025/26 2nd Match: PC vs JSK Possible Playing XIs

SuperSport Park Centurion Pitch Report and Weather

A belter of a wicket with lots of runs is expected for this game. The ball will come onto the bat nicely, allowing the batters to score freely. Expect a high-scoring game with little to no help for the pacers. Spinners will be crucial for this game.

Scattered thunderstorms with a 40% chance of rain is predicted at the start of the game. We could have a rain-interrupted affair on our hands for this one.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PC vs JSK 2025/26: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Shai Hope will be a must in your fantasy teams. He’s been scoring runs for fun in all three formats of the game and will be a key batter for Pretoria.
  • Hope has 1094 runs in 31 T20s this year at an average of 42.10, striking at 123.20 with seven fifties and a hundred to his name. Try him as C/VC.

Key batter picks:

  • Faf du Plessis has been one of the best batters in the SA20 league and the best for his side in the last three seasons. He will be a popular C/VC pick. Faf in SA20 (2025): 10 innings, 286 runs at an average of 28.60, strike rate 138.16, including 2 fifties.
  • Dewald Brevis will be a must in your fantasy teams. He’s been in the form of his life at times in 2025 and has been batting very consistently.
  • Brevis scored 291 runs in the last edition at an average of 48.50, striking at 184.18 with two fifties. Brevis in T20s (2025): 22 innings, 682 runs at an average of 40.10, strike rate of 181.90, and five fifties to his name.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Donovan Ferreira is another must in your fantasy teams. He will play a key role for JSK with bat, ball, and in the field. Ferreira’s stocks in T20s have risen multiple times.  Ferreira in T20s (2025): 593 runs in 24 innings at an average of 34.90 and a strike rate of 197 with three fifties. He has picked up 9 wickets as well. He will be the best C/VC choice.
  • Andre Russell is expected to play this game. He will contribute with both bat and ball and will be a great choice for your fantasy teams. A top one while bowling first.
  • Wiaan Mulder is another excellent pick. He should get more oppotunities at JSK compared to his previous team. Mulder can be promoted up the order and is expected to bowl in the powerplay.

Key bowler picks:

  • Akeal Hosein can trouble the batters in this match. He’s one of the best spinners in the T20 circuit and can bowl in any phase of the innings. Akeal in T20s in 2025: 30 wickets in 37 innings at an economy of 7.39.
  • Nandre Burger will be JSK’s lead pacer this season. He has only played in the MLC this year (T20s) and had picked eight wickets in six innings. Burger can easily clock 145+ km/h and will bowl the key overs for his team.

  • One of Rivaldo Moonsamy and Neil Timmers is expected to open the innings for JSK. You can try both, as both are rated very highly and are known for their super aggressive batting.
  • Dian Forrester, if he plays, will be another top pick, as he’ll contribute with both bat and ball. Matthew de Villiers is another great option to try in your fantasy teams.

SA20 2025/26 2nd Match: PC vs JSK Match Prediction: Who will win?

Both teams are looking good on paper. But, the Pretoria Capitals are a bit light on their batting depth, while the Joburg Super Kings have plenty of new faces, so inexperience may be an issue for them. But overall, JSK is looking more balanced, with most bases covered.

Joburg Super Kings to win.

HEA vs STR Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – BBL 2025/26 13th Match

BBL action returns to the Gabba a week after the highest and most remarkable run chase in the competition’s history. Brisbane Heat take on the Adelaide Strikers in what could be a run-fest, especially given the Heat’s bowling struggles so far.

The Heat have conceded totals of 212, 257 and 193 this season. They are certainly capable of hitting big scores with the bat, but if they continue to give up such large numbers, they will struggle to put any meaningful run of form together. In fact, they lost their last match to the Thunder in meek fashion.

So, you can forgive the Strikers if they think there is an opportunity for their batting order to find runs. They couldn’t get going in their home game against the Melbourne Stars a few nights ago, crawling to 155/8. On what is expected to be a fine batting track here, they will need more from their top order.

BBL 2025/26 13th Match: HEA vs STR Possible Playing XIs

Oli Patterson is back in the Heat squad. He could replace Liam Haskett who has been very expensive this season.

Brisbane Heat: 1. Colin Munro (OS), 2. Jack Wildermuth, 3. Matt Renshaw, 4. Hugh Weibgen, 5. Tom Alsop (OS), 6. Max Bryant, 7. Jimmy Peirson (wk), 8. Xavier Bartlett (c), 9. Shaheen Shah Afridi (OS), 10. Matthew Kuhnemann, 11. Liam Haskett/Oli Patterson

Adelaide Strikers could stick with the same XI that lost to the Melbourne Stars.

Adelaide Strikers: 1. Matthew Short (c), 2. Chris Lynn, 3. Jason Sangha, 4. Liam Scott, 5. Alex Ross, 6. Jamie Overton (OS), 7. Harry Nielsen (wk), 8. Jerrssis Wadia, 9. Hassan Ali (OS), 10. Henry Thornton, 11. Lloyd Pope

Gabba Brisbane Pitch Report and Weather

Expect another magnificent batting track at the Gabba. Brisbane Heat chased down 258 against Perth Scorchers last week. In fact, chasing teams have won the past five T20s on this ground.

Since the start of 2023, pace bowlers have taken 129 BBL wickets here at an average of 24.28 and economy of 9.03. Spinners have taken 34 wickets in the same period at an average of 46.44 and economy of 8.55.

A cloudy evening is forecast with a top of 26 degrees. No rain is expected.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for HEA vs STR 2025/26: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Wicket-keeper picks are tricky for this match. Tom Alsop will probably bat in the highest position, but he’s unproven in Australian conditions. Harry Nielsen batted at nine in the last match. Jimmy Peirson has 318 runs against the Strikers at an average of 28.91 and strike rate of 141.96.

Key batter picks:

  • Matt Renshaw is in magnificent form. He’s smashed 163 runs at a strike rate of 179.12 this season, including 102 (51) on this ground. Renshaw also has magnificent numbers against the Strikers: 8 inns, 306 runs, avg. 51.00, SR 151.49.
  • Colin Munro career record against against Adelaide Strikers: 6 inns, 133 runs, avg. 26.60, SR 130.39.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Jack Wildermuth bowls four overs and opens the batting. He smashed 110* off 54 balls at the Gabba last week. He is a must-pick in fantasy cricket and is a genuine c/vc option.
  • Matt Short strikes at 156.63 in 10 innings against the Heat. If Short gets through the powerplay, he can go big against a Heat attack that is leaking plenty of runs.
  • Watch out for Jamie Overton at the backend of the Strikers batting innings, especially if they bat first. The all-rounder has struck 15 runs off five balls against Xavier Bartlett. He is also a key bowler for the Strikers and has picked up three wickets in two games this season.

Key bowler picks:

  • Xavier Bartlett struggled in the last game against the Thunder in Canberra (0/52). But, he returns to the Gabba where he has a fine record: 21 inns, 33 wickets, avg. 17.42, SR 12.70.
  • Hassan Ali will bowl in the crunch overs. He has 56 wickets in 30 innings in all T20s this year at an average of 17.9 and strike rate of 11.7.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Liam Scott has looked impressive with the bat, hitting scores of 51 and 25 at number four this season. He has only bowled one over so far, but is capable of taking wickets if given the opportunity.
  • Chris Lynn is yet to get going this season but he returns to his beloved Gabba. He has the most T20 runs on this ground (1,206) at an average of 34.46 and strike rate of 163.64.
  • Lloyd Pope has started BBL 2025/26 in strong fashion, taking 2/25 and 1/22 so far. He has six wickets in three matches against the Heat, but how will he go on a batting-friendly Gabba pitch?
  • Shaheen Shah Afridi is key to the Heat’s hopes. His 1/35 against the Thunder was his best performance so far in this BBL 2025/26 season. He is worth a pick as he bowls at the backend of the innings.
  • Hugh Weibgen has looked in decent touch this season (although he struggled for rhythm against the Thunder) and could bat in the top four again.

Other Stats and Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: Matches 22, Heat 11, Strikers 10, N/R 1.
