BBL09 Match 56: MR vs BH Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | MR vs BH Dream11 | Melbourne Renegades vs Brisbane Heat Preview Dream11 Prediction | Melbourne Renegades vs Brisbane Heat Key Players | MR vs BH Dream11 Prediction Today

After 55 games of BBL09 action, it comes down to this.

One playoffs spot is still open, and Brisbane Heat, after an impressive performance vs Melbourne Stars, can still grab it. They have been poor for the most part in recent games, but they are a danger side, and if they can make the playoffs on the back of momentum, anything can happen.

Melbourne Renegades stand in their way. It has been a season to forget for the champions, winning just two of 13 games. Before they happily wave this season goodbye, they can still have a big say in the makeup of the top five.

Can they beat the Heat for the second time in a week, this time on a Public Holiday Monday in Australia?

The equation for Heat: Win and qualify.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • You can’t keep a champion down for long. AB de Villiers, after a few quiet games, burst into life with a superb 71 off 37 balls vs Stars.
  • de Villiers took centre stage as Heat scored 88 in their final six overs on Saturday night.
  • Also, Aaron Finch returned to BBL in the perfect fashion. He is coming off a century vs Sixers.
  • Finch also has the most runs in Renegades-Heat matches: 353 at an average of 50.19 and SR 145.27. He has four half-centuries in seven innings vs Heat.
  • Ben Cutting has the second-most runs (247) and most wickets (10) in Renegades-Heat matches.
  • Chris Lynn is next on the Renegades-Heat run-scoring list with 233 (SR 148.41). Tom Cooper also has 233 runs head-to-head.
  • Sam Heazlett scored a half-century vs Renegades one week ago.
  • Beau Webster will be looking for a big finish to a fine season. He has made eight double-figure scores in his last 10 innings, including six scores of 25+.
  • Can Mohammad Nabi and Samit Patel keep things tight against the Heat’s big-hitters?
  • Cameron Boyce blew Heat away last week with 4/15 at the Gabba. Also, Boyce is enjoying a fine run at Marvel Stadium: 2/33, 2/30, 2/18, 2/31, 1/37 and 2/27.
  • Kane Richardson will have a key role to play in powerplay and death overs. As will Ben Laughlin for Brisbane Heat.
  • Mujeeb ur Rahman and Mitch Swepson took five wickets between them at the MCG vs Stars. Could they have a big impact on the traditionally-slow Marvel Stadium surface?

Head-to-Head

Possible Playing 11

Melbourne Renegades have named an unchanged 13-man squad for this clash. An option they do have is to promote keeper-batsman Brayden Stepien up the order.

Melbourne Renegades: 1. Aaron Finch (c), 2. Tom Cooper, 3. Nathan McSweeney, 4. Beau Webster, 5. Mohammad Nabi, 6. Daniel Christian, 7. Samit Patel, 8. Brayden Stepien (wk), 9. Will Sutherland, 10. Cameron Boyce, 11. Kane Richardson

Brisbane Heat have also named an unchanged 13-man squad.

Brisbane Heat: 1. Sam Heazlett, 2. Ben Cutting, 3. Chris Lynn (c), 4. AB de Villiers, 5. Matt Renshaw, 6. Marnus Labuschagne, 7. Jack Prestwidge, 8. James Pattinson, 9. Mitch Swepson, 10. Ben Laughlin, 11. Mujeeb ur Rahman

Marvel Stadium Pitch Report and Conditions

Mostly sunny weather is forecast for Melbourne on Monday, with a top of 22 degrees. The last game at Marvel Stadium saw a score of 190 from Hurricanes nearly chased down by the Renegades (190 vs 186).

Marvel Stadium pitch is typically on the slow side, but there has been an improvement in the surface this season; batsmen have been able to hit through the line a little more cleanly.

Match Prediction

Will the Heat flourish or be burdened by the pressure of a must-win game?

What’s in their favour is that they faced a must-win game across at MCG on Saturday. Led by ABD and the bowlers, they passed with flying colours. So, they have it in them to put in a big performance and quality for the playoffs.

They should do so against this Renegades side, who are short on confidence and keen for the season to end.

BBL09 Match 55: AS vs HH Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report

BBL09 Match 55: AS vs HH Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report |AS vs HH Dream11 | Adelaide Strikers vs Hobart Hurricanes Preview Dream11 Prediction | Adelaide Strikers vs Hobart Hurricanes Key Players | AS vs HH Dream11 Prediction Today

The final Sunday of the league stage in BBL09 has key implications for both teams.

The home side, Adelaide Strikers will lock in second place with a win by any margin. They have superior net run rate to Sydney Sixers, who occupy second place before this match. With the top two getting a guaranteed second chance, finishing there is crucial.

It is also a vital game for Hobart Hurricanes. They have roared back into contention with two straight wins, including a thumping victory over Thunder two days ago. The return of key players has given them a boost, and if they win this, they could spend the next 24 hours (depending on the Scorchers-Thunder result) in the top five.

Who will hold their nerve?

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • D’Arcy Short loves playing the Strikers. He is the all-time leading run-scorer in Strikers-Hurricanes matches.
  • His 355 runs have come at a superb average of 59.17 and SR 148.54. He can also offer value with the ball (five-wicket haul vs Thunder).
  • Jake Weatherald is next on the list with 302, including a century on this ground in the BBL07 Final vs Hurricanes.
  • Jono Wells is third in the BBL09 run-scoring list with 429. He has been dismissed just five times in 12 knocks, averaging over 80 as a result.
  • Travis Head (79 off 40) and David Miller (90* off 48) were the star performers when these teams met a week ago.
  • Also, Head is fourth on the all-time Strikers-Hurricanes run-scoring chart with 225 runs, avg. 45.00, SR: 146.10.
  • Mac Wright has been a breath of fresh air for Hurricanes in BBL09. He has struck 70* (50) and 64 (45) since his return to the team.
  • Matthew Wade has also been superb in the last two matches: 66 (29) and 56 (34).
  • Phil Salt has hit some form in recent games, with two fifties in his past four knocks.
  • James Faulkner returned last game and took 1/18. He remains a vital bowler for the Hurricanes.
  • Scott Boland has also played a key role for the Hurricanes in BBL09: 12 wickets in eight games.
  • Wes Agar took 4/33 vs Hurricanes a week ago. He has since taken 2/30 and 3/36.
  • Rashid Khan is third on the BBL09 wicket-taking chart with 18. He is always one to watch.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 13, Strikers 8, Hurricanes 4, NR 1.
  • Strikers won the last meeting by 10 runs, seven days ago.
  • Strikers have won five of seven games vs Hurricanes at Adelaide Oval.

A cracking match in prospect. A big game for both teams, for different reasons.

NZ vs IND 2nd T20I Preview Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | NZ vs IND 2nd T20 Dream11 | New Zealand vs India 2nd T20I Preview Dream11 Prediction | NZ vs IND 2nd T20I Dream11 Prediction Today

The second match the double-header in Auckland has an interesting feel to it.

In the first match, New Zealand were on track for 220+, the kind of score teams need on a ground with straight boundaries so small. But, Jasprit Bumrah was superb in overs 18 and 20, conceding just 16 that included three overthrows.

Bumrah, along with the batting contributions right the way down, were the significant positives for India. However, their fielding was poor, and when you have the opportunity to stop runs on a small ground, you simply have to take them.

In the second of five matches, will it be India to take a very significant 2-0 lead, or will it be New Zealand who build on their positives from match one?

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Colin Munro continued his love affair with India in T20 cricket. He is now the only player to have 300+ runs in India-NZ matches.
  • Ross Taylor is coming off his first half century in six years in T20I cricket. His hitting was a sight to behold on Friday.
  • Can Rohit Sharma bounce back? If he does, India could look at a very big total given how their other batsmen performed.
  • Those other batsmen include KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Player of the Match Shreyas Iyer.
  • KL Rahul has hit 45, 54 and 56 in his last three T20Is. In between, he hit 47, 80 and 19 in the ODIs vs Australia. In great white-ball form.
  • Virat Kohli is the third-highest scorer in India-NZ matches (242 runs at avg, 48.40, SR: 152.20). He is coming off 45 in the last match.
  • Shreyas Iyer’s hitting late on (58* off 29) makes him an excellent finishing option for India in this format.
  • Tim Seifert failed last game, but still has 140 runs in four games vs India. Also, can Kane Williamson build on his last-start 51 (26) and further improve on his average of 24 vs India?
  • Ish Sodhi (2/36) moved further ahead as the highest wicket-taker in India-NZ matches (13). Mitchell Santner, who dismissed Rohit last match, is next on the list (10).
  • Can Mohammed Shami improve on his poor showing in the opening match? (0/53)
  • Jasprit Bumrah was the only bowler to go for under eight an over in the opening match. If the other Indian bowlers can keep it somewhat tight, NZ will have to go after Bumrah more which can mean wickets.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 12, New Zealand 8, India 4.
  • India’s win in the first T20I was a welcome change for them. They have had a tough time of things in T20Is in New Zealand, winning just one of five games before the last match.

Key to a New Zealand win

There was plenty to be optimistic about for New Zealand, despite their defeat last game. A key area of improvement would be to take their chances in the field, with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli getting lives at a crucial stage of the chase.

Also, which opener can score at two runs a ball? A ground like this requires such scoring, and if either Colin Munro or Martin Guptill can go big early, it sets the innings up for the likes of Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Colin de Grandhomme to go big.

NZ vs IND 2nd T20I Preview Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | NZ vs IND 2nd T20 Dream11 | New Zealand vs India 2nd T20I Preview Dream11 Prediction | NZ vs IND 2nd T20I Dream11 Prediction Today

Key to an India win

Jasprit Bumrah is a national treasure for India. His death bowling kept the total at a par 203 given the ground dimensions, and he will be key in the powerplay and death overs again. However, this time, he needs better support from the likes of Mohammed Shami, given the all-rounders are capable of holding their own.

Also, can KL Rahul continue his excellent form? If yes, it can enable the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer to play with freedom that gives India a shot at a very large total. This is particularly important if they bat first: an area they haven’t been the best in.

Possible Playing 11

New Zealand could look to avoid any significant changes.

New Zealand: 1. Martin Guptill, 2. Colin Munro, 3. Kane Williamson (c), 4. Colin de Grandhomme, 5. Ross Taylor, 6. Tim Seifert (wk) 7. Mitchell Santner, 8. Ish Sodhi, 9. Tim Southee, 10. Blair Tickner, 11. Hamish Bennett

India could look at bringing in Navdeep Saini, likely for Shardul Thakur.

India: 1. Rohit Sharma, 2. KL Rahul (wk), 3. Virat Kohli (c), 4. Shreyas Iyer, 5. Manish Pandey, 6. Shivam Dube 7. Ravindra Jadeja, 8. Yuzvendra Chahal, 9. Mohammed Shami, 10. Navdeep Saini, 11. Jasprit Bumrah

Eden Park Auckland Pitch Report and Conditions

There was some dew in the last game, which could influence the captain’s decision at the toss. The weather is forecast to be pleasant once again (26 degrees and fine), with another belter of a pitch in store. Expect runs.

BBL09 Match 54: ST vs PS Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | ST vs PS Dream11 | Sydney Thunder vs Perth Scorchers Preview Dream11 Prediction | Sydney Thunder vs Perth Scorchers Key Players | ST vs PS Dream11 Prediction Today

Huge game. After 54 games of BBL, and 13 each for these two sides, it comes down to this.

Sydney Thunder, in poor form, sit seventh on 11 points. Perth Scorchers, in more up-and-down form, sit fourth on 12 points.

A win for Thunder, as well as a loss for either Hurricanes tonight (or a tight Hurricanes win) or Heat tomorrow, will give them a top five finish. For Scorchers, their equation is more simple: win by any margin and qualify for the playoffs.

It is all to play for. Who will hold their nerve?

The BBL09 Table before the final three league games.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Morne Morkel will make his BBL debut in a pressure-cooker situation. Can Morkel, with 202 wickets in 183 T20s, hit the ground running right away? He took at least one wicket in eight of his past 10 T20s in the Mzansi Super League.
  • Josh Inglis and Liam Livingstone took Thunder apart in their meeting six days ago in Perth.
  • Livingstone, with scores of 78 and 79 in his past two games, has shot up to fifth in the BBL09 run-scoring chart (409). Also, Livingstone’s leg spin could be useful on a slower Sydney Showground pitch.
  • Alex Hales has been a shining light in a tough few weeks for Thunder. He has also shot up in the BBL09 run-scoring list, moving to six with 402. He has scores of 85 and 63 in his past two games, part of 280 runs in his past seven knocks at an avg. of 46.67.
  • The loss of form of Usman Khawaja (0, 13, 11, 3 in his past four knocks) and Callum Ferguson (7, 7, 8*, 4, 12) has hurt Thunder.
  • However, Ferguson was Player of the Match vs Scorchers twice last season, which included a vital 42 (30) on this ground.
  • Ashton Turner is also struggling with poor form, for both state and country.
  • Mitchell Marsh has 175 runs vs Thunder in five innings, with only one dismissal. He also has three wickets against them.
  • Cameron Bancroft vs Thunder: 158 runs, avg. 58.00, SR: 122.54. His counterpart, Alex Ross, has four scores of 20+ in a row (32*, 51, 22*, 36).
  • Daniel Sams is coming off four wickets vs Hurricanes. He leads BBL09 with 24 wickets. Chris Morris, like Sams, will also be key.
  • Jhye Richardson has gone wicketless in his past two games. However, his last three games away from Perth have been superb: 1/19, 4/19, 3/22.
  • Fawad Ahmed returns to the ground where he has played plenty of matches for Thunder. He has taken at least one wicket in eight of his past 10 innings.

Head-to-Head

Possible Playing 11

Sydney Thunder have made no changes to their 13-man squad from their very poor performance two days ago in Hobart. Gurinder Sandhu, who went for 46 in three overs, could be left out for Chris Tremain.

Indeed, Thunder need to focus on their strength, which is spin. Nair, Cook and Bowe should all play.

Sydney Thunder: 1. Usman Khawaja, 2. Alex Hales, 3. Callum Ferguson (c), 4. Alex Ross, 5. Jay Lenton (wk), 6. Chris Morris, 7. Daniel Sams, 8. Arjun Nair, 9. Chris Tremain, 10. Jono Cook, 11. Liam Bowe

For Perth Scorchers, Morne Morkel comes in for Chris Jordan, who has left for England duty.

Also, another issue for Scorchers is how they get the most out of both Kurtis Patterson and Cameron Bancroft.

Perth Scorchers: 1. Josh Inglis (wk), 2. Liam Livingstone, 3. Kurtis Patterson, 4. Mitchell Marsh (c), 5. Ashton Turner, 6. Cameron Bancroft, 7. Ashton Agar, 8. Jhye Richardson, 9. Matt Kelly, 10. Morne Morkel, 11. Fawad Ahmed

BBL09 Match 54: ST vs PS Dream11: Liam Livingstone will be key.

Sydney Showground Pitch Report and Conditions

The Sydney Showground pitch is typically on the slower and lower side. With this being an afternoon game, with numerous matches played on the ground this season, a slower pitch could be the case.

However, there is a chance of rain on Sunday afternoon in Sydney. This could impact the match.

Huge game, with significant implications in the make-up of the top five. Scorchers are in the better form, but as Heat’s big win last night showed, anything is possible.

However, if both team’s big guns fire, the Scorchers should finish on top given the slightly extra firepower they have in their team.

BBL09 Match 53: MS vs BH Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | MS vs BH Dream11 | Melbourne Stars vs Brisbane Heat Preview Dream11 Prediction | MS vs BH Dream11 Prediction Today

It can be easy to forget that these two sides were the two favourites for the BBL09 Title.

Melbourne Stars were strengthened by some additions from Western Australia, as well as the fact Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell were available for the whole season due to missing out on ODI selection. They have lived up to their billing so far, finishing first with ease despite two defeats in their past two games.

Brisbane Heat had the power and batting depth. Tom Banton joined the likes of Chris Lynn, Max Bryant, Matt Renshaw and Ben Cutting. Then, AB de Villiers arrived to replace Banton. Surely, their batting alone could win them enough games to make the top five in an eight-team league.

However, they have been awful in recent games, with scores of 100, 120 and 126/8 in their last three outings. They are still a chance of making the playoffs, but need a massive improvement against the tournament’s best team so far. Can they pull it off?

BBL09 Match 53: MS vs BH Dream11: Lynn must deliver.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Marcus Stoinis failed last game (5). But, whenever he has failed in BBL09, he has often responded brilliantly the next game.
  • For example, he scored 62 against Sixers after scoring 6 vs Scorchers. He also scored 147* vs Sixers after a duck vs Renegades.
  • Also, Stoinis is the highest run-scorer in Stars-Heat matches (262), with a SR of 154.12.
  • Chris Lynn is next on the list with 222 at a SR of 148.00. It is time for the captain to step up now, at a ground where he hit five sixes in a row a few seasons back.
  • Can AB de Villiers play his most significant knock since his BBL debut three games ago? Will Heat play Marnus Labuschagne at three?
  • Glenn Maxwell was Player of the Match vs Heat earlier in BBL09. He scored 83 off 39 balls.
  • Peter Handscomb is coming off 65* (39) vs Strikers last game. A good option to have in the middle order for Stars if needed.
  • Ben Cutting’s middle order runs have been key for the Heat in recent times. He has 190 runs (avg. 31.67) and five wickets in 10 games vs Stars.
  • Adam Zampa and Sandeep Lamichhane have proven to be a difficult duo to deal with at MCG this season. Given the Heat’s capitulation against spin in recent games, these two will be key.
  • Also, Clint Hinchliffe, if picked, could be a handful. He has seven wickets in his last four games.
  • Ben Laughlin has taken at least one wicket in nine of his last 10 BBL games.
  • Melbourne Stars have picked another uncapped Pakistan seamer. Dilbar Hussain, like Haris Rauf, has a great story. Also, he is said to bowl with good pace, with a terrific slower ball to boot.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 11, Stars 7, Heat 4.
  • Interestingly, Heat have won three out of four games between the sides at the MCG.
  • The average totals at this ground when the two sides meet is Heat 150 vs Stars 132.

Possible Playing 11

Nathan Coulter-Nile returns, replacing Lance Morris. Also, it remains to be seen if Stars play Dilbar Hussain right away.

Melbourne Stars: 1. Nic Maddinson, 2. Marcus Stoinis, 3. Nick Larkin, 4. Glenn Maxwell (c), 5. Peter Handscomb, 6. Seb Gotch (wk), 7. Nathan Coulter-Nile, 8. Adam Zampa, 9. Clint Hinchliffe/Dilbar Hussain, 10. Daniel Worrall, 11. Sandeep Lamichhane

Jack Prestwidge comes into the Heat 13-man squad, in place of Joe Burns. However, Heat could stick with the same XI that lost to Sixers, with a few batting order adjustments.

Brisbane Heat: 1. Sam Heazlett, 2. Chris Lynn (c), 3. Marnus Labuschagne, 4. AB de Villiers, 5. Matt Renshaw, 6. Jimmy Peirson (wk), 7. Ben Cutting, 8. James Pattinson, 9. Mitch Swepson, 10. Ben Laughlin, 11. Mujeeb ur Rahman

MCG Pitch Report and Conditions

No rain is forecast for this match, with a top of 26 for Melbourne on Saturday.

In terms of the pitch, both batsmen and bowlers have had success at MCG so far this season. If the batsmen are keen to get through their first 10 balls unscathed, it is a pitch where you can score big on.

For example, three of the Stars’ top four failed to face at least 10 balls last game in Melbourne vs Scorchers. In the game before, Stoinis hit 147* vs Sixers.

Brisbane Heat are capable of producing a great performance. They have the players to do it.

However, their body language against Sixers last game was not good. They looked defeated. So, they will need a massive lift in this game against a Stars looking to bring back some momentum ahead of the finals.

Stars to win.

It is safe to say both these teams entered BBL09 with optimism.

After all, Sydney Sixers have been regulars when it comes to the playoffs stages of BBL. Melbourne Renegades were coming off their first ever title, and had a squad full of experience; arguably even stronger with the addition of Shaun Marsh.

But, the Sixers and Renegades have had very contrasting campaigns. Shaun Marsh and Sam Harper, two key players for the Renegades, are out. Worse, a bottom-placed finish is certain. The Sixers, on the other hand, are still gunning for a top two berth, which makes this a vital, final game for them.

BBL09 Match 52: SS vs MR Dream11: Finch is back.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Amid the doom and gloom, Renegades do welcome back Aaron Finch and Kane Richardson for this clash. Finch has 219 runs vs Sixers at an average above 31.
  • Moises Henriques is the highest sun-scorer in Sixers-Renegades matches (275). Also, Henriques scored 72 (41) in his last game at SCG.
  • James Vince has looked in supreme touch in his last two outings: 41* (22) vs Stars and 51 (37) vs Heat. Also, Vince was Player of the Match in the Renegades-Sixers clash earlier this season (41 off 26 balls).
  • Steve Smith has been in excellent white-ball form of late. His 9 last game was an exception to the rule.
  • Beau Webster: Biggest positive of the season for Renegades. He has nine double-figure scores in his last 10 knocks, including seven scores of 25 or more.
  • Tom Curran has scored 68 runs at SR 141.67, along with four wickets, in three matches against Renegades. He remains a crucial player, despite going for 58 runs against this opposition earlier in BBL09.
  • Mohammad Nabi is coming off a superb 63 (30) vs Hurricanes, along with 1/24. Also, Nabi has seven wickets in three games vs Sixers.
  • Kane Richardson was the top wicket-taker last season. Now, he returns with 10 wickets in seven BBL09 games.
  • Steve O’Keefe and Nathan Lyon worked beautifully in tandem on a Brisbane pitch that offered some turn a few nights ago. They could have an impact again on the typically-slower SCG track.
  • Ben Dwarshuis is the second highest wicket-taker in Sixers-Renegades matches (9).
  • Cameron Boyce in his past two matches: 4/15 and 2/27.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 11, Sixers 6, Renegades 5.
  • It is locked at 2-2 between these two sides at the SCG.

Possible Playing 11

Josh Hazlewood is back in the Sixers’ 13-man squad, and will lineup in place of Jackson Bird (likely).

Sydney Sixers: 1. Josh Philippe (wk), 2. James Vince, 3. Steve Smith, 4. Daniel Hughes, 5. Moises Henriques (c), 6. Jordan Silk, 7. Tom Curran, 8. Ben Dwarshuis, 9. Steve O’Keefe, 10. Nathan Lyon, 11. Josh Hazlewood

Shaun Marsh (hamstring) and Sam Harper (concussion) are out. Aaron Finch and Kane Richardson are available, with debutant Brayden Stepien a chance to open as a replacement keeper-batsman for Harper. More info on Stepien here.

Also, talented young seamer Zak Evans is a chance of playing after returning from a back injury.

Melbourne Renegades: 1. Aaron Finch (c), 2. Brayden Stepien (wk), 3. Beau Webster, 4. Tom Cooper, 5. Daniel Christian, 6. Mohammad Nabi, 7. Samit Patel, 8. Cameron Boyce, 9. Jack Wildermuth, 10. Kane Richardson, 11. Zak Evans

SCG Pitch Report and Conditions

A light shower or two during the day is a possibility for Sydney. However, it shouldn’t be anywhere near enough to deny a result.

In regards to the pitch, the SCG track is typically on the slower side, catering for some tight spin bowling in the powerplay and middle overs.

PAK vs BAN 1st T20I Preview Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | PAK vs BAN 1st T20 Dream11 | Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st T20I Preview Dream11 Prediction | Pakistan vs Bangladesh Key Players | PAK vs BAN 1st T20 Dream11 Prediction Today

After much deliberation and back-and-forth, Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan is finally here.

The tour is split over three legs, with the first of three T20Is to take place in Lahore. Bangladesh performed admirably in India, but will now need a team effort in the absence for Mushfiqur Rahim (opted out of tour amid family’s concerns) and Shakib Al Hasan (suspended).

Pakistan, still the number one ranked team, are on an awful run. They have lost their past six completed T20Is, including a 3-0 defeat at home to Sri Lanka in October last year. Experience and new-comers come into the squad for the second day T20 in Lahore in six years in the quest to get out of the rut they are in.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Out of the Bangladesh squad, only Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah have played a T20I in Pakistan.
  • Tamim Iqbal averages just 14.55 in nine T20Is vs Pakistan. Mahmudullah fares worse, averaging 8.14 in 10 matches.
  • Mohammad Hafeez returns to the Pakistan team. He is the second highest run-scorer in Pakistan-Bangladesh T20Is (193).
  • Shoaib Malik, also in the Pakistan squad, has 150 runs and six wickets vs Bangladesh in eight games.
  • Of course, who could forget Babar Azam? He scored two half-centuries in Pakistan’s poor showing in the T20Is in Australia. Also, he averages 50.17 after 36 T20Is.
  • Mohammad Naim impressed for Bangladesh in their recent tour of India. The 20-year old scored 26, 38 and 81.
  • All eyes will be on Haris Rauf. The BBL09 sensation, who took 16 wickets in seven games, will be keen to impress on Pakistan debut.
  • Shaheen Shah Afridi took 6/35 in the 50-over World Cup vs Bangladesh. He enjoys this opponent.
  • Mustafizur Rahman can be expensive at times, but given he bowls in the crunch overs, wickets are a possibility.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 10, Pakistan 8, Bangladesh 2.
  • This will be the first T20 between the sides in Pakistan since 2008. Pakistan won that match by 102 runs in Karachi.
  • Shoaib Malik scored 35 (18) and Tamim Iqbal scored 23 (17).

Possible Playing 11

Pakistan have made a host of changes, with Imam-ul-Haq, Haris Sohail and Mohammad Amir (controversially) not in the squad.

Pakistan: 1. Ahsan Ali, 2. Babar Azam (c), 3. Mohammad Hafeez, 4. Shoaib Malik, 5. Iftikhar Ahmed, 6. Imad Wasim, 7. Mohammad Rizwan (wk), 8. Shadab Khan, 9. Haris Rauf, 10. Shaheen Afridi 11. Mohammad Hasnain

Bangladesh will be without the services of Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan. However, Tamim Iqbal is back, and has to deliver.

Bangladesh: 1. Tamim Iqbal, 2. Mohammad Naim, 3. Afif Hossain, 4. Liton Das (wk), 5. Mahmudullah (c), 6. Soumya Sarkar, 7. Mahedi Hasan, 8. Aminul Islam, 9. Shafiul Islam, 10. Mustafizur Rahman, 11. Al-Amin Hossain

Gaddafi Stadium Lahore Pitch Report and Conditions

The Lahore track has a brown look and feel, which reportedly looks like a belter for batting. Sri Lanka scored 182 and 165 in their wins in Lahore in October 2019.

Also, the weather forecast looks good but cool, with a top of 17 degrees and no rain.

BBL09 Match 51: PS vs AS Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | PS vs AS Dream11 Today | Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers Preview Dream11 Prediction | Perth Scorchers vs Adelaide Strikers Key Players | PS vs AS Dream11 Prediction Today

After a brutal schedule over the past two weeks, Perth Scorchers have finally had the chance to stay put in a single location between matches.

The Scorchers were brilliant in their dominant win vs Thunder a few nights ago, and now have their second game in a row in Perth. It is sweet news for the players who have spent tens of hours on flights so far in 2020, ahead of a crucial game against another top five rival.

Adelaide Strikers still have the chance to seal a top two berth in BBL09. Given that a top two finish guarantees either a final appearance or a second chance, the Strikers will be out for a very strong finish to the league stage to play the Stars in the Qualifier next week; a team they have beaten twice in BBL09.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Jake Weatherald (83 off 47), Alex Carey (55 off 24), Josh Inglis (50 off 27) and Liam Livingstone (69 off 26) were the star batsmen in the Strikers-Scorchers meeting earlier this season.
  • Josh Inglis is enjoying a wonderful run of form: 51, 28, 73, 37, 12, 58.
  • He and Liam Livingstone have the most runs of any opening partnership in BBL09.
  • Jono Wells has had a superb season. He sits third for run-scorers in BBL09 with 406. He has been dismissed just five times in 11 innings, averaging 81.20 overall.
  • Can Travis Head produce an all-round display and improve his overall record vs Scorchers? He has 143 runs at 20.43 vs Scorchers, along with two wickets in three innings.
  • Mitch Marsh is striking at 151 in BBL09 (367 runs). His record at Perth has been impressive this season: 223 runs, avg. 74.33.
  • The two Ashton’s: Ashton Turner and Ashton Agar, return for Scorchers. They add key batting and bowling depth.
  • Jhye Richardson has been in fine touch, with 10 wickets in his last six matches. Also, he was Player of the Match in the corresponding match vs Strikers last season.
  • This will be Chris Jordan’s final match in BBL09 before he heads off for England duty. He is coming off 3/28 vs Thunder and has 14 wickets in 11 matches this season.
  • Rashid Khan’s three wickets turned the game against Scorchers earlier this season. He is always a factor with the ball.
  • Wes Agar has six wickets in his past two matches.
  • Fawad Ahmed has taken at least one wicket in every game in Perth so far in BBL09.

Head-to-Head

  • Matches 15, Scorchers 8, Strikers 7.
  • Scorchers looked to have the game won when Inglis and Livingstone battered the Strikers’ bowlers to all parts of the Adelaide Oval. But, Strikers roared back to win the earlier meeting this season.
  • Scorchers bowled Strikers out for 88 in Perth last season. However, that was a green pitch compared to the good batting surface available now.

Adelaide Strikers have named an unchanged 13-man squad from their win over Stars a couple of nights ago.

Adelaide Strikers: 1. Jake Weatherald, 2. Phil Salt, 3. Travis Head (c), 4. Alex Carey (wk), 5. Jono Wells, 6. Matthew Short, 7. Michael Neser, 8. Rashid Khan, 9. Peter Siddle, 10. Wes Agar, 11. Billy Stanlake

Optus Stadium Pitch Report and Conditions

Sydney Thunder scored 153/5 on Monday night at this ground. They were well short, scoring below the average winning first innings score of 190.75 this season.

So, the moral of the story is: if you bat first, you need to bat well.

READ: BBL09 Eliminator: Hobart Hurricanes vs Sydney Thunder Dream11 January 30, 2020

The ninth BBL season reaches its 50th game. With a number of changes in the make up of the table across so many games, it now comes to a very significant game for both these sides.

And the timing is brilliant for Hobart Hurricanes. They welcome back D’Arcy Short and James Faulkner, two key players who have been key to their fortunes over the past couple of seasons. Also, they are coming off a vital win in Melbourne, and if they win this, they will remain right in the running for a playoffs spot.

Sydney Thunder, like the Hurricanes, need a boost. They have won just two of their past seven games, but if they can hit form now, anything is possible for their campaign. A win in Hobart will go a long way towards playoffs qualification with a game remaining after this.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • D’Arcy Short’s inclusion is a huge plus for the Hurricanes. He scored a century in his last BBL innings, and scored 58 (39) in the corresponding game vs Thunder last season.
  • Matthew Wade hit the most runs by a single player in the powerplay in BBL history last game (62). Also, he scored 85 (49) on this ground vs Thunder last season. A key player.
  • Ben McDermott averages 45.75 in six innings vs Thunder.
  • Alex Hales is enjoying a solid run of form: 20*, 26, 55, 31, 0, 85. His 55 came against the Hurricanes in a Player of the Match performance.
  • Usman Khawaja, on the other hand, is not in the best form (103 runs in his last seven innings).
  • Callum Ferguson is also out of form after a very strong start to the season. He has made four single-digit scores in his last five completed innings.
  • Mac Wright, Player of the Match last game (70 off 50 balls), will be out for another big showing. With Short back in, Hurricanes could look to play him at three.
  • Daniel Sams, as an all-round option, has been poor with the bat in BBL09. But, his bowling has been excellent, still sitting top of the pile with 20 wickets.
  • Chris Morris is sitting equal sixth with 14 wickets. It is a fine effort considering he came in a few games into Thunder’s BBL09 campaign.
  • James Faulkner is a crucial addition for the Hurricanes. He was seventh-highest wicket-taker last season with 18.
  • Scott Boland in BBL09: 10 wickets in seven matches, avg. 20.40.

For Thunder, Chris Tremain has come into the 13-man squad for Ben Doggett. It remains to be seen if Arjun Nair bats at four again for Thunder.

Sydney Thunder: 1. Usman Khawaja, 2. Alex Hales, 3. Callum Ferguson (c), 4. Alex Ross, 5. Jay Lenton (wk), 6. Daniel Sams, 7. Chris Morris, 8. Arjun Nair, 9. Gurinder Sandhu, 10. Chris Tremain, 11. Liam Bowe
