SCO vs HUR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report: BBL 2021/22 Match 15 | SCO vs HUR Dream11 Prediction Today | Scorchers vs Hurricanes Key Players | Hobart Pitch Report
For the second time in a week, Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes will meet in Hobart. This match was originally scheduled to be played in Perth, but changes to Western Australia’s border rules means that the Scorchers will spend the entire campaign on the road.
As difficult as that sounds, they have a wonderful platform to build off. They are the tournament’s only unbeaten team so far this season, playing some wonderful cricket in the process. Mitchell Marsh made the perfect start to his campaign, smashing an unbeaten century on this ground against the Hurricanes last week, continuing what has been a remarkable year in T20 cricket for the ‘Bison’.
In the process, the Scorchers thumped the Hurricanes in what looked to be a competitive match on paper. The Hurricanes – as they showed in their previous match against the Sixers – have what it takes to produce great all-round performances. The talent is there to make a title charge, and they will be aiming to build some consistency and move up the table.
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Perth Scorchers:
- Mitch Marsh is having a year to remember. He scored a 60-ball 100* vs Hurricanes last week on this ground, smashing 11 boundaries (including five sixes).
- Marsh now has 303 runs in eight matches vs Hurricanes at an average of 43.29 and strike rate of 139.63.
- Colin Munro smashed a century two matches ago against the Strikers. He missed out last week vs Hurricanes (0 off 2 balls), but will be looking to bounce back here.
- Josh Inglis was dismissed in unlucky fashion last week, smashing a slog sweep straight to deep backward square leg. He has scored a total of 143 runs vs Hurricanes in five innings at an average of 35.75 and strike rate of 153.76.
- Englishman Laurie Evans will have a key role to play as a finisher once again. He smashed 40 off 24 balls against the Hurricanes last week.
- Tymal Mills is a magnificent addition to this Scorchers lineup. The left-armer is having a brilliant year in short-form cricket (35 wickets in 24 matches, econ. 6.68), including 3/23 vs the Hurricanes last week.
- Ashton Agar has taken 10 wickets in seven matches vs Hurricanes at an average of 16.50 and economy rate of 6.11. This includes a miserly spell of 2/21 last week.
Hobart Hurricanes:
- Will Matthew Wade deliver today? He smashed 93 off 46 balls two games ago against Sydney Sixers, and the Hurricanes will be hoping he can produce something similar today after missing out last time out vs Scorchers (4 off 5 balls).
- Wade averages just 21 in seven outings vs Scorchers. He will also be seeking to improve on his average of 25 in 18 T20 innings at Hobart.
- D’Arcy Short has struggled to get going this season in terms of his strike rate (SR 107.75). He scored 31 off 29 balls vs Scorchers last week, part of 325 runs in eight innings against them at an average of 46.43 and strike rate of 122.18.
- Short has the second-most runs in T20s at Bellerive Oval: 25 inns, 891 runs, avg. 37.13, SR 141.20.
- Ben McDermott looked in fantastic form in his first match of the season last week vs Scorchers. He smashed 41 off 29 balls with three fours and three sixes.
- Nathan Ellis has the most wickets of any Hurricanes bowler against the Scorchers. He has taken nine wickets in five matches at an average of 18.33, including 2/33 last week. He also has 16 scalps in 11 matches on this ground.
- The Hurricanes are set to welcome Riley Meredith. He has seven wickets in six matches vs Scorchers at an impressive economy rate of 7.03.
- Hurricanes would be well served playing Tom Rogers. He has seven scalps in just four matches vs Scorchers at an average of 17.29 and economy rate of 7.56.

It was a good batting surface last week as the Scorchers racked up over 180 runs. Expect another good batting surface here.

Perth Scorchers look good for a win once again. But, any score of over 170 batting first will be a tough chase on a ground that favours batting first in recent times.
