SIX vs HEA Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report: BBL 2021/22 Match 25 | SIX vs HEA Dream11 Prediction Today | Sixers vs Heat Key Players | SCG Pitch Report

It’s moving time for the Brisbane Heat. As BBL 11 nears its halfway stage, the Heat sit outside the top five, with inconsistency and poor periods of play plaguing their season so far.

Last time out, they were blown away by Hilton Cartwright and Joe Clarke after reducing Melbourne Stars to 16/3. Liam Guthrie conceded the most runs ever in a BBL game (70), as the Heat once again let an advantage slip. Ben Duckett, who will be key today, and Chris Lynn gave them hope of chasing a 200+ score, but it was too much in the end.

Victory today will push them back up to the top five, but it won’t be easy against the high-flying Sydney Sixers. Unlike the Heat, the Sixers find ways to win from difficult positions, storming to a big total in a rain-affected match last time out vs Sydney Thunder. The Sixers’ depth is outstanding, and with Shadab Khan expected to lineup today, they will be even harder to beat.

Fans around Australia will look forward to this clash with no Test cricket today thanks to England’s abject batting in the Ashes series. It will be interesting to see whether the Heat can put up a good fight.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Sydney Sixers:

  • Josh Philippe remains the top scorer in BBL 11 (295 runs, avg. 59, SR 151.28). He has struck 83, 72 and 23 at the SCG this season, part of 568 runs in 19 innings overall on this ground at an average of 35.50 and strike rate of 142.36.
  • Philippe has a solid record vs the Heat, with 153 runs in six innings at an average of 38.25 and strike rate of 119.53.
  • James Vince enjoys batting against the Heat. The Englishman has struck 200 runs in five innings at an average of 40.00 and strike rate of 147.06.
  • Vince has made three 20+ scores in his last four BBL 11 matches without crossing 31. Will today be his day?
  • Daniel Hughes, who struck a fine 50 (26) last game vs Thunder, has the most runs for any Sixers player against the Heat (9 inns, 251 runs, avg. 27.89, SR 133.96). Skipper Moises Henriques is not far behind with 213 runs (avg. 26.63, SR 133.96).
  • Dan Christian smashed 61* (38) and took 1/34 the last time he played the Heat. Overall, he has a fine record vs Heat with 200 runs in 11 innings at an average of 33.33 and strike rate of 153.85, plus 11 wickets. Also, Christian is coming off a player of the match performance vs Thunder, where he smashed 41* off 17 balls.
  • Sean Abbott has a magnificent record vs Heat. The seamer has taken 20 wickets in just eight matches at an average of 11.20 and economy rate of 7.68. Also, Abbott is the top wicket-taker in T20s at the SCG (36 inns, 54 wickets).
  • Hayden Kerr is the Sixers’ top wicket-taker so far this season. The left-arm seamer has taken nine wickets in six innings, including 3/29 last match vs Thunder.

Brisbane Heat:

  • Chris Lynn has the most runs in Sixers-Heat matches. The right-hander has struck 301 runs in 11 innings at an average of 27.36 and strike rate of 155.15, which includes the most incredible 94 off 35 balls on this ground back in 2019.
  • Lynn found some form in the last match vs Stars with 57 off 34 balls, which included five sixes.
  • Ben Duckett is well and truly finding his feet in BBL cricket. The Englishman has scored 78 and 54 in his last two innings, part of 192 runs in six innings this season at an average of 32.00 and strike rate of 143.28.
  • Sam Heazlett is batting beautifully, so the Heat will be well served batting him higher up the order. He has struck scores of 42, 34, 44*, 5, 49 and 26 this season at an overall strike rate of 149.25.
  • Heazlett has scored just 54 runs in six innings vs Sixers (avg. 9.00), but he is a much improved player this season.
  • Mark Steketee has eight wickets to his name in three matches in BBL 11. He has eight wickets in six games vs Sixers, including a player of the match performance last season where he took 4/33.
  • James Bazley is the Heat’s leading wicket-taker this season with nine scalps in six matches.
  • Will Heat play Xavier Bartlett? He has struck 102 runs in BBL 11 without being dismissed once, along with five wickets in four matches. He does need to improve his economy rate of 9.69 this season.
  • Alternatively, the Heat could look to play Cameron Gannon. The seamer has taken five wickets in two matches vs Sixers.

Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 14, Sixers 11, Heat 3.
  • Heat have won two of their three matches vs Sixers at the SCG. There have been a total of five matches between these two teams on this ground, with the Sixers leading 3-2.
  • Sydney Sixers can move back to the top of the table with victory today (including the Bash Boost point).

Possible Playing 11

Sydney Sixers have named their squad for this match. Shadab Khan should play after missing the last match as he was awaiting a negative COVID-19 result.

Mitch Swepson and Michael Neser are still unavailable for selection for the Brisbane Heat. Cameron Gannon and Nathan McSweeney are in the squad, which also includes Liam Guthrie who conceded 70 runs a few days ago. He could be replaced by Xavier Bartlett or Cameron Gannon.

Brisbane Heat: 1. Chris Lynn, 2. Max Bryant, 3. Tom Cooper, 4. Ben Duckett, 5. Sam Heazlett, 6. Jimmy Peirson (c & wk), 7. James Bazley, 8. Mark Steketee, 9. Xavier Bartlett/Cameron Gannon, 10. Matt Kuhnemann, 11. Mujeeb ur Rahman

SCG Pitch Report and Weather

The SCG has played host to some high-scoring matches so far this season. There have been two 200+ scores in three matches so far in BBL 11, with an overall average first innings score of 191. The team batting first won both games where they scored 200+, with the Sixers then struggling to chase 148 vs Strikers earlier this season.

It is a cloudy day today in Sydney, but rain is unlikely to play a factor.
