Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will challenge the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 21st game of IPL 2026. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, will host this game on 13th April 2026 at 7:30 PM IST.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are seventh in the points table with one win in four matches. Their bowling has been the main reason for their poor start, and they’ll have to fix the issue if they are to keep RR in check and get their tournament on track. Abhishek Sharma came back to form in the last game, but Ishan Kishan and Travis Head have been far from their best with the bat.
Bowling – especially pace bowling – has been SRH’s kryptonite this season. Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat and Eshan Malinga have been below average until now. Shivang Kumar and Harsh Dubey have picked up the pieces, but the attack needs to come together as a unit.
Meanwhile, RR are on a roll this season. They are at the top of the table with four wins in four games. Their top 3 have been in exceptional form and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is quite literally bullying the bowlers. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have both been in terrific touch as well. However, Riyan Parag’s form and the middle order’s lack of game time will be of some concern.
On the bowling front, Ravi Bishnoi has picked up wickets consistently while Jofra Arhcer and Nandre Burger have bowled nicely especially in the first six overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Sandeep Sharma complete the bowling attack for the Royals. They are looking pretty solid as a team.

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
- Ishan Kishan scored 80 runs in the first game but has failed to get going in the last three games. He has a total of 122 runs in four matches. He smashed 106 off 47 balls against RR last season.
- Dhurv Jurel played a match-winning knock in the last match. He is batting very aggressively at number three and has played his shots fearlessly. He is striking at 181.44 this season (176 runs).
- Heinrich Klaasen has 184 runs in four innings at an average of 46 and strike rate of 140.45, including two fifties. Klaasen is still far from his fluent best, but he has been in good touch and will be a top fantasy pick. You can try him as C/VC, especially while batting first.
Key batter picks:
- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently the highest run-scorer of IPL 2026 with 200 runs in 4 innings at an average of 50 with an unbelievable strike rate of 266.66. He is the top Dream11 captaincy option against a struggling SRH attack.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal is another top batter for RR to pick in fantasy cricket for this game. Jaiswal has 183 runs in four innings at an average of 91.50 at a strike rate of 163.39 in IPL 2026, and has 267 runs against SRH in eight innings (avg. 33.4, SR 154.3).
- Abhishek Sharma scored a brilliant 74 in the last game. He took on the bowlers and looked very comfortable at the crease. His form will be a good sign for the Sunrisers. Abhishek will be a top C/VC choice for this match, as he can take the game away from the Royals if he gets going.
- Travis Head is another must-pick in your fantasy teams. He is another super aggressive opener from this match, and you can’t miss out on him. He’s been far from his best in the four games till now (102 runs) but he is a proven match-winner in the IPL.
Top all-rounder picks:
- Nitish Kumar Reddy has 96 runs, including a fifty, and he also has two wickets to his name. Considering RR’s bowling and the current form of SRH’s middle order, he should get good time to bat and may bowl a few overs. Reddy will be a top all-rounder pick for this game.
Key bowler picks:
- Jofra Archer has five wickets in four games. He’s bowling quick and will pose a threat to the SRH openers. Archer can swing the new ball both ways, and he’ll target Abhishek and Head with his hard lengths.
- Nandre Burger too has five wickets to his name. He’s also bowled well with the new ball and in the middle overs. Burger is another bowler who can trouble the SRH openers with his left-arm angle and away swing at a high pace.
- Ravi Bishnoi has nine wickets in four games. He’s picking up wickets for fun. His economy so far is 8.76 at a bowling strike rate of just 8.6. He has a dominant record against Ishan Kishan in the IPL: 38 balls, 34 runs, four wickets.

IPL 2026 21st Match: SRH vs RR Match Prediction: Who will win?
Rajasthan Royals are clearly the more balanced team for this game. They have quality batters; they bat deep and have plenty of quality in their bowling as well. Sunrisers, on the other hand, are not at their best with the bat, and their bowling has been abysmal, especially the pacers.
Rajasthan Royals should win this match.
