Delhi Capitals (DC) will challenge the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 39th game of IPL 2026. Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, will host this game on 27th April 2026 at 7:30 PM IST. Delhi Capitals won the first encounter between the two teams by six wickets.

Delhi Capitals are seven in the table with three wins in seven games. They’ve lost 4 of the last five games, including the last match where they scored 264 runs batting first and still lost the game with 1.3 overs left. Their bowlers have failed to create an impact, and it’ll be a headache for them.

KL Rahul scored a brilliant 152*, while Nitish Rana (91 runs) has been in good form as well. Pathum Nissanka’s poor form continues, while Tristan Stubbs and David Miller have done a good job. The Capitals will need skipper Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, and T Natarajan to take responsibility with the ball. This will be a crucial game for the Capitals, and they must perform as a team.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, meanwhile, are sitting pretty at the second position in the points table. They’ve lost only two games out of seven till now, one of which came against the Delhi Capitals. RCB is looking very solid, as their batters have been in top form and the bowlers are also doing a good job.

Virat Kohli is consistent as ever, while Devdutt Padikkal has been phenomenal at number three. However, RCB’s bowling, at times, has been very expensive. Romario Shepherd is their sixth bowler, and he’s been very expensive, while Rasikh Dar too has gone for runs in the last two games. RCB will look to strengthen their position with a win in this game.

Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium Delhi Pitch Report and Weather

A total of 529 runs were scored in the last game played at this venue. It will be an excellent pitch for batting, with the dimensions will be on the smaller side as well.

There might be something for the spinners as the game progresses and new ball might move a bit for the pacers. Overall, a high-scoring encounter is on the cards. The average first innings score here this season is 212 runs, and chasing sides have won two of the three games played so far.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for DC vs RCB: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicketkeeper picks:

  • KL Rahul has 831 runs in 18 games against RCB at an average of 69.20 and strike rate of 144.50. This includes five fifties and a century. Rahul scored 152* in the last game and will be the most popular captain choice for this game.

Key batter picks:

  • Virat Kohli scored a brilliant 81 runs in the last game against GT. He is looking in sublime form and is batting very positively. Kohli has a total of 328 runs at an average of 54.66 and strike rate of 163.18 in IPL 2026. He will be a top captain choice, especially while chasing.
  • Rajat Patidar has failed to get going in the last two games, but he’s a key batter for RCB at number 4. He is batting very aggressively, and RCB’s scoring at a very high rate in the middle overs thanks to the skipper. Patidar will be a top C/VC option as well.
  • Devdutt Padikkal will attack from the first ball, batting at number 3. He scored 55 off just 27 in the last game and took the game away from GT. Padikkal will be crucial against the likes of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. He has three fifties in six innings this season.
  • Tristan Stubbs scored 60* in the last game against RCB. He is batting according to the situation. HIs strike rate hasn’t been the best but Stubbs is a quality batter and will be a must in your fantasy teams, especially if the Capitals are chasing. He has 196 runs at an average of 65.33 with two fifties.
  • Jacob Bethell opened the innings in the last game. He’s expected to play in this game as well. He looked in decent touch and will enjoy batting at this venue. Bethell can also bowl an over or two if needed.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Axar Patel will bowl his full quota and can contribute with the bat too. His current form hasn’t been that great, but Axar is a key all-rounder for his side and will fancy his chances against RCB’s right-hand-heavy batting unit.

Key bowler picks:

  • Josh Hazlewood will bowl the hard lengths, and it’s really difficult to hit him for a lot of runs. He has four wickets in fiyr games at an economy of 8.87. Hazlewood can trouble the DC batters and will be someone you can’t miss out on in this game.

IPL 2026 39th Match: DC vs RCB Match Prediction: Who will win?

While DC defeated RCB when these two teams met earlier this season, RCB start as the favourites to win this game.

Their batters are in fine form, and the bowlers are delivering as unit. DC, meanwhile, lack consistency and will have to play as a unit in this game if they are to win.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win.
