IND vs SA 3rd T20 Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | IND vs SA 3rd T20 Dream11 Prediction Today | Indore Pitch Report
While the 200 vs 200 run fest is pleasing to eyeballs, sponsors and broadcasters, it leaves plenty of room for improvement for India and South Africa. Granted, the severe humidity in Guwahati played a role in all the full tosses, but here is an opportunity for both teams to improve on their death bowling.
That being said, the batting is irresistible. Both teams possess great power that makes them two of the contenders for the World Cup, with the form of Suryakumar Yadav and David Miller in particular a thing of beauty. Also, KL Rahul playing in a fearless manner adds a different dimension to the Indian team, and the Proteas’ bowlers will have to find a way to keep the India top four quiet.
An interestingly-timed ODI series will take place after the T20Is, but the focus is the World Cup. A solid performance here can increase confidence ahead of the showpiece tournament, which is now right on the doorstep.
IND vs SA 3rd T20 Possible Playing XI
India may look to bring in the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for more game time ahead of the World Cup.
India: 1. KL Rahul, 2. Rohit Sharma (c), 3. Virat Kohli, 4. Suryakumar Yadav, 5. Rishabh Pant (wk), 6. Dinesh Karthik, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Harshal Patel, 9. Ravichandran Ashwin, 10. Deepak Chahar, 11. Arshdeep Singh
South Africa have selection issues, starting with captain Temba Bavuma, whose place in the side is further in the spotlight after two ducks. Also, Rilee Rossouw’s place is at risk due to two ducks to his name, too.
South Africa: 1. Temba Bavuma (c), 2. Quinton de Kock (wk), 3. Rilee Rossouw/Heinrich Klaasen, 4. Aiden Markram, 5. David Miller, 6. Tristan Stubbs, 7. Wayne Parnell, 8. Keshav Maharaj, 9. Kagiso Rabada, 10. Anrich Nortje, 11. Lungi Ngidi
IND vs SA Head-to-Head Stats & Key Players
India:
- KL Rahul is finding his rhythm. He has struck two fifties in this series, including a 28-ball 57 last game. Also, he has a great record at Indore, with 419 runs in 10 matches at an average of 46.56 and strike rate of 156.34.
- Suryakumar Yadav is in unbelievable form. The right-hander has scored the most runs of any player in T20Is this year (793) at an average of 41.73. But, it’s the strike rate of 185.28 that is out of this world.
- Virat Kohli has had a pattern of low score, higher score in recent matches. Can he back up his 49* in the second T20I with another strong performance at Indore?
- Virat has scored 306 runs at an average of 38.25 and strike rate of 135.39 against South Africa.
- Arshdeep Singh had a difficult outing in the second T20I (2/62), but has proven credentials at the death. However, in this series, he has been magnificent in the powerplay, taking all five wickets in this stage.
- Deepak Chahar has slotted in nicely into the India XI. He will also be key given South Africa’s powerplay worries in this series.
- Axar Patel was player of the series against Australia recently. Also, India will be well served bowling Axar to Markram again, given the latter’s problems against left-arm orthodox in T20s in 2022: 30 balls, 38 runs, four dismissals.
South Africa:
- Quinton de Kock found the going difficult at times in the second T20I. The opener has three half-centuries in seven innings against India.
- Aiden Markram has looked good for his two starts in this series, but whether he can carry on will be key. His battle against Axar might be important in the context of the result.
- David Miller is having a stunning year when chasing in T20s: 633 runs, avg. 70.33, strike rate 153.64.
- Keshav Maharaj was arguably the pick of the bowlers from both teams in the second T20I (2/25). Also, the left-arm spinner also hit 41 in the opening match.
- Can Kagiso Rabada find his groove? He has dismissed Rohit three times in 61 balls in T20s (77 runs) and Kohli four times in 40 balls (42 runs). However, he has taken just seven wickets in ten T20Is vs India (avg. 38.85, SR 30.8).
