India vs Australia 4th ODI Preview Dream11. IND vs AUS 4th ODI Preview Dream11 Prediction
Thought this would be a one-sided series?
You certainly wouldn’t have been alone.
However, India haven’t quite been at their best. Their bowling in the powerplay has been key to their success so far in 2019, but Australia have been able to get quick starts in the last two matches. With the bat, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan continue to struggle a little, which has allowed Australia to get right into the game. Virat Kohli is certainly on another planet at the moment, but he needs better support if India are to produce the runs they need to take the series. Can they deliver?
Australia have proven many wrong. The Aussies, who easily could have been 2-1 up in the series, kept hopes of a series win alive with a solid all-round performance in Ranchi. Aaron Finch getting back in the runs is a massive positive, so too Usman Khawaja’s first ever ODI century. Then, Pat Cummins further enhanced his status as one of the world’s best bowlers, and Jhye Richardson made it clear that Australia must play him more often than they don’t. Australia have never lost an ODI in Mohali, and have a great opportunity to improbably level the series. Will they do it?

Key to an India win
Changes are expected for India, and fans will be hoping for a slight change in performance. Virat Kohli’s men have been good for the most part, but have also had inconsistent moments with the bat, which is something they’d like to rectify in Mohali. Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have been under par with the bat, and if both get their chance again here, India will be hoping for the kind of starts Australia have had. Virat Kohli once again holds the key, but who will deliver in the number four position to help further set the innings up? Can Rishabh Pant make a big impression as MS Dhoni is rested? Will India start and finish a lot better than they did in Ranchi?
Also, India need to quickly rediscover their wicket taking ability in the powerplay overs. In Australia and New Zealand, India were able to get through the openers, which then provided a fine platform for success in the middle overs. India brought things back well in Ranchi, but the strong starts from Australia is something they’d like to avoid. Will Bhuvneshwar Kumar come back, and if so, can he get the better of Aaron Finch again? Can the likes of Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar provide some control with the ball? To win the series, India need an all-round bowling display.
Key to an Australia win
An opening stand of 193 in 31.5 overs in Ranchi means two things in hindsight. Firstly, Australia’s strong starts with the bat in the last two games has put them right in both matches. Secondly, it has provided a platform for the middle order, so Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja will certainly be key again. However, the performance of the middle order, when the chase was on track in Nagpur and a total of 350+ beckoned in Ranchi, is cause for significant improvement. Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb need to deliver, and so too Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis as Australia look to finish strongly.
Also, there is plenty to like about Australia’s bowling. Jhye Richardson was outstanding in Ranchi, and his partnership with Pat Cummins is a key strength of Australia’s. A big key to victory for the Aussies is whether they can again dismiss at least two of India’s top three early, placing pressure on the middle order. With Virat Kohli scoring two centuries in a row, can Australia find a way to dismiss him early? What about the openers? With Adam Zampa and Nathan Lyon both toiling away with fine effort, Australia can look forward to a cohesive bowling performance that keeps the pressure on India in all three stages of the innings.
Possible Playing 11
Changes are likely for India. KL Rahul could come in for the struggling Ambati Rayudu. MS Dhoni is rested, which gives Rishabh Pant a chance with the gloves. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is said to be likely to return, and could take Ravindra Jadeja’s place. With Kumar providing a decent batting option at eight, India could choose to play both wristspinners.

Dream11 Prediction
Key stats and points:
- The pitch is expected to be flat. With it being a clear day, there could be dew, which might tempt the team who wins the toss to bowl first.
- The average first innings score in the last five ODIs in Mohali is 307.
- Rohit Sharma scored a double hundred in his last ODI on this ground. Virat Kohli scored 154* in his. Kohli is a must-pick, and it could be worth keeping the faith with Rohit.
- Aaron Finch has found some form, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed him three times in the recent series in Australia.
- Usman Khawaja continues to show excellent value. Khawaja’s scores this series: 50, 38, 104.
- Shikhar Dhawan in 2019: 11 matches, 265 runs, average: 26.50.
- Alex Carey might not be the finisher Australia need, but he’s been solid enough this series: 36*, 22, 21*.
- Yuzvendra Chahal could be a better pick than Kuldeep Yadav, who has a knack of picking up less wickets later in ODI series.
- Adam Zampa has seven wickets this series.

Match Prediction
Had a feeling Australia would win the last match, which they did.
They have a strong record in Mohali, and they are playing pretty good cricket. However, India have shown excellent bounce back ability in ODIs, and I have the feeling they will recover well and win the series here.
Head says India, heart says Australia.
