Ireland Tri-Nations: Bangladesh vs West Indies Preview Dream11. BAN vs WI Preview Dream11 Prediction
Well, that was some statement.
West Indies have continued their good form ahead of the World Cup, trouncing Ireland by 196 runs on Sunday. The victory was set up by a world record 365 opening stand by Shai Hope and John Campbell, which was then backed up well by West Indies’ capable pace attack. They will put one foot in the Tri-Series Final with a win, and it will be interesting to see how they follow up their first up effort.
Bangladesh have enjoyed playing against West Indies in recent times. They beat the Windies both home and away in 2018, clinching the deciders in both series. However, their form away from Asia is worrying, with their last assignment a toothless 3-0 defeat in New Zealand. Now, Shakib Al Hasan is back, and has to combine well with fellow experienced players if Bangladesh are to inspire some confidence ahead of the World Cup.

Key to a Bangladesh win
Ireland had an awful day with the ball on Sunday. So can Bangladesh do better? Bangladesh’s bowling away from Asia often lacks penetration and control, so this is a great opportunity against in-form openers to find rhythm. Mustafizur Rahman and Mashrafe Mortaza hold the key today, with Mortaza in particular capable of nibbling the ball around in these conditions. However, can Bangladesh bowl well as a unit? Shakib Al Hasan can provide control. Taskin Ahmed, who was unlucky to miss out on the Preliminary Squad, could get a go today. Iff he does, he has to remind selectors of what he is capable of.
Also, Bangladesh lost wickets very regularly in their series against New Zealand. In all three ODIs, the middle order found itself rebuilding the innings and saving face. This is something Bangladesh have to avoid here, which puts onus on the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim to set up a platform. Mohammad Mithun and Sabbir Rahman played well in New Zealand, so how they handle the Windies’ pace attack will make for interesting viewing. Also, how well will they rotate strike and finish the innings via the likes of Mahmudullah and Sabbir?

Key to a West Indies win
Shai Hope and John Campbell showed no mercy against Ireland. Their appetite to score runs and dominate was pleasing to see from a Windies’ perspective. So, can they back it up with another strong opening stand? As Bangladesh is a side that can often go on the defensive quickly, a strong start then sets up the middle overs period nicely where the Windies can continue building to a total through the likes of Darren Bravo, Roston Chase and Jason Holder. Who will step up in the middle order if needed?
Also, the Windies’ pace attack will sure to be raring to go after a good outing vs Ireland. Sure, defending such a huge total was always in their favour, but World Cup form and spots are up for grabs. Can they get early wickets in the powerplay, forcing a Bangladesh rebuild? With the Dublin pitch often providing assistance to seamers, West Indies have an opportunity to build pressure on Bangladesh. Can they get the better of Tamim Iqbal in particular, who was their nemesis in ODIs last year?

Possible Playing 11
Shakib Al Hasan returns to the Bangladesh team after missing the New Zealand series with injury. With him in the team, they can afford to go in with an extra seamer. Also, Farhed Reza, whose last ODI was in 2011, could play if Mohammad Saifuddin isn’t deemed fit enough.
Bangladesh: 1. Tamim Iqbal, 2. Liton Das, 3. Shakib Al Hasan, 4. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 5. Mohammad Mithun, 6. Mahmudullah, 7. Sabbir Rahman, 8. Farhed Reza, 9. Mashrafe Mortaza (c), 10. Taskin Ahmed, 11. Mustafizur Rahman
West Indies could stick with the same XI that thumped Ireland.
West Indies: 1. John Campbell, 2. Shai Hope (wk), 3. Darren Bravo, 4. Jonathan Carter, 5. Roston Chase, 6. Sunil Ambris, 7. Jason Holder (c), 8. Ashley Nurse, 9. Kemar Roach, 10. Sheldon Cottrell, 11. Shannon Gabriel

Match Prediction
An interesting match awaits. Some rain is forecast in Dublin, which hopefully won’t impact the game too much.
Bangladesh will test the Windies at stages today, but the Windies with a game under their belt could come up on top. Bangladesh will have to prove to themselves that they can perform well away from home.
