RCB vs LSG Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 15 | RCB vs LKN Dream11 Prediction Today | Bengaluru Pitch Report

After a crazy weekend where Ajinkya Rahane wound back the clock and Rinku Singh produced one of the all-time great performances in T20 history, what on earth does Monday have in store? Mondays are typically more quiet than weekends, but with IPL 2023 dishing up some remarkable matches, anything is possible.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) return home after what was a missed opportunity in Kolkata last week. They had KKR in all sorts, but the absence of key death bowlers told as they leaked runs aplenty. How they respond today will be a good test of their credentials this season.

For Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), an opportunity awaits to move to three wins out of four matches. With the competition table shifting places with every passing game, getting two points on the board is vital even at this early stage of the season. Here, the key question will be how well the LSG attack can handle the excellent batting conditions.

IPL 2023 Match 15: RCB vs LSG Possible Playing XIs

Wanindu Hasaranga is available for RCB after the completion of Sri Lanka’s tour of New Zealand. Also, Wayne Parnell has been named as Reece Topley’s replacement, but may miss out on selection in this clash. Josh Hazlewood is expected to be fit for the April 14th match.

The likes of Anuj Rawat, Suyash Prabhudessai or Mahipal Lomror may be up for selection with the RCB middle order under the spotlight.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1. Faf du Plessis (c) (OS), 2. Virat Kohli, 3. Glenn Maxwell (OS), 4. Mahipal Lomror/Suyash Prabhudessai, 5. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 6. Shahbaz Ahmed, 7. Wanindu Hasaranga (OS), 8. David Willey (OS), 9. Karn Sharma, 10. Akash Deep, 11. Mohammed Siraj

Will LSG play Quinton de Kock? It is the headache the team management are faced with. If QdK plays, Marcus Stoinis may miss out as he is not being used with the ball.

Mark Wood missed the last game with the flu, so it remains to be seen if he is ready for this clash. Avesh Khan missed the last game, with his availability also TBC. Also, Amit Mishra was excellent against SRH, but there may be room for just the one legspinner on this ground.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1. KL Rahul (c), 2. Quinton de Kock (OS) (wk), 3. Kyle Mayers (OS), 4. Deepak Hooda, 5. Krunal Pandya, 6. Nicholas Pooran (wk), 7. Ayush Badoni, 8. Yash Thakur/Avesh Khan, 9. Mark Wood (OS), 10. Jaydev Unadkat, 11. Ravi Bishnoi

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

  • Virat Kohli made a triumphant return to the Chinnaswamy in the IPL. He hammered 82* off 49 balls against MI last week. Overall on this ground, Kohli has hit 2,844 runs at an average of 37.92 and strike rate of 140.72.
  • Faf du Plessis smashed 96 (64) against LSG last season. He has scored 66 runs off 45 balls against Ravi Bishnoi without dismissal. Against Krunal, the corresponding figures are 46 off 33 with one dismissal.
  • Cometh the hour, cometh Glenn Maxwell? He strikes at 171.17 in nine matches at the Chinnaswamy. He does have a century on this ground (113), but just 77 runs in his other eight knocks.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga took the second-most wickets in IPL 2022 (26). Out of these 26, 19 came between overs 7-15.
  • David Willey is coming off an excellent outing against KKR (2/16). Both of his wickets came in the powerplay, so his battle against the LSG top order will be vital.

Lucknow Super Giants:

  • KL Rahul loves playing against RCB. In 12 innings, he has struck 610 runs at an average of 76.25 and strike rate of 147.70. Also, Rahul has strong experience at this ground: 14 inns, 413 runs, avg. 37.55, SR 143.90.
  • Rahul has smashed 91 off 47 without dismissal against Mohammed Siraj.
  • Quinton de Kock also has good numbers at the Chinnaswamy. The left-hander has struck 463 runs at an average of 46.30 and strike rate of 147.45.
  • Krunal Pandya is coming off a superb all-round display against SRH (34 & 3/18). His battle with Glenn Maxwell today could be fascinating as he has had the better of him in the IPL: 35 balls, 42 runs, three dismissals.
  • LSG will be hoping Avesh Khan is fit. He has dismissed Virat Kohli twice in ten balls in the IPL.
  • Mark Wood has taken eight wickets in two matches so far in IPL 2023 and 19 wickets in his last eight T20s.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 2, RCB 2, LSG 0.
  • Krunal Pandya has kept Virat Kohli relatively quiet in the IPL. He has conceded just 79 runs off 80 balls against him (one dismissal).
  • Karn Sharma has dismissed Deepak Hooda twice in ten balls.
  • Dinesh Karthik averages just 15.44 with a strike rate of 127.52 in 19 innings on this ground.

M Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru Pitch Report and Weather

The same pitch for the RCB-MI clash will be used here. The conditions offered early swing and movement for the seam bowlers, before settling into a terrific batting surface. But, because it has been used, there may be some offer for the spinners in the middle.

A warm and clear evening is forecast.

GT vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 13

GT vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 13 | GT vs KOL Dream11 Prediction Today | Ahmedabad Pitch Report

Will Gujarat Titans (GT) make it three from three or will it be Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who build on their superb win over RCB? That is the question.

GT, as put perfectly by Tom Moody, have continued on brilliantly from their IPL 2022 campaign. Their bowlers have been as efficient as ever, while their calmness when chasing is a sight to behold. This being a day game limits the chasing advantage somewhat, so it will be interesting to see how the Titans perform in such conditions.

For KKR, the focus will be on the top order. It has wilted against both Punjab and Bangalore so far, with the lower order, particularly against RCB, firing in stunning fashion. Now, they play arguably the best attack out of the three, so a big test awaits in providing enough runs to complement a very decent attack.

IPL 2023 Match 13: GT vs KKR Possible Playing XIs

Gujarat Titans are settled. Depending on whether they bat or bowl first, they can substitute Vijay Shankar (or a similar player) for a bowler.

Gujarat Titans: 1. Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 2. Shubman Gill, 3. Sai Sudharsan, 4. Hardik Pandya (c), 5. David Miller (OS), 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7. Rashid Khan (OS), 8. Alzarri Joseph (OS), 9. Josh Little (OS), 10. Yash Dayal, 11. Mohammed Shami

Kolkata Knight Riders are coming off an excellent win against RCB. More will be expected of their top order, however, who were bailed out by the magnificent Shardul Thakur.

Jason Roy, who was picked up by KKR for 2.8cr, could play. But for whom? Tim Southee could make way for a domestic seamer or Suyash Sharma.

Expect Venkatesh Iyer to be either the player who starts (batting first) or is substituted in (bowling first).

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk) (OS), 2. Mandeep Singh/Jason Roy (OS), 3. Venkatesh Iyer, 4. Nitish Rana (c), 5. Rinku Singh, 6. Andre Russell (OS), 7. Shardul Thakur, 8. Sunil Narine (OS), 9. Umesh Yadav, 10. Tim Southee (OS)/Vaibhav Arora/Suyash Sharma, 11. Varun Chakravarthy

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Gujarat Titans:

  • Shubman Gill loves batting on this ground. He has hit a T20I century, Test century and 63 (33) in the IPL so far in 2023.
  • In five T20s at Ahmedabad, Gill has scored 286 runs at an average of 95.33 and strike rate of 152.13.
  • Sai Sudharsan announced himself to IPL 2023 with a solid 62* (48) in the last match against Delhi. How he counters KKR’s off-spinners will be key.
  • David Miller when chasing since the start of 2022 (franchise T20s): 28 inns, 629 runs, avg. 48.40, SR 138.2.
  • Hardik Pandya has an outstanding record against KKR. In 11 innings, the GT captain has scored 366 runs at an average of 61.00 and strike rate of 173.46. This includes 67 (49) last season.
  • Hardik has scored 56 off 37 against Narine (no dismissal), 21 off 19 against Chakravarthy (no dismissal), 29 off 18 against Russell (one dismissal), 35 off 20 against Umesh (no dismissal).
  • Rashid Khan is in wicket-taking form. He has five in three matches in IPL 2023. GT have used Rashid later in the innings, and expect them to do so again given he has had the better of Andre Russell in franchise T20s: 30 balls, 33 runs, three dismissals.
  • Mohammed Shami will be key against KKR’s shaky top order. He has 12 wickets in as many matches against the franchise, striking every 23 balls.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • Andre Russell has dominated Mohammed Shami in the IPL. He has smashed 88 off 35 balls against him, dismissed once.
  • Russell scored 48 (25) against GT last season, and threatened to take the game away. He also took 4/5, taking cheap wickets in the final over.
  • Jason Roy hit 245 runs in the recent PSL at an average of 40.83 and strike rate of 166.67. He has hit 45 off 34 against Rashid Khan in all T20s (one dismissal).
  • Hardik Pandya has a good record against all KKR bowlers except Tim Southee. The Kiwi has dismissed Pandya thrice in 30 balls in T20s, whilst conceding just 38.
  • Shardul Thakur is coming off one of the great performances. His 68 (29) turned the game against RCB. He also took 1/15.
  • Varun Chakravarthy also had a blinder vs RCB. He has started IPL 2023 very well with 4/15 and 1/26.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 1, GT 1, KKR 0.
  • Wriddhiman Saha has scored 105 off 68 balls against Umesh Yadav, with two dismissals.
  • Watch out for Rinku Singh. The left-hander will be key against GT’s excellent battery of seamers. He scored 46 (33) against RCB.
  • Sunil Narine has taken six wickets in four T20s on this ground at an average of 18.17 and economy of 6.81.
  • Hardik Pandya in T20s on this ground: 158 runs (avg. 26.33, SR 132.77) and nine wickets (avg. 20.10, SR econ. 6.48).

Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad Pitch Report and Weather

It was a true batting surface on the opening night of IPL 2023, where Gujarat chased Channei’s 178 with four balls to spare. Earlier this year, India smashed 234 against New Zealand, where Shubman Gill hit a brilliant ton. Expect another good batting pitch early in the tournament.

A very hot afternoon is forecast, with temperatures nearing 40 degrees.

The El Clasico of the Indian Premier League is here. Mumbai Indians take on Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium, with both teams keen to pick up vital two points in the context of IPL 2023.

MI lost their last game convincingly against Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight wickets, with their bowlers struggling for impact. Also, they would want a better show from their batters, particularly their captain Rohit Sharma at the top. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings won their previous game by 12 runs against Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground. They will look to carry on their winning run, but how their seam attack fares at the batting-friendly Wankhede remains to be seen.

Match Details

IPL 2023 Match 12: MI vs CSK Possible Playing XIs

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma (c), 2. Ishan Kishan (wk), 3. Cameron Green (OS), 4. Suryakumar Yadav, 5. Tilak Varma, 6. Nehal Wadhera, 7. Tim David (OS), 8. Hrithik Shokeen, 9. Arshad Khan, 10. Piyush Chawla, 11. Jofra Archer (OS)

Chennai Super Kings: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Devon Conway (OS), 3. Moeen Ali (OS), 4. Ben Stokes (OS), 5. Ambati Rayudu, 6. Ravindra Jadeja, 7. Shivam Dube, 8. MS Dhoni (c & wk), 9. Mitchell Santner (OS), 10. Deepak Chahar, 11. Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Mumbai Indians:

  • Rohit Sharma has been in poor form in the IPL for a while now. However, he is a class player and will look to bounce back. Against CSK, Rohit has 770 runs at a 27.50 average and 125.40 strike rate in the IPL.
  • Suryakumar Yadav vs CSK since 2018: 287 runs, avg. 35.87 & 128.12 SR. SKY is going through a rough patch but is a match-winner in this format. A good knock might just be around the corner.
  • Tilak Varma has been one of the best batters in the league since his debut last year. In the 15 innings, the Southpaw has 481 runs at a 43.72 average and a strike rate of 137.82 in the IPL. He also played a fine knock of 84 runs off just 46 deliveries against RCB with the help of nine fours and four maximums.
  • Tim David is one of the most explosive T20 batters in world cricket. In 2023, David has a strike rate of 179.16 and a balls-per-boundary ratio of 4.50 in the last four overs. CSK’s bowling will also suit him.
  • Jofra Archer doesn’t need any introduction. He is a proper match-winner. Archer has scalped seven wickets at a 17.71 average and an economy rate of 6.20 against Chennai Super Kings.
  • Most of the CSK batters struggle against high pace. Expect Jofra to exploit this weakness.

Chennai Super Kings:

  • Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the most beautiful stroke-makers in world cricket. He is the highest run-scorer (149) of the season so far. However, Gaikwad has been dismissed for a duck twice in five innings against Mumbai Indians.
  • Devon Conway played a superb knock of 47 runs in 29 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums. He is a good player of spin and can provide a rapid start in the powerplay.
  • Moeen Ali won Man of the Match award against LSG in the last game for his brilliant all-round show. With the willow, he made 19 off 13 balls and later took four wickets with the ball. He is a must-pick in the fantasy team.
  • Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t performed according to the expectations in the two games so far. However, his performance has been decent at Wankhede Stadium of late. Since 2019, Jadeja has had a batting average of 75 and a strike rate of 151.51 in seven innings at this ground. With the ball, Jadeja has picked up six wickets and has an economy rate of 6.23.
  • Deepak Chahar can move the new ball, and the Wankhede surface often provides some movement early on. He also has 11 wickets at 20.54 balls apiece against Mumbai Indians.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 36, MI 21, CSK 15.
  • Ruturaj Gaikwad vs spin in middle overs (7-16) in the IPL: 327 runs, 36.33 avg, 127.73 SR and nine dismissals.

  • Moeen Ali has 13 wickets at a 21.53 avg & 6.02 eco against the LHBs in the IPL.
  • Jofra Archer needs four more wickets to complete 50 IPL wickets.

Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score at Wankhede in the last three years is 171. The teams batting first have won only 34.15% of the matches here. Expect the pitch to provide some movement early on before becoming a belter. Plenty of big shots are well on the cards due to short boundaries.

The temperature is expected to be around 32° C during the game.

RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 11 | RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction Today | Guwahati Pitch Report

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will battle against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the important, 11th match of IPL 2023. Both teams lost their last games against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT), respectively.

After winning the first game convincingly, RR lost by five runs in a high-scoring encounter despite a valiant effort from Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel.

Meanwhile, DC are having a tough time in the competition. They have lost both games this season so far. DC would want a better performance from their top order in the upcoming matches. They are a quality side, so expect them to rectify their mistakes in a vital opportunity to pick up their first win.

Match Details

  • Location: Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

IPL 2023 Match 11: RR vs DC Possible Playing XIs

Despite losing their last game, Rajasthan Royals might play Dhruv Jurel over the struggling Devdutt Padikkal. Otherwise, they can include Dhruv Jurel in place of KM Asif if they bat first and later substitute one of the batters with a bowler.

Rajasthan Royals: 1. Jos Buttler (OS), 2. Yashasvi Jaiswal, 3. Sanju Samson (c & wk), 4. Devdutt Padikkal/Dhruv Jurel, 5. Shimron Hetmyer (OS), 6. Riyan Parag, 7. Jason Holder (OS), 8. R Ashwin, 9. Trent Boult (OS), 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. KM Asif

Delhi Capitals might bring in Rovman Powell for Rilee Rossouw. Khaleel Ahmed can also replace Aman Hakim Khan.

Delhi Capitals: 1. David Warner (OS & c), 2. Prithvi Shaw, 3. Mitchell Marsh (OS), 4. Sarfaraz Khan, 5. Abishek Porel (wk), 6. Rovman Powell (OS), 7. Axar Patel, 8. Kuldeep Yadav, 9. Anrich Nortje (OS), 10. Khaleel Ahmed, 11. Mukesh Kumar

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Rajasthan Royals:

  • Jos Buttler is the best T20 batter in world cricket at the moment. He has accumulated 304 runs at an average of 33.77 and a strike rate of 171.75 against Delhi Capitals in the IPL. The English captain has also made a fifty and a century.
  • Buttler has scored 45 off 29 off Khaleel Ahmed with one dismissal.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal has 323 runs at a 26.91 average and 135.14 in the IPL since 2022. He has provided good support to Jos Buttler at the top. Expect him to continue his excellent run.
  • Sanju Samson in IPL 2023: 55(32) vs SRH & 42(25) vs PBKS. He has looked in decent touch with the willow in the two games. Overall, Sanju has hit 286 runs at a 138.83 strike rate against Delhi Capitals.
  • Trent Boult has snared 11 wickets at an average of 20.18 and a strike rate of 16.36 against Delhi Capitals in the IPL. He will look to build on this impressive record. However, Boult didn’t have a great game in Guwahati last time.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is a consistent wicket-taker in the league. He has taken the most number of wickets (171) in the IPL. Chahal also has 17 scalps at a strike rate of 21.23 against Delhi Capitals.

Delhi Capitals:

  • David Warner vs Rajasthan Royals in the IPL: 469 runs, 36.07 avg., SR 128.14. He has also amassed four half-centuries. However, Warner should be a bit cautious against Trent Boult early in the innings.
  • Prithvi Shaw looked in poor touch in the first two games. His record against Rajasthan Royals is not great either. He has a mediocre average of 20.62 and a strike rate of 129.92 against RR.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal has dismissed Prithvi Shaw twice in 21 balls. Shaw has struck at 195.23 against the leg-spinner. Also, 63% of Shaw’s dismissals against pace since IPL 2021 have been against short balls.
  • Mitchell Marsh hasn’t exactly fired with the bat so far. His scores in the two games read 0(1) vs LSG & 4(4) vs GT. However, Marsh is a quality batter, particularly against the speedsters. DC would want him to counter the highly-skilled GT pacers today.
  • Axar Patel has been DC’s best batter of the season so far. He has looked in good nick with the willow. While Axar didn’t bowl in the last game, expect him to make an impact with the ball too.
  • Kuldeep Yadav has snared seven wickets at a strike rate of 21.42 and an economy rate of 6.96 against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. However, Jos Buttler has a strike rate of 163.63 (one dismissal), and Sanju Samson strikes at 125.80 (no outs) against him in the IPL.

  • Prithvi Shaw vs Trent Boult in the IPL: 28 runs, 112 batting SR and 3 dismissals (25 balls). Shaw is already struggling against pace, and Boult might make his life difficult further at Guwahati.
  • David Warner requires 26 more runs to complete 6000 IPL runs.

Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score in the last three years here is 149. The teams batting first have won 63.64% of matches.

Will Liam Livingstone play in IPL 2023?

Cricket News: Will Liam Livingstone play in IPL 2023? | Update on Liam Livingstone for Punjab Kings in IPL 2023

Punjab Kings’ middle-order batsman Liam Livingstone is yet to receive a fitness clearance from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which continues to prevent his participation from the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

It is not expected that Livingstone will miss the whole of IPL 2023, but is rather awaiting the clearance. When asked by a fan when he will return, Livingstone replied “soon”.

The 29-year-old suffered an ankle injury during a Test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in December 2022. He has been out of cricketing action since then and was slated to mark his return by turning up for the PBKS in the IPL. He already missed the opening game of the season in which the team defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and also missed the side’s encounter against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati.

Livingstone was an important member of the Punjab squad last year. He was roped in by the franchise for Rs 11.5 crore in the mega auction prior to the 15th season of the league. The batsman scored 437 runs in 14 matches at an average of 36.42 and strike rate of 182.08. He also rolled over his shoulders occasionally, adding the important all-round element in the PBKS XI. Livingstone picked six wickets in the season, including a three-wicket haul as well.

The player was widely expected to don additional responsibility with the bat for the team in the absence of his fellow countryman Jonny Bairstow this year. His absence gives a pretty inexperienced look to the Punjab middle-order with a lot of pressure falling onto their newly-acquired all-rounder duo of Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran.

However, it is also an opportunity for a certain Shahrukh Khan to finally step up and deliver the required goods for Punjab. The Tamil Nadu big hitter was acquired by PBKS for Rs 9 crore ahead of IPL 2022 but he aggregated only 117 runs at a strike rate of 108.33 in eight games and ended up being dropped from XI. Will Shahrukh fill Livingstone’s role in the coming games? The youngster, much like the Englishman, is a fine leg-spinner as well.

Kane Williamson to miss ODI World Cup 2023, set to undergo ACL surgery

Cricket News: Kane Williamson to miss ODI World Cup 2023, set to undergo ACL surgery | Will Kane Williamson play the ODI World Cup?

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee whilst fielding in the Gujarat Titans’ (GT) first game of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The injury rules him out of contention of participating in the One Day International (ODI) World Cup scheduled to be held in India in October-November this year. It is a massive blow for New Zealand as Williamson had led the Kiwis to the finals in the previous edition of the competition in 2019.

“I’ll be doing everything I can to get back on the field as soon as possible” – Williamson

Williamson will undergo a surgery once in the next three weeks once the swelling around his knee reduces. He is back in New Zealand now. “Naturally it’s disappointing to get such an injury, but my focus now is on having the surgery and starting rehab. It’s going to take some time, but I’ll be doing everything I can to get back on the field as soon as possible,” Williamson was quoted in a report by ESPNcricinfo.

Tom Latham is almost certain to take over the leadership mantle from Williamson for the foreseeable future, possibly even in the World Cup. The southpaw had captained the Kiwis during their tour to India earlier this year.

“We haven’t given up hope that he might be right but at this stage it does look unlikely. Our first thoughts are with Kane at the moment, it’s a tough time for him, it’s not an injury you expect. It hits you pretty hard,” New Zealand coach Gary Stead mentioned in a report by the aforementioned website.

Williamson will be a big miss for the Kiwis in the tournament, considering that he averages 56.94 with two centuries and three half-centuries in 22 innings in the ODI World Cups. He has had a key role to play in the team’s runners-up finishes in the previous two editions of the tournament.

How will New Zealand cope without Williamson in the World Cup in India? Let us know by tweeting @cric_blog.

LSG vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 10 | LKN vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today | Lucknow Pitch Report

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a highly-anticipated clash. Both teams lost their last game and would want to put on a better show this time around. LSG, who won their first game by 50 runs, were handed a defeat by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 12 runs at Chennai, while SRH were on the wrong end of a 72-run hammering at the hands of the Royals.

SRH’s regular captain Aiden Markram will be back for the game. His availability will strengthen the team and also boost their confidence. They have the talent to bounce back, but will have to play well against an LSG team that has shown strong signs they will be there challenging for the playoffs yet again.

An even-fought game is well on the cards at Lucknow.

IPL 2023 Match 10: LSG vs SRH Possible Playing XIs

  • Rahul has scored 93 runs off 79 balls against Bhuvneshwar Kumar with one dismissal.
  • Quinton de Kock will be playing his first game of the season. The Southpaw has a decent record against SRH: 372 runs at a 37.20 average and a strike rate of 130.98. He has also made three fifties against the Orange Army.
  • Kyle Mayers scores in the first two games read: 73 (38) vs DC & 53 (22) vs CSK. He is in sublime touch this season. Mayers can also chip in a few overs if required.
  • Mark Wood is bowling rockets at the moment. In the first two matches, Wood has snared eight wickets at a magnificent average of 7.88 and a strike rate of 6.00 so far. It includes a five-for in LSG’s opening rubber against Delhi Capitals.
  • Ravi Bishnoi has looked reasonably well with the ball so far. In the first game, he scalped two wickets and three wickets in the second game. Overall, Bishnoi has taken seven wickets at an average of 13.57 and an economy rate of 6.33 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Rahul Tripathi at No. 3 in the IPL: 834 runs, 30.88 average & 146.83 strike rate. He has amassed as many as five fifties in that batting position. Expect another good outing for him against LSG.

  • Harry Brook has had a tough time in his debut IPL game against Rajasthan Royals. But he is a quality player and will be eager to bounce back. In 51 T20s last year, Brook scored 1,181 runs at an average of 32.81 and strike rate of 152.19.
  • Umran Malik is one of the most exciting pacers in world cricket at the moment. He can trouble the LSG batters with his pace in the middle overs. The likes of Krunal Pandya and Nicholas Pooran have found it onerous to counter high pace in the past.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 1, LSG 1, SRH 0.

KKR sign Jason Roy for Rs 2.8 crore

Cricket News: KKR sign Jason Roy for Rs 2.8 crore | Kolkata Knight Riders pick up Jason Roy for IPL 2023

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed English opener Jason Roy as a replacement for Rs 2.8 crore as they deal with the absence of two of their high-profile players – skipper Shreyas Iyer and Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Ak Hasan. Roy previously went unsold at the auction in Kochi in December at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

So far, Roy’s limited participation in the IPL has been quite conspicuous despite his reputation of being one of the most destructive and consistent openers in limited-overs cricket over the years. He has played only 13 IPL matches since his first appearance in the league back in 2017 for the now defunct Gujarat Lions.

Roy averages 29.91 with a strike rate of 129.02 in these IPL games. However, he will be expected to shoulder greater responsibility and possibly even play an important role for KKR in a campaign when they have to work their way around Iyer’s injury. The India batting star holds that batting unit together as he has the ability to play the long innings around whom others can come and deliver their short, impactful knocks.

The KKR batting wore a pretty inexperienced look lacking both quality and experience in their opening game of the season against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali last Saturday. Their top-order comprised Afghan wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Punjab batsman Mandeep Singh with skipper Nitish Rana, Anukul Roy and Venkatesh Iyer to follow the duo.

Roy will add a ton lot of strength to the batting unit with his flair and dynamism. He has a natural boundary-hitting ability that is tough to replicate and the 32-year-old’s quick starts will set the base for the likes of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine to fire with the bat later on. Moreover, he will arguably relish the opportunity to play in the batting-friendly track that the Eden Gardens often dishes out.

KKR vs RCB Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 9

KKR vs RCB Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 9 | KOL vs RCB Dream11 Prediction Today | Eden Gardens Pitch Report

The IPL returns to Eden Gardens, and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) need a happy homecoming. Their flaws were on display against Punjab Kings, with a focus now on rectifying those in an important early-season clash against the confident Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

RCB have won five of their past seven games against KKR. Here is the perfect opportunity for Faf du Plessis’ team to add to that. Mohammed Siraj was back to his powerplay best against Mumbai Indians, while du Plessis and Virat Kohli reminded us of just how good they are. However, how RCB deal with their injury concerns – now including Reece Topley – is a big test of their credentials.

For KKR, how will they reduce their reliance on Andre Russell? With Shreyas Iyer not available, and Jason Roy not yet with the squad, the onus is on a relatively inexperienced top order to set a platform for the likes of Russell, Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh. Indeed, that is easier said than done against Siraj and co. on what is expected to be a pacy Eden Gardens pitch, but KKR have seamers of their own who can cause damage.

IPL 2023 Match 9: KKR vs RCB Possible Playing XIs

In the last match, KKR substituted Varun Chakravarthy for Venkatesh Iyer after bowling first. They may implement the same strategy here.

Andre Russell is set to play his 100th IPL match. His fellow West Indian Sunil Narine will play his 150th.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Mandeep Singh, 2. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), 3. Anukul Roy, 4. Venkatesh Iyer, 5. Nitish Rana (c), 6. Andre Russell, 7. Sunil Narine, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Varun Chakravarthy, 10. Umesh Yadav, 11. Tim Southee

David Willey is likely to come in for Reece Topley. Rajat Patidar is out of IPL 2023. If they bat first, they may bring in Suyash Prabhudessai for one of the bowlers, i.e. Siraj, and then sub the seamer in for the second innings.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1. Faf du Plessis (c), 2. Virat Kohli, 3. Glenn Maxwell, 4. Michael Bracewell, 5. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 6. Shahbaz Ahmed, 7. Harshal Patel, 8. Akash Deep, 9. David Willey, 10. Karn Sharma, 11. Mohammed Siraj

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • A lot rests on Andre Russell. He has an unbelievable record against RCB, with 364 runs in 12 matches at an average of 45.50 and strike rate of 208. He also has ten wickets.
  • Nitish Rana has solid numbers against RCB. The captain has struck 231 runs in nine innings at an average of 33.00 and strike rate of 144.38. He also has similar stats at Eden Gardens: 14 inns, 464 runs, avg. 34.62, SR 140.19.
  • Rana has faced 21 balls against Mohammed Siraj and strikes at 157.1. He has been dismissed once, so this could be an interesting battle today.
  • Venkatesh Iyer vs RCB: 3 inns, 77 runs, avg. 38.50, SR 108.45.
  • Virat Kohli has a strike rate of just 103.1 in the IPL against Sunil Narine (101 off 98, three dismissals). Narine also has the most wickets of any bowler at Eden Gardens, with 56 in 44 innings at a strike rate of 18.29.
  • Umesh Yadav against RCB’s openers promises to be a great watch. He has dismissed du Plessis once in 15 balls, conceding 12. Also, Umesh has dominated Glenn Maxwell in T20s, with total figures of 4/31 in 28 deliveries.
  • Tim Southee also has good numbers against Faf, with total figures of 2/27 off 16 balls in T20s.

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

  • Virat Kohli has a great record against Umesh (150 runs off 85 balls, three dismissals), but early movement at Eden Gardens makes Yadav a dangerous customer. If Virat gets going, watch out.
  • Virat has the most runs in KKR-RCB matches (786) at an average of 34.17 and strike rate of 128.64. He also loves batting at Kolkata, with 471 runs on this ground (avg. 42.82, SR 128.34).
  • Faf du Plessis was man of the match against Mumbai Indians with a 43-ball 73. KKR is one of Faf’s favourite opponents, with 432 runs at an average of 39.27 and strike rate of 131.71.
  • Interestingly, du Plessis has a poor past record at Eden Gardens: 7 inns, 108 runs, avg. 15.43, SR 131.71.
  • Glenn Maxwell has smashed 84 runs off 43 balls against Southee in all T20s (three dismissals). But, his poor record against Umesh (mentioned above) and Sunil Narine (4/93 off 84 balls) is something for him to overcome.
  • Mohammed Siraj was superb in the powerplay against MI. But, RCB may also look to use him against Andre Russell. He has bowled 18 deliveries to the West Indian, dismissing him once whilst conceding just 22.
  • Siraj has taken nine wickets in as many matches against KKR at an average of 24.33 and economy of 7.22.
  • Harshal Patel has dismissed Andre Russell twice in 26 balls, conceding a respectable 35. Harshal has 12 career wickets in ten matches vs KKR (SR 17.50) and nine wickets in seven matches at Eden Gardens (SR 17.33).

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 31, KKR 17, RCB 14.
  • Andre Russell’s batting record at Eden Gardens: 25 inns, 700 runs, avg. 38.89, SR 199.43.
  • Virat Kohli has scored 67 off 42 against Shardul Thakur in the IPL.
  • Faf du Plessis in T20s in 2023: 13 inns, 482 runs, avg. 40.17, SR 146.50.
  • Umesh takes one wicket every 24 deliveries on average on this ground. Can he improve on this?
  • Karn Sharma at Eden Gardens: 6 matches, 8 wickets, avg. 19.50, SR 12.75.

Eden Gardens Kolkata Pitch Report and Weather

Expect the Eden Gardens surface to have something in it for the quicks, with early swing and dew on the menu. So, the captain who wins the toss is likely to chase.

There were two high-scoring matches on this ground in IPL 2022. Gujarat chased Rajasthan’s 188 with three balls to spare, before RCB scored 207 and beat LSG by 16 runs. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in October and November 2022, the average first innings score in seven matches was 176.14. The team batting first won four of these games.

A hot and clear night is forecast in Kolkata.

RCB start as favourites, but KKR cannot be counted out at home with their bowling attack. The chasing team is likelier to win, so the team batting first needs to aim for 180+ to feel competitive.

Twitter reactions: Fans joyful as Rishabh Pant watches DC vs GT in stadium

Cricket News: Twitter reactions: Fans joyful as Rishabh Pant watches DC vs GT in stadium | Rishabh Pant in the stands at Delhi

Star wicketkeeper-batsman and Delhi Capitals’ original skipper Rishabh Pant surprised fans by attending the team’s match against the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday. Pant, who has been out of cricketing action since suffering a horrific car accident on December 30, made a public appearance.

He was accompanied by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah in the stands. This comes after the Capitals hung his jersey on the top of their dugout in the inaugural game of the season against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Saturday.

Fans react to Rishabh Pant watching IPL in the stadium

Here is how Twitterati reacted to Pant’s return to the stadium.

Delhi, however, succumbed to their second straight loss as the Gujarat Titans defeated them by six wickets. The home team put up 162/8 in the first innings with David Warner scoring 37 off 32 and Sarfaraz Khan taking 34 deliveries for his 30 runs. Axar Patel’s quick cameo of 36 runs helped them get to a challenging total but the Titans’ duo of Sai Sudarshan (62* off 48) and David Miller (31* off 16) ensured that the defending champions rounded off the chase comfortably.

Meanwhile, Pant’s returned thrilled a home crowd in an otherwise disappointing outing for the David Warner-led side. The Capitals will now head to Guwahati to face off against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 8th.
