LSG vs MI Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 37 | LKN vs MI Dream11 Prediction Today | Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians Key Players | Wankhede Pitch Report

Mumbai Indians became the first team to win five IPL titles. Less than two years later, they have become the first team in IPL history to lose their first seven matches. The general consensus was that they didn’t nail the mega auction – particularly from a bowling perspective – but seven defeats in a row is something not even the most passionate rival fan could have imagined.

After the great MS Dhoni wound back the clock to all-but-end Mumbai’s season at the halfway point, MI might look to their bench to freshen things up. Also, eyes will be on the struggling Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, whose opening partnership, which had the potential to dazzle, has barely sizzled.

Lucknow Super Giants have much more to play for. After beating MI last weekend, LSG then suffered defeat to RCB to leave them out of the top four for the time being. However, RCB’s very heavy defeat against SRH yesterday gives KL Rahul’s team the added incentive of a top four spot today on net run rate should they win this.

Wickets up top today will create doubts in the minds of MI. Also, if KL Rahul, who scored a century last week, can dominate MI again, Lucknow should be held in good stead. This is an opportunity against a struggling team to get a win on the board, and Lucknow will not want to let this opportunity slip.

Possible Playing 11

LSG are more settled, but they could look at Manish Pandey’s place in the team.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1. KL Rahul (c), 2. Quinton de Kock (wk), 3. Manish Pandey/Krishnappa Gowtham, 4. Deepak Hooda, 5. Krunal Pandya, 6. Ayush Badoni, 7. Marcus Stoinis, 8. Jason Holder, 9. Dushmantha Chameera, 10. Avesh Khan, 11. Ravi Bishnoi

MI could look at giving bench players a chance here, including Mayank Markande and Tim David.

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma (c), 2. Ishan Kishan (wk), 3. Dewald Brevis, 4. Suryakumar Yadav, 5. Tilak Varma, 6. Kieron Pollard/Tim David, 7. Hrithik Shokeen, 8. Jaydev Unadkat/Mayank Markande, 9. Daniel Sams, 10. Riley Meredith, 11. Jasprit Bumrah

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Lucknow Super Giants:

  • KL Rahul smashed a 60-ball 103* against MI last week. He averages 76.40 in 15 innings vs MI with seven 50+ scores. He also has excellent numbers at the Wankhede: 11 inns, 494 runs, avg. 49.40, SR 145.29.
  • Rahul has a solid record against Bumrah in the IPL: 124 runs off 99 balls at an average of 62. He has also scored 88 off 53 vs Unadkat with one dismissal.
  • Quinton de Kock struck four fours and one six in 13 deliveries vs MI last week. He scored 24 and looked good for more, before he was dismissed attempting a reverse sweep.
  • de Kock has solid numbers at the Wankhede: 12 inns, 437 runs, avg. 39.73, SR 139.62. Also, he has scored 53 off 36 without dismissal vs Unadkat.
  • Manish Pandey has struck five half-centuries in 21 innings vs MI. He averages 38.17 against them, and has a terrific record against Bumrah (66 off 34 deliveries, no dismissal).
  • Avesh Khan takes a wicket every 7.50 deliveries against MI (eight wickets in 10 overs). He took 3/30 against them last week, including the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis.
  • Jason Holder also enjoys playing MI. The seamer has taken seven wickets in three matches against them at a strike rate of 10.29. He dismissed Tilak Varma last week.
  • Dushmantha Chameera has dismissed Rohit Sharma six times in 32 deliveries in T20s. He has conceded just 33 runs in the process.

Mumbai Indians:

  • Suryakumar Yadav’s class has been a shining light in a dark season for MI. He has struck 232 runs in five matches in IPL 2022 at an average of 58.00 and strike rate of 158.64, including 37 off 27 vs Lucknow. His lowest score is 32 this season.
  • Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma have been the other positives for MI. Brevis is striking at 161.33 in IPL 2022, including a 13-ball 31 against Lucknow last week. Varma is MI’s highest run-scorer so far in IPL 2022: 234 runs, avg. 46.80, SR 140.11.
  • Is this the day Rohit Sharma finally fires? He has the most runs of any player in T20s at the Wankhede (1,951) at an average of 35.47 and strike rate of 135.02. His record vs Chameera will be in focus, as well as Avesh, who has figures of 2/11 off 13 balls vs Rohit.
  • Daniel Sams made his mark in the IPL in the last match with four wickets vs CSK. He will be key in the powerplay and middle overs – periods where MI need wickets today.
  • Jaydev Unadkat had a heartbreaking night vs CSK, but he bowled nicely against LSG last week. He took 2/32, and dismissed middle order players Marcus Stoinis and Deepak Hooda.
  • Jasprit Bumrah has taken just four wickets in seven matches this season, as teams look to see him off (econ. 7.51). He does not have favourable matchups against most of LSG’s players, so whether he can turn it around today remains to be seen. He has the class to.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Lucknow (199/4) beat Mumbai (181/9) with ease eight days ago.
  • Ravi Bishnoi has dismissed Suryakumar Yadav three times in four innings.
  • Avesh Khan and Jason Holder have both taken five wickets at the death this season. Given that MI are struggling in these overs, both seamers will be in the game in the crunch stages.
  • Mumbai have won eight of 14 matches at the Wankhede in the IPL since 2018.
  • MI are conceding 13.05 runs per over in the death overs in IPL 2022. The likes of Marcus Stoinis and Deepak Hooda are players to watch in the middle order for LSG.

Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals played out a high-scoring thriller a couple of nights ago at the Wankhede. Previously, the scores were relatively low on this ground compared to others in IPL 2022.

The average first innings score at the Wankhede is 167.29, which bumps up to 205.5 in the past two matches. The teams batting first have won the past three matches on this ground (Royals twice and Bangalore once).

Another clear night is forecast, with dew expected. So, expect the team who wins the toss to choose to bowl despite the recent results.

RCB vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 36

RCB vs SRH Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 36 | BLR vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today | Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

Two of the form teams of IPL 2022 meet in what promises to be a cracking, intruiguing clash. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who lost their opening match, have won five of their past six to sit pretty in the top four. Sunrisers Hyderabad, after losing their opening two in disappointing fashion, have won four in a row. So, it’s all set up for a beauty.

In terms of RCB, there is a different feel this season. Their middle order used to be a point of weakness, but this season it has rescued them from troublesome situations on numerous occasions. Dinesh Karthik has been key to that, but a special mention also to Shahbaz Ahmed who has been terrific in the middle. Combine this with Faf du Plessis’ return to form last match and the form of their bowlers – particularly Hazlewood – and RCB have plenty to be optimistic about.

As do SRH. Aiden Markram is producing the kind of cricket that his talent is crying out for, while Rahul Tripathi is showcasing just how good a player he is. Also, importantly, the bowling attack is working well as a unit, and the possible return of Washington Sundar today can only strengthen the men in orange. They currently sit outside the top four on net run rate, but a win today will enable them to overtake Lucknow. Big game.

Possible Playing 11

Anuj Rawat is out of form, so RCB could look to replace him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1. Faf du Plessis (c), 2. Anuj Rawat/Rajat Patidar/Mahipal Lomror, 3. Virat Kohli, 4. Glenn Maxwell, 5. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 6. Suyash Prabhudessai, 7. Shahbaz Ahmed, 8. Wanindu Hasaranga, 9. Josh Hazlewood, 10. Harshal Patel, 11. Mohammed Siraj

Washington Sundar missed the last two matches due to a split webbing in his hand. He is a chance of returning today.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Abhishek Sharma, 2. Kane Williamson (c), 3. Rahul Tripathi, 4. Aiden Markram, 5. Nicholas Pooran (wk), 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Marco Jansen, 8. J Suchith/Washington Sundar, 9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10. Umran Malik, 11. T Natarajan

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

  • Faf du Plessis is coming off a player of the match performance against LSG (96 off 64 balls). The RCB skipper has a middling record vs SRH (13 inns, 335 runs, avg. 27.92, SR 132.41) and will be looking to build on that today.
  • du Plessis has scored 53 off 43 against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the IPL (one dismissal). If Faf can get through the powerplay and middle overs, he often explodes between overs 12-16 (SR 145) and at the death (SR 200+).
  • Glenn Maxwell has looked good in this tournament without getting the really big score. He has struck 8* (2), 26 (11), 55 (34) and 23 (11) so far in IPL 2022. Also, he could be key with the ball as he has dismissed Kane Williamson twice in 16 deliveries in T20s (20 runs).
  • It is incredible to think that Virat Kohli has gone 100 innings across formats without a century. Also, he has scored just 78 runs in his last six innings. However, he has good numbers vs SRH that he will be looking to build on: 18 inns, 569 runs, avg. 35.56, SR 137.44.
  • Dinesh Karthik is having a dream season. He has added so much to RCB. He has scored 210 runs, has only been dismissed once, and is striking at 205.88.
  • Karthik only averages 18.69 in 20 career matches vs SRH, but he cannot be discounted in this sort of form. In fact, he has some good numbers against SRH’s key death bowlers: 74 off 51 vs Kumar (one dismissal) and 34 off 20 vs Natarajan (no dismissal).
  • Josh Hazlewood has taken 50 wickets in 30 T20s since the beginning of 2021 at an average of 16.4 and economy rate of 7.23. He took a brilliant 4/25 last match vs LSG, and he will be key again.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga has gone at 10 runs per over in his last two matches, but he remains key for RCB. Nine of his 11 wickets this season have been right-handers, and SRH have three right-handers in their top four.
  • Harshal Patel took 2/25 and 3/33 vs SRH last season. He dismissed Kane Williamson in one of the matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

  • Although Kane Williamson doesn’t have the best record against some of RCB’s current bowlers, he has an excellent record for SRH against RCB overall: 8 inns, 351 runs, avg. 58.50, SR 136.05.
  • Aiden Markram has smashed 190 runs at a strike rate of 150.79 this season. He has only been dismissed once, and has two unbeaten half-centuries to his name.
  • Rahul Tripathi has belted 161 runs at a strike rate of 189 in SRH’s four victories this season. Also, he has solid numbers vs RCB, with 244 runs in nine innings at an average of 40.67 and strike rate of 129.10.
  • SRH could look to use Bhuvneshwar Kumar when Glenn Maxwell walks into bat. The seamer has dismissed Maxwell twice in 25. deliveries in the IPL, whilst only conceding 24. He also has a good record vs Virat Kohli, with figures of 3/75 off 62 balls.
  • Overall, Bhuvneshwar has taken 16 wickets in 14 matches for SRH vs RCB at an average of 25.69 and economy rate of 7.80.
  • T Natarajan is SRH’s leading wicket-taker this season, with 12 scalps in six matches. His battle against RCB’s strong middle order will be fascinating to watch. He has five wickets in four matches vs RCB at an average of 22.00 and economy rate of 6.88.
  • Umran Malik has taken seven wickets in his last three matches, including a triple-wicket maiden in the final over against Punjab. He will also be key at the death with his pacey yorkers and slower balls.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 20, RCB 8, SRH 11, N/R 1.
  • Josh Hazlewood vs Kane Williamson in T20s: 12 deliveries bowled, 11 runs scored, one dismissal.
  • Mohammed Siraj has some good head-to-head records against SRH’s key players. He has dismissed Williamson twice in 24 deliveries in T20s for just 29 runs. Also, he has figures of 2/41 in 37 deliveries vs Rahul Tripathi.
  • Nicholas Pooran has been dismissed just twice so far this season (156 runs, SR 124.17). He is in some decent touch, as he scored three half-centuries in a row against India earlier this year.
  • Shahbaz Ahmed has struck 171 runs at a strike rate of 147 this season. He has walked out in pressure situations, including 62/4 (thrice), 42/3 and 75/4.
  • Tripathi and Markram combined have struck 242 runs against pace this season at an average of 121 and strike rate of 186. All other SRH players collectively average 21.5 at a strike rate of 117.

Brabourne Pitch Report and Weather

Brabourne Stadium has been a cracker for batting in this IPL. The average first innings score is 186.33, brought down due to Punjab’s horrible 115 all-out vs Delhi. The chasing team has won five of the nine matches.

Expect the captain who wins the toss to choose to chase with some dew possible. SRH have won all their matches while chasing.

KKR vs GT Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 35

KKR vs GT Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 35 | KOL vs GT Dream11 Prediction Today | Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans Key Players | DY Patil Pitch Report

It’s time for the miracle men once again. After Rahul Tewatia produced a finish for the ages against Punjab, Gujarat Titans sealed another incredible victory six days ago thanks to Rashid Khan and David Miller. Such an ability to deliver when it all seems lost has held the Titans in good stead so far, and they will be looking to further solidify their place in the top four.

“We could have probably lost four out of six [matches], and we’ve won five out of six,” Miller said after their victory over CSK. “The dice has definitely rolled onto our side.”

And how right he is. The Titans sit near the top of the IPL 2022 table despite their top order worries. They can go back to the top today, but it won’t be easy as they meet a side desperate to get back to winning ways. After a strong start to IPL 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders have lost three straight games to now sit outside the top four. A whole second-half of the season awaits, but defeat here will make it just that little bit more difficult to qualify given that places are at a premium in a 10-team league.

Possible Playing 11

Hardik Pandya is set to return after missing the CSK game due to a groin niggle.

Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill, 2. Matthew Wade/Rahmanullah Gurbaz/Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 3. Vijay Shankar/Sai Sudharsan, 4. Hardik Pandya (c), 5. David Miller, 6. Abhinav Manohar, 7. Rahul Tewatia, 8. Rashid Khan, 9. Lockie Ferguson, 10. Mohammed Shami, 11. Yash Dayal

Aaron Finch smashed a half-century last game so he should keep his place for KKR.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Aaron Finch, 2. Venkatesh Iyer, 3. Shreyas Iyer (c), 4. Nitish Rana, 5. Sheldon Jackson (wk), 6. Andre Russell, 7. Sunil Narine, 8. Pat Cummins, 9. Shivam Mavi, 10. Umesh Yadav, 11. Varun Chakravarthy

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Gujarat Titans:

  • GT’s top order performance is still reliant on Shubman Gill performing. He has made scores of 0, 13 and 7 since his 84 and 96. Given he was with KKR previously, he should have an understanding of their attack.
  • Gill averages 26.9 batting first in the IPL compared to 38.5 batting second.
  • Hardik Pandya is set to return, and he will be aiming to continue the kind of form he showed against RR last week. He scored a superb 52-ball 87*, part of 228 runs this season at an average of 76.00 and strike rate 136.52. Also, he loves playing KKR: 10 inns, 299 runs, avg. 59.80, SR 184.57.
  • Hardik has some excellent records against KKR’s bowlers. He has smashed 53 off 26 against Cummins without dismissal, 49 off 30 vs Narine without dismissal, 29 off 18 vs Russell (one dismissal) and 28 off 14 vs Umesh without dismissal.
  • David Miller is fresh off a match-winning 94* off 51 balls vs CSK. He will be key in taking down KKR’s spinners (he has scored 49 off 39 vs Narine without dismissal) as well as scoring big at the death.
  • Rashid Khan will be key, as always. Particularly against Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell. The KKR captain has been dismissed 14 times by legspin since IPL 2019 at an average of 17.35 and strike rate of 109.45. Against Russell, Rashid has taken 3/27 in 22 deliveries in T20 franchise cricket.
  • Rashid has taken six wickets in six matches this season (econ. 6.66) and takes a wicket every 23 deliveries on average vs KKR. Of course, there is the added threat of his batting, which was on show in the last match (40 off 21 balls).
  • Mohammed Shami is GT’s leading wicket-taker this season (8). He takes less than one wicket per match on average vs KKR, but has a good record vs Iyer (1/12 off 18 balls) and Finch (1/44 off 41 balls).

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • If Andre Russell can get past Rashid Khan, watch out. He has belted 81 runs off 31 deliveries against Shami in the IPL (one dismissal), and is striking 177.22 in IPL 2022 (179 runs).
  • Shreyas Iyer has scored the fifth-most runs in IPL 2022 (7 inns, 236 runs, avg. 39.33, SR 148.42). He has scored two half-centuries and has passed double-figures in every match so far.
  • Nitish Rana has been dismissed just once in 66 deliveries by Rashid Khan (75 runs). Two games ago, Rana struck a 36-ball 54. KKR will be hoping for something similar today.
  • If GT pick Wade, expect Sunil Narine to be used early. Narine, who has taken six wickets at an economy rate of 5.03 this season, has dismissed Wade four times in ODIs (for just 21 runs in 57 deliveries) and once in 10 deliveries in T20s (14 runs).
  • Can Umesh Yadav find some form against GT’s shaky top order? In the first four games, Umesh took six powerplay wickets at an economy rate of 5.18. Since then, he has gone wicketless in the powerplay and is conceding 8.43 per over.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Rashid Khan has dismissed Shreyas Iyer twice in 55 deliveries since the beginning of IPL 2019. He has only conceded 51 runs.
  • Lockie Ferguson is equal with Shami for most wickets for the Titans this season (8). He comes up against his former team today.
  • Pat Cummins’ economy rate is 12.00 this season – the worst among all bowlers who have bowled at least 10 overs in IPL 2022.
  • KKR have conceded 200+ twice in their past three games.

DY Patil Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score at the DY Patil is 171.25. The chasing team has won seven of the 12 matches, including a remarkable finish by MS Dhoni and Dwaine Pretorius a couple of nights ago for CSK vs MI.

However, 170 is often the magical score in this IPL. On the five occasions the team batting first scored 170+ at DY Patil, they won on four occasions.

A hot and clear day is forecast, with no issue of dew as it is a day game.

DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 34

DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 34 | DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction Today | Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals Key Players | Wankhede Pitch Report

COVID-hit Delhi Capitals hit the Punjab Kings for six last time out, and come into this game with confidence. Rajasthan Royals, courtesy of the brilliant Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal, have the opportunity to go top of the table today. So, the stakes are high in this mid-season clash.

Both teams have things going for them. For Delhi, their net run rate is now the best in the league after demolishing the Kings, and their bowling attack and opening batting combination is looking quite handy. For the Royals, the form of Hetmyer in addition to Buttler and Chahal is cause for optimism, and the Obed McCoy-Trent Boult combination in the pace attack could give them another dimension as they try keep teams quiet.

This match was originally scheduled for Pune, but has been moved to the Wankhede due to COVID-19 in the DC camp. If both teams are at their best, we will be treated to another thriller; perhaps the kind we saw in the RR-KKR match – one of the great IPL Matches in recent times.

Possible Playing 11

Both teams should stick with the same XI from their last match, unless there is injury or illness.

Delhi Capitals: 1. David Warner, 2. Prithvi Shaw, 3. Sarfaraz Khan, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Rovman Powell, 6. Lalit Yadav, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Kuldeep Yadav, 10. Khaleel Ahmed, 11. Mustafizur Rahman

Rajasthan Royals: 1. Jos Buttler, 2. Devdutt Padikkal, 3. Sanju Samson (c & wk), 4. Shimron Hetmyer, 5. Karun Nair, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. R Ashwin, 8. Trent Boult, 9. Obed McCoy, 10. Prasidh Krishna, 11. Yuzvendra Chahal

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Delhi Capitals:

  • David Warner is back to his best. The opener has smashed three half-centuries in a row, and has a strike rate of 152.80 in IPL 2022. This includes a 38-ball 66 on this ground six nights ago vs RCB.
  • If Warner can get through the powerplay, he could really get going. He has an excellent record against Yuzvendra Chahal in T20s: 76 balls faced, 128 runs scored, one dismissal, SR 168.4.
  • Prithvi Shaw is also in terrific touch. He has smashed 217 runs in six matches this season at an average of 36.16 and strike rate of 170.86. Also, he has good numbers at the Wankhede: 6 inns, 192 runs, avg. 32.00, SR 162.71.
  • However, Shaw averages just 18.29 in seven matches vs Royals. Boult has dismissed him three times in 18 balls, while Chahal has dismissed him twice in 18 deliveries, although Shaw has scored an impressive 39.
  • Rishabh Pant has outstanding numbers against the Royals: 7 inns, 300 runs, avg. 60.00, SR 164.84. He also has 300 runs at the Wankhede at an overall average of 37.50 and strike rate of 174.42.
  • After four wicketless matches, Axar Patel has taken three in his last two, including a great spell of 2/10 vs Punjab. He has taken four wickets in five matches vs RR since 2019, but only concedes 6.78 per over.
  • Axar has a good head-to-head record vs Sanju Samson: 60 deliveries, 67 runs conceded, two dismissals.
  • Khaleel Ahmed has taken 10 wickets in five matches this season, with at least one scalp in every match. He will be key against Jos Buttler today, as he has dismissed the great opener once in 15 deliveries whilst only conceding 20.
  • Kuldeep Yadav, who has taken 13 wickets in six matches this season, has figures of 2/36 in 35 deliveries in all T20s against Jos Buttler. Also, Kuldeep could be key against Hetmyer, who has scored just 30 runs in 35 deliveries against left-arm chinaman bowling in T20s, with two dismissals.

Rajasthan Royals:

  • What a season Jos Buttler is having. He is playing the aggressive anchor role perfectly, with 375 runs in six innings this season (SR 156.90) with two half-centuries and two centuries. Also, Buttler has strong numbers at the Wankhede: 22 inns, 626 runs, avg. 32.95, SR 146.95. Can he improve on some of the head-to-head stats against DC’s left-arm bowlers?
  • Sanju Samson averages just 23.40 vs Delhi, but his six-hitting against spin (SR of over 200 this season) will be key. While he has been dismissed twice by Axar in the IPL, he has never been dismissed by Kuldeep (39 off 31 balls).
  • Shimron Hetmyer’s strike rate of 179.83 is the third-highest among players with at least 200 runs this season. He comes up against his former franchise today, and he will be motivated to perform.
  • Hetmyer could look to go after Axar Patel. The West Indian averages 76 and strikes at 139 against left-arm orthodox in T20 franchise cricket.
  • Trent Boult has dismissed Warner twice in 45 deliveries in T20s, whilst only conceding 38 runs. He has also dismissed Shaw three times in 18 deliveries, conceding just 19 runs. His battle with the in-form DC openers will be key.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is having a dream season, where has won games for RR off his own bowling. Last match, he took a hat-trick, part of a little spell where he took a remarkable 5/2 off his last 1.1 overs.
  • Chahal has taken 17 wickets and is striking every 8.4 deliveries in IPL 2022.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 24, RR 12, DC 12.
  • Delhi have won six of the past seven matches between the teams.
  • R Ashwin has taken just the two wickets so far this season, but RR could use him to keep Warner quiet. Ashwin has dismissed Warner five times for 159 runs in 127 deliveries in T20s (econ. 7.54).
  • Rishabh Pant could be the crucial man to take on RR’s spin twins. He has scored 57 off 44 vs Chahal (one dismissal), but just the 18 off 18 vs Ashwin so far (no dismissal).
  • Shardul Thakur has dismissed Devdutt Padikkal three times in 19 deliveries in the IPL, whilst conceding only 17. However, Buttler has his measure, with 90 off 57 in all T20s (two dismissals).
  • Obed McCoy has figures of 2/47 in 34 deliveries against Rovman Powell in T20s. They could come up against each other in the late overs today.

Wankhede Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score at the Wankhede this season is 158.17. There has been a touch of slowness about the pitches on this ground in IPL 2022, with the likes of Dinesh Karthik able to break free the most.

The Royals won batting first at the Wankhede against Lucknow last week after scoring 165. Yuzvendra Chahal took 4/41. RCB then won batting first against Delhi after scoring 189/5.

170 could be the magical total here. There have been 17 scores of 170+ batting first on all grounds in IPL 2022, and the team batting first has won 12 of them.

Another clear and warm evening is forecast, with dew expected.

IPL 2022: Why Shivam Dube is firing for CSK

Cricket News: IPL 2022: Why Shivam Dube is firing for CSK | Key factors why Shivam Dube is firing in the 2022 Indian Premier League

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Shivam Dube’s form with the bat has been a talking point in the ongoing edition of the IPL. Dube has made everyone sit up and take notice with his destructive and authoritative batting.

In the midst of a shaky start to CSK’s IPL 2022 campaign, Shivam Dube’s batting form has been the bright spot for the defending champions.

As at 21 April, Dube has scored the most runs for Chennai; 226 in six matches at an average of 45.20 and strike rate of 168.65. He has a strike rate of 199.28 against the pacers while going after the spinners at 155.93. The left-hander has hit two half-centuries and is the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament at the moment behind Jos Buttler, KL Rahul, Faf du Plessis, Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya.

Dube has been an aggressive player with the bat in the domestic circuit but has not been able to replicate the same form at the IPL and international level for India.

That’s why before the start of the IPL 2022 season many questioned his selection at the price of Rs 4.00 crore.

In the nine matches in 2021 for Rajasthan Royals, Dube scored 230 runs at an average of 28.75. In 2020, turning out for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he made 129 in 11 matches.

YearMatchesRunsAverageStrike Rate
2021923028.75119.17
20201112918.43122.86

What went wrong for Shivam Dube in the earlier seasons?

Reputation plays a big part in sportsman’s life. When Dube burst onto the scene, he had the reputation of a power-hitter who can strike big and at a quick rate. That may have played with his mind because in the earlier seasons, his biggest problem was his tendency to try hit every ball hard and out of the ground. He used to swing his bat at everything, would often lose his balance, and cost him his wicket.

Promoted in the batting order by the CSK management this season, Dube has lived up to the expectations with his show of controlled aggression. With their top-order failing to click, the 28-year-old left-hander has held the innings together with consistent contributions. One of the hallmarks of Chennai Super Kings’ success has been the number of players who have come to the franchise and found their mojo. Dube is another.

What is Dube doing right this season?

The tall left-hander has worked a lot on the technical aspect of his game because that’s where he was lacking as a batter. One of the most crucial aspects of power-hitting is maintaining the balance and posture of the body. Earlier while attempting a big shot he used to lose his balance but now in this season he’s getting into good positions to play the big shots successfully.

The wagon wheel of Shivam Dube in this year’s IPL shows a vast improvement in his offside play and a big share of the credit should be given to CSK’s batting coach Mike Hussey.

The most important feature of his batting this year is that he’s choosing the right bowlers to target in a game instead of going after all the bowlers. With Dube, the aggression was always there but this season he has chanelled that aggression, and that’s helping with consistency.

He has matured with age and is playing straight, within the ‘V’. The timing of his shots has also improved and has been particularly severe on anything bowled on the middle-leg stump. He is thriving in the middle and death overs – a period where the great Kumar Sangakkara identified as Dube’s best time to bat.

Comparisons have already begun with Yuvraj Singh because much like the stylish left-handed former Indian player, Dube uses his long reach to great effect to hit sixes against the spinners.

It’s still early days in IPL 2022 but it’s clear that Shivam has indeed taken his game to the next level. He’s looking determined to do well and prove his critics wrong. CSK fans would be hoping that he continues the same run of form in the remaining games.

MI vs CSK Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 33

MI vs CSK Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 33 | MI vs CSK Dream11 Prediction Today | Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings Key Players | DY Patil Pitch Report

A match between these two teams has always had an impact on the top end of the table. Also, they have featured in many crunch matches, including Qualifiers and Finals. They have nine of the 14 IPL Titles between them. So, the fact that this a bottom-of-the-table clash is quite the scenario to get used to. It just feels weird.

Both franchises didn’t quite nail the mega auction, with Mumbai Indians in particular looking quite short on bowling. It has proven to be the case, with their paper-thin attack often going the distance. Indeed, it is a far cry from the brilliant preparation, planning and execution that has served them so well over the years.

For Chennai Super Kings, they tried to keep their core, but the absence of Deepak Chahar in particular has hurt dearly. After defeating RCB two games ago to get their season up and running, they suffered heartbreak against Gujarat Titans courtesy of David Miller and Rashid Khan after a win looked an almost certain event.

This edition of IPL’s El Classico is like no other, but it remains crucial. Both CSK and MI are desperate for a win, with the latter still winless after six matches. It is now or never for both teams, as CSK can go within four points of fourth and MI can start to build some confidence.

Possible Playing 11

Tymal Mills has struggled to keep the runs down, so MI could give Riley Meredith an opportunity.

Mumbai Indians: 1. Ishan Kishan (wk), 2. Rohit Sharma (c), 3. Dewald Brewis, 4. Tilak Varma, 5. Suryakumar Yadav, 6. Kieron Pollard, 7. Fabian Allen, 8. M Ashwin, 9. Jasprit Bumrah, 10. Tymal Mills/Riley Meredith, 11. Jaydev Unadkat

Devon Conway has left the IPL bubble for his wedding in South Africa. He is set to rejoin on April 24.

Also, CSK could look to play Dwaine Pretorius over Chris Jordan. Pretorius was impressive earlier this season.

Chennai Super Kings: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Robin Uthappa, 3. Moeen Ali, 4. Ambati Rayudu, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. MS Dhoni (wk), 7. Ravindra Jadeja (c), 8. Dwayne Bravo, 9. Chris Jordan/Dwaine Pretorius, 10. Maheesh Theekshana, 11. Mukesh Choudhary

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Mumbai Indians:

  • Cometh the hour, cometh Rohit Sharma? The MI captain has struggled this season (114 runs, avg. 19.00), and this has to be the day he delivers for his team. He has the most runs of any MI player vs CSK: 693 runs, avg. 31.50, SR 128.81.
  • However, Rohit has historically struggled at DY Patil Stadium. He has scored 82 runs in six innings on this ground at an average of 13.67.
  • Suryakumar Yadav has played just the four matches this season and is already MI’s highest run-scorer (200, avg. 66.66, SR 153.84). He has solid numbers against CSK (8 inns, 255 runs, avg. 36.43, SR 125.62), and strikes above 155 against Bravo, Jordan and Pretorius.
  • Dewald Brevis has been magnificent so far in IPL 2022. 18-year old Baby AB is striking at 172.05, and will come up against a CSK side today that can leak runs in key stages.
  • Kieron Pollard hasn’t quite been the same since his miracle knock against CSK around this time last year. The big West Indian, who recently announced his international retirement, could look at this game as an opportunity to go big. He has smashed 622 runs in 24 innings vs CSK at an average of 36.59 and strike rate of 169.95.
  • Also, Pollard strikes at 190 vs Jadeja, as well as 155+ against Bravo, Jordan and Pretorius in T20s.
  • Jasprit Bumrah has gone wicketless in four of the six matches so far in IPL 2022. MI desperately need their main man to get in the wickets in this match.
  • Bumrah has dismissed Uthappa twice in 36 deliveries for 52 runs, Rayudu twice in 33 deliveries for 48 runs and Dube twice in 17 deliveries for 10 runs.

Chennai Super Kings:

  • Ruturaj Gaikwad finally stamped his mark in the last match (73 off 48 vs GT). He smashed a cracking 88* vs MI in leg two of IPL 2021, which included a memorable sweep off Bumrah. He has scored 21 off 10 against MI’s main bowler.
  • Shivam Dube is having a terrific season. He is CSK’s leading run-scorer so far (226 runs, avg. 45.20, SR 168.65). With his form, he is capable of taking down a struggling MI attack, particularly in the middle and death overs.
  • Moeen Ali struck 58 off 36 balls vs MI in India last season, which included five fours and five sixes. Moeen is struggling so far this season (87 runs, avg. 17.40), so it will be interesting to see if today is his day.
  • Ravindra Jadeja averages just 12.86 with the bat vs MI. However, he has a decent record vs Bumrah (47 off 36 balls, one dismissal). Given that MI’s other bowlers are struggling, Jadeja is capable of improving on this record.
  • Jadeja has taken 18 wickets in 23 innings for CSK vs MI at an average of 29.28 and economy of 8.78. These aren’t great head-to-head stats, but Jadeja is the kind of player who can deliver on the day.
  • There is a case to employ Dwayne Bravo early to Rohit Sharma. CSK’s leading wicket-taker this season (10) has dismissed Rohit five times in 72 deliveries in the IPL for a total of 82 runs. Also, Bravo has an impressive 30 wickets in 19 matches for CSK vs MI (avg. 17.50, econ. 7.91).
  • Maheesh Theekshana has been terrific in the powerplay this season (four wickets in three matches). However, MI average 148 vs finger spin in IPL 2022, so it will be interesting to see how he fares today.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 34, MI 20, CSK 14.
  • Ishan Kishan is striking at just 117.17 this season. His strike rate in five innings vs CSK isn’t much better at 127.82, but he does average 42.50 against them (170 runs).
  • Tilak Varma in IPL 2022: 6 inns, 183 runs, avg. 36.60, SR 147.58.
  • Ambati Rayudu is coming off a good 31-ball 46 vs GT, and has strong numbers for CSK vs MI: 10 inns, 256 runs, avg. 36.57, SR 142.22.
  • There is a strong case for CSK to pick Dwaine Pretorius today. He took four wickets in two matches earlier this season, where he conceded just 6.80 per over in the middle overs and 10 in the death overs.
  • Robin Uthappa career numbers vs MI: 26 inns, 567 runs, avg. 24.65, SR 124.89.

DY Patil Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score is 172.73 on this ground in IPL 2022. Out of the 11 matches at DY Patil this season, the team batting has first has scored more than 170 on five occasions, winning four of them.

In fact, this is a similar trend throughout the tournament thus far. There have been 17 scores of 170+ batting first in IPL 2022, and the team batting first has won 12 of them.

Another clear and warm evening is forecast, with dew expected.

DC vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 32 | DC vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Today | Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

We had all hoped it wouldn’t, but it has. COVID-19 has breached the IPL 2022 bio-bubble, and everyone is on high alert to ensure there is no repeat of 2021. Delhi Capitals have been affected, with Mitch Marsh in hospital as a precaution after physio Patrick Farhart and other support staff tested positive for the virus.

So, how well the Capitals can put all that to the side will be key in today’s crucial match in Brabourne, moved from Pune. They currently sit third-from-bottom with four points, but have played the least number of matches so far, so the opportunity is there to catch up. Against RCB, however, disaster caught up to them after they had them in all sorts of trouble at 92/5 with du Plessis, Kohli and Maxwell all back in the hut. They couldn’t finish the job as Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed ran riot, and the Capitals need to avoid that today.

In terms of the batting, David Warner’s form is a plus, while Prithvi Shaw can fire at any moment. As can Rishabh Pant, who has only shown glimpses. However, more is required outside these three.

And similar applies to the Punjab Kings. Their win-loss pattern continued last time out, with a disappointing defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their boom or bust batting went bust in that contest, with only Liam Livingstone providing any meaningful contribution. So the question begs: which Kings team will show up with bat and ball today?

Possible Playing 11

Mitch Marsh is unavailable for this match due to COVID-19. Sarfaraz Khan could slot into the number three spot, but DC also have the options of Tim Seifert and India U19 captain Yash Dhull.

Delhi Capitals: 1. Prithvi Shaw, 2. David Warner, 3. Sarfaraz Khan/Yash Dhull/Tim Seifert, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Lalit Yadav, 6. Rovman Powell, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Kuldeep Yadav, 10. Mustafizur Rahman, 11. Khaleel Ahmed

Mayank Agarwal is considered a good chance of playing after missing the previous match with a toe injury. Also, Odean Smith is conceding 11.86 runs per over this season, so Punjab could replace him with a domestic all-rounder and find room for Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

Punjab Kings: 1. Prabhsimran Singh/Mayank Agarwal, 2. Shikhar Dhawan, 3. Jonny Bairstow, 4. Liam Livingstone, 5. Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6. Shahrukh Khan/Bhanuka Rajapaksa, 7. Rishi Dhawan/Raj Bawa/Odean Smith, 8. Kagiso Rabada, 9. Rahul Chahar, 10. Vaibhav Arora, 11. Arshdeep Singh

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Delhi Capitals:

  • David Warner has struck 11 half-centuries in 21 innings vs Punjab Kings. He has 945 runs against them at an average of 49.74 and strike rate of 139.79.
  • Warner will be aiming to get past Rabada (five dismissals in T20s) and build against Chahar and Arshdeep. He has scored 50 runs in 28 deliveries vs Chahar without dismissal and 43 off 29 vs Arshdeep also without dismissal.
  • Prithvi Shaw has often struggled against PBKS (7 inns, 118 runs, avg. 16.86, SR 145), but he has the ability to turn this around. He has smashed scores of 38 and 51 on this ground at a strike rate of 167.92 in IPL 2022.
  • Rishabh Pant is starting to show glimpses of his best form. He has scored 144 runs in five matches this season at an average of 36.00 and strike rate of 146.93. With PBKS struggling at the death this season, Pant can pounce.
  • Khaleel Ahmed has taken at least two wickets in all but one match so far this season. He will be key against Dhawan, whom he has dismissed once in 15 deliveries for just 13 runs.
  • Kuldeep Yadav has taken the third-most wickets so far in IPL 2022 (11). He too has a strong record against Dhawan, with figures of 2/34 in 37 deliveries in the IPL.
  • Shardul Thakur bowled 14 dot balls in his 1/27 vs RCB a few nights ago. He has a good record against Punjab, with 13 wickets in seven matches at an average of 16.46 and strike rate of 11.85.

Punjab Kings:

  • Shikhar Dhawan has scored the most T20 runs of any player at Brabourne: 8 inns, 265 runs, avg. 33.13, SR 133.17. In these eight innings, he has hit three 50+ scores and a further two 30+ scores.
  • Shikhar has good strike rates against some of Delhi’s bowlers. He has scored 57 off 39 vs Mustafizur (no dismissal) and 69 off 44 vs Shardul (two dismissals).
  • Mayank Agarwal has strong numbers against Delhi Capitals: 10 inns, 334 runs, avg. 37.11, SR 142.13. Before he missed the last game with a toe injury, he smashed a 32-ball 52 vs MI.
  • Liam Livingstone has struck three 60+ scores in his past four knocks, including two on this ground (Brabourne) at a strike rate of 210.17. His 224 runs this season come at a strike rate of 185.12.
  • Kagiso Rabada comes up against his former team. He has seven wickets this season (at least one in every game so far), and has dismissed David Warner five times in T20s for a total of 96 runs in 71 deliveries.
  • Rahul Chahar has taken nine wickets in six matches so far in IPL 2022 at an average of 19.22 and economy rate of 7.20. This includes four scalps in two matches at Brabourne.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 28, PBKS 15, DC 13. Delhi have won three of the past four matches.
  • Punjab Kings are the fastest-scoring team in the powerplay in IPL 2022 (9.81 per over). However, they are the slowest at the death (9.22 per over).
  • Jonny Bairstow has made a slow start to IPL 2022, but he has a good record vs DC: 4 inns, 180 runs, avg. 45.00, SR 144.00.
  • Both Arshdeep Singh (1/10 off 11 balls) and Rahul Chahar (1/4 off 6 balls) have enjoyed some success against Prithvi Shaw in the IPL.
  • Jitesh Sharma has struck five fours and seven sixes in 51 deliveries so far in IPL 2022.
  • Axar Patel has taken just one wicket in 17 overs this season. However, his batting has been quite strong, with 78 runs and one dismissal.

Brabourne Pitch Report and Weather

A belter of a batting pitch. There have been 132 sixes struck in eight matches at Brabourne in IPL 2022, with an all-time thriller played between the Royals and Knight Riders a couple of nights ago.

The average first innings score on this ground this season is 195.25, with the team batting first winning three of the past four matches. However, expect the captain who wins the toss to choose to chase with dew around.

Former WA cricketer & current Netherlands coach Ryan Campbell in coma after heart attack

Cricket News: Former WA cricketer & current Netherlands coach Ryan Campbell in coma after heart attack | Ryan Campbell in London hospital after heart attack

Former Western Australia cricketer and current Netherlands coach Ryan Campbell is fighting for his life in a London hospital after he suffered a heart attack over the Easter weekend. The 50-year old was reportedly at a playground with his kids before he experienced breathing troubles, and is now in a coma.

The awful news came through early on Tuesday morning Australian time, when it was revealed by radio host Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast in Perth. Campbell was in Perth just last week, soon after Netherlands’ ODI tour of New Zealand.

“As of 45 minutes ago he was still unresponsive, although under the care of his doctors he has made some attempts successfully to breathe on his own,” said Parker.

“This news is a real shock to his family and friends back home in Australia, who learned about it on Easter Sunday.”

“Ryan Campbell is as ‘fit as a fiddle'”

In a tweet, Parker said that Campbell was in good spirits in his Perth visit last week. He suffered the heart attack on Saturday and is currently in ICU.

Earlier I shared the news that former WA and Australian cricketer and friend of so many Ryan Campbell is in ICU in London after a heart attack on Saturday. He was here in Perth just last week and fit as a fiddle. Please have him, wife Leontina and his kids in your prayers, the tweet read.

Campbell played 96 First Class matches for Western Australia, where he scored 6,009 runs at an average of 36.04. He also played 105 List A matches and debuted for Australia in an ODI against New Zealand in 2002.

Campbell has also been coach of the Netherlands team since 2017. Under his guidance, the Dutch have enjoyed some wonderful moments, including ODI series wins over Zimbabwe in 2019 and then Ireland in 2021, as well as qualifying for the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The Netherlands are due to participate in a Qualifier tournament in June in Zimbabwe for the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.

LSG vs RCB Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 31 | LKN vs BLR Dream11 Prediction Today | Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Key Players | DY Patil Pitch Report

A cracking all-top four contest awaits us on this Tuesday. Lucknow Super Giants, in their first ever season, continue to produce the goods, with their latest effort an easy victory over Mumbai Indians. For Royal Challengers Bangalore, it has been the DK show, with Dinesh Karthik showcasing just how he’s like a fine wine. He certainly does keep getting better with age.

It’s set up for a riveting contest between Lucknow’s yorker exponents and RCB’s firing middle order. Such a sentence is refreshing for RCB, as the middle order is an area they have struggled in over the years. Now, the calls are growing louder for the top order to do more. Quite the change indeed.

In terms of RCB’s bowlers, they will have a bit to contend with. KL Rahul made his grand arrival to IPL 2022 with a century over the weekend, and he comes up against one of his favourite opponents today. Their all-round depth is on show at the moment, with the likes of Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder adding balance to a long batting lineup and wicket-taking bowling attack.

There is a great incentive for both teams to solidify their place in the top four.

Possible Playing 11

Lucknow should stick with the same XI, provided there are no injury or illness concerns.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1. KL Rahul (c), 2. Quinton de Kock (wk), 3. Manish Pandey, 4. Deepak Hooda, 5. Marcus Stoinis, 6. Ayush Badoni, 7. Jason Holder, 8. Krunal Pandya, 9. Dushmantha Chameera, 10. Avesh Khan, 11. Ravi Bishnoi

Harshal Patel made a return to the RCB team. Patel at his best adds so much to the RCB attack.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1. Faf du Plessis (c), 2. Anuj Rawat/Mahipal Lomror, 3. Virat Kohli, 4. Glenn Maxwell, 5. Shahbaz Ahmed, 6. Suyash Prabhudessai, 7. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 8. Wanindu Hasaranga, 9. Harshal Patel, 10. Mohammed Siraj, 11. Josh Hazlewood

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Lucknow Super Giants:

  • KL Rahul is coming off a century and now meets a team whom he has a magnificent record against: 10 inns, 501 runs, avg. 83.50, SR 151.36. He as a superb record against Siraj (51 off 27, no dismissal), Harshal (30 off 16, no dismissal) and Hazlewood (22 off 15, no dismissal).
  • Quinton de Kock also had a strong record vs RCB: 9 inns, 362 runs, avg. 40.22, SR 144.22. He has scored 40 runs off 31 deliveries vs Harshal. Also, he scored 80 on this ground earlier this season.
  • Deepak Hooda has struck two fifties in six matches so far this season, and has helped continue the momentum throughout the innings for LSG.
  • Marcus Stoinis has terrific numbers against RCB. In six innings, he has struck 132 runs at an average of 44.00 and strike rate of 160.98. He has struck 22 off nine balls vs Siraj (no dismissal), but his battle with Harshal will be interesting (one dismissal in three deliveries).
  • Can Jason Holder help keep RCB’s firing middle order quiet? He has taken six wickets in four matches so far in IPL 2022, but is conceding 9.25 per over. Whether he can nail those yorkers will be key against a team whom he takes a wicket every 11 deliveries against.
  • LSG could look to use Holder against Kohli. The seamer has dismissed Virat twice in 10 deliveries in the IPL, whilst conceding just nine runs. He also has performed well vs Faf du Plessis in T20 franchise cricket: 17 balls, 22 runs conceded, one dismissal.
  • At the time of writing, Avesh Khan has the third-most wickets in IPL 2022 (11). He has taken five wickets in the powerplay and five at the death this season.
  • Avesh has figures of 1/21 in 19 deliveries vs du Plessis, 1/5 in eight deliveries vs Kohli and 1/2 in nine deliveries vs Dinesh Karthik.

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

  • Faf du Plessis has scored just 66 runs in five matches since his 88 to start the season. If he can bat deep, LSG could be in trouble as he strikes at 140+ between overs 12-16 and over 200 in the death overs.
  • The wait continues for Virat Kohli to produce his best form as he is averaging just 23.80 so far this season. While he has been dismissed twice by Holder in the IPL, he has a great record against him in T20Is, where he has taken 57 wickets off 26 deliveries.
  • Glenn Maxwell has made a positive start to IPL 2022 (89 runs, avg. 44.50, SR 189.36). He has good numbers against LSG’s bowlers: 32 runs off 21 deliveries against Holder (one dismissal), 16 off 17 vs Chameera (no dismissal), 16 off nine vs Avesh (no dismissal), 22 off eight vs Bishnoi (no dismissal) and 108 off 83 vs Krunal (two dismissals).
  • Dinesh Karthik has won three matches for RCB this season. His 197 runs come at an incredible strike rate of 209.57.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga has taken the third-most wickets in IPL 2022 (11). Nine of his 11 wickets have been right-handers. LSG have just the one left-hander in their top seven, so Hasaranga will be a factor.
  • Harshal Patel will be key in limiting LSG at the death. He concedes less than 10 an over in this stage in the IPL at an average of around 10.
  • Josh Hazlewood was outstanding against DC (3/28), where he continued his brilliant T20 form since the start of 2021 (46 wickets in 29 matches). He will be key in the powerplay, especially as he has dismissed de Kock twice in 27 deliveries in T20s (37 runs).

Other Stats and Facts

  • RCB could look to use Wanindu Hasaranga in the powerplay to KL Rahul. The legspinner has dismissed Rahul once in 12 deliveries, whilst conceding 14 runs.
  • They could also look at using Glenn Maxwell. The off-spinner has dismissed KL Rahul twice in 18 deliveries, conceding just 20 runs in the process.
  • Ravi Bishnoi to be kept for Dinesh Karthik? Karthik has scored just 42 runs in 47 deliveries against right-arm wrist-spin since the start of IPL 2020, with seven dismissals in 14 innings.
  • Also, Krunal Pandya has figures of 2/24 in 28 deliveries vs Dinesh Karthik in the IPL.
  • Mohammed Siraj took two crucial wickets vs DC (Shaw and Pant) and he will be tasked with doing the same today. He has dismissed Quinton de Kock once in 14 deliveries in the IPL, whilst conceding just 16.
  • Shahbaz Ahmed has been outstanding in IPL 2022: 4 inns, 145 runs, avg. 48.33, SR 154.25.

DY Patil Pitch Report and Weather

The average first innings score at DY Patil this season is 171.9. The team batting first has won four of 10 matches on this ground in IPL 2022, so chasing isn’t always advantageous. However, with some dew expected, the captain who wins the toss is likely to bowl first.

RR vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 30

RR vs KKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2022 Match 30 | RR vs KOL Dream11 Prediction Today | Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders Key Players | Brabourne Pitch Report

Match 30 of IPL 2022 is a crucial one. As we approach the halfway stage of the tournament, both Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders enter this contest with an incentive to go back into the top four. The team that loses here will have some catching up to do from outside the playoffs’ places.

After a wonderful start to the season, KKR have lost their past two games. RR, after a brilliant start against Gujarat, were then beaten convincingly courtesy of Hardik Pandya’s finishing and some poor batting outside of Jos Buttler’s magnificent half-century. So, both teams will be after improvement today.

Also, both teams are struggling with their death bowling. The Royals dearly missed Trent Boult last match, while KKR need more economical returns from the likes of Pat Cummins and Umesh Yadav in the crunch overs. When you consider Shimron Hetmyer and Andre Russell are in magnificent form, the bowlers will have a tall task to try and keep their opponent quiet in what could be a high-scoring match.

Possible Playing 11

There is no official word yet on whether Trent Boult is fit for this match after missing the Gujarat game with a niggle. He was seen in team challenge videos on the Royals’ socials, so he could be ready to go for this one.

Also, the Royals have a decision to make regarding a sixth bowling option. For all his quality, Rassie van der Dussen has made a slow start to his IPL 2022 campaign, so there is the option of keeping Jimmy Neesham in the team even if Boult is fit.

Rajasthan Royals: 1. Jos Buttler, 2. Devdutt Padikkal, 3. Sanju Samson (c & wk), 4. Rassie van der Dussen/Jimmy Neesham, 5. Shimron Hetmyer, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. R Ashwin, 8. Trent Boult, 9. Prasidh Krishna, 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. Kuldeep Sen

Sam Billings is reportedly available for selection today after missing the last match due to illness. KKR will have to make a call on whether they stick with Aaron Finch at the top.

Also, Shivam Mavi took 4/21 vs Royals last season, so KKR could look to play him in this match.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Venkatesh Iyer, 2. Aaron Finch/Ajinkya Rahane, 3. Shreyas Iyer (c), 4. Nitish Rana, 5. Sheldon Jackson/Sam Billings (wk), 6. Andre Russell, 7. Sunil Narine, 8. Pat Cummins, 9. Aman Khan/Shivam Mavi, 10. Umesh Yadav, 11. Varun Chakravarthy

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Rajasthan Royals:

  • Jos Buttler remains the Orange Cap holder with 272 runs at an average of 68.00 and strike rate of 152.80. His last effort was a brilliant 24-ball 54 vs Gujarat, where he looked good for more had it not been for a brilliant slower ball yorker by Lockie Ferguson.
  • Buttler is yet to score a 50 for RR vs KKR, but is usually consistent against them: 6 inns, 161 runs, avg. 32.20, SR 135.29. He has a good record against KKR’s main seamers: 40 off 31 vs Cummins (no dismissal), 47 off 29 vs Umesh (one dimissal), 48 off 32 vs Russell (two dismissals).
  • RR need a big performance from Sanju Samson. He averages just 22.55 and strikes at 110 in 12 innings vs KKR, including 3/47 in 59 deliveries vs Narine. But, the hope for Samson and RR is that he is striking at 223.33 vs spin this season.
  • Shimron Hetmyer is in career-best touch. The left-hander is striking at 177.47 this season, which bumps up to 262 in the death overs – a period where KKR concede 12.97 per over.
  • Trent Boult takes a wicket every 14 deliveries on average vs KKR (nine wickets in 22 overs). If Aaron Finch plays, then Boult has an opportunity to target Finch’s weakness against left-arm seam. Also, Boult has dismissed Russell twice in 15 deliveries in T20s (27 runs).
  • Yuzvendra Chahal, the Purple Cap holder this season (12 wickets), has taken 19 wickets in 18 matches vs KKR. RR could look to employ him against Nitish Rana, whom he has dismissed four times in 57 deliveries for 69 runs in the IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • Shreyas Iyer has strong numbers against Chahal (72 runs off 51 deliveries, no dismissal). The KKR captain has struck a double-figure score in every match so far in IPL 2022, but has crossed 50 just once. It’s a big game for him.
  • KKR will be aiming to introduce Nitish Rana when R Ashwin is bowling. Rana has smashed 74 off 35 against Ashwin in the IPL without dismissal. Also, Rana comes into this match with confidence after 36-ball 54 vs SRH a few nights ago.
  • KKR could also introduce Sunil Narine as a pinch-hitter once again. He also has superb numbers against Ashwin, with 60 runs in 22 deliveries (one dismissal). Also, can Narine improve on his 10 wickets in 15 matches vs Royals?
  • Andre Russell’s 179 runs come at a strike rate of 179 this season, and has five wickets with the ball. Also, he has scored 80 off 37 vs Chahal in the IPL (one dismissal).
  • Varun Chakravarthy hasn’t been at his best this season, with just four wickets at an average of 47.75 and economy rate of 8.30. However, he does have good numbers against the Royals, with seven wickets in four matches at an average of 13.00 and economy rate of 5.69.
  • Umesh Yadav against the Royals’ top order should make for an interesting battle. Umesh has taken 10 wickets this season, with his powerplay bowling a key feature once again.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 25, KKR 13, RR 11, N/R 1.
  • RR are conceding 12.78 per over in the death overs this season. KKR are slightly worse at 12.97. Also, both teams average just one wicket per match at this stage.
  • Umesh Yadav has dismissed Sanju Samson three times in 44 deliveries in the IPL, but Samson has scored 79 runs.
  • Expect KKR to introduce spin early to Jos Buttler. Narine has figures of 3/61 in 54 deliveries vs Buttler in T20s. Chakravarthy has dismissed the opener twice in eight deliveries.
  • RR will move to send place with a win today. KKR will move to at least third spot. Defeat, though, will mean time outside the top four.

Brabourne Pitch Report and Weather

Brabourne is the highest-scoring ground so far in IPL 2022. The average run rate is 9.43, with the average first innings score a high 192.14.

The team batting first has had some success on this ground, winning three of the seven matches. However, given this is a night game with dew likely, expect the captain who wins the toss to choose to chase.
