PBKS vs MI Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 Qualifier 2

Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025 shapes up as quite the battle. Punjab Kings (PBKS), involved in the playoffs for the first time since 2014, take on the juggernaut that is Mumbai Indians (MI), filled with title-winning experience.

MI’s big guns stepped up in the pressure cooker of an Eliminator against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Friday. Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah led the way, producing big performances to get the team within one game of the playoffs. Bumrah in particular was outstanding as GT were on track to chase a mammoth total of 228, with that yorker to Washington Sundar a reminder of his sheer greatness.

PBKS need to bounce back after a disappointing performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1. They did not adjust to the bounce on offer at Mullanpur, and seemed to be overawed by the occasion. Well, this occasion is even bigger as there are no second chances, but Shreyas Iyer’s team can take heart from the fact they beat MI less than a week ago.

In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Ahmedabad pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 Prediction for IPL 2025 Qualifier 2.

IPL 2025 Qualifier 2: PBKS vs MI Possible Playing XIIs

PBKS should stick with the same XI despite the loss to RCB, unless Yuzvendra Chahal is fit.

Punjab Kings: 1. Priyansh Arya, 2. Prabhsimran Singh, 3. Josh Inglis (wk), 4. Shreyas Iyer (c), 5. Nehal Wadhera, 6. Marcus Stoinis, 7. Shashank Singh, 8. Azmatullah Omarzai, 9. Harpreet Brar, 10. Kyle Jamieson, 11. Arshdeep Singh, 12. Vijaykumar Vyshak

MI could also look to stick with same XI, including the bowling attack that did travel at times against GT.

Mumbai Indians: 1. Rohit Sharma, 2. Jonny Bairstow (wk), 3. Suryakumar Yadav, 4. Tilar Varma, 5. Hardik Pandya (c), 6. Naman Dhir, 7. Mitchell Santner, 8. Raj Bawa, 9. Trent Boult, 10. Jasprit Bumrah, 11. Richard Gleeson, 12. Ashwani Kumar

Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad Pitch Report and Weather

Ahmedabad has been a batting paradise in IPL 2025. The average first innings score is a mammoth 222.14, with 200+ breached in six of the seven matches. Pacers have taken 56 wickets on this ground this season. Spinners have taken 27.

Whoever wins the toss may be tempted to bat first. Teams batting first have won six of the seven games at Narendra Modi Stadium this season. The weather forecast is warm and mostly clear night with a top of around 30 degrees.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PBKS vs MI: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Jonny Bairstow made a magnificent first appearance in IPL 2025, smashing 47 (22) in the Eliminator. He is in good form after scores of 79, 89 and 77 in his last three innings for Yorkshire in the County Championship.
  • Josh Inglis struck 73 (42) against MI on May 26. Inglis smashed 32 (12) in the match before that as well.
  • Prabhsimran Singh has made starts in his last four innings (21, 28, 13, 18) without going on to make a significant score. Despite this, Singh has looked in decent touch and is among the highest-ever scorers for uncapped players in IPL history.

Key batter picks:

  • Suryakumar Yadav has made 14 consecutive 25+ scores – a world record in men’s T20s. This includes a 39-ball 57 against PBKS last week.
  • Priyansh Arya hammered 62 (35) against MI last week. He has been dismissed five times by left-arm seam this season (avg. 29.4, SR 188.5), so the battle against Trent Boult will be crucial.
  • Shreyas Iyer has struggled at Mullanpur and performed just about everywhere else. Before his two against RCB, Shreyas made scores of 25*, 72, 45, 30, 53 and 26* in his previous six knocks.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Hardik Pandya has amassed 870 Dream11 points this season – the most of any of the all-rounders featuring in this game. Hardik looks to be a better pick if batting first, as he showed in the last game where he struck 22* (9).

Key bowler picks:

  • Jasprit Bumrah has 24 wickets in 17 innings against PBKS. The great fast bowler has 18 wickets this season at an average of 15.33 and economy of 6.33. He has a dominant record against Marcus Stoinis in the IPL: 36 balls, 28 runs, three wickets.
  • Trent Boult was expensive against GT, but is in magnificent wicket-taking form with 15 scalps in his last seven matches. His matchup against Prabhsimran Singh is a positive one for MI: 25 balls, 26 runs, two wickets.
  • Arshdeep Singh will be vital in the powerplay. Rohit Sharma has been dismissed four times by left-arm seam this season at an average of 17.8. Arshdeep will also be vital at the death – he has fine numbers against Suryakumar Yadav: 35 balls, 42 runs, two wickets.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Rohit Sharma won player of the match for his 80 (51) against GT in the Eliminator. He played beautifully in a breakthrough innings when batting first this season (currently averaging 25 in the first innings). However, keep in mind Rohit was dropped twice early in his innings.
  • Tilak Varma was excellent in the Eliminator, playing an impactful innings of 25 (11). Such a knock can build confidence, and he can be worth a pick in Dream11.
  • Marcus Stoinis has struck two fifties in his last four matches against MI. Overall, the all-rounder has 340 runs vs MI at an average of 28.3 and strike rate of 145.9.

Stats and Other Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: Matches 33, PBKS 16, MI 17.
  • Suryakumar Yadav career record against PBKS: 19 inns, 562 runs, avg. 31.2, SR 155.7.
  • Trent Boult vs Priyansh Arya in the IPL: 11 balls, 20 runs, no dismissal.
  • Jasprit Bumrah vs Shreyas Iyer in the IPL: 50 balls, 66 runs, one dismissal.
  • Trent Boult vs Shreyas Iyer in the IPL: 44 balls, 56 runs, one dismissal.
  • Arshdeep Singh vs Rohit Sharma in the IPL: 23 balls, 28 runs, one dismissal.

How should England fit Jacob Bethell in their Test team against India?

As Jacob Bethell struck a 52-ball 83 in a man of the match performance in the first ODI against West Indies, questions were rife as to how the left-hander could make his way into England’s Test team for the upcoming five-match series against India.

Of course, circumstances will be different batting in Test cricket compared to an ODI, but Bethell’s very promising start to his career means he is in contention. After his surprise selection for the Test tour of New Zealand last year, Bethell displayed good temperament and technique at number three, hitting 260 runs at an average of 52.

England’s first Test since that New Zealand series was against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge last week. Bethell was unavailable as he was playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the time. Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley, whose positions are considered to be under the most threat, both hit centuries in an innings victory for the hosts.

However, it was captain Ben Stokes’ comments before the Zimbabwe Test that created speculation. “If you’re smart enough, the series that Beth had out in New Zealand, obviously he’s going to be back in the UK for that India series,” Stokes said, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo. “I think you put 2 and 2 together, you probably know what’s going to happen.

“You look at what Beth did in the winter for us, if you talk about nailing down a position, Beth has done himself the world of good by the performances he put in there with being part of our plans going forward.”

Following the Zimbabwe match and amid the outside noise, Stokes threw his support behind Pope, who had notched his eighth Test hundred. “He’s my vice-captain, and he’s been incredible for me at number three and the team,” Stokes said.

How do England fit Jacob Bethell into their Test XI? A look at 3 solutions

So what should England do if they wish to give Bethell first crack against India? Pope is the vice-captain, so his place is assured for now, despite his inconsistency at Test level. Here is a look at other options England could look to implement.

1. Drop Jamie Smith, shift Ollie Pope to 6 and keeper-batter

Jamie Smith is another player who has made a strong impression in his early days as an international cricketer. In his first seven home Tests, Smith has struck 491 runs at an average of 49.10 and strike rate of 74.28, giving England extra impetus down the order. So, leaving him out would be harsh.

However, if England are looking to get Bethell in while keeping Pope in the XI, Smith may need to make way. Smith missing the New Zealand tour last year due to the birth of his child, plus Jordan Cox’s subsequent injury, paved the way for Pope to take the gloves and Bethell to bat at three.

Batting at six, Pope struck two half-centuries in three Tests, totaling 194 runs at 38.80.

2. Leave Shoaib Bashir out, play Jacob Bethell as main spinner

This option is unlikely and will only take place if conditions are heavily favoured towards the seamers. However, conditions in England have been quite good for batting in recent years, especially since Brendon McCullum’s arrival as coach. Plus, spinners often have a say later in games on dry pitches.

Also, Bashir won player of the match against Zimbabwe, taking figures of 3/62 and 6/81 while getting the ball to spin appreciably off the Trent Bridge surface. Bashir is a player England are invested in, and the experience against India will be invaluable for him.

3. Drop Zak Crawley, shift either Bethell or Pope to open

This also seems unlikely. Firstly, England have backed Zak Crawley time and again, and will surely continue to do so after his century against Zimbabwe. Secondly, both Bethell and Pope in the top three gives England less experience at the top. This could prove costly against Bumrah and co.

So, the dilemma is real. If England wish to bring Bethell back into their Test XI, there are some pieces of the puzzle that need to be moved around.

For the sake of balance and rewarding those who performed well in the recent Test, Bethell may have to bide his time a little. Time will tell.

Most runs by an uncapped player in a single IPL season

Prabhsimran Singh became the sixth uncapped player to hit 500 runs in a single IPL season. The opener is a key reason why Punjab Kings (PBKS) qualified to the playoffs for the first time since 2014, with 523 runs in 16 matches at an average of 32.68 and strike rate of 163.43.

It begs the question – where does Prabhsimran rank among uncapped players when it comes to most runs in a single IPL season? In this article, we will look at the top five.

List of most runs by an uncapped player in a single season of the IPL

PlayerTeamTotal RunsYear
Yashasvi JaiswalRajasthan Royals6252023
Shaun MarshKings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings)6162008
Riyan ParagRajasthan Royals5732024
Prabhsimran SinghPunjab Kings5232025
Ishan KishanMumbai Indians5162020

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal: 625 runs in 2023

Aged just 21 at the time, Yashasvi Jaiswal struck 625 runs in the 2023 season. It was clear this youngster wasn’t going to be uncapped for too long as he displayed the consistency befitting of his immense talent.

Jaiswal struck his maiden IPL century in the 2023 campaign; a memorable 62-ball 124 against MI. He also struck five fifties. The opener finished with an average of 48.07 and strike rate of 163.61. Unfortunately, Rajasthan Royals (RR) just missed the playoffs by two points.

2. Shaun Marsh: 616 runs in 2008

Shaun Marsh in the debut season of the tournament is etched in IPL folklore. The Australian became the first ever uncapped player to score an IPL century, smashing 115 off 69 balls against RR in Mohali.

Marsh finished the season as the Orange Cap winner with 616 runs at an average of 68.44 and strike rate of 139.68. He played a key role in Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) finishing second in the 2008 season. KXIP may have fallen short in the semi-final against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but it took nothing away from Marsh’s outstanding season.

3. Riyan Parag: 573 runs in 2024

Riyan Parag came into the 2024 season as a player yet to realise his potential. An excellent campaign in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy gave hope of a big IPL campaign a few months later.

Batting at number four, Parag delivered. He struck 573 runs at an average of 52.08 and strike rate of 149.21, including four fifties in 14 innings. Despite RR’s poor finish to the league stage, he was a key reason why they could dream of a title. His 26-ball 36 in the Eliminator against RCB was a summary of the kind of important input he had all season.

4. Prabhsimran Singh: 523 runs in 2025

Prabhsimran Singh currently sits fourth in the list of most runs by an uncapped player in a single IPL season. He potentially has two more games remaining (Qualifier 2 and Final) which could push him up further in the list if he delivers a big performance(s).

Impact has been the cornerstone of Prabhsimran’s season. Not only has he produced over 500 runs, but he has achieved it at a strike rate above 163. This includes four fifties.

5. Ishan Kishan: 516 runs in 2020

Ishan Kishan was MI’s highest run-scorer in their title winning season of 2020, despite batting just 13 times. The left-hander struck 516 runs at an average of 57.33 and strike rate of 145.76. The highlight was an outstanding 99 off 58 balls in a thriller against RCB in Dubai.

Kishan soon made his debut for India. He played his first T20I in March 2021, before making his ODI debut in July of the same year.

Brad Haddin names his Australia XI for the 2025 WTC Final: Will Cameron Green open?

Former Australia wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has named his Australia XI for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) Final against South Africa at Lord’s.

Brad Haddin’s Australian XI for the 2025 WTC Final: 1. Cameron Green, 2. Usman Khawaja, 3. Marnus Labuschagne, 4. Steve Smith, 5. Travis Head, 6. Beau Webster, 7. Alex Carey (wk), 8. Pat Cummins (c), 9. Mitchell Starc, 10. Nathan Lyon/Scott Boland, 11. Josh Hazlewood

Brad Haddin picks Cameron Green to open in WTC Final against South Africa

Haddin believes Cameron Green will come back into the XI, but where he bats is the key question. Also, Haddin says there could be a world where Nathan Lyon misses out depending on conditions at Lord’s.

“I think Cameron Green will come back into the squad… and what that looks like, I think you’ll see him at either one or three, and Marnus the other one [position]. I think that’s the way they’ll go,” Haddin said, speaking on the Willow Talk Podcast.

Haddin believes Australia will opt for tried and tested players in the WTC Final, before looking at other options if needed in the West Indies tour to follow.

Labuschagne finds himself under pressure following three lean outings for Glamorgan in the leadup to the WTC Final. Australia’s number three was dismissed for 0, 4 and 23, with the consistent nature of his dismissals – caught edging behind the wicket – is cause for concern.

“They’ll use the players they’ve used over this cycle. I think the Test team could look a lot different in the West Indies, but for the Test Championships, I think Cameron Green will come straight back in,” Haddin said.

Depending on conditions, Australia may need to find a way to get Scott Boland in the XI. Boland has been superb in Test cricket, taking 56 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 17.66. He was awarded man of the match in his last Test – against India at the SCG in January – where he took 4/31 and 6/45.

“It’ll be interesting with the forecast for that Test match, if it is overcast and we know Lord’s… do you think there’s a world here where Lyno [Nathan Lyon] doesn’t play that one-off game?” Haddin asked.

The WTC Final kicks off on June 11.

“Am I dreaming?”: Twitter reactions to RCB qualifying for IPL 2025 Final

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have qualified for their first IPL Final since 2016 after thrashing Punjab Kings (PBKS) by eight wickets in Qualifier 1. The victory was led by the magnificent bowling unit, who took full advantage of the bounce and spin on offer to roll PBKS for just 101.

Josh Hazlewood was simply magnificent. In his usual bowling machine-like consistency, Hazlewood troubled the PBKS batters with his hard lengths and ability to get the ball to lift off the surface. His dominance over Shreyas Iyer continued, before picking up the crucial wicket of fellow Aussie Josh Inglis to leave PBKS reeling at 38/4 in the final end of the powerplay.

The dominance didn’t end there. Unlike years gone by, the hallmark of RCB’s 2025 season has been their ability to perform as a unit. Yash Dayal (2/26) was also outstanding, before man of the match Suyash Sharma did not let up. The legspinner bamboozled the PBKS lower-middle order with his variations, picking up the crucial wickets of Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis, both of whom had the potential to lift PBKS to a defendable score.

In reply, RCB didn’t break a sweat. Phil Salt overcame his own poor record against Arshdeep Singh to notch up a dominant 27-ball 56 that included six fours and three sixes. In the end, the victory with 60 balls to spare is the biggest win for any team in an IPL playoff match.

PBKS’ first playoffs match since 2014 was a big deal. But, the occasion got the better of Shreyas Iyer’s team. Their batting innings was filled with low-percentage shots on a surface offering bounce, none more so than Iyer’s against Hazlewood.

Reactions: Fans go berserk as RCB reach first IPL final since 2016, PBKS overawed by the occasion

“Am I dreaming? Is this real? Can someone pinch me please…” wrote an RCB fan on X, formerly Twitter. “I truly believe we are going all the way, buckle up and enjoy the ride,” said South Africa and RCB legend AB de Villiers.

Social media was filled with emotion as RCB qualified for the IPL 2025 Final. Here are some of the reactions.

PBKS must recover quickly. They will face either Gujarat Titans or Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 on Sunday.

The IPL 2025 final will be on Tuesday, 3 June at Ahmedabad.

GT vs MI Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 Eliminator

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) played out a classic on May 6th, and we could be in for another as the sides meet in the IPL 2025 Eliminator. Both teams would feel a little disheartened by the fact they didn’t reach the top two, with defeats late in the league stage meaning they are faced with a do-or-die scenario immediately.

GT in particular were well set for a top two finish as they sat towards the top of the table for most of the campaign. Two straight defeats meant they finished third. However, they must learn from the defeats to LSG and CSK to get things right when it matters here.

The bowling has been all over the place. For LSG and CSK to smash 235/2 and 230/5 respectively is a reflection of GT’s lack of discipline and execution. If they repeat that here, MI have the players to take advantage.

That being said, MI aren’t without their challenges. Rohit Sharma’s form remains very indifferent as the bowling attack didn’t fire too much of a shot against PBKS earlier this week. Powerplay bowling will be vital against GT’s excellent opening combination, but even if MI make early inroads, they need to keep the pressure on as GT’s middle order, despite being largely untested, can cause a surprise.

In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Mullanpur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the IPL 2025 Eliminator.

IPL 2025 Eliminator: GT vs MI Possible Playing XIIs

Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium Mullanpur Pitch Report and Weather

This match will take place less than 24 hours after Qualifier 1 between RCB and PBKS.

It has been a mixed bag in Mullanpur. The first two matches here in IPL 2025 saw three 200-plus totals. The next game saw PBKS defend 111 against KKR on a surface offering assistance for both seam and spin bowlers.

Pacers have taken 28 wickets in four matches. Spinners have picked up 23. A hot and clear night is forecast with a top of about 33 degrees.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for GT vs MI: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • There are new wicket-keepers to choose from for this game, namely Bairstow and Mendis. Jonny Bairstow comes into this match in some good form after scores of 79, 89 and 77 in his last three innings for Yorkshire in the County Championship. He also has a strike rate of 200 against Siraj in the IPL (30 balls, 60 runs, one wicket).

Key batter picks:

  • Suryakumar Yadav is the record-holder for the most consecutive 25+ scores in men’s T20s (14). He has good numbers against Rashid Khan (71 balls, 101 runs, no wicket) and Mohammed Siraj (29 balls, 65 runs, one wicket).
  • Sai Sudharsan is a consistent force. At the time of writing, he is the top run-scorer in the league with 679 runs. Eight of his last ten innings have been 30+ scores, with his score of 5 against MI his only failure.

Top all-rounders:

  • Hardik Pandya loves the big occasion. He could get himself on early against the GT openers given he has a dominant record against Gill: 23 balls, 19 runs, four wickets.

Key bowler picks:

  • Trent Boult can break the game open in the powerplay. He dismissed Sai Sudharsan in both meetings against GT this season and has kept Shubman Gill quiet in the IPL, conceding just 74 off 69 against him (one wicket).
  • Jasprit Bumrah is the fifth-highest wicket-taker this season (17), despite playing just ten matches. This includes an outstanding 2/19 against GT on May 6th. He has a strong record against Gill, with overall figures of 2/34 off 38 balls.
  • Prasidh Krishna continues to deliver, even as his teammates struggle. He won player of the match against MI back on March 29th (2/18). Out of his 23 wickets this season, 11 have come between overs 7-16 at a superb economy of 6.52.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Kusal Mendis struck scores of 35*, 28, 12, 36 and 32 in PSL 2025.
  • Rashid Khan is struggling, but he is a big-game player. The legspinner could be tried early to Rohit Sharma, whom he has a great record against in the IPL: 32 balls, 35 runs, four wickets.
  • Rohit Sharma is averaging just 17 batting first in IPL 2025. Batting second, he is averaging 42.00 with two fifties in six innings.
  • Mitchell Santner has taken nine wickets this season, eight of which are right-handers. GT have a number of left-handers which could limit his impact.

Other Stats and Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: Matches 7, GT 5, MI 2.
  • Gujarat Titans have conceded 664 runs in their past three matches.
  • Prasidh Krishna vs Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL: 43 balls, 63 runs, two dismissals.
  • Sai Kishore vs Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL: 18 balls, 32 runs, one dismissal.
  • Deepak Chahar vs Shubman Gill in the IPL: 72 balls, 101 runs, four dismissals.
  • Prasidh Krishna vs Rohit Sharma in the IPL: 30 balls, 51 runs, two dismissals.
  • Mohammed Siraj vs Rohit Sharma in the IPL: 61 balls, 86 runs, one dismissal.
  • Arshad Khan vs Rohit Sharma in the IPL: 13 balls, nine runs, one dismissal.

PBKS vs RCB Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 Qualifier 1

It’s a match made in IPL heaven. Two of the perennial underachievers – Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) – go head-to-head in what promises to be a mouthwatering contest with qualification to Sunday’s final up for grabs. There has pain and near misses for these two franchises over the years, so who handles the pressure better will be crucial.

PBKS play their first playoffs’ game since 2014. They beat Mumbai Indians in a crunch match earlier this week to finish top of the table and have a shot at reaching the final here. They have the crucial experience of leadership duo Shreyas Iyer and Ricky Ponting to guide a somewhat inexperienced team when it comes to these types of matches. Also, they have found ways to win in Mullanpur, with their defence of 111 against KKR the most famous.

For RCB, they too managed to qualify for the top two in stunning fashion, chasing 228 against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. Jitesh Sharma was the unsung hero, hammering his first-ever IPL fifty at the perfect time to seal a remarkable victory. However, RCB will want to be on their game with the ball after Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh took them apart, so Josh Hazlewood’s return is handy. Also, how quickly they can settle after a very quick turnaround from their last game will be interesting to see.

In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Mullanpur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025.

IPL 2025 Qualifier 1: PBKS vs RCB Possible Playing XIIs

Punjab Kings: 1. Priyansh Arya, 2. Prabhsimran Singh, 3. Josh Inglis (wk), 4. Shreyas Iyer (c), 5. Nehal Wadhera, 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Marcus Stoinis, 8. Azmatullah Omarzai, 9. Kyle Jamieson, 10. Harpreet Brar, 11. Arshdeep Singh, 12. Yuzvendra Chahal

Josh Hazlewood is likely to slot in for Nuwan Thushara, despite the latter’s excellent performance against LSG. Tim David is unlikely to play due to his hamstring injury, according to Cricbuzz.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 1. Virat Kohli, 2. Phil Salt, 3. Mayank Agarwal, 4. Rajat Patidar (c), 5. Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6. Krunal Pandya, 7. Liam Livingstone, 8. Romario Shepherd, 9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10. Yash Dayal, 11. Josh Hazlewood, 12. Suyash Sharma

  • Prabhsimran Singh is one run away from notching up 500 for the season. Singh looked good against RCB earlier this season, hitting 33 off 16 balls in the powerplay before he was dismissed by Krunal.
  • Phil Salt offers great fantasy potential at the top. He has scores of 62 (vs SRH) and 30 (vs LSG) in his past two matches. If he gets through his difficult matchup against Arshdeep, he can get a significant score.

  • Shreyas Iyer is in fine form. He has scores of 25*, 72, 45, 30, 53 and 26* in his past six innings. However, he missed out twice against RCB earlier this season and has struggled at Mullanpur in IPL 2025 with scores of 10, 9, 0 and 6.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Krunal Pandya is key. Expect RCB to use him early against Josh Inglis. Inglis has been dismissed four times by spin in IPL 2025 at an average of 16 and strike rate of 152.4. Krunal is striking every 15.6 deliveries against right-handed batters this season (10 wickets).

  • Arshdeep Singh will be crucial especially in the powerplay. He has a dominant record against Phil Salt in all T20s: 32 balls, 25 runs, four wickets.
  • Josh Hazlewood is also crucial in the early and backend overs. He dismissed Priyansh Arya in the last meeting and has a dominant record against Shreyas Iyer in the IPL: 19 balls, nine runs, three wickets.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar has excellent head-to-head numbers against PBKS’ key players. He has dismissed Prabhsimran Singh four times in 36 balls (59 runs) and Shreyas Iyer three times in 50 balls for just 45 runs.

PBKS vs MI Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 69th Match

The 69th match of IPL 2025 promises to be a beauty. It has so much riding on it, with the winner to seal a crucial top two spot.

A month ago, it looked like it would be another disappointing season for Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians. Fast forward a month, they have won seven of their past eight games and will finish above both Gujarat Titans (GT) and today’s opponents – Punjab Kings (PBKS) – with victory today. If they lose, they will finish fourth and play either GT or Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Eliminator.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) are in the same boat. Victory will confirm a top two finish in their first playoffs’ appearance since 2014. Their performance against Delhi Capitals (DC) was disappointing by their high standards this season, failing to make much of an impact with the ball after hitting 200+ themselves. If they get things right here, they can certainly beat MI, but they’ll have to be on top of their game against an in-form side.

In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Jaipur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 69th match of IPL 2025.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Yuzvendra Chahal is set to miss this match due to a wrist injury.

Punjab Kings: 1. Priyansh Arya, 2. Prabhsimran Singh, 3. Shreyas Iyer (c), 4. Josh Inglis (wk), 5. Nehal Wadhera, 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Marcus Stoinis, 8. Azmatullah Omarzai, 9. Harpreet Brar, 10. Marco Jansen, 11. Arshdeep Singh, 12. Praveen Dubey

Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur Pitch Report and Weather

Jaipur has been batting friendly, especially in recent matches. In the past four games, there have been seven 200+ scores in the eight innings. Overall, the chasing team has won four of the seven games on this ground this season. Expect chasing to be preferred again.

Pacers have taken 33 wickets at Jaipur in IPL 2025. Spinners have picked up 24. Another very hot and clear night is forecast.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PBKS vs MI: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Prabhsimran Singh was looking good for a bigger score than the 28 (18) he managed against DC. He remains a crucial pick and captaincy option as he nears 500 runs for the season (486 runs, avg. 37.38, SR 170.52).
  • Ryan Rickelton has made six 20+ scores in his past eight matches. His matchup against Arshdeep is important; the MI opener has excellent numbers against left-arm seam in T20s this year: 71 balls, 140 runs, two wickets, SR 197.2.

Key batter picks:

  • Suryakumar Yadav has the opportunity to break the record for most consecutive 25+ scores in men’s T20s. He currently has 12.
  • Shreyas Iyer has a middling record against MI (388 runs, avg. 25.87, SR 116.17), but he is in good form with scores of 25*, 72, 45, 30 and 53 in his past five innings. He also has a combined 174 runs off 132 balls (two wickets) against Bumrah, Boult and Chahar in the IPL.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Will Jacks bats in the top three and all six of his wickets this season have been left-handers. He could be used against Priyansh Arya and Nehal Wadhera.

Key bowler picks:

  • Jasprit Bumrah has the equal sixth-most wickets (16) in IPL 2025 despite playing just nine matches. Bumrah will be key up top and has an excellent record against finisher Marcus Stoinis (see below).
  • Trent Boult has the third-most wickets this season (19), including 13 in his past five matches. Boult’s matchup against Priyansh Arya will be key as he has dismissed left-handed batters 11 times in T20s this year at a strike rate of 17.
  • Arshdeep Singh has gone wicketless in his past two games, but remains an important fantasy pick. Arshdeep will be looking to test Rohit Sharma, especially as the MI opener continues to struggle against left-arm seam (see below).

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Priyansh Arya has been dismissed for a single-digit score in his past three matches. Today he comes up against a strong powerplay attack in Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah. If he gets through that period, he can make a significant score.
  • Rohit Sharma against Arshdeep Singh is a key matchup. Also, Rohit has struggled batting first this season, with just 95 runs at an average of 15.8. Batting second, he has struck 210 runs at an average of 42.
  • Josh Inglis bats in the top three and looked in superb form against DC where he smashed a 12-ball 32.
  • Marcus Stoinis comes into this game in form after having smashed 44* off 16 balls against DC. How he deals with Bumrah and Boult here will be key. He is striking at 297 between overs 17-20 in IPL 2025.
  • Both Nehal Wadhera (avg. 71.5 when chasing this season) and Shashank Singh (284 runs, SR 149.47) can be good differential picks.
  • Hardik Pandya didn’t bowl in the last game, but will be key as a finisher. He strikes at 153.29 in 15 matches against PBKS.
  • Harpreet Brar has five wickets in his past two matches on this ground. Mitchell Santner is coming off a superb three-wicket haul against DC and will be key against PBKS’ right-handers.

Other Stats and Important Matchups

  • Head-to-head: MI 17, PBKS 15.
  • Suryakumar Yadav career record vs PBKS: 18 inns, 505 runs, avg. 29.71, SR 156.83.
  • Rohit Sharma against left-arm pace in IPL 2025: 45 balls, 66 runs, four dismissals.
  • Arshdeep Singh vs Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL: 29 balls, 38 runs, one dismissal.

DC vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 66th Match

The 66th match of IPL 2025 sees Delhi Capitals take on Punjab Kings in take two after their original matchup was abandoned on May 8.

Since then, DC have continued their collapse, falling out of playoffs contention despite sitting top of the league after six matches. PBKS have continued to remain solid, sealing their own playoffs’ berth for the first time in over a decade. Now, the focus for Punjab is a top two spot.

PBKS come into this match after beating RR by ten runs last Sunday. Their batting depth was on show, hitting a big total despite no big contributions from their in-form opening duo. With the ball, Shreyas Iyer has options to turn to, in contrast to DC who have been struggling.

On a Wankhede turner, DC conceded 48 runs in the last two overs to hand the initiative to Mumbai Indians. They were then never in the hunt to chase down 181, which sealed their elimination. Now, it remains to be seen what their levels of motivation will be in trying to finish their season on a high and hurt PBKS’ top two chances.

In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Jaipur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 66th match of IPL 2025.

IPL 2025 66th Match: DC vs PBKS Possible Playing XIIs

Axar Patel missed the MI match due to illness. If he returns for this game, expect Madhav Tiwari to drop out.

Also, given DC are eliminated, they may look to give other players an opportunity.

Delhi Capitals: 1. KL Rahul, 2. Faf du Plessis (OS), 3. Abishek Porel (wk), 4. Sameer Rizvi, 5. Axar Patel (c)/Madhav Tiwari, 6. Tristan Stubbs (OS), 7. Ashutosh Sharma, 8. Vipraj Nigam, 9. Dushmantha Chameera (OS), 10. Kuldeep Yadav, 11. Mustafizur Rahman (OS), 12. Mukesh Kumar

PBKS look settled and could stick with the same team that beat RR by ten runs on May 18th.

Punjab Kings: 1. Priyansh Arya, 2. Prabhsimran Singh (wk), 3. Mitchell Owen (OS), 4. Nehal Wadhera, 5. Shreyas Iyer (c), 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Azmatullah Omarzai (OS), 8. Marco Jansen (OS), 9. Xavier Bartlett (OS), 10. Arshdeep Singh, 11. Yuzvendra Chahal, 12. Harpreet Brar

Fantasy Cricket Tips for DC vs PBKS: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch

Top wicket-keeper picks:

  • Prabhsimran Singh has struck 33, 83, 54, 91 and 21 in his past five innings. He was also 50* against DC when that match was abandoned.
  • KL Rahul struck 112* two games ago. The classy Rahul is especially dangerous when there is nothing to lose.

Key batter picks:

  • Priyansh Arya has missed out in his last two games, but remains a crucial player at the top. He is striking at 185.9 in the powerplay this season and faces a DC side struggling with the ball. He scored 70 (34) in the game against DC that was eventually abandoned.
  • Shreyas Iyer has made scores of 25*, 72, 45 and 30 in his past four knocks.
  • Nehal Wadhera can be an excellent pick as he batted at four in the last match. The left-hander struck a glorious 37-ball 70 against RR, which was easily his most significant innings when batting first this season. Batting second, he has 143 runs at an average of 71.5 and strike rate of 162.5.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Marco Jansen bowls in the crunch overs, which brings wicket-taking opportunities. The tall left-arm seamer has five wickets in his past three matches.
  • Axar Patel is a safe pick if he returns from illness. The DC captain bats in the top five and will bowl four overs.

Key bowler picks:

  • Arshdeep Singh missed out from a fantasy perspective in his last game, going for 60 runs in four wicketless overs against RR. But, he remains a top pick given his prowess in the crunch plus his good head-to-head record against KL Rahul (see below).

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Tristan Stubbs continues to bat lower down the order, making him a better pick if DC bats first. The stats support this, with Stubbs averaging 92.5 (SR 160.9) compared to 24.2 (SR 138.6) batting second. Also, Stubbs has a good record against Arshdeep (see below).
  • Vipraj Nigam typically bowls four overs and DC are willing to use him up the order.
  • Azmatullah Omarzai hit 21* (9) and took 2/44 in his last game against RR. PBKS could look to use him with the newer ball under lights.
  • Mitchell Owen missed out in the last match but he is worth considering as he bats in the top three.
  • Harpreet Brar took 3/22 on this ground last Sunday.

Can Mumbai Indians still finish in the top 2 in IPL 2025?

The four playoff teams were confirmed with seven matches to spare in the 2025 IPL league stage. Mumbai Indians (MI) sealed their qualification after beating Delhi Capitals (DC) comfortably by 59 runs on May 21. This was MI’s seventh win from their past eight encounters.

While the top four teams are set, there is still interest regarding where Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and MI finish on the IPL table. Finishing first or second could prove crucial, evidenced by the fact that a top two team has gone on to win the title 14 times out of the 17 editions to date.

Can 4th placed Mumbai Indians still make the top 2?

Here is the current IPL table, as of 24th May:

PositionTeamMatchesPointsNRR
1GT13180.602
2PBKS12170.389
3RCB13170.255
4MI13161.292

After RCB’s defeat against SRH on Friday, GT will seal a top two finish if they beat bottom-of-the-table CSK on Sunday in Ahmedabad.

Two wins for PBKS will see them finish top of the table. One win from their last two games can still be enough to finish in the top two, depending on how RCB fare against LSG. If PBKS and RCB win one game each, it will come down to net run rate.

So, Mumbai Indians need a lot to go their way to finish in the top 2. Along with beating PBKS at Jaipur to take them to 18 points, MI require two of the following scenarios to happen:

  • CSK beat GT.
  • RCB lose their last match against LSG.
  • PBKS lose to DC.

Let’s take the scenario of LSG beating RCB and PBKS losing to DC. If MI then beat PBKS, MI will finish second thanks to their superior net run rate.

Here is how the final table would look:

The IPL playoffs are scheduled to begin with Qualifier 1 on Thursday 29th May at Mullanpur.
