Pakistan vs Australia 4th ODI Preview Dream11. PAK vs AUS 4th ODI Preview Dream11 Prediction
Another day, another one-sided match. The tide looked like it could possibly turn in Abu Dhabi, but it was not to be.
Pakistan were a bit of a let down again. Sure, they have a number of players rested, but they have failed to play as a unit for three straight games. They had a hold on Australia’s scoring rate in the third ODI, but poor death bowling and fielding saw the total cross 250. In Abu Dhabi, that is almost always a winning score. So, what does Dubai have in store for Pakistan?
Again, no credit can be taken away from Australia. The bans of Steve Smith and David Warner officially end today, but the Aussies are doing just fine. With six straight wins and a World Cup just around the corner, there is no such thing as a dead rubber, with Aaron Finch’s men surely keen to keep the run going. They overcame Pakistan’s bowling challenge well in Abu Dhabi, before a masterclass with the ball delivered victory. Will it be 4-0?

Key to a Pakistan win
Chasing is difficult in Abu Dhabi, but the same can’t be said in Dubai. The team batting second has won seven of the last 10 completed ODIs at the ground, which puts significant onus on Pakistan’s batsmen. They were poor in the third ODI, losing three wickets in the first seven overs to render the chase of 267 just about gone. If they are tasked with setting a score, intent at all stages of the innings is vital. Imam-ul-Haq must build on his last-game 46, and Shan Masood (or Abid Ali) and Haris Sohail have to overcome Pat Cummins. With Umar Akmal (albeit frustrating), Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim capable of finding the fence, Pakistan need a strong platform based on good strike rotation.
However, can Pakistan deliver with the ball? Usman Khan Shinwari and Junaid Khan helped Pakistan finally pose a threat this series, bowling well with a mix of fuller and back-of-a-length deliveries. Aaron Finch remains a thorn in the side, and if Pakistan can dismiss him early, it puts pressure on the likes of Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh, both coming off low scores. With Imad Wasim, Haris Sohail and Yasir Shah all bowling pretty well last time out, a good start can be built on. Will Mohammad Hasnain be given another chance? If so, can he find his feet after two tough outings?
Key to an Australia win
In total contrast to Pakistan, Australia have been excellent in all aspects of the game. Their six ODI wins and two series triumphs in a row have been built on cohesive batting displays, where a number of players are contributing to the cause. If it wasn’t Aaron Finch in India, it was Usman Khawaja. If Aaron Finch was struggling for fluency in Abu Dhabi, Peter Handscomb and Glenn Maxwell gave the innings impetus. In Dubai, how Australia handle Pakistan’s two left-armers will be key, which then sets a platform for tackling spin in the middle overs.
Also, how much will Australia miss Pat Cummins? He hasn’t missed a beat in the two games he was rested from, but will now be rested from the final two games. Nathan Coulter-Nile will be tasked with picking up early wickets, which is what Cummins did beautifully in the third ODI. Jason Behrendhorff was steady, and will be tasked with building further pressure on Pakistan’s top order, paving the way for the spinners to come in a turn the screws. Can Australia build pressure through dots, and then take advantage of the get-out shots?
Possible Playing 11
Pakistan could make a couple of changes. One change they could make is Mohammad Hasnain, who has not taken a wicket in his first two ODIs. Of course, he is only 18, so how Pakistan manage him here will be interesting. Do they give him the chance to bounce back, given the series is gone? Or do they possibly play three left-arm seamers? Also, Abid Ali could make his debut, replacing Shan Masood.
Pakistan: 1. Imam-ul-Haq, 2. Shan Masood/Abid Ali, 3. Haris Sohail, 4. Umar Akmal, 5. Mohammad Rizwan (wk), 6. Shoaib Malik, 7. Imad Wasim, 8. Yasir Shah, 9. Junaid Khan, 10. Usman Khan Shinwari, 11. Mohammad Hasnain/Mohammad Amir
Australia have a fine combination going, but a change they could make is giving a chance to Ashton Turner. Also, Pat Cummins has been rested from the final two matches.
Australia: 1. Usman Khawaja, 2. Aaron Finch (c), 3. Shaun Marsh, 4. Peter Handscomb, 5. Marcus Stoinis, 6. Glenn Maxwell, 7. Alex Carey (wk), 8. Nathan Coulter-Nile, 9. Adam Zampa, 10. Nathan Lyon, 11. Jason Behrendhorff
