Just days after failing to defend 245 in Hyderabad, Punjab Kings (PBKS) successfully defended the lowest total in IPL history – 111, bundling Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) out for 95 for an unbelievable win.
A year ago, PBKS pulled off the highest successful chase against KKR. Quite the contrast.
Punjab Kings not defending 245 in one game and then defending 111 in the next is one of the incredible things you'll see in T20 cricket.
You would have been forgiven for switching over to watch something else at the innings break when PBKS were bowled out so cheaply. You would have been forgiven even more at the end of the KKR powerplay, where they were sitting pretty at 56/2.
With Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi going solidly, KKR had sights on a big net run rate boost. In the blink of an eye, they were relying on Andre Russell just to get them the victory. Led superbly by Shreyas Iyer, PBKS kept at it, smelling more blood in the water as each KKR wicket fell.
KKR would no doubt be kicking themselves for throwing away two points, but PBKS are to be commended. They could have easily gone through the motions and put the blame on their disappointing batting performance. However, on a surface offering spin and some uneven bounce, PBKS knew that one wicket could bring a cluster.
“We actually said to the guys at the halfway mark really small chases like this are sometimes the hardest,” said PBKS coach Ricky Ponting after the match, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo. “The wicket wasn’t easy. You can see that right through the game was definitely holding up.”
Yuzvendra Chahal, who has had an under-par IPL to date by his lofty standards, was the star with the ball. His four wickets swung the game in PBKS’ favour. The legspinner had the ball on a string, turning it off the pitch after getting the ball to drop beautifully. Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh in particular were done by Chahal’s revolutions.
Incredibly, Chahal had to pass a fitness test on his shoulder to play. “He had a fitness test before the game today with his shoulder injury that he picked up in his last game and I grabbed him at the warm-up, looked him in the eye and said, ‘mate, are you OK?’ He said, ‘Coach, I’m 100% alright, let me out there,’ and what a spell of bowling,” said Ponting.
Reactions: PBKS defend 111, sparking great scenes in Mullanpur
Shreyas Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal were the main subjects of praise from fans following an incredible victory. This kind of victory can define a season, and who knows how far PBKS can go. This could very well be their time.
“We just said that wins like this are always the sweetest one if we can pull this off, then this would be as good as a win most guys have probably been involved in. I’ve coached a lot of games in the IPL and that might just be about the best win that I’ve ever had.”
KKR were also criticised for their capitulation. They collapsed from 62/2 in the eighth over to 95 all-out in the 16th.
USA cricketer Aaron Jones enjoyed the match, as did millions of others. Here are some of the reactions to PBKS defending 111 against KKR, including Harsha Bhogle’s praise for Yuzvendra Chahal. “One of the greats of the IPL has shown his class. @yuzi_chahal. Wow!!,” he wrote.
One of the greats of the #IPL has shown his class. @yuzi_chahal. Wow!!
No doubt that Shreyas Iyer is the best captain of IPL 2025. Just reiterating the point. Always looks for wickets. Never easy to motivate a side after being bundled out for a paltry score.
Not basing it on whether PBKS will qualify for the playoffs.
Crazy part is Punjab pulling it off. You would back the likes of KKR, MI, CSK to pull off such heists and PBKS to lose such game but they have managed something special.
This was impossible match, won single handed by the Yuzvendra Chahal.
I don't think there is any low score defend in last 3-4 years of IPL, Shreyas Iyer must be proud of their boys, he is brilliant with his changes.pic.twitter.com/wjRT55L5xk

The same team couldn’t defend 242, but today they defended 112. The beauty of pitches — of course, KKR's brain-dead decision helped them, but the pitch was showing its magic
Delhi Capitals(DC) are facing a first heading into the 32nd match of IPL 2025. They lost for the first time, going down in a thriller against Mumbai Indians over the weekend. They’ll be looking to bounce back at home against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
DC had their chances against MI. They were in a great position throughout the run chase, but couldn’t ice things at the end. MI were more desperate, and it showed as DC lost a few key moments.
Here, Axar Patel’s team will face a desperate RR. The Royals were poor against Royal Challengers Bengaluru over the weekend, batting quite conservatively at times to finish with 173 despite being only four down. They didn’t come close to defending it.
RR have lost four of their six games to sit third-last. They need a response here as two wins at the halfway mark can be a very difficult situation to come back from in the playoffs race.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Delhi pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 32nd match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 32nd Match: DC vs RR Possible Playing XIIs
Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi Pitch Report and Weather
It was an excellent batting surface for the DC-MI match on Sunday. MI struck 205/5 and DC were well on course to chase the target.
However, there was assistance for the spinners, with Mitchell Santner turning the contest with his left-arm spin. Expect the spinners to have a say here.
A hot evening is forecast with dew likely. A ball change may be an important factor in the second innings.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for DC vs RR: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch
Top wicket-keeper picks:
KL Rahul missed out against MI, but the keeper-batter has been in superb form to start the season. He has a strong record against RR: 16 inns, 713 runs, avg. 50.93, SR 132.53.
Sanju Samson is RR’s top scorer this season with 193 at an average of 32.16 and strike rate of 140.87. He’s made a lot of starts, but has not crossed 50 in his past five games. He is capable of firing today.
Key batter picks:
Karun Nair has been in magnificent form across formats this year. He has struck centuries in First Class and List A matches in 2025, before hammering a superb 89 against MI a few nights ago.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored two fifties in his past three games. His battle against Mitchell Starc will be key.
Top all-rounder picks:
Riyan Parag is scoring runs without playing the substantial knock yet. He has made scores of 25, 37, 43*, 26 and 30 in his past five games.
Vipraj Nigam has been one of the surprise packets of IPL 2025. He is not only a key finisher with the bat but is also a wicket-taker. He has amassed 373 Dream11 fantasy points so far this season.
Top bowler picks:
Kuldeep Yadav continues to bowl beautifully. Pick Kuldeep with confidence on a pitch that can offer turn against a somewhat nervy batting lineup with a number of left-handers in it.
Mitchell Starc has gone wicketless in his past two games but still has nine wickets in five outings this season. He has six wickets in five innings against RR in the IPL.
Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams
Jofra Archer has shown glimpses of his best in recent games.
Mukesh Kumar can be a good differential pick. He has dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal twice in nine balls. He also bowls in the crunch death overs which can bring fantasy points.
Dhruv Jurel is striking at 155.88 this season. He can be a handy differential pick if RR bats first.
Abishek Porel is owned by about 45% of players in Dream11. He can be a differential pick as he opens the batting and will be looking to get off to a quick start.
Axar Patel missed out in the last game against MI, but he can offer value with both bat and ball. RR do have a number of left-handers that could limit his bowling output, however.
Other Stats and Important Matchups

The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is underway, and the excitement continues to build as the playoffs race heats up. Since the tournament was inaugurated in 2008, the IPL has become a source of excitement and thrill for the players and supporters.
The growth in the IPL has seen more competitive teams, providing more surprises and entertainment. According to 10crics.com, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans are among the favourites for the 2025 tournament as RCB, PBKS and DC have aspirations of winning their first title.
Since the start of 2024, the tournament has witnessed one high-scoring match after another thanks to the incredible skill and range batters now have. Several 200+ team totals have been registered in the league.
Highest team totals in the IPL: Who is at the top?
On that note, let us look at the five highest team totals in the history of IPL.
1. 287 for 3 by Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, IPL 2024
Sunrisers Hyderabad dominate the list of highest team totals in IPL history. With power hitters like Travis Head, Abishesk Sharma and Henreich Klasen, SRH are capable of piling enough runs and give opponents nightmares. They are the side with the most 200+ team totals.
SRH registered the highest-ever team total in IPL 2024 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They amassed a massive 287 for 3 thanks to explosive batting from their top order.
Travis Head scored a scintillating 102 off 41 balls, smashing nine boundaries and eight sixes. Heinrich Klaasen made a quick fire 67 off 31 balls, while Abdul Samad provided the final flourish with a blistering 37 off just 10 deliveries.
RCB bowlers were taken to the cleaners, with Reece Topley conceding 68 runs in his four overs, while Lockie Ferguson went for 52 runs.
2. 286 for 6 by Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2025
Sunrisers Hyderabad began their IPL 2025 season with a bang. They posted a mammoth 286 for 6 in 20 overs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad in their opening match of the 2025 tournament. With that, they also became the first team to register a 200+ total in the 18th season of the league.
Opening the innings, Head provided SRH with a quickfire start by scoring 67 off 31 balls. Klaasen (34 off 14) and Nitish Reddy (30 off 15) broke the back of RR bowlers. England fast bowler Jofra Archer proved to be the most expensive, conceding 76 runs in his four overs whilst going wicketless.
Ishan Kishan emerged as the hero for SRH, who did not spare the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. The wicketkeeper-batter notched up an unbeaten 106 off 47 balls, hitting six sixes and 11 boundaries. It was also the maiden IPL century for Ishan, who also became the first SRH batter to score a century on his debut game for the franchise.
277 for 3 by Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, IPL 2024
Sunrisers Hyderabad were a formidable force in the 2024 edition. Mumbai Indians bowlers were at their receiving end as they piled up 277 for 3 in 20 overs.
Head once again took the charge, smashing 62 off 24 balls. He was complemented by another explosive hitter Abhishek Sharma, who took just 23 balls to blast 63, recording the fastest fifty for SRH. Klaasen was equally ruthless, hitting an unbeaten 80 off 34 balls to complete the SRH carnage.
272 for 7 by Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Capitals, IPL 2024
Kolkata Knight Riders makes a rare appearance in the list dominated by SRH. KKR posted 272 for 7 against Delhi Capitals at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, which was then the second-highest team total in IPL history.
The colossal total was helped by half-centuries by Sunil Narine (85) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (54). Phil Salt and Narine provided KKR with a sensational start, accumulating 60 runs in under five overs before Salt fell to Anrich Nortje.
Narine scored at a staggering strike rate of 217.95 as he formed a 104-run partnership with Raghuvanshi at a run rate of 13 per over. All-rounders Andre Russell (41 off 19 balls), and Rinku Singh (26 off eight balls) provided the finishing touch. Nortje was the most expensive bowler for Delhi Capitals, conceding 59 runs in four overs.
266 for 7 by Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals, IPL 2024
Travis Head led the SRH carnage as they notched up 266 for 7 against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. SRH stormed to 125 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay – the highest powerplay score in IPL history.
The Aussie batter scored an 89 off 32 balls, while Abhishek Sharma notched up 46 off just 12 balls forging an impressive 131-run partnership in just 6.2 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed contributed with an unbeaten 59 off 29 balls to help SRH post another giant total.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be against each other in the 31st game of IPL 2025. Punjab Kings have lost track in their last three games while KKR have picked up pace in their previous three matches. It promises to be a cracking encounter between two strong teams.
Punjab Kings lost their last game against SRH by eight wickets even after scoring 246 runs. Lockie Ferguson’s injury was a big blow, but their bowling has been below average in the last few games. Yuzvendra Chahal struggled, and Arshdeep Singh has failed to pick up wickets with the new ball, similarly to Marco Jansen. Batting-wise, things are going great for them with Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh and Nehal Wadehra doing well.
However, Glenn Maxwell’s form is a concern. Punjab is in the 6th position with three wins and two defeats. They will be eager to win this game and move up in the points table.
Kolkata Knight Riders have won two of their last three games. They defeated CSK in a one-sided contest by eight wickets in their last match. The bowlers have been in top form and Ajinkya Rahane has led the batting group quite well.
However, there is room for improvement for KKR too. Andre Russell is yet to fire and Venkatesh Iyer has been hot and cold as well. Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora have been brilliant with the ball for the defending champions. They just need consistency from the batters.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Mullanpur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 31st match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 31st Match: PBKS vs KKR Possible Playing XIIs
Azmatullah Omarzai or Xavier Bartlett may replace Lockie Ferguson in this game.
Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium Mullanpur Pitch Report and Weather
From what we’ve seen at Mullanpur so far this season, there will be movement for the pacers with the new ball and the batters will enjoy their time at the crease. Priyansh Arya scored a hundred in the last game played here. There will be little to no help for the spinners and batters are expected to dominate the game after the new ball burst.
Scores in the range of 190-210 are expected and teams will look to chase if they win the toss. The weather will be clear with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 28-29 degrees Celsius at the start of the game.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for PBKS vs KKR: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Note: Try to pick more batters and all-rounders if you are playing on Dream11. The new point system rewards the batters heavily.
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
Prabhsimran Singh looked in excellent touch in the last game. He will take the attack to the opposition and can score big in the powerplay itself. He scored a 20-ball 54 against KKR last season.
Quinton de Kock is another important pick for this match. He will have to be cautious against Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen, but he’ll be in for a big score if he gets past them.
Key batter picks:
Shreyas Iyer will be against his former side in this game. He has been in sublime form this season with 250 runs in five games at an average of 83.33 and strike rate of 208.33 with three fifties to his name. He will be a top C/VC pick.
Ajinkya Rahane has 204 runs in six games this season with two fifties to his name. He has looked in good touch and has played aggressively. Rahane will be an important batter for his side at number 3.
Priyansh Arya scored a brilliant century in the last game on this ground. He has been in top form in the last couple of games and will be a good fantasy pick. KKR will attack him with Vaibhav Arora and maybe even Sunil Narine in the powerplay.
Top all-rounder picks:
Sunil Narinewill be a top fantasy pick for this game. He single-handedly thrashed CSK in the last match. He will fetch points from both bat and ball. Narine has 34 wickets and 251 runs against the Punjab Kings in the IPL.
Marcus Stoinis will do the late-hitting duties and should bowl 2-3 overs in this game. He can be a top differential pick for this game. Stoinis struck four sixes in four balls against Mohammed Shami in the last over of the last match.
Key bowler picks:
Arshdeep Singhhas 10 wickets in nine games against KKR. He will fancy his chances against KKR’s top three. The left-arm seamer can pick up wickets for fun on his day.
Harshit Rana will be an important bowler for KKR. He has bowled well with both new ball and then towards the end of the innings. Rana will be a top fantasy pick, especially while bowling second.
Varun Chakaravarthy has eight wickets against Punjab in eight matches. He will fancy his chances against Punjba’s middle order as they all like to bat aggressively which will keep Varun in the game.
Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team
Yuzvendra Chahal has 29 wickets in 22 games against KKR. His current form has been abysmal but he can be a game-changer in fantasy cricket in this match. Try him in the big leagues.
Andre Russell will be a good fantasy pick if Spencer Johnson is not playing as in he becomes the third pacer in that case. His form with the bat is below average but try him while bowling first.
Venkatesh Iyer vs Marco Jansen: 18 deliveries, 14 runs, 3 dismissals.
Marcus Stoinis vs Varun Chakaravarthy: 12 deliveries, 8 runs, 2 dismissals.

On form, it is easy to predict the 30th match of IPL 2025. However, this league can conjure up some surprises, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are desperately hoping for a turnaround in fortunes as their season hangs by a thread.
CSK are coming off one of their worst performances in recent memory, thrashed at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders after a timid, uninspiring batting performance. They lacked any intent and belief, crawling to 103/9 – a total that KKR ate up in just 61 deliveries.
The bottom-placed CSK now travel to Lucknow to play the in-form Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). LSG have surprised many this season given how depleted their bowling stocks looked. The batting has been outstanding, with Nicholas Pooran out of this world, along with excellent contributions from Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh.
LSG, currently in fourth, can move up to top spot at the halfway mark of their season. CSK sit six points outside the top four and need a significant turnaround if they are to make a run for the playoffs. Given the difference in firepower between the two batting lineups, a CSK victory in Lucknow looks unlikely unless their bowlers can deliver the goods.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Lucknow pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 Prediction for the 30th match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 30th Match: LSG vs CSK Possible Playing XIIs
Mitch Marsh missed the LSG-GT match as his daughter was unwell. If he returns, he will slot into the XII in place of Himmat Singh. According to Cricbuzz, Marsh is expected to play.
Lucknow Super Giants: 1. Aiden Markram, 2. Mitchell Marsh/Himmat Singh, 3. Nicholas Pooran, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Ayush Badoni, 6. David Miller, 7. Abdul Samad, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Akash Deep, 10. Ravi Bishnoi, 11. Avesh Khan, 12. Digvesh Rathi
CSK have many more questions. Will they move away from the tactics that have failed so far? Is it time for Shaik Rasheed to be handed a debut?
Chennai Super Kings: 1. Devon Conway, 2. Rachin Ravindra, 3. Rahul Tripathi, 4. Vijay Shankar, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. Ravindra Jadeja, 7. MS Dhoni (c & wk), 8. R Ashwin, 9. Noor Ahmad, 10. Khaleel Ahmed, 11. Matheesha Pathirana, 12. Anshul Kamboj/Mukesh Choudhary
Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Lucknow Pitch Report and Weather
Conditions have been excellent for batting in Lucknow in IPL 2025. There have been scores of 180/6, 203/8 and 171/7 so far on this ground. The two scores below 200 were chased down comfortably.
A hot and clear evening is forecast with a chance of dew in the second innings. Expect the captain who wins the toss to chase, but LSG could be tempted to bat first as a big score can bat CSK out of the game.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for LSG vs CSK: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch
Top wicket-keeper picks:
Nicholas Pooran has hit nearly as many sixes (31) as the entire CSK team (32) this season. The dynamic left-hander is the top run-scorer in IPL 2025 (349) at an incredible strike rate of 215.43.
Key batter picks:
Mitch Marsh, if selected, is a top Dream11 pick. The Aussie has struck four fifties in five matches this season to sit third in the Orange Cap race (265 runs, avg. 53.00, SR 180.27).
LSG will test CSK with spin, so Shivam Dube is the key cog in the lineup. The left-hander has scored 42 and 31* in his past two games.
Top all-rounder picks:
After a slow start to the season, Aiden Markram has found form, striking 53, 47 and 58 in his last three games. Also, Markram could bowl given CSK’s struggles against spin and number of left-handers in their lineup.
Key bowling picks:
Matheesha Pathirana didn’t end up playing in the last game as CSK batted terribly and brought in Deepak Hooda as the impact sub. Expect CSK to throw the ball to Pathirana as soon as Pooran walks in given his great head-to-head record against the left-hander in T20s: 39 balls, 46 runs, four wickets.
CSK have been woeful against spin this season, so watch out for Digvesh Rathi. CSK have lost the most wickets to spin, and Rathi is LSG’s second-highest wicket taker in IPL 2025.
Noor Ahmad is the top wicket-taker in IPL 2025 with 12. He is striking every 10 balls. The left-arm spinner has strong matchups against Aiden Markram (1/20 off 25 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (2/16 off 30 balls).
Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams
Since the start of IPL 2024, Rachin Ravindra has been dismissed six times by short-pitched deliveries in 74 balls (97). Expect Shardul Thakur especially to test him with this length.
Rachin Ravindra can go big if he gets through the powerplay. He is CSK’s top scorer this season with 149 runs.
R Ashwin can be a differential pick considering matchups. The offspinner has dismissed Nicholas Pooran three times in 43 balls in all T20s, conceding just 40.
Ravi Bishnoi is not having his best season, but he is worth considering given CSK’s struggles against spin.
Stats and Other Important Matchups
Head-to-head: Matches 5, LSG 3, CSK 1, N/R 1.
Khaleel Ahmed vs Nicholas Pooran in the IPL: 35 balls, 67 runs, two wickets.
MS Dhoni vs LSG: 4 inns, 60 runs, SR 315.79.
Avesh Khan vs MS Dhoni in the IPL: 22 balls, 34 runs, two wickets.

The IPL 2025 bandwagon moves to Jaipur for the first time – the 28th match of the tournament. Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking to get off to a winning start at this ground this tournament, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are aiming to continue their superb away form.
After a difficult start to the season, RR won two straight games before another defeat last game against Gujarat. They were never in the game as the bowlers – except Jofra Archer – struggled for control, before they lost far too many wickets regularly with the bat.
RR need Yashasvi Jaiswal to fire, while more will be expected of Nitish Rana and Dhruv Jurel. Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer all showed promising signs in Ahmedabad that they will be seeking to build on.
RCB also need to pick themselves up after a last-start defeat. They were beaten easily at the hands of Delhi Capitals, with their batsmen kept in check after a rapid start by Phil Salt. On what is expected to be a good batting pitch, keeping the momentum going will be key, plus making inroads into the RR top order.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Jaipur pitch report, fantasy cricket tips, and Dream11 prediction for the 28th match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 28th Match: RR vs RCB Possible Playing XIIs
RCB could stick with the same combination, but Devdutt Padikkal and Liam Livingstone are under pressure to perform.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 1. Phil Salt (OS), 2. Virat Kohli, 3. Devdutt Padikkal, 4. Rajat Patidar (c), 5. Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6. Liam Livingstone (OS), 7. Tim David (OS), 8. Krunal Pandya, 9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10. Josh Hazlewood (OS), 11. Yash Dayal, 12. Suyash Sharma
Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jairpur Pitch Report and Weather
The average first innings score in five matches in IPL 2025 was 187.2. Teams batting second won three of the five games.
With hot and clear conditions forecast, the team who wins the toss is likely to bowl given there is a chance of dew. Expect a true batting pitch with some movement for the seamers in the first over or two.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for RR vs RCB: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch
Top wicket-keeper picks:
Phil Salt was looking in outstanding form in the last game (37 off 17 balls) before he was run out. He has scored 51 runs off 32 balls against Maheesh Theekshana in T20s (one wicket).
Sanju Samson is striking at 150.84 this season. He averages just 23 in his career vs RCB, but enjoys batting at this ground: 31 inns, 921 runs, avg. 38.38, SR 136.85.
Key batter picks:
Virat Kohli is RCB’s top-scorer this season (186) with two fifties in five games. He has never been dismissed by Jofra Archer in T20s (66 balls, 86 runs).
Yashasvi Jaiswal has not got going consistently this season, but he is worth a pick in Dream11. He has 448 runs on this ground (avg. 34.46, SR 149.33) and has smashed 85 runs off 45 balls without dismissal against Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Rajat Patidar is striking at 161.73 in IPL 2025 (186 runs). He will look to take on the Royals’ spinners given how good he has been against spin in the IPL since the start of 2024: 16 inns, 285 runs, avg. 95.00, SR 186.3.
Top all-rounder picks:
Riyan Parag is the most reliable all-rounder pick for Dream11. He has made scores of 23, 37, 43* and 26 in his past four matches. He will be looking to go on here.
Key bowler picks:
Josh Hazlewood is RCB’s leading wicket-taker this season (8). The relentless pace bowler will be key against an RR top order that has been inconsistent in IPL 2025.
Jofra Archer has found his rhythm. The pace bowler has taken five wickets in his past three games.
Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be key upfront. He has dismissed Sanju Samson four times for 118 runs in 92 balls in the IPL.
Sandeep Sharma can be a great differential pick. He has wonderful numbers against Virat Kohli (see more below).
Liam Livingstone can be frustrating but has the potential to deliver fantasy points. RR have left-handers in their lineup, and RCB could look to use Livingstone’s offspin.
Yash Dayal has taken at least one wicket in four of the five matches so far.
Jitesh Sharma is another strong differential option given his ability to play impactful knocks. He is striking at 150+ this season.
Wanindu Hasaranga has taken six wickets in his past three matches. He could also get an opportunity with the bat, especially if RR bats first.
Other Stats and Important Matchups
Head-to-head: Matches 32, RR 14, RCB 15, N/R 3.
RR (189/4) beat RCB (183/3) by six wickets with five balls to spare in IPL 2024. Virat Kohli (113 off 72 balls) and Sanju Samson (69 off 42 balls) hit runs.
Sandeep Sharma vs Virat Kohli in the IPL: 74 balls, 104 runs, seven wickets.
Krunal Pandya has taken just four wickets in 12 matches against RR, but he is in wicket-taking form this season.

The 27th match of IPL 2025 is a critical one for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Pat Cummins’ team, who entered the tournament as one of the favourites, have lost four straight games to sit rooted at the bottom of the table.
The concerning aspect for SRH is the manner of the defeats. They have been beaten very convincingly four times to sit with a net run rate of -1.629. However, if there is a team that can go on a run, it’s SRH, but they must get going.
Today, they face the in form Punjab Kings (PBKS) who are sitting pretty in the top four. PBKS’ astute squad building in the auction has been on show, none more so than in the last game where they scored over 200 despite five of their top six registering single figures.
Priyansh Arya’s superb hundred was at the heart of things against CSK, but the likes of Shashank Singh and Marco Jansen gives Punjab great batting depth. And, if the bowlers can exploit SRH’s batting worries, another win will be on its way.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Hyderabad pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 27th match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 27th Match: SRH vs PBKS Possible Playing XIIs
SRH could look to swap Kamindu Mendis out for either Wiaan Mulder or Adam Zampa.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Travis Head (OS), 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Ishan Kishan, 4. Nitish Kumar Reddy, 5. Heinrich Klaasen (OS, wk), 6. Aniket Verma, 7. Abhinav Manohar, 8. Pat Cummins (c, OS), 9. Mohammed Shami, 10. Harshal Patel, 11. Zeeshan Ansari, 12. Adam Zampa/Wiaan Mulder/Kamindu Mendis
Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Hyderabad Pitch Report and Weather
It wasn’t your usual T20 Hyderabad pitch when SRH played GT last week. Spinners found grip and deliveries were holding in the surface.
There has been some rain around in recent days, which could aid swing and movement up top before easing into an excellent batting pitch. The weather is expected to be hot and fine for this game.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for SRH vs PBKS: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch
Top wicket-keeper picks:
SRH needs Heinrich Klaasen’s spin-hitting. He has smashed 133 runs off 60 balls against Yuzvendra Chahal in all T20s (three wickets).
Key batter picks:
SRH have struggled with the ball this season and Priyansh Arya can pounce. Pick Priyansh in your Dream11 team with confidence especially if PBKS bats first. He has smashed 103 (42) and 47 (23) batting first compared to 8 (9) and 0 (1) batting second.
Shreyas Iyer has missed out in his last two games, but he still remains a strong Dream11 pick. Since the start of 2024, Iyer has scored 519 runs at an average of 47.2 and strike rate of 160.7 in the IPL.
Travis Head is a top candidate for c/vc in Dream11, but he has been dismissed three times in the powerplay in five games this season. If he gets through this period, he can make a substantial score.
Top all-rounders:
Is this the day Abhishek Sharma gets going? He has scored 173 runs in six innings vs PBKS at an average of 34.60 and strike rate of 164.76.
Glenn Maxwell is yet to get going with the bat this season. But, SRH’s struggling attack can be the catalyst for an impactful innings. Plus, Maxwell can get opportunities with the ball against SRH’s left-handers, including Abhishek Sharma whom he has dismissed once in three balls in the IPL.
SRH have lost 12 powerplay wickets in five games, so Marco Jansen can also be an attractive fantasy pick.
Key bowlers:
Arshdeep Singh has excellent head-to-head numbers against SRH batsmen. He has dismissed Travis Head twice in four balls in the IPL, conceding just one run. He has also dismissed Ishan Kishan three times in 15 balls in the IPL (31 runs) and Heinrich Klaasen three times in 16 balls in all T20s (19 runs).
Pat Cummins has struggled at the death this season, but can contribute fantasy points with bat and ball, especially if SRH bats first.
Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Tips
Mohammed Shami has kept Shreyas Iyer quiet in the IPL in the past (21 balls, 12 runs, one wicket). He has also dismissed Prabhsimran Singh once in two balls and Glenn Maxwell once in eight balls (19 runs) in the IPL.
Nehal Wadhera has looked in fine form. Worth a pick if PBKS bat first. Same with Shashank Singh.
Other Stats and Important Matchups
Head-to-head: Matches 23, SRH 16, PBKS 7.
Overall against SRH, Arshdeep Singh has taken 14 wickets in 10 games.
Ishan Kishan averages 19.00 with a strike rate of 116.51 in 13 matches against PBKS (247 runs).
Arshdeep Singh vs Abhishek Sharma in the IPL: 29 balls, 48 runs, no wickets.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 26th match of IPL 2025. Both sides have been in good form, and will be eyeing a win in this game to strengthen their position in the points table.
LSG are fifth in the table with three wins from five games. They’ve won their last two matches and they’ll move to the third spot if they win this game. Nicholas Pooran has been exceptional, along with Mitchell Marsh. But Lucknow’s issue is that no other batter has performed consistently, although Aiden Markram has performed well in the last two wins.
With the ball, LSG have held their own for the most part. Shardul Thakur has picked wickets consistently. Akash Deep and Avesh Khan will have to step up as well. Digvesh Rathi has been brilliant but Ravi Bishnoi’s form is a headache for LSG. Can he deliver here?
Meanwhile, GT are at the top of the points table with four wins in five games. They’ve won four matches on the trot after losing their season opener against PBKS. Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler have been the best batters for GT and they need some consistency from Shubman Gill. Sherfane Rutherford has been an important player with the bat and Shahrukh Khan’s form in the last game will be a big boost for them.
Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and R Sai Kishore have been exceptional with the ball for the Titans. Rashid Khan picked up two wickets in the last game but he has been far from his best. If he gets going, it will another point for threat for GT.
IPL 2025 26th Match: LSG vs GT Probable Playing XIIs
LSG is expected to be unchanged.
Lucknow Super Giants: 1. Aiden Markram, 2. Mitchell Marsh, 3. Nicholas Pooran, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Ayush Badoni, 6. David Miller, 7. Abdul Samad, 8. Shardul Thakur, 9. Akash Deep, 10. Avesh Khan, 11. Digvesh Singh Rathi 12. Ravi Bishnoi (Impact)
Gujarat Titans may bring in Washington Sundar for this game.
Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill (c), 2. Sai Sudharsan, 3. Jos Buttler (wk), 4. Shahrukh Khan, 5. Sherfane Rutherford, 6. Washington Sundar, 7. Rahul Tewatia, 8. Rashid Khan, 9. Mohammed Siraj, 10. R Sai Kishore, 11. Prasidh Krishna 12. Arshad Khan (Impact)
Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium Pitch Report and Weather
The pitch at Ekana has been a good one for batting and it has something for the bowlers as well. There will be little-to-no movement with the new ball as it’s a day game. The spinners are expected to get good assistance and the big dimensions will also suit them.
LSG has won both the games played here this season while defending, so batting first won’t be a bad option either. Scores in the range of 180-200 are expected in this game.
It will be a partly cloudy day in Lucknow with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 34-35 degrees Celsius at the start of the game.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for LSG vs GT: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
Nicholas Pooran is currently the highest run-scorer in IPL 2025 with 288 runs in five games. He is averaging 72 with a strike rate of 225, including three fifties. Pooran will be a must in your fantasy teams.
Jos Buttler has 202 runs in five games this season at an average of 50.50 and strike rate of 162.90 with a couple of fifties. He will be a key batter for his side at number three.
Key batter picks:
Mitchell Marsh is another in-form batter for LSG with 265 runs in five matches. He is averaging 53 and has a strike rate of 180.27 with four fifties. Marsh will look to attack from ball one and can take the game away from Gujarat in the powerplay itself. His battle with Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna will be key.
Shubman Gill has 148 runs in five games at an average of 37 with one fifty till now. A big knock is due from the Gujarat skipper and this might be the game where he goes big. Gill will be a must in your fantasy teams.
Sai Sudharsan has been very consistent at the top for the Titans. He has scored runs in almost every game this year. He averages 54.60 at a strike rate of 151.66 with three fifties for his 273 runs this season.
Top all-rounder picks:
Aiden Markram has gotten off to starts but has failed to convert them into big scores. He’s not giving a lot of promise in fantasy cricket for this game, especially with Gujarat’s new ball attack. But he is the only safe pick from the all-rounder(s) section.
Key bowler picks:
Mohammed Sirajhas 10 wickets at a strike rate of 12 this season. He has been brilliant for Gujarat, especially with the new ball. Siraj will be a key bowler for Gujarat against Lucknow’s top order.
Rashid Khan has eight wickets in five games against LSG. He picked up two wickets in the last game. Rashid has a good record against LSG’s batting unit (see matchups). He’s not in the best of form, but Rashid is a proven performer and can deliver from a fantasy perspective.
R Sai Kishore has 10 wickets in five games in IPL 2025. He has been very consistent for Gujarat and will be a good fantasy pick despite LSG having as many as three lefties in their middle order.
Prasidh Krishna has been excellent for Gujarat in the middle overs this season. He has bowled at a good pace and has been spot on his his line and lengths. He has a good variation as well.
Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team
Sherfane Rutherford will be a key batter for Gujarat in the middle order. He has been in great touch and likes to take on the bowling. Rutherford can take down the likes of Ravi Bishnoi and Digvesh Rathi in the middle overs.
Washington Sundar (if selected)
Shahrukh Khan
Digvesh Rathi
Avesh Khan (Bowl first)
Akash Deep (GLs)

The 25th match of IPL 2025 already feels do-or-die for the struggling Chennai Super Kings (CSK). To break a four-game losing streak, CSK will have to beat defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who themselves need a win after a tight loss against Lucknow Super Giants.
So, it’s safe to say this is a very important clash.
CSK have struggled in every facet this season. With the bat, powerplay intent and quality finishing has been non-existent. In another blow, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is out of the tournament after fracturing his elbow. On the bowling front, they have had good moments, but are unable to maintain the intensity for the full 20 overs. A key reason for this is their woeful fielding, with numerous drops – including five against Punjab Kings – costing them dearly.
KKR are looking for consistency. They have embarked on a win-loss pattern so far, and if that continues, they will win this game. Ajinkya Rahane’s team were favourites to chase LSG’s 239 at the halfway mark, but lost their way in terms of execution and tactics, arguably missing a trick by not sending either Rinku Singh or Andre Russell earlier.
CSK face a conundrum. If it’s a turning Chepauk track, KKR have the spinners to take advantage. If it’s a true batting track, CSK lack the firepower currently compared to their opponents.
In this article, we will look at the possible XIIs, Chepauk pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 prediction for the 25th match of IPL 2025.
IPL 2025 25th Match: CSK vs KKR Possible Playing XIIs
Ruturaj Gaikwad is out of the tournament due to injury. At number three, CSK could bring in Rahul Tripathi or give a chance to the highly-rated Shaik Rasheed. MS Dhoni will captain the team.
Chennai Super Kings: 1. Devon Conway (OS), 2. Rachin Ravindra (OS), 3. Rahul Tripathi/Shaik Rasheed, 4. Shivam Dube, 5. Vijay Shankar, 6. Ravindra Jadeja, 7. MS Dhoni (c & wk), 8. R Ashwin, 9. Noor Ahmad, 10. Mukesh Choudhary, 11. Khaleel Ahmed, 12. Matheesha Pathirana (OS)
KKR, despite losing three of their five games, look more settled. They may look to bring in Anrich Nortje or Moeen Ali in place of Spencer Johnson.
MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai Pitch Report and Weather
The Chepauk surfaces have been on the slower side, offering assistance to spinners and pace bowlers who execute their cutters well. Despite that, RCB (196/7) and DC (183/6) were able to get above-par totals and defend them very comfortably against CSK.
So, KKR may look to do the same if they win the toss. Another very warm and humid evening is forecast with temperatures above 30 degrees by the time the match starts.
CSK vs KKR Fantasy Cricket Tips: Top Picks/Key Players to Watch
Top wicket-keeper picks:
Devon Conway struggled for his best form in the last game, but he still fetched good points from a fantasy perspective. In eight T20s at Chepauk, Conway has scored 390 runs at an average of 65.00 and strike rate of 133.11.
Key batter picks:
Ajinkya Rahane is in fine form. The skipper is KKR’s leading run-scorer so far with 184 at an average of 36.80 and strike rate of 160.
But, there are a few things to consider before placing the C/VC on Rahane in Dream11. R Ashwin has dismissed him six times in 48 balls in the IPL. Also, Rahane averages just 15.69 in 16 T20 innings at Chepauk.
Rachin Ravindra will be key in the absence of Gaikwad. He is currently CSK’s leading run-scorer this season with 145 (avg. 36.25, SR 133.02).
Top all-rounder picks:
Ravindra Jadeja is not having his best season, but he does have great all-round numbers against KKR: 312 runs, avg. 44.57, SR 143.12 plus 22 wickets at an economy of 7.44.
Sunil Narine averages just 11.18 with the bat against CSK, but has an incredible record against R Ashwin: 39 balls, 94 runs, one wicket. Narine also has 24 wickets at an economy of 6.23 against CSK.
Andre Russell hasn’t been bowling as much, but he has still been in the wickets. Also, since the start of 2014, Russell has smashed 365 runs vs CSK at an average of 40.56 and strike rate of 172.99.
Key bowler picks:
Varun Chakravarthy can be a big factor at Chepauk. He has taken eight wickets at a strike rate of 19.50 on this ground so far.
Khaleel Ahmed against the KKR openers will be a key battle. Since the start of 2024, Quinton de Kock has been dismissed 13 times by left-arm seam in all T20s (avg. 22.7). Khaleel has dismissed Sunil Narine twice in 18 balls in the IPL (27 runs).
Noor Ahmad is currently the top wicket-taker in IPL 2025. He has taken eight wickets in three matches at Chepauk this season.
Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Teams
Quinton de Kock has made one score of 97* and nothing else so far in IPL 2025. However, he has the quality to fire if he can get through the powerplay.
Shivam Dube has not fired yet in this tournament, but he showed glimpses of what he is capable of in the last game vs PBKS (42). He has scored 53 runs off 29 balls against Chakravarthy in the IPL (one wicket).
Matheesha Pathirana had a tough outing vs PBKS, but he is always worth considering for fantasy cricket as he bowls in the crunch overs. He has dismissed Andre Russell once in three balls.
R Ashwin has good head-to-head numbers against Quinton de Kock and Anjinkya Rahane.
Venkatesh Iyer has struck 60 and 45 in his past two games. He averages just 19.33 in six matches vs CSK, but he is in form.
Other Stats and Important Matchups
Head-to-head: Matches 32, CSK 20, KKR 11.
CSK lead KKR 8-3 in meetings at Chepauk.
Andre Russell (bowling) vs Ravindra Jadeja (batting) in the IPL: 31 balls, 48 runs, no wickets.
Ravindra Jadeja (bowling) vs Andre Russell (batting) in the IPL: 29 balls, 48 runs, no wickets.
Sunil Narine vs Shivam Dube in the IPL: 28 balls, 28 runs, no wickets.
R Ashwin vs Quinton de Kock in the IPL: 75 balls, 84 runs, four wickets.

The cricketing world was saddened by the retirement of talented Australia batsman Will Pucovski at age 27. Pucovski suffered his 13th concussion in March 2024 batting for Victoria against Tasmania, where he was struck on the head by a Riley Meredith bouncer.
Speaking to SEN Radio in Melbourne earlier this week, Pucovski said it was a very difficult decision to make as he worked so hard to get back on the field. He was getting back to his best, with a century against New South Wales in Sydney boosting his confidence.
“After that century in Sydney, I thought from a personal point of view things were starting to click for me,” he said. “I put a mountain of effort into getting things right off the field to be good on the field.
“In my head, I didn’t want to make an official call until I was symptom-free,” Pucovski said about the recommendation to retire. “When you’re struggling it’s hard to make a huge decision. The medical panel recommended I retire and that was really difficult to come to terms with. I felt like I was coming over the hill with a few things.
“Technically you can’t make anyone retire from anything…it got made clear to me it was a strong recommendation but the final decision ultimately was up to me.
“I just don’t want to risk doing any more damage to my brain than I’ve already done.”
Will Pucovski opens up on how he’s been impacted by last concussion
“I felt so bad physically after getting hit [by the Meredith bouncer] that the dread came a little bit after to be honest,” Pucovski recalled. “It unfortunately got me in a really bad spot.”
What happened afterwards was concerning. Pucovski spoke about his struggles for months following the incident, including how it affected life at home.
“In the couple of months post that [last concussion] I struggled to get anything done, walking around the house was a struggle,” he said. “My fiancée was annoyed because I didn’t contribute to chores. I was sleeping a lot.”
Pucovski also revealed he still struggles with symptoms. At just 27, he said professional sport had to be out of the picture as his personal life was significantly affected.
“From there it’s been a tough year, a lot of the symptoms didn’t go away which has led me to this decision. The first few months were horrendous, but things didn’t leave me,” he said.
“I’ve only just turned 27, the space of concussion is very young. Speaking to a lot of specialists, this is a difficult space to deal with.
“The technology isn’t quite there to understand what is what. When you have symptoms for over a year and I’ve had others for numerous years, it can be quite difficult to see how can I get out to play professional sport again when I’m struggling to live my life how I want to.”
Pucovski a case of what could have been, but will remain involved in cricket
Will Pucovski made his Test debut in January 2021, hitting a half-century against India. He was one of the top performers in Sheffield Shield cricket, finishing with 2,350 First Class runs at an average of 45.19. This included seven centuries, with three of them doubles.
However, while Pucovski’s playing career has come to an end, he will remain involved in cricket. He will take the head coach role of Melbourne in the Victoria Premier Club competition. Also, Pucovski has previously commentated on the Big Bash League for Channel 7.
