RCB vs DC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2025 24th Match

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) challenge the unbeaten Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 24th match of IPL 2025. Both teams have been in excellent form coming into this match and it promises to be an exciting contest at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs in their last game at the Wankhede Stadium. Virat Kohli (67 runs), Rajat Patidar (64 runs) and Jitesh Sharma (40 runs*) were the key performers with the bat. Their bowlers have been in great form led by Josh Hazlewood. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled well towards the end but the team will need him to step up with the new ball.

The struggling Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face a tough test against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 22nd match of IPL 2025. PBKS are 4th in the points table with two wins and a loss in three games. Meanwhile, CSK will be coming to this game after three consecutive defeats after winning their season opener.

Punjab Kings have been one of the most exciting teams in the competition. Their batters are in top form and the bowlers have been very consistent. They have insane batting depth and quite a few options with the ball as well. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Nehal Wadhera, Arshdeep Singh, Glenn Maxwell and Lockie Ferguson will be the key players for them.

  • Ruturaj Gaikwad is the best batter for CSK in IPL 2025. He has looked in good touch apart from tackling that short ball. Gaikwad has 241 runs in 8 innings against PBKS at an average of 34.40 with a couple of fifties.
  • He struggles a bit against the left-arm pacers but looked good against Boult in the first game and Jansen and Arshdeep may have bowled 2 overs each when he’ll come out to bat (given CSK openers can stay there for 4-5 overs).
  • Shreyas Iyer has been in sublime form this season but got out playing a rash shot in the last game. He has 290 runs in 13 innings against CSK at an average of 26.40 at a strike rate of 106.20 with just one fifty. 
  • Shivam Dube got out for a golden duck in both games that CSK played against PBKS in IPL 2024. He is a key player for them in the middle overs and can be a game-changer in fantasy cricket. However, his current form is not that good and he has failed to hit even the spinners.

  • Ravindra Jadeja has 394 runs and 20 wickets against the Punjab Kings. He has a good record against PBKS’ middle order and is contributing with both bat and ball in every game for CSK. Jadeja will be a top fantasy pick.

Two of the more inconsistent teams go head-to-head in the 21st match of IPL 2025. Both Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have won two and lost two, so it will be interesting to see how this match shapes up.

KKR have had a win-loss pattern in their first four games. After copping a thumping in Mumbai last week, they handed out their own thumping to Sunrisers Hyderabad a few days later. Their batters delivered, and they will need to be on their game against a team who bank more on their spinners.

Jasprit Bumrah is back and available for selection for Mumbai Indians’ (MI) clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Monday April 7. According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Bumrah received clearance from the BCCI’s centre of excellence following a back injury sustained in the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in January.

“He’s available, he’s training today, and should be available [for the RCB game],” said MI coach Mahela Jayawardene, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

“He arrived last night, he had his sessions with NCA [National Cricket Academy, now Centre of Excellence] to finalise that, he’s been handed over to our physios. He’s bowling today, so all good.”

Jasprit Bumrah a chance of playing against RCB, but coach Mahela Jayawardene remains cautious

Bumrah joined the squad on Saturday, and the official MI account posted a video of the champion fast bowler with the group at the Wankhede Stadium.

Bumrah is every chance of playing against RCB in a crucial match for MI given they have lost three of their first four matches in IPL2025. However, coach Jayawardene says Bumrah needs to be given the space to ease back into proceedings after a lengthy injury layoff.

“Boom’s coming back from a pretty decent layoff, so we need to give him that space, not expect too much” Jayawardene said. “Knowing Jasprit, he will be up for it. We’re very happy to have him in the camp, the experience he brings, that extra voice out there in the middle, chatting with Boulty [Trent Boult], chatting with Deepak [Chahar] or any other younger bowler, giving that advice is also very valuable for us. That’s what we’re looking forward to from him.”

While expecting an immediate impact from Bumrah may be somewhat unfair, he is certainly capable of producing a matchwinning performance given his abundant talent. The fast bowler has taken 29 wickets in 19 matches against RCB, and his battle with Virat Kohli (95 deliveries, 140 runs, five wickets) will have eyeballs glued to screens throughout the world.

MI have won their past two matches against RCB. Victory at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday can lift them from eighth to as high as the top four.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have lost their third consecutive match in IPL 2025, this time going down by 25 runs against the impressive Delhi Capitals (DC).

CSK’s flaws were on show yet again. They showed glimpses of promise with the ball, but yet again poor deliveries and dropped catches allowed the opposition to get away. In fact, CSK have now dropped ten catches – the most of any team – giving teams that crucial headstart they cannot afford to give considering their misfiring batting unit.

Onto CSK’s batting. Their struggles are underpinned by bad powerplays and a middle order completely lacking impact. With their middle order worries, CSK need strong starts to get them ahead of the game. Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad as their top three is clearly their strength, and all missed out.

For DC, this was an efficient outing. KL Rahul led the way brilliantly with the bat on a tricky Chepauk track where the ball was holding up on occasion. He had support throughout the innings as DC showcased the kind of team balance that is the envy of other teams at the moment, including CSK themselves.

As a result, they have been behind the game in all of their run chases, coming somewhat close against RR but falling well short by 50 runs and 25 runs against RCB and DC respectively.

Fans and pundits have pointed to CSK’s misfiring middle order that relies on Shivam Dube to deliver. With Devon Conway brought in as opener and Dube out of form, CSK significantly lack middle order power than can change the game. Vijay Shankar struggled badly despite making a half-century, as he and Dhoni batted nine overs together in what felt like a training exhibition.

Don’t let CSK’s worries take the attention away from DC’s superb start to the IPL 2025 season. Axar Patel’s team have now won three straight games, with this impressive all-round showing highlighting their capabilities.

KL Rahul, elevated to opener in Faf du Plessis’ absence, made the opportunity count in the Chennai heat. He showed intent immediately, and kept the pressure on CSK right throughout his 51-ball 77. At times, it seemed he was batting on a different pitch as he excelled especially against the in-form Noor Ahmad.

Abishek Porel (33 off 20 balls) and Tristan Stubbs (24 off 12 balls) also chipped in with impactful knocks. DC maintained a run rate of about nine right throughout, with their eventual total of 183/6 putting them in a fantastic position.

With the ball, Mukesh Kumar and Mitchell Starc wasted no time in making inroads into the top order. After another quiet CSK powerplay, the hosts were never in the game as DC eased to a win.

So refreshing to watch KL Rahul playing free flowing cricket, hitting bowlers like Noor and Jadeja for 6s at Chepauk.
