West Indies vs England 4th ODI Preview Dream11. WI vs ENG 4th ODI Preview Dream11 Prediction
Just copy and paste the previous preview? Not quite.
Both teams now have the chance to ensure they cannot lose this series. Also, plenty of rain in Grenada in recent days, which is expected to clear by this match, could provide assistance to the bowlers. Who will take a 2-1 series lead?
West Indies would have loved to have taken the field on Monday. Unfortunately, the Grenada weather had other ideas, consigning the Windies to a four day wait after a fine win in the second ODI. With more positive murmurs about their chances of competing at this year’s World Cup, can the Windies make another strong statement against the world’s number one ODI side? A big opportunity awaits.
England surely would have also liked to take the field in the third ODI. Eoin Morgan has led this side in such a way that their ability to bounce back has been key to their rise to number one, but like the Windies, have had to wait that little bit longer. It has been a really challenging tour so far for England, but have the opportunity here to build confidence against a really committed Windies side. Will England flex their muscle with the World Cup fast approaching?
Key to a West Indies win
There is more to play for in the context of this series. However, medium-long term consistency is crucial for West Indies.
Their fielding and catching has left plenty to be desired so far this series. They must improve, as England have proven time and time again that they can improve themselves. With the ball, second ODI star Sheldon Cottrell will undoubtedly be key once again, along with the likes of Jason Holder, Oshane Thomas and Devendra Bishoo, all of whom are capable of wickets. Where the Windies took a big step to victory in Barbados was dismissing both Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow early, which forced an England rebuild. If the Windies can produce the goods up top, they are a chance of picking up regular wickets to heap the pressure on England.

Also, the same question ahead of the third ODI applies to the fourth. The Windies’ top four played out 176 balls for 131 runs in the second ODI, with four unconverted starts. That is room for improvement in Grenada, with Shimron Hetmyer mighty capable of building on a strong platform. Will Chris Gayle continue his fine form? Can Shai Hope deliver a free-flowing innings to push England on the back foot? In a big game, the Windies’ big names need to stand up.
Key to an England win
England chased 361 with ease, and then were unable to reach 290 two days later. The key difference between the two batting performances was the contributions of the top three. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow are capable of pushing the Windies onto the back foot with a rapid powerplay, which then allows Joe Root to rotate strike nicely. With Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes looking in dangerous form, followed by Jos Buttler, no one can forget England’s ability to score big totals. Will it be a complete batting display by England?
Will it also be a complete bowling display? Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett put in improved performances in the second ODI, and with Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes, England have wicket taking ability in their seam attack. However, Moeen Ali has been well under par, so the contribution of he and the underused Adil Rashid will be key in ensuring the Windies aren’t let off the hook. Can England build up dot balls in the early overs, and convert pressure into wickets to lift pressure on the Windies’ middle order?
