GT vs CSK Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 | GT vs CHE Dream11 Prediction Today | Chepauk Pitch Report

Here we go. After 70 matches of IPL league action, where so many different scenarios were possible, the playoffs are upon us.

Gujarat Titans (GT), remarkably, have finished top of the league for the second time in a row, losing just four matches along the way. It is an identical record to their first season in 2022, where they then found another gear in the playoffs to beat Rajasthan Royals twice. Now, they head into the playoffs in superb form, led by the magnificent Shubman Gill who has struck consecutive hundreds and a 94* in his past four knocks.

But, if there is any team who can spoil the Gujarat party, it’s MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Mighty efficient and consistent, CSK locked up a deserved top-two spot, overcoming a shaky start to this season by effectively utilising the resources at hand. Think Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube and Matheesha Pathirana, all of whom have elevated CSK’s team to another level this season alongside the magnificent opening combination of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway.

Confidence is high in the quest for a record-equaling fifth IPL title. Confidence is also high in the GT camp in the quest for back-to-back titles. So, this has the makings of a magnificent Qualifier 1 matchup.

Chennai Super Kings:

  • Ruturaj Gaikwad belted 92 (50) against GT earlier in IPL 2023. He strikes at 146.7 against Rashid Khan in the IPL (45 balls, 66 runs, two dismissals).
  • Devon Conway is coming off a thumping 87 (52) against DC. He is CSK’s leading run-scorer this season with an impressive 585 (avg. 53.18, SR 138.62), which includes six fifties in 13 innings.
  • Watch out for Shivam Dube in the middle overs. Out of his 385 runs this season, 291 have come between overs 7-16 at a strike rate of 153.2.
  • Ravindra Jadeja has taken at least one wicket in eight of his last ten matches. Also, he has hit a 20+ score in four of his past five knocks.
  • Deepak Chahar is crucial for CSK. He has dismissed Shubman Gill twice in 37 balls in the IPL (49 runs). Also, he has dismissed Miller once in 12 balls for 14 runs in the IPL.
  • Tushar Deshpande is one of six bowlers to have taken 20+ wickets this season. His economy is high (9.52), but his strike rate of 14.65 makes him one to watch.

3 reasons why SRH had a shocking IPL 2023 campaign

Opinion: 3 reasons why SRH had a shocking IPL 2023 campaign | A look at why SRH failed in the 2023 Indian Premier League

With the loss against Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their 10th loss of the season, marking the end of what was a horrible season for the Orange Army. SRH managed to win just four games out of 14, and finished at the bottom of the points table with only eight points in IPL 2023.

The squad SRH assembled at the auction looked more than just decent, with belief from all corners that they could actually win the prestigious league. However, they never got going.

Why did SRH fail in IPL 2023? 3 reasons

On that note, let us have a look at three potential reasons behind SRH’s poor season.

1. Umran Malik, anyone?

In IPL 2022, Umran Malik was the pick of the bowlers for SRH. In what was his breakthrough season, he managed to take 22 wickets at a staggering strike rate of 13.40. Soon after that, he received his India callup.

As a result, much was expected from Umran heading into 2023. One of the primary objectives of the IPL is, and has always been, to nurture the young Indian talents and give them the experience and backing they need to be able to perform at the highest level.

Unfortunately, that is not what happened in this case. In fact, Aiden Markram and SRH’s treatment and usage of Umran was rather strange.

On fairly tiny grounds where even top express pace bowlers like Lockie Ferguson, Kagiso Rabada, Jofra Archer and Anrich Nortje proved to be pretty expensive, Umran went for plenty too. Naturally, he was also a bit more expensive due to his lack of experience. However, he hasn’t been backed by the captain or by the management. The fact that the youngster bowled out just once this season may come across as a shock to many.

Umran’s worst over of the season came against the Kolkata Knight Riders, where Nitish Rana managed to score 28 runs off it. Although Umran did bowl some ordinary deliveries, he was able to find the edge of Rana’s bat twice in the over. He could potentially have had Rana’s wicket twice that day, but this is where the difference between Kane Williamson and Aiden Markram’s captaincy was quite evident. The way Williamson talked to him after a bad ball, backed him, and most importantly set the field for him last season was praiseworthy.

This is what statistics won’t tell.

In the first four games this season, Umran picked up five wickets. He was dropped after the game against KKR, and when he returned, he finished with figures of 0-18 (3) and 0-14 (2) in his next two games against Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals respectively. Not bowling his quota of four overs even in games where he bowled economically is further proof that Markram and SRH have not done much to help Umran’s confidence either.

He was dropped once more after he bowled an expensive 22-run over against DC in the reverse fixture, and when he made a comeback against Mumbai Indians in SRH’s last game of the season, he again went for 41 runs in his three overs. Umran did trouble Cameron Green in his first two overs, but went for 20 in his last. He is definitely inconsistent and has to work on his lines and lengths, but he has the potential to be a top bowler in the future.

Umran is a genuine wicket taker. He has gone wicketless just twice in the 16 games he has played for India. The Sunrisers Hyderabad would feel they missed a trick by not backing Umran Malik throughout the tournament. Even if he went for runs, he could have guaranteed some wickets in the middle overs.

2. No one delivered with the bat consistently, apart from Heinrich Klaasen

SRH was let down by their batsmen on countless occasions. Their highest run-getter this time around was the superb Heinrich Klaasen, who batted at number 5 and 6 almost throughout the tournament. Apart from Klaasen, everyone failed to perform consistently.

In the end, the South African scored 448 runs at a scintillating average of close to 50, while striking at 177.

Opinion: 3 reasons why SRH had a shocking IPL 2023 campaign | A look at why SRH failed in the 2023 Indian Premier League
3 reasons why SRH had a shocking IPL 2023 campaign – Heinrich Klaasen was a lone warrior for SRH

In a season where eight out of the ten teams had at least 12 individual half centuries, SRH had just eight, with two coming in their last game against Mumbai Indians.

Among batters who played a minimum of five innings for SRH, only Abdul Samad and Heinrich Klaasen averaged more than 30. Also, none of Rahul Tripathi, Mayank Agarwal, Abhishek Sharma and Harry Brook could cross the 300-run mark.

Tripathi scored 273 runs this season at an average of 22.75, striking at just 128. Mayank looked very impressive in the last game of the season against Mumbai Indians, scoring 83 off just 46 deliveries. However, he did not score a single fifty in the nine games he played prior to that.

Brook was bought by SRH at the auction for a massive amount of 13.25 crore. Apart from that one ton against Kolkata Knight Riders, he was hugely disappointing. He ended the season with three ducks, and only once did he get to cross 50. The strategy from SRH to spend a whopping amount of money on a batter who had no experience batting in India greatly backfired.

3 reasons why SRH had a shocking IPL 2023 campaign – Harry Brook couldn’t get going apart from one century vs KKR.

3. Aiden Markram’s inability to lead from the front

While captains like Faf du Plessis, Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner led the run-scoring charts for their teams, Aiden Markram failed to perform the way a leader would want to. Markram scored just 248 runs in the entire season, averaging less than 23 with a strike rate of just 126.

In 13 games, Markram was dismissed for a single digit score four times, and failed to score more than 20 runs eight times. He managed to strike at more than 130 in just four games.

In a team where most batters were struggling for form, the skipper could not do much to inspire them. What David Warner did for Delhi Capitals this season with practically no help from the other batters is a perfect example of what was expected from Markram.

The team selection, at times, was a bit perplexing as well. Playing two overseas pacers in Fazalhaq Farooqi and Marco Jansen did not allow SRH to play both Heinrich Klaasen and Glenn Phillips together in the middle order for a long part of the season. Also, one would feel that there was way too much rotation in terms of the opening pair and the batting positions of players.

Nevertheless, it was only Markram’s first season captaining an IPL side. Even though he failed to impress this time, SRH would hope he and the team come out stronger next year.

Twitter reactions: MI qualify for playoffs, RCB heartbroken, Gill, Green & Kohli tons

Cricket News: Twitter reactions: MI qualify for playoffs & RCB heartbroken | MI qualify to the IPL 2023 playoffs

Mumbai Indians (MI) were the big winners from the final day of the IPL 2023 league stage, chasing yet another 200+ total and qualifying for the playoffs after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost to the table-topping Gujarat Titans (GT).

MI qualify for the playoffs, RCB go another year without the title

RCB had it all in their hands, but couldn’t survive the Shubman Gill onslaught after Virat Kohli’s own superb ton. In the end, RCB relied too much on Virat, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell for their runs, and couldn’t contain teams well enough with the ball outside of the powerplay overs.

For MI, their batting at the Wankhede has played a major role in their qualification. Cameron Green justified his price tag with a superb hundred to sink bottom-placed SRH in another 200+ total for the franchise this season. As a result, they have a shot at a sixth title.

Here are some of the reactions.

Shubman Gill and Cameron Green impress with matchwinning centuries

Green’s hundred was vital after Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma struggled to get going in the early stages of their chase of 201. Once he got going in his early deliveries, the result was a forlorn conclusion against an SRH side that closed out one of its worst-ever seasons. He smashed 50 off 20 balls and then finished with 100* (47).

Shubman Gill also struck a matchwinning ton to deny RCB’s qualification at a mind-boggling strike rate of 200. His second hundred of the season was filled with glorious strokeplay as usual, reminding all of his oozing talent as heir to the great Virat Kohli. He is now just 50 runs behind current Orange Cap leader Faf du Plessis, and the GT opener has at least two matches to surpass RCB’s captain.

Virat Kohli hits second-straight ton

Virat Kohli hit his second straight century to give RCB a chance of victory. He overcame middle overs wickets at the other end to finish with 101* off 61 balls in another show of masterful T20 batting. Unfortunately for RCB and Virat, it wasn’t enough in the end.

Will IPL franchises take over world cricket? Fans say yes in recent survey

Cricket News: Will IPL franchises take over world cricket? Fans say yes in recent survey | Fans believe IPL franchises will have more power

Cricket is one sport that has experienced significant change over the past 20 years. No one in 2003 could have thought that the first ever T20, played in England, would see this format completely shake cricket to its very core.

Nations around the globe, including Pakistan, West Indies and Australia, saw immediate success in matches played domestically in 2005 and 2006, drawing sell out crowds.

Then came the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, soon after India’s triumph in the inaugural T20 World Cup that saw the format’s popularity go through the roof. Franchise cricket was born, and now threatens to render national boards secondary. Literally.

In CricBlog’s future of cricket survey, 75% of 5,000+ respondents believe IPL franchise owners will hold more power over cricket boards in the future.

Why could IPL franchises take over national boards?

  • In the past, cricketers relied on their board for earnings. Now, if they aren’t happy, they can say goodbye and dip their toe in the monster that is franchise cricket.
  • IPL franchise owners now own teams in different leagues around the globe, including South Africa’s SA20 and West Indies’ CPL.
  • These owners have been holding informal talks (at this stage) with some top England cricketers to quit or sharply reduce the amount of international cricket they play to take up a contract package estimated to be worth US$5 million to play around the world throughout the year.
  • Cricket boards could have NOCs placed on their most-prized assets by their owners should they decide they would like to have them available for certain T20 leagues over internationals.

The growth of T20 cricket, which is expected to continue rising sharply upward, can attract new fans around the globe. Also, importantly for administrators, the media rights values associated with the format are so staggering that they’re practically swimming in cash.

However, this shift represents a threat for traditionalists who value having the best talent available in international cricket. The future of One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Tests grow murkier by the minute, with T20 offering fans a shorter, sharper product in the age of instant gratification. In the survey, 31.9% of fans said ODIs won’t be around by 2037. Also, 49.1% picked ODIs as the format to drop to reduce scheduling pressures.

Indeed, the world of cricket is changing rapidly, and it seems inevitable franchise owners will garner more power in the coming years. The current Future Tours Programme (FTP), scheduled to end in 2027, may very well be the last of its kind.

We shall see.

Why has Ben Stokes left the CSK squad?

Cricket News: Why has Ben Stokes left the CSK squad? | Ben Stokes leaves IPL 2023 to join England squad ahead of Tests

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) confirmed on Sunday that English Test skipper and star all-rounder Ben Stokes has left the CSK camp to join national duties ahead of the Three Lions’ Test against Ireland on June 1. “Home bound for the national duty! We’ll be whistling for you, Stokesy! Until next time!” the franchise posted on their official social media handles.

CSK had acquired Stokes for a whopping sum of Rs 16.25 crore in the auction in December. The plan appeared to be to optimise his batting prowess to strengthen the team’s middle-order. However, the 31-year-old played only two games throughout the season, aggregating 15 runs before being sidelined due to a heel injury.

Stokes was out for a major portion of the games in April as he hadn’t recovered completely from the fitness setback. By that time, CSK had already gathered enough momentum in the season with the likes of Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube stepping up at the number three and four spots in the playing XI respectively.

Rahane has two half-centuries to his name at a strike rate of 169.88 whereas Dube has struck 385 runs with three half-centuries and a strike rate of 160.42. CSK batting coach Michael Hussey revealed earlier this month that Stokes had recuperated completely from his injury and was fit for selection. Yet, the seasoned World Cup winner wouldn’t have been able to roll his arm over anyway.

In that backdrop, CSK skipper MS Dhoni and the team management continued to trust fellow English all-rounder Moeen Ali’s all-round abilities over Stokes’ batting. Moeen has had a middling season so far. He has notched only 123 runs at an average and strike rate of 16.43 and 132.18 respectively.

However, with the pitches slowing down, Moeen’s off-spin comes in very handy for Dhoni. He has already picked nine wickets at an economy of 7.50 and is likely to come to the fore more with the ball in the playoffs as well.

3 reasons why DC had a poor IPL 2023 campaign

Cricket News: 3 reasons why DC had a poor IPL 2023 campaign | Why did Delhi Capitals struggle in IPL 2023?

Delhi Capitals (DC) entered IPL 2023 with a really strong looking squad on paper. However, they completely failed to live up to the hype, failing miserably in their campaign. They finished with just ten points in 14 games, and stayed at the bottom of the points table for most part of the tournament.

Why did DC struggle in IPL 2023?

On that note, let’s take a look at three key things that went wrong for Delhi Capitals this IPL.

1. Prithvi Shaw’s form

Coming into the season, Ricky Ponting, head coach of Delhi Capitals, predicted that Prithvi Shaw would have his biggest and most successful IPL season in 2023. Unfortunately, the complete opposite happened.

Shaw scored only 47 runs in the first six games at a strike rate of 118. In the 2022 edition of the IPL, Shaw scored 283 runs at a strike rate of over 150. The massive decline in Shaw’s form ended up costing DC big time. They were left with no option but to drop him. Shaw was replaced by Philip Salt, but ever since Salt’s inclusion, DC lost a wicket in the first over four times in the six games that followed.

Cricket News: 3 reasons why DC had a poor IPL 2023 campaign | Why did Delhi Capitals struggle in IPL 2023?
3 reasons why DC had a poor IPL 2023 campaign – Prithvi Shaw couldn’t get going.

DC brought Shaw back for their second-last game of the season vs Punjab Kings, where he finally delivered and scored a fine 54 at a healthy strike rate of 142. The Capitals would have felt that this knock came a bit too late, but it was certainly an indication of what could have been had Shaw picked form earlier in the tournament.

In the last game of the season, Shaw once again failed, scoring 5 off 7, further proving how inconsistent he has been this season. Whether DC retain him or not going into the next season remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Shaw is a top talent and can be an asset for DC in the years to come.

2. Axar Patel’s batting position

The Delhi Capitals management made some baffling decisions. One of them was their treatment of Axar Patel, who, despite his strong form, batted mostly at 6 and 7 throughout DC’s campaign.

Axar scored 283 runs this season at an average close to 29 and strike rate of almost 140. In a side that has collapsed more often than not, it was he who stood out. It was quite shocking how DC refused to promote him up the order even after showing some real character in difficult situations.

Eventually, Axar was sent at 5 vs the Punjab Kings, but just one opportunity for someone who has been mighty impressive does not do justice to all the hardwork he has put in to become a proper batter.  DC could have looked at the possibility of playing him at 5 or even 4 in the hope it could solve their middle order woes.

3. Lack of a quality legspinner in the squad

In a season where legspinners have been vital to the success of their teams, Delhi Capitals found themselves without a single quality option to get them through their middle overs.

Rashid Khan for GT, Piyush Chawla for MI, Yuzvendra Chahal for RR, Ravi Bishnoi for LSG, Suyash Sharma for KKR and Mayank Markande for SRH all provided their teams with crucial breakthroughs throughout the season.

Legspinners go for runs, but how often have we seen them notch those crucial wickets and turn the game around on its head? Having just one legspinner in Pravin Dubey, DC missed a trick by not going for Amit Mishra or any other experienced, quality legspinner at the auctions.

Even Pravin Dubey managed to get just one chance in DC’s home game against PBKS, where he bowled a decent spell, finishing with 1-19 in his three overs. However, when DC played PBKS again less than a week later in the reverse fixture, he was dropped even after bowling fairly well in his only game.

DC would feel they missed a trick by not playing Dubey more often this season. They could have played him in their last game to let him prove what can be expected from him in the next season, but it wasn’t to be.

Why did PBKS miss the playoffs again? A look at the performance of their bowlers

Analysis: Why did PBKS miss the playoffs again? An in-depth look at the performance of their bowlers

Punjab Kings (PBKS) have once again failed to make it to the playoffs of the IPL. After the loss to Rajasthan Royals in their last game of the season, Punjab Kings were eliminated in the group stages for the ninth time in a row.

With ten points in their first nine games, a top four finish looked almost certain for PBKS. However, they managed to get just two points in their last five games.

PBKS miss the playoffs again – how did their bowlers perform?

PBKS picked up 72 wickets in total throughout the tournament, and used nine different bowlers in the process. Here is a brief summary on how the PBKS bowlers fared in IPL 2023:

PBKS miss the playoffs again – how did their bowlers perform?

Arshdeep Singh

With 17 wickets, Arshdeep ended the season as Punjab Kings’ leading wicket taker. Overall, Arshdeep was clearly the pick of the bowlers for PBKS. However, the stats could be slightly misleading. In the first seven games of the season, Arshdeep picked up 13 wickets at an economy of just 8.16, but in the next seven, he managed to pick up just four wickets at an economy of 11.19 runs per over.

In the first half, the pacer had a bowling average of 15.70 and struck every 11.54 balls. On the contrary, he had a bowling average of 72.25 and struck every 38.75 balls in the second half. The sharp decline in Arshdeep’s form may well be one of the reasons behind PBKS’ failure to qualify for the knockouts.

The away game against Mumbai Indians where he uprooted and broke the middle stump twice was arguably the last impressive performance from him this season. Ever since, he hasn’t been at his best. Shikhar Dhawan’s captaincy has been baffling at times this season, and his usage of Arshdeep Singh in the last few games was equally surprising. To the surprise of many, Arshdeep did not open the bowling for PBKS in any of their last three games.

Despite that, Arshdeep still had a decent season.

Nathan Ellis

Why did PBKS miss the playoffs again? Nathan Ellis impressed.

The 28-year old Australian pacer, with 13 wickets in 10 games, ended up as PBKS’ second best bowler, only behind Arshdeep Singh. Striking every 17.34 deliveries, Ellis’ strike rate was the best among all PBKS bowlers. In the campaign, he managed to dismiss both Faf du Plessis, who currently holds the Orange Cap, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made history by crossing the 600-run mark in RR’s last game of the season. In a season where PBKS failed to make it to the top four once again, Ellis was one of the few positives that PBKS would take away from the tourney.

Sam Curran

Why did PBKS miss the playoffs again? Sam Curran didn’t deliver consistently.

Punjab Kings spent a whopping 18.50 crore on Sam Curran at the auction, making him the most expensive player in the history of the tournament. For the price he was bought at, Curran was hugely disappointing. His economy of 10.22 and bowling average of 48.9 were the worst among all PBKS bowlers who bowled at least ten overs this season.

Curran bowled ten overs in the powerplay this season, and failed to get a single wicket. Seven out of Curran’s ten wickets came in the death overs, but he also had an economy of 10.55 in that phase. It would be fair to say that he did not do justice to his price tag of 18.50 crore.

Harpreet Brar

Shikhar Dhawan has received a fair bit of criticism regarding the way he has used Harpreet Brar this season, and rightfully so. Brar bowled just 27.1 overs in a total of 13 games. He did not bowl at all on two occasions, and bowled just one over in two games.

That makes it two overs in four games for someone who has been one of PBKS’ best bowlers in the season. Purely because of the quality of batters dismissed by him, it would not be wrong to call Brar PBKS’ most effective bowler in 2023. Brar dismissed Hardik Pandya, Kyle Mayers, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Jason Roy, Philip Salt, Rilee Rossouw, David Warner and Manish Pandey this season.

Brar’s average of 24.22 was the best among all PBKS bowlers, while his economy of 8.02 was second only to Rahul Chahar’s. Dhawan held Brar back numerous times to avoid the matchup against left handed batters. Some proactive captaincy could have changed PBKS’ fate. Irrespective of how he wasn’t used to his full potential, Brar was quite easily one of the best bowlers for PBKS.

Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar managed to pick up just eight wickets in the entire season. With an economy of 7.75, he was PBKS’ most economical bowler this time. However, the average of 48.12 and the strike rate of 37.25 would have disappointed both Chahar as well as the PBKS management.

In a season where the likes of Rashid Khan and Piyush Chawla are competing for the Purple Cap, PBKS would have wanted Chahar to strike much more frequently in the middle overs. The lack of regular wickets after the powerplay could be a reason behind PBKS’ failure.

Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada played just six games for PBKS this season. In the 23 overs he bowled, he managed to pick up seven wickets. Rabada’s economy of 10.08 was the second highest among bowlers who bowled a minimum of 10 overs for PBKS, with four of his scalps coming in the powerplay.

With a dot-ball percentage of almost 54% in the first six overs, Rabada bowled decently in that phase of the game. However, he gave away a total of 65 runs in five overs at the death. He might not have played a lot of games, but PBKS would still feel Rabada’s performance was not really up to the mark. From a bowler of Rabada’s caliber, they would have expected much more.

Sikandar Raza

The all-rounder from Zimbabwe had a fairly decent tournament. The way PBKS used him was surprising, just like a lot of other decisions made by them. Raza picked up three wickets in 12 overs, and had an average of 24. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t bowled out once in the six games that he bowled in. He conceded at 9.91 runs per over, making his economy the worst out of the three PBKS spinners who bowled a minimum of ten overs in the season.

Liam Livingstone

Primarily in the team for his batting, Liam Livingstone bowled just seven overs in nine games, picking up two wickets. His economy of 13.42 made him PBKS’ worst bowler of the season in terms of economy. Like Rishi Dhawan, he also managed to get the big wicket of Rohit Sharma. He was disappointing with the ball, but after all, he is not the T20 beast that he is because of his bowling.

Rishi Dhawan

Bowling a total of seven overs in six games, Rishi Dhawan picked up just a single wicket for PBKS. The wicket game against the Mumbai Indians, and it was a huge one, that of their skipper, Rohit Sharma. Anyhow, Rishi failed to create an impact and had a below average season this time around. Going forward, PBKS need to decide how to use Rishi more effectively.

Cricket News: Bengaluru weather forecast for RCB vs GT match | Bengaluru weather update for RCB vs GT IPL 2023 match

Rain has lashed through Bengaluru over the past week, casting some doubts over the crucial IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

Depending on other results, RCB may need to win this match to qualify for the playoffs. There is no doubt Faf du Plessis’ team as well as the millions of RCB fans will be hoping for kind weather at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

What is the weather forecast in Bengaluru for the RCB vs GT match?

According to TimesNow, rain is expected to fall quite consistently until May 25. This includes Sunday, where the rain is forecast to fall in the evening.

According to AccuWeather, the chance of precipitation is low in Bengaluru throughout the day. However, there is a 51% chance of precipitation at 5pm, followed by 65% at 7pm and 9pm respectively. Should rain fall, there is hope that there can be a shortened match at least, with periods of lower precipitation levels throughout the evening.

Google shows a similar forecast. No rain is expected to fall until the late afternoon, which increases the possibility of an interrupted game.

Should Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the earlier game, RCB will need to win against GT to secure their place in the IPL 2023 playoffs. So, RCB fans may be hoping for SRH to upset MI in case this match finishes in a no result.

If MI loses to SRH, Rohit Sharma’s team will miss out on the playoffs as they will finish on 14 points. So, a no result can get RCB into the playoffs with 15 points.

MI vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 69 | MI vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today Match | Wankhede Pitch Report

Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a must-win encounter in an afternoon game on Sunday. MI lost their previous match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), meaning they have to win against SRH to qualify for the playoffs.

The good thing for MI is that they will play at their home ground, where they know the conditions better than any other team. Their biggest issue has been the underperforming bowling unit, particularly in the slog overs, and MI will look to do better in that aspect.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad are going through a horrid run in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The wins haven’t come easily for them, and they are clearly the worst-performing side in IPL 2023.

The form of Aiden Markram is a major issue for the Orange army. Moreover, SRH haven’t managed to churn out a complete team performance, which has held them back throughout this season. Now, their only motivation is to play spoilsport at Mumbai.
