EN-W vs SA-W Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Semi-Final 2 | EN-W vs SA-W Dream11 Prediction Today | Cape Town Pitch Report

England will take on South Africa in the second semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 for the chance to take on Australia in the final. The Australians once again showcased their ability to win the big moments, beating India in a thriller. Here, these two teams need to show they can win the big moments.

England is yet to lose a game in this tournament. They have been in excellent form as a team. Their batters are in top form and the bowlers have complimented them quite well. The likes of Natalie Sciver, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, Danielle Wyatt and others are in sublime form and they’ll look to continue that in this crunch clash.

South Africa, meanwhile, had to fight for their place in the semi-finals. They lost the first game against Sri Lanka but since then they’ve bounced back strongly. Bowling is their strength and their openers came back to form in the last game which is a great sign for them. They’ll need the likes of Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus and Chloe Tryon to perform with the bat in this game.

Newlands Cape Town Pitch Report and Weather

It will be a pleasant day for a game of cricket in Cape Town. The pitch is good for batting as the ball comes onto the bat nicely. The batters can score big once they are settled in, as shown yesterday where Australia and India faced off in a relatively high-scoring clash.

There will be some help for the pacers in powerplay and the spinners could also get some purchase off the pitch. Before the IND-AUS Semi-Final, the average first innings score here is 150 runs and teams chasing have won five out of the ten games played here.

AUS vs IND T20 WC Twitter reactions: Australia prevail again, India heartbroken

Cricket News: AUS vs IND T20 WC Twitter reactions: Australia prevail again, India heartbroken | AU-W vs IN-W Twitter reactions

Another major tournament, another final for this great Australia team. For India, it was the latest near miss, falling short when victory looked theirs.

In a game that had eerie similarities to the 2022 Commonwealth Games Final, Australia displayed the usual fight and composure under pressure to further confirm their status as the greatest ever team in the women’s game.

The turning points? Jemimah Rodrigues hit a superb 43 off 24 balls and her dismissal was vital for Australia. But, Harmanpreet Kaur, who was struggling for form previously, was in sublime touch. She took the equation to 41 off 33 needed, but that is when disaster struck. Attempting the second run, the Indian captain’s bat got caught when sliding into the crease and was run out for the first time in five years. India could then only manage 37 off the final five overs to fall short by five runs.

With regards to Australia, they were blessed with contributions right down the lineup yet again. Darcie Brown was outstanding with the ball, while Ellyse Perry’s fielding highlighted the key difference between the teams. Ash Gardner’s all-round heroics won her player of the match, after crucial knocks by Beth Mooney and Meg Lanning.

And, in the end, that final over – and ball – of the Australian innings proved vital.

Five incredible facts about James Anderson since turning 35

Cricket News: Five incredible facts about James Anderson since turning 35 | James Anderson moves to the top of the Test bowling rankings

James Anderson, at age 40, has taken top spot in the Test bowling rankings following his magnificent performance in the first Test against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui. The ageless Anderson produced yet another exhibition, taking 3/36 and 4/18 to guide England to their tenth win out of 11 Tests under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.

James Anderson, the machine since turning 35

Anderson has been a terrific bowler for England, with his performances in Australia in 2010/11 and India in 2012 key highlights. However, what he has achieved since turning 35 is nothing short of remarkable, taking his tally up to 682 Test scalps as of 19 February, 2023.

“I just can’t see him stopping,” said Ben Stokes. And how true. Anderson’s longeivity is unlikely to ever be matched, especially given the packed cricketing schedule owing to the rise of T20 leagues. But, even without T20 leagues, a pace bowler playing nearly 200 Tests over a period of 20 years is unthinkable.

With that being said, here are five incredible facts about James Anderson since turning 35.

1. 200+ wickets

Any up-and-coming cricketer would dream of taking 200 Test wickets in their lifetime.

Anderson has achieved this since turning 35.

In this period, the seamer has picked up 202 wickets at an incredible average of 20.56, with ten five-wicket hauls.

2. Second-most wickets of any player in the world since 35th birthday

Only Nathan Lyon has taken more wickets (221) than Anderson’s 202. As of February 23, 2023, Anderson is one of three bowlers to have taken at least 200 Test scalps since July 30th, 2017, with Australia’s Pat Cummins the other to do so (202).

3. Best average and economy among top 15 wicket-takers in Tests since 2017

Out of the top 15 wicket-takers in Test cricket in this period, Anderson’s average of 20.57 is the best. Pat Cummins is next best with 21.33, followed by R Ashwin’s 21.85.

Also, Anderson has the best economy rate, conceding just 2.34 per over. The next best is R Ashwin at 2.62. Anderson’s numbers are simply remarkable when you consider the amount of boundaries hit in a cricket game these days.

4. Fifth-oldest bowler to be ranked number one in Tests

Only four bowlers have ever been ranked the number one bowler in Tests at an older age than Anderson. However, Anderson is the oldest since 1936.

Bert Ironmonger (50 years, ten months), Clarrie Grimmett (44 years, two months), Tich Freeman (41 years, two months) and Sydney Barnes (40 years, nine months) were older than Anderson’s 40 years and six months.

5. Averages below 27 in every country

Since the beginning of 2017, Anderson averages less than 27 in every country he he played in. He is the list of his averages in each nation:

  • Australia: 26
  • England 20
  • India: 16
  • New Zealand: 21
  • South Africa 19.8
  • Sri Lanka: 21
  • Pakistan: 18

The great man is showing no signs of slowing down. He is now just 18 wickets away from becoming the third bowler in history – and first pace bowler – to take 700 Test scalps.

The way he’s going, even Muralitharan’s magical 800 is in sight.

AU-W vs IN-W Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Semi-Final 1 | AUS-W vs IND-W Dream11 Prediction Today | Cape Town Pitch Report

Australia and India will lock horns in the first semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

Australia finished at the top of the points table in Group A with four wins in four matches. They are yet to lose a game in the tournament. The Aussie side is the strongest team in women’s cricket. They have exceptional depth in both batting and bowling. The likes of Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Ashleigh Gardner, Tahlia McGrath, Meg Lanning, Megan Schutt, Darcie Brown and others form a very strong and intimidating team.

Indian, meanwhile, finished in second position in Group B with three wins in four games. Their only defeat came against England. The Indian team is in decent form but there are a few issues which they must fix before the semi-final. Harmanpreet Kaur’s form is a big concern and she must perform in this game if India is to win the match. The batting units lack consistency while the bowlers also need to be disciplined with the ball. India will have to be at their best to give themselves any chance of winning the game.

An amazing clash is on the cards as the two well balanced sides face each other this evening.

National Stadium Karachi Pitch and Weather Report

The pitch at National Stadium Karachi is excellent for the batters. The team batting first can put good total on the board and put pressure on the chasing team. The pacers would likely be more effective than the spinners at this venue.

Stokes to cut his IPL stint short for Ireland Test and Ashes

Cricket News: Stokes to cut his IPL stint short for Ireland Test and Ashes | Ben Stokes to end IPL 2023 campaign early for Tests

England red-ball skipper Ben Stokes has confirmed that he will miss the latter stages of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 to prepare for the Three Lions’ Test summer starting with a fixture against Ireland at Lord’s on June 1.

“Yes, I will play (the Ireland Test). I will be making sure that I give myself enough time to get back and play that (Ireland) game,” Stokes was quoted in a report by ESPNcricinfo.

The IPL 2023 final will take place on May 28 and the Ashes commences from June 16 at Edgbaston. Stokes has steered England to victories in the 10 of the 11 Tests that he has captained in since taking over the leadership mantle from Joe Root last year.

Having retired from One Day Internationals (ODIs) already, the World Cup-winning star looks set to follow the example set by many overseas players in the past that have skipped the fag end of IPL to adhere to the international cricket schedule.

This is despite the 31-year-old having asserted earlier his commitment to feature in the coming edition of the IPL after missing out of the tournament last year.

Meanwhile, there is uncertainty over whether rest of Stokes’ English teammates will take the same route as him and skip the concluding stages of the IPL to better prepare for the Test summer. Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Joe Root, Mark Wood and Jonny Bairstow are the other Englaand Test regulars who have an IPL contract on their table as well.

Stokes mentioned that the players will be asked about their individual preference of going about preparing for the Ashes, thus allowing some of them to miss the Ireland game if need be.

“I will probably get round the individuals and ask them what they want to be ready for for the Ashes, because those five games are obviously the big ones of the summer, and you’ve got to think about what lads want. But what if something was to happen in that game (Ireland) and we lose someone for the Ashes,” the all-rounder said.

He added, “It’s just one of those where you have to weigh up the options of what the individual person actually wants out of that week, versus do we really need to play that one. Because, obviously, I’m right in saying that series is bigger than that game against Ireland.”

Acquired by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 16.25 crore, Stokes was the third-costliest pick in the IPL auction – only behind fellow countryman Sam Curran (Rs 18.25 crore) and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green (Rs 17.5 crore).

SA-W vs BD-W Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Match 20 | SA-W vs BD-W Dream11 Prediction Today | Cape Town Pitch Report

The business end of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 brings us to the last game before the playoffs where South Africa take on Bangladesh at Newlands, Cape Town. The game is a do-or-die match for the hosts with respect to their qualification for the semi finals. On the other hand, Bangladesh are already out of the qualification race and hence have nothing to lose and will definitely try to be an obstacle for the hosts.

South Africa have won one game out of the three they have played so far whereas Bangladesh are yet to open their account. The bowling departments of both teams have been more effective than the batting and hence it is going to be a clash between the bowlers of the respective sides. This game could be a low-scoring thriller, but the home side will want to be as efficient as possible to avoid that.

England is at the top of the points table in Group B with three wins in three games. They are the only unbeaten side in Group B. England defeated India in their last game by 11 runs and they will be very confident coming into this match. Their bowlers, especially the spinners – Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn have been in excellent form.

Natalie Sciver and Heather Knight have been consistent batters for them. Alice Capsey played a good knock against Ireland. The form of their openers is a bit concerning for England and needs to be taken care of before the semi-finals.

Pakistan women, meanwhile, are in the 4th position in Group B with only one win in three matches and they are already out of the semi-finals race. They were defeated by the West Indies in their last game by three runs.

Pakistan has been very inconsistent as a team and that’s the main reason for their poor performance in the tournament. Their batters have been very slow with the bat. Pakistan will look to win their last game of the campaign.

Will Jasprit Bumrah be fit for IPL 2023?

Cricket News: Will Jasprit Bumrah be fit for IPL 2023? | India monitoring workload of Jasprit Bumrah ahead of IPL 2023

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might monitor the workload of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah as and when the 29-year-old returns to competitive cricket in the coming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bumrah is currently rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The NCA has not cleared him to be considered for a call-up to the national team yet.

Bumrah, who last played an international game in a T20I against Australia on September 25, has played a couple of practice matches at the NCA in the last 10 days. The BCCI does not see Bumrah returning straight to the IPL as a point of concern considering that they were anyways wanting to build up the intensity of his workload block by block upon his return, Cricbuzz reports.

In that case, playing a set of T20 games before gearing up for a prospective World Test Championship (WTC) finale and the ODI World Cup later on this year seem to be ideal for the injury-hit pacer. However, so far, it has not been confirmed whether Bumrah’s employer Mumbai Indians (MI) will agree to any sort of restrictions over his workload during the course of the IPL.

The aforementioned portal reports that there have been occasions in the past when international boards have issued conditional no-objection certificates (NOCs) for their players.

This includes certain clauses such as not making the bowler bowl over 24 deliveries in the nets, not playing them in more than a specified number of games consecutively and also obtaining their fitness parameters on timely intervals. To ensure a fair process, the BCCI might as well make these guidelines mandatory for every bowler.

Meanwhile, Bumrah was not named in the squads either for the remaining two Tests vs Australia nor the three ODIs in March against the visitors on Sunday.
