RCB vs RR Preview Dream11. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals Preview Dream11 Prediction
Two teams who have been in do-or-die mode for a couple of weeks now. One side is about to take its last breath, and the other is doing enough to keep hopes alive of a miraculous playoffs appearance.
Not even the philosophical, faithful Royal Challengers Bangalore fans can realistically believe they can make the playoffs. Despite four wins out of five before their defeat to DC, it has been another underwhelming canpaign for Virat Kohli’s men. It was another season of hope for RCB, but it hasn’t materialised. However, they can now be of nuisance value to their opponents. Will they end RR’s season?
Rajasthan Royals made a late run to the playoffs last season. They are attempting to do it again, and even though SRH’s net run rate boosting win over KXIP yesterday is a blow, Steve Smith’s men are still in with a chance. Their first win this season was over RCB, and they will be out to ensure their win over SRH last game isn’t their last.
Key to an RCB win
RCB’s death bowling made for grim viewing once again. Their poor last four overs vs DC was ultimately the difference between winning and losing. Here, they need a polished performance at all stages of the innings, with RR’s top order in good form – Ajinkya Rahane, Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith are all playing well. So, Umesh Yadav will be key in the powerplay, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal up until the middle overs, and Navdeep Saini and even Marcus Stoinis at the death.
Also, can Virat Kohli play a big innings? He has had three low scores in a row – something so rare for the India and RCB captain. He and in-form Parthiv Patel can provide a quick start that pushes RR back, and remind them of their pace bowling worries from earlier in the season. If RCB do the right thing and bat Marcus Stoinis at four, RCB have a top four – including AB de Villiers – that can set up a huge total.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – It wasn’t a good death period for RCB vs DC.
Key to a RR win
RR bowled nicely as a unit in their last-start win over SRH. The much-maligned Jaydev Unadkat picked up man-of-the-match, but the challenge for he and RR is to back up their effort well. Conditions at the Chinnaswamy are different to Jaipur, which puts onus on Varun Aaron and Oshane Thomas in particular to be as accurate as possible with their pace. Shreyas Gopal has a superb record vs RCB, so he can keep things tight in the middle overs, especially if RR make a strong start. Can RR get the better of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers?
Also, there was much to like about RR’s top four against SRH. Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone began with a strong opening partnership, and if they can replicate what DC did a couple of days ago vs RCB, it sets things up nicely for Sanju Samson, Steve Smith, Ashton Turner and Riyan Parag to play off the back of. Samson in particular has fond memories of the Chinnaswamy, belting 92* off 45 balls there last year. Against an RCB attack that continues to have its struggles, a big opportunity awaits RR.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – Will Steve Smith lead his team to victory?
Possible Playing 11
RCB: 1. Virat Kohli (c), 2. Parthiv Patel (wk), 3. AB de Villiers, 4. Heinrich Klaasen/Shimron Hetmyer, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. Marcus Stoinis, 7. Gurkeerat Singh, 8. Washington Sundar, .9 Umesh Yadav, 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. Navdeep Saini
RR: 1. Ajinkya Rahane, 2. Liam Livingstone, 3. Sanju Samson (wk), 4. Steve Smith (c), 5. Ashton Turner, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. Stuart Binny, 8. Shreyas Gopal, 9. Jaydev Unadkat, 10. Varun Aaron, 11. Oshane Thomas
This will be Steve Smith’s last match for RR this season. It will be his 50th match as captain in T20s.
Yuzvendra Chahal is two wickets away from 100 in IPL.
Virat Kohli currently has 49 wins as an IPL captain.
Match Prediction
Huge game for RR as they look to keep their season alive.
It is hard to predict which RCB side will turn up in this game. Will they perform really well now that the pressure is gone? Or will RR continue their good run?
Cricket News: Why is Tamim Iqbal out of the BAN vs IND ODI series? | Tamim Iqbal ruled out of BAN vs IND ODI series
Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against India due to a groin injury. The setback has also put in doubt his participation in the Test series between the two countries slated to start off from 14th December in Chattogram.
The 33-year-old suffered this injury during a warm-up match on Wednesday. “Tamim has a Grade 1 strain on his right groin which has been confirmed following an MRI. We will maintain a conservative treatment protocol for him for two weeks after which his rehab will begin.”
“Unfortunately it means he will not be available for the ODI series and will be doubtful for the Test series,” Bangladesh team physio Beyjedul Islam Khan was quoted in a report by ESPNcricinfo.
Tamim Iqbal joins Taskin Ahmed on the sidelines
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has called up Shoriful Islam from their ‘A’ squad as a back-up for Iqbal. The board hasn’t named a replacement for the southpaw yet but the squad will be regretting another key player biting the dust for this ODI series after Taskin Ahmed was ruled out of the first ODI on 4th December in Mirpur due to a back injury.
The 27-year-old pacer has been taking a pain-killer injection to cure the injury that he suffered during a Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) match on 20th November.
This follows the shoulder setback that ruled him out of international action earlier this year. Ahmed has come up as a prominent force in the pace bowling department since his comeback to international cricket in 2021. In 2022, he has taken 12 wickets in nine ODIs at an impressive economy rate of 4.88.
The first two ODIs will be played in Mirpur on 4th and 7th December, with the final one to be played in Chattogram on 10th December.
Whenever we think about great cricket players like Sir Don Bradman, Brian Lara, Sir Viv Richards, or any other exceptional cricketer, we always think if they had any special talents or was hard work enough to make them among the greatest players of all time. It is a long debate, and everyone has different views about it. So, we will elaborate on a few points to clarify what it requires to be a good cricket player.
The importance of talent for a cricketer
Talent is important in a cricketer’s life as it gives a smooth head start. When a player is born gifted with a special talent, they can perform well in that part of the game. For instance, it can be a special batting shot or bowling action.
Additionally, this talent helps selectors to identify the better players in the early stages of their cricketing careers. Coaches can create great players by selecting the talented ones and polishing them.
What is the importance of hard work in a cricketer’s life?
Talent might be important in a cricket player’s life, but hard work is also very important. Even when a player is not born gifted with a special talent, he or she can still achieve some skills through hard work that polishes their abilities.
All players need the right coaching, and they can improve significantly by working hard. However, it needs more input from the players when they don’t have a god-gifted talent. Hard work will push a player to the limits of the best performance.
Your daily routine never stays the same
Speaking of hard work in a cricket player’s life, it is not only about them playing. Good cricketers must work hard throughout their day. Here are some routine activities that every hard-working cricketer follows during the day:
Body workout for 2 hours
Working on cricketing skills for 3 hours
Monitoring sleeping time
Monitoring diet, etc.
Is there anything else that you need from talent and hard work?
You might have the talent, hardwork or both. To become a good cricketer, these may not be enough. Sometimes, it becomes the state of mind that overcomes physical abilities. So, having the following is necessary for everyone who wants to be a good cricket player:
Passion for the sport
Determination to achieve the success
Talent and hard work
Dedication and commitment to yourself
When you combine your physical abilities, talent, and hard work, with a state of mind, determination, and passion, there will be no stopping you.
Bonus Tip:
It is important that you always stay positive and motivated. There will be some good days and some bad days in your career. With a positive mindset and necessary motivation, you can use your skills and abilities to their fullest and perform well.
Final Verdict
Some cricket players are born gifted with a special talent, while some are self-polished players. However, it is safe to say that nobody is born in their best form. While talented players get a slight edge in their early days, if they work hard enough, they can also achieve the same heights of success. Lastly, talented ones who use hard work to polish themselves are always the best.
Cricket News: 5 incredible records England broke on day one vs Pakistan | Records for England on day 1 of Rawalpindi Test
Test cricket on flat pitches are often forgotten in a hurry. How many of you remember the bore draw between Pakistan and Australia at Rawalpindi earlier this year?
However, England’s first day of Test cricket in Pakistan since 2005 was one that will be remembered for years to come. Under the guidance of the attacking Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes, England’s batsmen produced a record-breaking day to leave Pakistan in a position where they can only scramble for survival.
5 records England broke on day 1 of Rawalpindi Test vs Pakistan
England belted 506/4 in just 75 overs in a merciless display. Along the way, they broke some incredible, long-standing Test records. Here are some.
Most runs scored on day 1 of a Test match
In scoring 506, England set a new record for the most runs scored on day one of a Test. They went past Australia’s 494/6 against South Africa, set way back in 1910.
In over a century of Test cricket, never before had four centuries been scored on the first day. Zak Crawley (122), Ben Duckett (107), Ollie Pope (108) and Harry Brook (101*) all passed three figures. Out of the four, only Duckett finished with a strike rate below 100; a meagre 97.27. How dare he.
England’s newest Test opening combination wasted no time in setting the record straight. After slamming 174 runs in the opening session, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett set a new world record for most runs scored in the first session of a match.
Fastest double-century opening stand in Tests
Crawley and Duckett weren’t done. They hit 233 for the opening wicket at an incredible run rate of 6.53. This is the fastest double-century stand for the first wicket in history, going past Australia’s 6.29 by Joe Burns and David Warner against New Zealand in 2015.
In that game, Australia went into their second innings with a massive lead of 239.
Fastest century by an England opener
After months of difficulties, Crawley enjoyed one of his best days. In bringing up his century off just 86 balls, he became the holder of the fastest Test hundred by an England opener in history.
Harry Brook also had a blinder, achieving England’s third-fastest century in any position (80 balls).
Cricket News: Gautam Gambhir: Foreign coaches make money and vanish from India | Gautam Gambhir on foreign coaches
Former India international Gautam Gambhir has raised eyebrows by commenting that foreign coaches make money and vanish from the country, Free Press Journal reports.
The 41-year-old instead appreciated the trend of onboarding Indian coaches for the national team seen in the forms of Ravi Shastri, Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid taking over the coaching responsibilities since 2015 onwards.
Indian coaches good for India team – Gambhir
“One really good thing that has happened in India cricket in the last six or seven years, is that an Indians have started coaching since Anil Kumble,” Gambhir said in a FICCI event on Wednesday.
“I am a strong believer that an Indian should coach the cricket team. There has to be emotions involved. We give a lot of importance to foreign coaches. They only come here and make money and they vanish,” he added, according to a video that the former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper shared on his Instagram handle.
In his 13-year-long international career, Gambhir played under the tutelage of multiple international coaches like John Wright, Gary Kirsten and Duncan Fletcher. The southpaw even played an instrumental role in helping India lift the 2011 One Day International (ODI) World Cup under Kirsten’s watch.
Gambhir spoke about the emotional aspect of the game, indicating that only a native coach can resonate with the sheer love that Indians carry for the game.
“Emotions are involved in sports. And the only people who can be emotional about Indian cricket or Indian sports, are people who have represented their country. So whether it is now Rahul Dravid, before that Ravi Shastri and Anil Kumble, I hope this trend continues,” Gambhir explained.
He further quipped, “You ask Rahul Dravid, he will be more passionate than all those other guys. Wish I had played under Dravid or Shastri or Kumble.”
Gambhir actually did play under Kumble’s stewardship for a short while made he made a brief comeback into the Test team during England’s tour to India in October 2016.
Cricket News: Most runs scored on day 1 of a Test match | List of highest number of runs scored on day 1 of a Test match
It has been a long wait between Test tours of Pakistan for England. After one day, it was worth the wait as Ben Stokes’ team smashed the world record for the most runs scored on day one of a Test.
BazBall was in full effect as England’s batsmen took Pakistan’s hapless bowlers to the cleaners on another flat Rawalpindi pitch. Four England batsmen – namely Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook – hit centuries in one day. Remarkable.
Most runs scored on day 1in Test cricket
England 506/4 vs Pakistan, Rawalpindi, 2022
England’s 506/4 is the highest number of runs scored on a day one of a Test match. Incredibly, play ended 15 overs early due to bad light with Brook (101* off 81 balls) and Ben Stokes (32* off 15 balls) keen to flatten Pakistan’s bowlers even further.
The highest number of runs on any day of Test cricket is 588/6 by England against India at Manchester in 1936. There is little doubt that England would have beaten that in Rawalpindi.
Australia 494/6 vs South Africa, Sydney, 1910
England’s 2022 team broke a 122-year record. The previous best was Australia’s 494/6 against South Africa way back in 1910. Warren Bardsley (132 off 150 balls) and Clem Hill (191 off 200 balls) took South Africa’s bowlers to the cleaners en route a victory by an innings and 114 runs for the hosts.
Australia 482/5 vs South Africa, Adelaide, 2012
Australia again. South Africa again. But, this time is was much more recent. In the game that Faf du Plessis batted a remarkable 376 balls to save the Test on debut, Australia smashed 482 on day one. Michael Clarke led the way with a double century, one of four he struck in a memorable 2012 for the then-Australia skipper.
Australia 475/2 vs England, The Oval, 1934
Speaking of double centuries by Australian captains, the great Sir Don Bradman smashed 244 off 271 balls on a remarkable day at The Oval in 1934. Opener Bill Ponsford also hit a double century (266) off a total of 422 balls. Incredibly, Australia scored 701 and went on to win by a massive 562 runs.
England 471/8 vs India, The Oval, 1936
Two years later, England belted 471/8d in one day against India. The great Wally Hammond hit 217, supported by Stan Worthington’s 128. The hosts went on to win by nine wickets after chasing the small target of 64 with ease.

The best cricket references to Cristiano Ronaldo’s missed header | Cristiano Ronaldo misses header at FIFA World Cup: The best cricket jokes
Cricket and Cristiano Ronaldo don’t cross paths. This time, the wonderful world of Twitter made the connection after Ronaldo didn’t in Portugal’s 2-0 victory over Uruguay in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Since Portugal’s first goal was awarded to Bruno Fernandes, debate has been rife over whether the Portugal great made the slightest of contact with the ball en route to the goal. Piers Morgan certainly believed so (of course).
Best cricket jokes and references to the Cristiano Ronaldo header saga
The cricket references were outstanding. Snicko, hot spot and the like was brought into the conversation. Here are some of the best reactions, including from England cricketers Chris Woakes and Saqib Mahmood.
What’s snicko saying on that ‘Ronaldo’ goal? ? flat line I reckon ?
“Flat line on Ultra Edge, no contact with head. I'm going to recommend you overturn your decision and award the goal to Bruno Fernandes…” pic.twitter.com/khVC13rQGS
Ronaldo’s Portugal will play South Korea on Friday December 2, before they play in the Quarter Finals. In the cricketing world, attention moves to Test cricket as the race towards the World Test Championship Finale heats up.
Cricket News: World Test Championship WTC 2021-2023 scenarios | World Test Championship scenarios for AUS, IND, SL, SA
The current cycle (2021-23) of the World Test Championship (WTC) is entering a busy period with the limited-overs frenzy of the last six months settling down gradually. Several teams have their red-ball assignments lined up in the next four months with the final of this edition set to be played at The Oval in London in June 2023.
As of now, Australia, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa occupy the first four spots in the WTC standings. Only the top two teams will progress to the final and hence the battle for the same is likely to intensify soon. In this article, CricBlog takes a detailed look at the qualification scenarios for the top four sides placed in the WTC rankings.
WTC 2021-2023 scenarios
1. Australia
World Test Championship WTC 2021-2023 scenarios: Australia are in a good position to qualify.
Points: 123
Percentage: 66.67
Remaining Tests: 2 vs India (away)
Australia has done well by accumulating 136 points with a 66.67 per cent winning rate in WTC 2021-23. But, now they are in some strife as they are 2-0 down in India.
The only way Australia will miss out on the WTC Final is if they lose 4-0 and Sri Lanka win both Tests in New Zealand. In such an instance, Australia’s win percentage will drop to 59.65, with the Lions going above them with 61.11.
India
World Test Championship WTC 2021-2023 scenarios: Will India make their second-straight WTC Finale?
The maximum Sri Lanka can get is 58.33. The corresponding figure for South Africa is 55.56. So, India can put these results out of the equation and seal their qualification with at least 3-1 win over Australia.
Sri Lanka
World Test Championship WTC 2021-2023 scenarios: Dimuth Karunaratne will be vital in New Zealand.
Points: 64
Percentage: 53.33
Remaining Tests: New Zealand (away)
Sri Lanka are positioned in third spot currently but they have a tough task ahead of them with a two-match Test series in New Zealand.
To qualify, Sri Lanka must win 2-0 to finish on a win percentage of 58.33. Also, they will need Australia to lose 4-0 in India.
NZ vs IND 3rd ODI Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | NZ vs IND 3rd ODI Dream11 Prediction Today | Christchurch Pitch Report
Given New Zealand and hosts India are in next year’s World Cup, the result of this ODI Super League clash may seem inconsequential. However, it is a good opportunity for both teams to build important momentum ahead of next year’s showpiece event after rain washed out the second ODI.
The Black Caps are fresh off an excellent win in the opening match, where Tom Latham and Kane Williamson led the way with a magnificent partnership. The two stalwarts will be hoping for a strong platform from openers Finn Allen and Devon Conway, both of whom are searching for their best form currently.
Also searching for answers is India’s bowling attack. After a promising start in Auckland, the tourists had no answers, with another example of their inability to defend a total away from home this year. Before they tour Bangladesh in what is a mammoth schedule, can Shikhar Dhawan’s team end this tour on a high?
NZ vs IND 3rd ODI Possible Playing XIs
With New Zealand unable to lose the series, the Black Caps may opt to rest Tim Southee.
New Zealand: 1. Finn Allen, 2. Devon Conway, 3. Kane Williamson (c), 4. Daryl Mitchell, 5. Tom Latham (wk), 6. Glenn Phillips, 7. Mitchell Santner, 8. Michael Bracewell, 9. Matt Henry, 10. Tim Southee/Adam Milne, 11. Lockie Ferguson
India fans were disappointed that Sanju Samson was dropped for the second ODI. He could come back into the XI if India choose to rest Suryakumar Yadav, who has had a big year. The other option may be to leave Deepak Hooda out of the XI, but the Indians may want the sixth bowler.
Tom Latham struck a brilliant 145 in the first ODI. The left-hander has a great record in ODIs at Hagley Oval, with 366 runs in nine innings at an average of 52.28 and strike rate of 92.65. This includes two centuries.
Latham is often brilliant between overs 11-40 against India. In this period, he has struck 581 runs at an average of 64.6 and strike rate of 93.6.
Kane Williamson has hit three half-centuries in six ODIs at Christchurch. He too is coming off a brilliant knock in the opening match, where he hit a 98-ball 94*.
Williamson in ODIs vs India: 26 inns, 1,078 runs, avg. 43.12, SR 75.43. In New Zealand, the average bumps up to 58.09 with seven fifties in 12 innings.
Michael Bracewell took eight wickets in five matches in the T20I Tri-Series against Pakistan and Bangladesh in Christchurch last month. He averaged 10.50 and conceded just 4.94 per over.
Matt Henry has taken 12 wickets in six ODIs at Hagley Oval. He averages just 17.83 with an economy of 4.14.
Lockie Ferguson has also enjoyed success on this ground. The fast bowler has taken nine wickets in four ODIs at an average of 15.33 and economy of 5.11.
India:
Shubman Gill looked good in the rain-ruined second ODI (45* off 42 balls). This year, Shubman has struck 625 runs in 11 matches at an average of 78.12 and strike rate of 104.16.
Shikhar Dhawan averages just 33.46 in 14 ODIs vs New Zealand. But, he hit a fine 72 in the first ODI, part of 642 runs this year at an average of 40.12 and strike rate of 75.79.
Shreyas Iyer has been one of India’s fine performers in ODIs in 2022. The right-hander has struck six 50+ scores in 11 innings, with a total of 566 runs at an average of 62.88 and strike rate of 98.19.
In four innings against New Zealand, Shreyas has struck 297 runs at an average of 74.25 and strike rate of 98.01.
Yuzvendra Chahal is India’s leading wicket-taker in ODIs this year with 21 at an average of 27.09.
Arshdeep Singh will be key upfront against New Zealand’s openers, who are both looking for runs. Finn Allen in particular struggles against the ball coming back in.
Other Stats and Facts
New Zealand have won 10 of their 11 ODIs at Hagley Oval.
Washington Sundar scored 37* off 16 balls and took 0/42 in the first ODI.
New Zealand have not lost a home ODI series since January 2019. They can’t lose this one.
Left-arm orthodox spinners have the best average (26) and economy (4.9) of any bowling type in ODIs at Hagley Oval since the start of 2012.
Hagley Oval Christchurch Pitch Report and Weather
The chasing team has won the past three ODIs at Hagley Oval. The average first innings score in these matches is 240. Expect a hard surface with assistance for the bowlers.
Unfortunately, afternoon showers are forecast in Christchurch. So, the captain who wins the toss may choose to bowl.

AUS vs WI 1st Test Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | AUS vs WI 1st Test Dream11 Prediction Today | Perth Pitch Report
It’s Test season. After a plethora of white-ball cricket, it’s time to show some love to the game’s most traditional format.
However, the key question is whether the shift in format can lead to a shift in fortune for West Indies. After their dismal showing in the T20 World Cup, the general feel is they will struggle in the Tests as well. Their batting, despite the emergence of the very talented Tagenarine Chanderpaul, looks light against Australia’s established attack.
So, how well the Windies apply pressure with the ball is arguably their best chance to get a foothold in the contest. The Perth track offers plenty of pace and bounce, so eyes will be on the pace attack in terms of how well they can use the help on offer.
For Australia, not only is a Test win up for grabs, but crucial World Test Championship points. The hosts are right in with a chance of making next year’s finale. But, with a tough tour of India next year, they can ill-afford any slip ups here against a team that has not won a Test downunder since 1997. Steve Smith is feeling good, while runs up top for David Warner and Usman Khawaja will set the side up in what is forecast to be warm, dry conditions right throughout the match.
AUS vs WI 1st Test Possible Playing XIs
Australia’s XI looks settled. Cameron Green will offer the fourth seam bowling option, which allows Nathan Lyon to play, should Australia choose.
With hot, dry weather forecast for the Test, Lyon may have a role to play with some bounce on offer, too.
Australia: 1. David Warner, 2. Usman Khawaja, 3. Marnus Labuschagne, 4. Steve Smith, 5. Travis Head, 6. Cameron Green, 7. Alex Carey (wk), 8. Pat Cummins (c), 9. Mitchell Starc, 10. Nathan Lyon, 11. Josh Hazlewood
Kraigg Brathwaite will lead West Indies. The skipper has a vital role to play with the bat, given his ability to occupy the crease. Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of Shivnarine, could make his debut after some great recent form.
Steve Smith averages a whopping 165.67 in five Tests vs West Indies, including two fifties and two hundreds. In Australia, he has hit 214 runs in three innings at an average of 214.
David Warner averages 38.08 in eight Tests vs West Indies. In four Tests in Australia, the average bumps up to 75.3. Overall at home, Warner averages 60.30 in 50 Tests.
Usman Khawaja is Australia’s leading run-scorer in Tests this year. He has struck 888 runs in 13 innings at an average of 98.66, with three fifties and four hundreds.
Expect Pat Cummins to be right in the thick of the action against a fragile batting lineup. Australia have played five of their seven Tests this year in Asia, and yet Cummins has taken 25 scalps at an average of 25.00.
In 24 home Tests, Cummins has taken 113 wickets at an average of 20.76.
Mitchell Starc has taken 12 wickets in three Tests vs West Indies at an average of 17.92. Josh Hazlewood has taken 20 scalps in five matches at an average of 16.10.
West Indies:
Tagenarine Chanderpaul has made scores of 140*, 23*, 184, 25, 49, 109*, 119 and 56 in his last eight first-class innings.
