RCB vs RR Preview Dream11. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals Preview Dream11 Prediction
Two teams who have been in do-or-die mode for a couple of weeks now. One side is about to take its last breath, and the other is doing enough to keep hopes alive of a miraculous playoffs appearance.
Not even the philosophical, faithful Royal Challengers Bangalore fans can realistically believe they can make the playoffs. Despite four wins out of five before their defeat to DC, it has been another underwhelming canpaign for Virat Kohli’s men. It was another season of hope for RCB, but it hasn’t materialised. However, they can now be of nuisance value to their opponents. Will they end RR’s season?
Rajasthan Royals made a late run to the playoffs last season. They are attempting to do it again, and even though SRH’s net run rate boosting win over KXIP yesterday is a blow, Steve Smith’s men are still in with a chance. Their first win this season was over RCB, and they will be out to ensure their win over SRH last game isn’t their last.
Key to an RCB win
RCB’s death bowling made for grim viewing once again. Their poor last four overs vs DC was ultimately the difference between winning and losing. Here, they need a polished performance at all stages of the innings, with RR’s top order in good form – Ajinkya Rahane, Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith are all playing well. So, Umesh Yadav will be key in the powerplay, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal up until the middle overs, and Navdeep Saini and even Marcus Stoinis at the death.
Also, can Virat Kohli play a big innings? He has had three low scores in a row – something so rare for the India and RCB captain. He and in-form Parthiv Patel can provide a quick start that pushes RR back, and remind them of their pace bowling worries from earlier in the season. If RCB do the right thing and bat Marcus Stoinis at four, RCB have a top four – including AB de Villiers – that can set up a huge total.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – It wasn’t a good death period for RCB vs DC.
Key to a RR win
RR bowled nicely as a unit in their last-start win over SRH. The much-maligned Jaydev Unadkat picked up man-of-the-match, but the challenge for he and RR is to back up their effort well. Conditions at the Chinnaswamy are different to Jaipur, which puts onus on Varun Aaron and Oshane Thomas in particular to be as accurate as possible with their pace. Shreyas Gopal has a superb record vs RCB, so he can keep things tight in the middle overs, especially if RR make a strong start. Can RR get the better of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers?
Also, there was much to like about RR’s top four against SRH. Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone began with a strong opening partnership, and if they can replicate what DC did a couple of days ago vs RCB, it sets things up nicely for Sanju Samson, Steve Smith, Ashton Turner and Riyan Parag to play off the back of. Samson in particular has fond memories of the Chinnaswamy, belting 92* off 45 balls there last year. Against an RCB attack that continues to have its struggles, a big opportunity awaits RR.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – Will Steve Smith lead his team to victory?
Possible Playing 11
RCB: 1. Virat Kohli (c), 2. Parthiv Patel (wk), 3. AB de Villiers, 4. Heinrich Klaasen/Shimron Hetmyer, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. Marcus Stoinis, 7. Gurkeerat Singh, 8. Washington Sundar, .9 Umesh Yadav, 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. Navdeep Saini
RR: 1. Ajinkya Rahane, 2. Liam Livingstone, 3. Sanju Samson (wk), 4. Steve Smith (c), 5. Ashton Turner, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. Stuart Binny, 8. Shreyas Gopal, 9. Jaydev Unadkat, 10. Varun Aaron, 11. Oshane Thomas
This will be Steve Smith’s last match for RR this season. It will be his 50th match as captain in T20s.
Yuzvendra Chahal is two wickets away from 100 in IPL.
Virat Kohli currently has 49 wins as an IPL captain.
Match Prediction
Huge game for RR as they look to keep their season alive.
It is hard to predict which RCB side will turn up in this game. Will they perform really well now that the pressure is gone? Or will RR continue their good run?
Rajasthan Royals (RR) stunned the Gujarat Titans (GT) in an incredible run chase at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday evening. RR skipper Sanju Samson and Caribbean superstar Shimron Hetmyer combined to score 60 and 56 at strike rates of 187.50 and 215.38 respectively to take the visitors over the finishing line after RR were down at 55/4 in the 11th over.
Samson particularly eased the pressure by fearlessly taking down Rashid Khan for a hat-trick of sixes. Youngster Dhruv Jurel played an impactful cameo scoring 18 off 10 deliveries as well. Ravichandran Ashwin hit a boundary and a six off his first two deliveries before being dismissed by Mohammed Shami in the 19th over.
However, RR had already more or less sealed the game by then with Hetmyer completing the final formalities by dispatching Afghan spinner Noor Ahmed for a maximum in the second delivery of the last over.
Earlier, Gujarat put up 177 on the board with David Miller top scoring with 46 to support opener Shubman Gill’s effort of 45 runs. RR pacer Sandeep Sharma delivered another impressive performance, scalping two dismissals whilst conceding 25 runs in his four-over spell.
GT vs RR Twitter Reactions: Royals seal their first ever win over Gujarat Titans
Rajasthan Royals is the future of IPL.
Once Kohli or Dhoni are retired, CSK and RCB will lose their value among fans. But, people love RR as a team. There is no certain player. Just the entire unit. And they also know how to win. GT and RR are biggest rivalries now. #GTvsRRpic.twitter.com/JkrRa3V7sR
Ashwin is Mr. Unpredictable. What a cameo appearance by R Ashwin. This tiny inning made big impact. Great win by Rajasthan Royals they were nowhere after 12 overs. #GTvsRR@ashwinravi99pic.twitter.com/4vBTgOninq
It's baffling how this guy doesn't make the Indian T20 team regularly and how he doesn't get the amount of chances other players do. Sanju Samson is such a talented player, his captaincy is outstanding too. #IPL2023pic.twitter.com/VAvTxlNT4F
Sanju Samson is the only national team batsmen who doesn’t anchor for their franchises. Everyone else is basically an anchor. Kohli, KL, Rohit, Hardik, Gill all are anchors and a line up of anchors just doesn’t work in T20s. #RRvGTpic.twitter.com/v6IdOvmpad
A fighting innings of sanju samson comes to an end, he's definitely one of the finest players of spin. Deserves to be in the Indian squad. pic.twitter.com/MINeCOYVec
Brilliant counter from Sanju Samson. His overall SR against Rashid Khan was <100 with just one six before tonight's knock. With four sixes he moved to the joint-second for most sixes against Rashid. Only Chris Gayle has more sixes (7) v Rashid in the IPL. Took down the best.
“When you play quality opponents on a quality wicket, you get such games. Very happy to compete in such a game and come out on top. It was important to rotate our bowlers, they were playing some quality cricket and we had to respect that. The whole team came up well today and we could restrict them to around 170. The start we had, it shows how good a wicket this was,” Samson reflected on the proceedings in the aftermath of the game.
“I felt short. After I got out, they bowled a couple of good overs, but we should have gone a little harder and got to 200. We did cover it well but when I was watching from outside, I did feel that we were 10 runs maybe short,” GT captain Hardik Pandya mentioned as he believed that GT fell short of a defendable total eventually.
RCB vs CSK Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 24 | RCB vs CSK Dream11 Prediction Today | Bengaluru Pitch Report
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have played out some absolute belters at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium over the years. The last two were out of this world, with CSK chasing 206 in 2018 and RCB winning by one run a year later. MS Dhoni was magnificent on both occasions, and with Thala in terrific form, who knows if there will be another MS special at the Chinnaswamy.
In the context of IPL 2023, this match is certainly an important one. Both teams sit outside the top four but could enter it with victory here, making this contest a test of nerves and steel as well as skill. Both teams still have question marks around their death bowling, but Vijaykumar Vyshak for RCB and the likes of Dwaine Pretorius for CSK can provide impact.
So, will it be CSK who will overcome injuries to their pace attack? Or can RCB overcome their middle order worries and pick up a vital win? This one has the makings of a cracker.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Virat Kohli is seven runs away from 1,000 against CSK. He averages 38.19 with a strike rate of 125.22 in 30 matches.
Kohli is in fine touch. He has struck three half-centuries in as many matches at the M Chinnaswamy this season. His battle against CSK’s spinners will be key.
Faf du Plessis has struck 197 runs at an average of 65.66 and strike rate of 168.37 so far this season. At the M Chinnaswamy in IPL 2023, the RCB captain has scored 73, 79* and 22.
Glenn Maxwell is RCB’s key spin-hitter. He is striking at 188.67 so far in IPL 2023.
Overall against CSK, Maxwell has hammered 288 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 182.28. However, since the start of 2021, Maxwell has scored just 62 runs in four matches.
Eyes are on the impressive Vijaykumar Vyshak. The seamer’s variations were on show against DC (3/20), with his knuckle ball sure to test CSK as well.
Mohammed Siraj has taken three wickets in the powerplay at an economy of just 4.70 so far in IPL 2023. Also, three of his seven wickets overall this season have been left-handers, so his battle with Conway, Moeen, Dube and co. can be vital.
However, Siraj has a horror record against CSK. In eight matches since the start of 2018, he has taken just one wicket at an average of 214.00 and economy of 9.30.
Chennai Super Kings:
Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored 52 off 36 against Mohammed Siraj without dismissal. Overall against RCB, Gaikwad has struck 181 runs at an average of 45.25 and strike rate of 128.37.
Moeen Ali is one of CSK’s X-Factor players. He has dismissed Virat Kohli twice in 18 deliveries in all T20s, conceding 26. He also has a good record against Faf du Plessis, dismissing him twice in 28 balls at a strike rate of 100.
Expect CSK to use Ravindra Jadeja almost exclusively for Glenn Maxwell. In 40 balls in the IPL, the left-arm spinner has dismissed him six times for 49 runs.
The great MS Dhoni is winding back the clock. And who knows what he has in store today. The CSK captain has a superb record against RCB (750 runs, avg. 39.47, SR 145.07) and at the M Chinnaswamy (631 runs, avg. 63.10, SR 175.28).
Dhoni has scored 51 off 28 against Siraj without dismissal.
Maheesh Theekshana took seven wickets in two matches against RCB last season (4/33 and 3/27).

M Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru Pitch Report and Weather
The surface showed signs of slowing down in the RCB-DC game. But, that was a day game. Under lights, expect the ball to skid on nicely, especially in the second innings. In the night games, RCB chased MI’s 171 with 22 balls to spare and LSG prevailed in a high-scoring thriller against Faf’s team.
A warm and clear evening is forecast.

GT vs RR Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 23 | GT vs RR Dream11 Prediction Today | Ahmedabad Pitch Report
In a repeat of the IPL 2022 final, Gujarat Titans (GT) will be up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the second game on Sunday. Gujarat Titans bounced back strongly in the last match against Punjab Kings. Their bowlers did a fantastic job, with every bowler taking at least one wicket.
Gujarat’s batters also did a decent job, particularly Shubman Gill, who played a fantastic knock. GT would want a similar show against a strong Rajasthan Royals unit.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will be high on confidence after defeating Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk Stadium. Devdutt Padikkal played a fine knock against CSK after going through a rough patch earlier, which bolsters RR’s batting unit further. With the ball, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal again weaved their magic. Overall, Rajasthan Royals are looking very stable like the last season.
Expect a riveting contest between the last year’s finalists.

Hardik Pandya has 347 runs at a magnificent batting average of 86.75 and a strike rate of 170.09 against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He has also snared nine wickets at a bowling strike rate of 13.78 against them. In the Finals of IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya was Man of the Match award for his all-round display against RR.
Rashid Khan has ten wickets at an economy rate of 6.02 against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He is currently the third-leading wicket-taker with nine wickets at a strike rate of 10.67 this season. Rashid also took a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the tournament.
Mohammed Shami has taken five wickets at an average of 18 in the powerplay in IPL 2023. There might be some swing available early in the innings, and Shami can exploit that effectively.
Rajasthan Royals:
Jos Buttler is the best T20 batter in world cricket at the moment. He has made 182 runs at an average of 60.66 and a strike rate of 158.26 against Gujarat Titans in the IPL. Buttler can counter the high-end pace of GT bowlers easily.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is in the form of his life. In the powerplay, the southpaw has accommodated 92 runs at a sensational strike rate of 184 and a balls-per-boundary ratio of 2.63 in IPL 2023. He will look to provide a rapid start again from the top.
Sanju Samson has been dismissed for a duck in the last two games. However, he is a quality player and will be eager to bounce back against Gujarat Titans. In the three innings against Gujarat Titans, Samson has 72 runs at a 24 average and a strike rate of 150 in the IPL.
Shimron Hetmyer has made 127 runs and struck at 173.97 with the bat in IPL 2023. 47.24% of his runs have come in sixes only this year. He can again provide the finishing touches in the back end of the innings.
Trent Boult has five wickets at an average of 17.60 and an economy rate of 7.33 in IPL 2023. Boult can be very threatening in the powerplay, like in the last game, if there is some assistance off the deck early on.
Yuzvendra Chahal is the second-leading wicket-taker of the season, with ten wickets at an average of 12.10 under his belt. Chahal has a range of deceiving options in his armour to operate with. He can stifle the GT batters with his high-quality spin bowling.

Shimron Hetmyer at No. 5 or below in the IPL since 2022: 414 runs, 51.75 avg, 157.41 SR & 4.96 BpB ratio. He is undoubtedly one of the best lower middle-order batters in the competition.
Trent Boult needs three more scalps to complete 100 IPL wickets.

MI vs KKR Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 22 | MI vs KOL Dream11 Prediction Today | Wankhede Pitch Report
Mumbai Indians (MI) will face off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 22nd match of IPL 2023 at Wankhede Stadium. MI registered their first win of the season in the last game against Delhi Capitals. The form of Rohit Sharma will please Mumbai Indians, and they would want him to continue the good run. MI bowlers also did a decent job in the match, but the challenge is now backing it up against a KKR side that is capable of scoring big.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday (April 14). Their bowlers looked out of sorts as SRH batters belted them all over the park. While Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh batted well, KKR couldn’t get over the finishing line. The Knight Riders would want other batters to support Nitish and Rinku as they enter a crucial phase of the league, which means the onus is on the top order to deliver.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Rohit Sharma likes batting against Kolkata Knight Riders. In 31 innings, the MI captain has 1020 runs at a sensational average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 129.77 against them. Rohit has also made six half-centuries and a century against KKR.
Cameron Green hasn’t fired as per the expectations so far. However, he batted well in the last game against Delhi Capitals, scoring 17 runs at a strike rate of 212.50. The surface in Wankhede will also suit him with both bat and ball.
Suryakumar Yadav has been out of touch for a while now. However, he boasts of having a decent record against KKR. Since 2018, Suryakumar has scored 337 runs at a 42.12 average and a 145.25 strike rate against them. Can this match finally bring SKY’s magic back?
Tilak Varma is a must-pick player in the fantasy team. The southpaw has barely put a foot wrong in the tournament. In the three innings, Tilak has accumulated 147 runs at a 73.50 average and a strike rate of 158.06 this year.
Jason Behrendorff might enjoy bowling with the new ball at Wankhede. The bowlers get some swing in the powerplay, and Behrendorff had also done it in the past.
Kolkata Knight Riders:
Rahmanullah Gurbaz has batted reasonably well in IPL 2023. The boundaries are relatively short in Wankhede, and Gurbaz can exploit it. He just needs to be cautious against Jason Behrendorff, though.
Venkatesh Iyer has looked in good nick this season. In the three innings, Iyer has 146 runs at a sublime batting average of 73 and a strike rate of 153.68 against Mumbai Indians. With the kind of form he’s in, Iyer can build on this impressive record.
Nitish Rana played an excellent knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last game. Overall, Rana has 145 runs at an average of 36.25 and a strike rate of 157.60 in IPL 2023. Expect another quality knock against Mumbai Indians.
Andre Russell doesn’t require any validation. While Russell hasn’t been in good form with the willow, he is a runaway match-winner on his day. In the last game against SRH, Russell also snared three vital wickets with the ball.
Rinku Singh is the talisman of Kolkata Knight Riders. He made a fighting fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in a losing cause. Rinku can again do some damage to an already depleted MI bowling unit.
Sunil Narine has scalped 23 wickets at a strike rate of 20.65 against Mumbai Indians. He also concedes only 6.60 runs per over against them. Another good outing is well on the cards.
Other Stats and Facts

Tim David in the last four overs at Wankhede Stadium: 72 runs, 327.27 SR in 22 balls. 40.90% of the deliveries have been hit for six by David.
Suryakumar Yadav has been dismissed on a golden duck four times in the last six innings across formats.

The 24-year-old brought up his century off just 55 deliveries as he delivered his first impactful performance since setting foot in the league as one of its most expensive players at a cost of Rs 13.25 crore. He was well supported by the SRH skipper Aiden Markram, who struck 50 runs in 26 deliveries with two boundaries and five sixes.
The duo stitched together a 72-run partnership in 7.5 overs to steer SRH to a majestic total of 228 at the end of 20 overs, with a great contribution from Abhishek Sharma, too.
The KKR bowlers were taken to the cleaners with young spinner Suyash Sharma bearing the major brunt – conceding 48 runs in his four-over spell. Lockie Ferguson conceded 37 in his two overs as well and Indian speedster Umesh Yadav gave away 42 runs in three overs. Brook took a special liking to the KKR fast bowlers as Markram and Abhishek took down their spinners to perfection.
Harry Brook said, "my girlfriend is here, but the rest of the family just left. I knew this would happen as soon as they left I'll get some runs (laughs)". pic.twitter.com/TJatdittlh
For all the sensational shots he’s played, Harry Brook has also provided a masterclass on T20 innings management tonight. Absolutely massacred pace but then swallowed his ego & played the field against spin. Brilliant knock #IPL2023
Harry Brook announces himself to the IPL. No doubt teams will limit the amount of pace they bowl to him going forward, but this has been such a fun watch. Quality, quality hundred.#IPL2023
Wonderful century by Harry Brook he’a an exciting young batsman with excellent eye-hand co-ordination and innovative strokeplay. No dull moment when he is in the middle
However, KKR sure did breathe some life into the chase as captain Nitish Rana played an incredible knock of 75 runs in merely 40 deliveries. He found a fantastic partner in Rinku Singh, who hit four boundaries and sixes each en route his 58 runs in 31 balls. The left-handed duo ensured that Kolkata stayed in the game till the backend of the innings as they ensured that they put every bad delivery into the stands. The chase lost all its vigour with Rana’s dismissal in the 17th over and even Rinku’s late attempts were insufficient to fetch them two points eventually. KKR rounded off their innings at 205 at the loss of seven wickets.
46(33) vs RCB. 48*(21) vs GT. 58*(31) vs SRH.
3 consecutive masterclass by Rinku Singh under pressure, he is turning out to be a different beast for KKR. pic.twitter.com/yHqBRbZ8RD
“SunRisers HARRYbad" Good for #IPL that #HarryBrook has shaken off the cobwebs. The biggest white ball star on the horizon. 228 was too high a mountain but another valiant effort from @NitishRana_27 and pocket rocket @rinkusingh235 – @Russell12A the muscle needs to join the party
Despite the end result, Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh have again proved why they are being rated highly this season. But it was all dwarfed by Harry Brook's madness. #KKRvsSRH#IPL2023
228 was a too high score to chase but #KKR tried well. Unfortunately, #Russel disappointed with bat once again. Gurbaaz & Venkatesh too had a bad day. But #RinkuSingh shined again. #NitishRana was terrific. This defeat is not hurting much. It’s okay. Congrats #SRH#SRHvsKKR
KKR will now head over across the coast to face Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday whereas SRH’s next match is also against Mumbai – on April 18th in Hyderabad.

Blessed with good looks and an overall charming personality, Neymar continues to enthral the audience whenever he steps foot on the field.
4. Lebron James
Chasing his fifth National Basketball Association (NBA) title this year, Lebron James’ popularity has remained intact and in fact even grown by leaps and bounds in his 20th season in professional basketball. LSG vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 21 | LSG vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Today | Lucknow Pitch Report
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on Punjab Kings in the 21st match of IPL 2023. Both teams had contrasting results in their last game. LSG won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket in a last-ball thriller at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, taking them to an impressive three wins out of four.
The form of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran will please LSG, whereas they would want KL Rahul to regain his lost touch soon. LSG’s bowlers have also bowled reasonably well in the tournament, and will be after a strong performance against an inconsistent Punjab lineup.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings have gone off track after winning the first two games. Their batters haven’t fired in tandem so far. The bowlers have been in good form, especially Arshdeep Singh, fighting hard especially in the death overs. A few minor tweaks in the batting unit will help them flourish again.

Possible Impact Player substitute: Rishi Dhawan out, M Shahrukh Khan in.
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Lucknow Super Giants:
Kyle Mayers was dismissed for a duck in the last game. However, the southpaw has been in sublime form with the willow. Expect him to make a few runs against Punjab Kings again. He can also snare a few early wickets with the ball.
KL Rahul hasn’t looked settled at all in IPL 2023, striking at just 100. But he is a quality batter and will look to turn the tables against his former franchise. Rahul averages 29 and strikes at 139.75 against PBKS in the IPL.
Nicholas Pooran in IPL 2023: 141 runs, 47.00 avg, 220.31 SR, 23 boundaries. He has been in superb touch this season. Expect him to play another impactful knock.
Krunal Pandya won Man of the Match award when he last played in Lucknow. Pandya scalped three wickets for 18 runs with the ball. Later, he also scored 34 runs to take LSG over the line.
Ravi Bishnoi in IPL 2023: 6 wickets, 16 SR, 19 avg & 7.12. If the surface is similar to the last game in Lucknow, Bishnoi will be arduous to counter.
Mark Wood will always be a wicket-taker, irrespective of the surface he bowls on. He has nine scalps so far this season. His high-end pace can trouble the PBKS batters.
IPL 2023 Match 21: LSG vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction Today Match – Can KL Rahul find his best touch?
Punjab Kings:
Shikhar Dhawan has been in good form this year. In the four innings, the PBKS captain has amassed 233 runs at an average of 116.50 and a strike rate of 146.54. Dhawan has also made two fifties. PBKS would want him to fire again at the top.
Liam Livingstone is coming after a break. However, he is one of the most valuable players in T20 cricket at the moment. He was the second-leading run-scorer (437) for PBKS at a magnificent strike rate of 182.08 last season. Livingstone also took six wickets.
Sam Curran might enjoy bowling in Lucknow. His off-cutters into the deck can be threatening if the surface is on the slower side, particularly in the slog overs. His batting will also fetch a few points.
Arshdeep Singh in the powerplay in IPL 2023: 5 wickets, 9.60 SR & 14.80 avg. He has managed to move the new ball at times this season. PBKS would want him to dismiss a few batters again upfront.
Rahul Chahar took two wickets and gave away only 30 runs in the only game against Lucknow Super Giants last season. He dismissed Marcus Stoinis for a duck.

RCB vs DC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 20 | RCB vs DC Dream11 Prediction Today | Bengaluru Pitch Report
Is it now or never for Delhi Capitals (DC)? With Gujarat, Lucknow, Rajasthan and co. in good touch, the Capitals must win this clash to avoid falling way too far behind the leaders of the pack.
To do that, their batsmen must step up. The lack of runs is having an impact on David Warner, whose strike rate is reflective of a player who believes he cannot be dismissed early otherwise his team may be bowled out for under 100. There is no better opportunity to score runs than at the batting paradise that is the Chinnaswamy, so now is the time for DC to step up.
There is also a sense of urgency for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After an excellent first win against Mumbai Indians, Faf du Plessis’ team has since lost two in a row. Their bowling in the middle overs was a real struggle against LSG, but the expected appearance of Wanindu Hasaranga can be a massive boost to RCB.
But, another key question is whether they have enough batting depth to reduce their reliance on du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Indeed, therein lies an opportunity for the Capitals. Crucial match.
How does our season preview of the Delhi Capitals shape up so far? Watch on YouTube here or below!

Wanindu Hasaranga joined RCB on April 14, and is expected to slot in today in place of either David Willey or Wayne Parnell. He took the second-most wickets in IPL 2022 with 26. So, it remains to be seen if RCB will play the extra legspinner in Karn Sharma or play a domestic seamer in his place. It could be a debut for Vijaykumar Vyshak.
Royal Challengers Bangalore possible bat first XI: 1. Faf du Plessis (c) (OS), 2. Virat Kohli, 3. Glenn Maxwell (OS), 4. Mahipal Lomror, 5. Dinesh Karthik (wk), 6. Shahbaz Ahmed, 7. Wanindu Hasaranga (OS), 8. David Willey/Wayne Parnell (OS), 9. Harshal Patel, 10. Mohammed Siraj, 11. Karn Sharma/Siddarth Kaul/Vijaykumar Vyshak

IPL 2023 Match 20: RCB vs DC – Kohli and Maxwell will be vital for Bangalore.
Delhi Capitals have decisions to make. First, do they keep Rilee Rossouw out? With Khaleel Ahmed battling a hamstring injury, DC may need to find another domestic option that allows them to play an extra overseas batsman with Mitchell Marsh back with the squad.
Delhi Capitals possible bat first XI: 1. David Warner (c) (OS), 2. Prithvi Shaw, 3. Mitchell Marsh (OS), 4. Manish Pandey/Yash Dhull, 5. Rovman Powell/Rilee Rossouw/Phil Salt (OS), 6. Lalit Yadav, 7. Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Virat Kohli is 51 away from reaching 1,000 runs against Delhi. He averages a superb 52.72 and strikes at 135.57 against them.
Kohli is also 95 away from 3,000 T20 runs at the Chinnaswamy (avg. 38.22, SR 140.68). He has struck 82* and 61 on this ground so far this season.
Faf du Plessis has also enjoyed batting on this ground this season. He has struck 73 and 79*. But, his powerplay strike rate – 112 in the IPL since the start of 2022 – will be in focus.
Since the start of 2021, Glenn Maxwell has smashed 131 runs in three matches against DC at an average of 65.50 and strike rate of 150.57.
Maxwell vs Kuldeep can be a fascinating battle. Kuldeep has dismissed Maxwell thrice in 21 balls in the IPL, but the right-hander has smashed 59 runs.
Speaking of RCB’s middle overs struggles, Wanindu Hasaranga can help solve them. Out of his 26 wickets in IPL 2022, 19 of them came between overs 7-15.
Watch out for Mohammed Siraj against the struggling DC top order. He has dismissed Prithvi Shaw thrice in 27 balls, conceding 41 in the process.
Delhi Capitals:
David Warner has struck three half-centuries in four matches this season. But, the strike rate of 114.83 is under the spotlight.
Warner has an incredible past record at M. Chinnaswamy (470 runs, avg. 58.75, SR 169.06) and against RCB (820 runs, avg. 45.56, SR 161.42).
The struggling Prithvi Shaw will have to turn around his modest record against RCB (184 runs, avg. 23.00). He did show glimpses last game against MI, but can he produce anything significant?
Axar Patel will be vital with both bat and ball for DC. He struck a superb 54 against MI to get his team into the game, and has taken seven wickets in as many matches against RCB since the start of 2019.
Axar has good numbers against du Plessis in T20s, with total figures of 3/81 off 73 balls.
Anrich Nortje was outstanding at the death vs MI, but he can also have a key role to play up top. He has dismissed Faf du Plessis twice in 26 deliveries in T20s, conceding just 33.
Nortje has taken seven wickets in three matches against RCB at an average of 11.29 and economy of 6.58.
Other Stats and Facts
Head-to-head: Matches 29, RCB 18, DC 10, N/R 1.
Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav could be key in limiting Kohli’s impact. Virat strikes at just 113.8 against Axar (58 balls) and 105.7 against Kuldeep (35 balls).
Dinesh Karthik smashed 66* (34) against DC last season. But, he averages just 15.50 in 20 innings at the M Chinnaswamy.
Mohammed Siraj vs David Warner in the IPL: 23 balls, 42 runs, one dismissal.
Kuldeep Yadav has taken just four wickets in seven matches against RCB at an average of 47.25 and economy of 9.95.

KKR vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 19 | KOL vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Today | Eden Gardens Pitch Report
Another day, another thrilling last over finish in IPL 2023? It’s definitely a possibility. Two sides on a high, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), meet in an intruiging clash with the aim of building on recent victories to keep pace with the tournament leaders.
KKR are certainly on a high and have proven they are not beaten when there is still hope. After losing convincingly to Punjab Kings, Shardul Thakur was outstanding with the bat against RCB, followed by Rinku Singh pulling off the heist to end all heists.
However, what these trends suggest is KKR are reliant on individual brilliance after getting themselves into trouble. The law of averages can eventually catch up with you, so the Knight Riders will be after a more consistent showing, starting with their death bowling and top order batting.
For SRH, they too have enjoyed victory after a horrid start to the tournament. The addition of Mayank Markande gives the team such an added strength, but with the right-handed nature of their batting lineup, they must ensure they don’t allow KKR’s quality spinners to settle.

Eden Gardens Kolkata Pitch Report and Weather
RCB struggled against spin on what was a pretty good batting surface. Both SRH and KKR have quality spinners who can exploit any turn available, in addition to the pace on offer at Eden Gardens. So, a high-scoring game is possible, but wickets are certainly a possibility, too.
There were two high-scoring matches on this ground in IPL 2022. Gujarat chased Rajasthan’s 188 with three balls to spare, before RCB scored 207 and beat LSG by 16 runs. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in October and November 2022, the average first innings score in seven matches was 176.14. The team batting first won four of these games.
A very hot day is forecast in Kolkata, with temperatures over 40 degrees. So, dew is a possibility later in the evening.
